His pen touched the paper, but his hand refused to sign his name. He threw the pen against the table and cursed loudly. Junhyung grabbed the papers and slammed open the doors to run after Byunghee. He ignored the lawyers as he entered the hallway and saw Byunghee halfway down the hall walking to the elevator. He ran after her and grabbed her arm.

He pulled her into the emergency stairway and pinned her to the wall, “Are you really okay with this?” He shoved the papers in her face.

“Junhyung…” She looked down at the papers and looked away quickly, “Of course I am. I’m the one who wanted out.”

He chuckled, “You’ll never change. You’ve always been a terrible liar.”

“Just sign the papers, Junhyung.”

His smile fell, “I will if you can answer me this. Do you still love me?”

“Why doe—”

“Answer me!”

“It doesn’t matter.”

“Fuck, Byunnie! Yes it does, damn it!”

“Because I still love you!”

Byunghee stopped in shock, “Wha-what?”

Junhyung pressed his hand on the wall beside Byunghee’s head, “I love you. I will only ever love you, Byunghee. I don’t want to be without you. Please.”

“Wha-what happened to us? We were supposed to be invincible” she whispered.

Junhyung touched her face, “We weren’t focusing on us anymore, but give us another go. I swear it won’t end like this again.”

Tears fell down her face as she reached up and hit his chest, “You can’t do this to me… That’s not fair! You broke my heart. I hate you! I hate you so much!”

He let her hit him before he pulled her into a hug, “I love you. I’m sorry for hurting you, but please… don’t make me sign these papers.” The divorce papers were still in his left hand as he pressed a kissed on her lips. He pulled away, but his lips hovered over hers, “Please tell me you love me… I need to hear it again. Last night didn’t count.”

“You heard me…”

“I thought it was a dream, but I’m glad it wasn’t” he chuckled. “Please. Tell me again.”

“I love you, Junhyung.” He smiled and pressed his lips on hers again. He pressed up against her as the kiss heated up and his right hand went into her hair.

He felt the papers in his hands and growled, “Fuck these.” He pulled the paper in front of her and tore them in half before throwing them to the ground. He kissed her again and again, “Let’s go home, Jagiya.” He rested his forehead on hers.

“What about the lawyers?”

“Fuck them. I’m sure they realized by now that we’re not divorcing.” Byunghee chuckled and nodded. Junhyung took her hand in his and led her down the stairs to the first floor. He took her to the car and drove her home.

The moment they walked into the house, it felt different. It didn’t feel as lonely as before. It felt like home. Their home. Junhyung didn’t hesitate as he lifted Byunghee off the ground and led her to the bedroom, “I hope you’re ready because I’m not letting you leave me again.” He whispered in her ear as he lied her on the bed and climbed on top of her.

That night they lied in bed together curled up in each others arms. Junhyung was tracing Byunghee’s side as his eyes stared at the hickeys that he left for the world to see.

“Oh, I forgot.” Junhyung pulled away from her and got out of bed and got his boxed from the floor.

Byunghee groaned, “This better be important! I was comfortable!”

He chuckled, “It is baby girl. Hold on.” He left the room and returned a few minutes later. He crawled back in bed and held up her left hand. “This belongs on your finger” he slipped her wedding ring on her finger and kissed it. “Never take it off again, okay? I almost lost it twice.”

Byunghee chuckled as she wrapped her arms around his neck and kissed him, “It won’t leave my finger.”

“Good” he kissed her back before he deepened the kiss and moved her on top of him. She sat on him and broke the kiss to get air, “I love you, beautiful.”

She smiled at his words and leaned down, “I love you too, Junhyung.” She kissed him again.

Two years later

Byunghee became an author. After her three-book series was released, she wrote more. She didn’t know when it happened, but she found herself as a bestselling author.

As for Highlight, they were stealing the hearts of all that listened to them. They successfully completed a world tour. Junhyung was able to focus on music and produce better songs. They had their last concert of their East Asia tour back in Seoul and Byunghee was backstage watching them perform. At the end the members were giving thanks to the special people in their lives when Doojoon pointed off stage for Junhyung.

(insert gif) He saw Byunghee holding their year old son, Jaemin, as they waited for him off stage and he couldn’t stop the smile that graced his lips. He walked up to them and kissed Jaemin’s head, “Do you trust me?”

Byunghee smiled, “Of course.” Junhyung turned to head back on stage, but held out his hand for her to hold. Byunghee curiously reached out and held his hand and Junhyung pulled them to the stage.

Junhyung wanted to share every experience with Byunghee and Jaemin. He knew what it felt like to lose the love of his life and he didn’t want to chance it again.
