Was a beautiful day out on Sunday. I tried to take advantage of it. By the time I got into the city there was quite a bit of fog so I decided to head downtown to take advantage of the great light. Foggy days are the best for pictures. All the highlights and shadows become muted. Later on in the day I would be heading to Coney Island so I thought this might be a good place to start.

Some very strange lightning this evening. I think this is my first time seeing horizontal lightning. It is amazing how much color variation there is depending on how big the lightning bolt is as well as how long I expose the image for. It is always exciting to see what results are, especially because I can live another day to photograph more bad weather.
