“I leave the genre labeling to other people. I really do. If I were to think too hard about it, that would stifle you creatively. If you think too hard about who other people want you to be as an artist, it stops you from being who you want to be as an artist.”
“One thing I’ve learned is your life is your life, it’s not what people write about your life and it’s not what everyone’s perception of what your life is. I never want to turn into that person who says to whoever I may be seeing or thinking about going on a date with: “Let’s not go to dinner in public tonight because that might get written about.” I don’t want to let the fact that people are watching me change the course of my actions in relationships.”
I feel like there are so many people I admire for so many reasons that I cant look at one persons life and say, I want that life. I want to make my own history. I look at anything in life like as long as you do what you believe in, then its going to work out. Because even if other people dont like what youre doing, youre happy because you did what you believed in.
