I was talking to my brother who is gay about the ace community and he was offended by the term "allosexual" because he sees it as a term which categorizes people by their sexual attraction. I get where he's coming from especially people who are LGB who are already singled out by their sexual orientation to be further classified by their sexual preferences. I was wondering if anyone else had a similar experience and if we as a community should consider the effects our words have on our allies.

Well the word Allosexual isn’t a bad word? It just means someone who feels sexual attraction? Maybe try to explain it to him that it isn’t a word used against them by the ace community

But followers, have anyone of you experienced similar things?

Have some unnecessary JD angst
AU where his plan to blow up the school was successful, and you know how him and Veronica were supposed to watch the building fall, and toast marshmallows?

Well what if she doesn’t come out of the building, but JD doesn’t realize until it’s too late, and the last thing he sees before the building collapses is Veronica waving from a window

Just like his mom

The time has come for Marshal to leave my town. I’ve had him for like two years now, so this has been a very painful decision. I thought it wasn’t important to me about how well my villagers and their houses suited my town theme, but I guess that’s changed :-(

So I really need someone to adopt him. It is vital that I know he’s moved to somewhere he will live happily, with a mayor that will love him as much as I do and take very VERY good care of him. I’d say he’s free but he isn’t, the price is giving him as much love and attention as he deserves and if there ever comes a time where you can’t have him anymore I need you to make sure he goes to another good home too. That’s a mayor’s oath you will be breaking if you don’t!!

As you can see from the pictures he is an amazing friend with a pure heart and soul ;-;

So if you want him let me know! You will also receive his picture with him if you want! Please do not ask for him if you’re only interested in trading him and not having him long term. I know this post isn’t very aesthetically pleasing but reblogs are appreciated :-)

**1/2 Hello Steph! There is a thing that I haven't seen anyone mentionig, but it still hunts me. In TST, where john and mary get simultaneusly two messages from Sherlock, three bizzare things happen. One, they seem to convey different meaning, Mary's looking somewhat like a challenge, or a threat. Two, the "you go, no you go" is way to extended, and John is acting strangely, considering he is the one who should "come immediatelly" and Mary the one who should be protected? But that is not all.

**2/2 The third, and weirdest thing is that after that oh-so-dragged scene, we see Mary leaving without being told THE ADDRESS. I have watched the couch scene a lot of times and while John may have seen Mary’s message, Mary hasn’t seen John’s. SO, HOW DOES SHE KNOW WHERE TO GO? And why John does inform (Lestrade?) after his -belated- departure? Isn’t there an emergency? Why is that scene even shown, but for us to wonder the previous scene’s fuckiness? Am I wrong? Have i neglected something?

all that seems like an elaborate trap for mary to me, but i can be wrong

Hey Nonny!

I’m assuming you wanted anonymous since you turned it on for two of the three parts, LOL, and assuming that last bit is part of this ask, since it was immediately above these two parts.

Okay, so yeah, I’ve seen discussion about this scene in the past and at how weird it is because Sherlock is cryptic with Mary, and not John. GIVEN that I believe in a John’s Alibi Theory, I think that this is a detail that they had to fit their story around – text messages ARE admissible evidence, and in an episode so heavily focusing on the texting aspect, I think that is a clue that all of the texts actually ARE real. No matter how “nice” they make Mary in their “story”, John and Mary’s texts still remain, so they have to somehow work that cryptic text into their narrative. I think it’s deliberately cryptic because the real text IS cryptic, and YES, I think it was a trap for Mary. That WHOLE aquarium scene seems – pardon the pun – FISHY to me: Lestrade, Mycroft and John just pop out of no where, Mary’s miraculous change in he physics, the peekaboo cops… nothing seems right. I do believe it’s an altered narrative, being told and possibly retold (with the repeating-but-slightly-different scenes) as an explanation to take the blame away from John for killing Mary.

Do I think she’s dead? Maybe yes, maybe no? I don’t know right now. I’m leaning mostly to YES, but the posthumous DVD’s and the phoney-as-fuck shooting are what’s throwing me off. I’m starting to wonder if John and Sherlock somehow / some reason took the TD-12 drugs which caused John to hallucinate and Sherlock to start overdosing again. I don’t know. Regardless, YES, I do think that the aquarium is a staged and doctored event, and that the ambiguous text from Sherlock to Mary is a clue that she is still the villain that we knew her to be.

“Hey, you okay?” You stared at the Daxamite, he looked at you the smile not quite reacting his eyes. You knew Kara and everyone at the DEO were doing their best to help him learn about Earth but from experience, you understood how overwhelming the whole thing could be.

“It’s just, it’s all different. I’m not used to this.”

“I get that. Here. Come with me.” You held an arm out to him, he took your hand, curiosity getting the better of him. “Where are we going?”

“Just shhh, you’ll see.” You got in your car, driving aimlessly for a while, away from the city. It’s something you always did when life got to be too much. When all you could see was the distant lights of National city behind you, you parked. Looking out onto a barren field that stretched on for miles.

“You’re uh, you’re not gonna kill me or something right?” Mon-el joked.

“Oh yeah, definitely, brought you out here to hide the body. Just come on.” He followed you out of the car, walking until you placed yourself on a patch of grass and weeds. Mon-el drifted down to sit beside you, watching as you laid back and let your eyes fall onto the skies above. The sun was just setting and the first flicker of stars could be seen overheard. “I come here sometimes, when I need to breathe or get away. It’s easy to forget that we all need breaks, even you Mon-el.” He stared at you, an appreciative smile settled on his face.

In the next moment, he laid down beside you, an arm resting under his head, his head turned towards you. “Thank you, for this.”

“Anytime, you don’t need to wear yourself out trying to figure this all out at once, just so you know. It all gets easier eventually but that comes with time.”

I challenge you to do the van drop and the aftermath... Up to the fade to black.

Oh for you love anything… you know I love ya <3<3

And I know you love that aftermath scene… one of my favs too

(Still one of my fav pics even got it signed by them both)

Lets see if I could do this without gifs again..

So we have our lovely two walking up to check out the van, doing that circle around each other walk, where one come out from behind the other. How many times have seen that?  My goodness right? So they get to the van and want to check it out and Carol says she’ll go in first cause she lighter and Daryl is like ‘oh hell no.’

There could be a walker hiding in there behind a gurney or a first aid kit or something an in no way is he letting her go in. His ass is going in first. Yet another example of being protective that is just… yeah. Until the herd shows up that is and Daryl literally pushes Carol’s ass (and he does if I remember correctly ha) into that van and they get inside. And now they are royally screwed.

Sitting in the front seat, Daryl has his hands braced on the dashboard and he is breathing hard, unable to focus until Carol puts her hand over his, grabbing onto him. It seems to steady him, refocus him and he brushes her fingers with his thumb (such a lovely subtle little addition) and looks over at her panicked face, finally opening up and showing how scared she really is. Everything she’s been trying to hide from him. He looks in her eyes, and she looks at him and he utters those words. Those wonderful words with so much meaning.

“you hold on..”

It not just about holding on right before they go over. It’s about holding to him, to herself, to life to everything. He’s telling her to not give up. They’ll make it. She’ll make it, if she just holds on.  And Carol gives this little nod and closes her eyes, still holding his hand right before they are pushed over the side.

Now overlooking the defiance of the laws of physics (haha still makes me laugh) the van crashes to the ground. The first thing Daryl does, after getting a face full of air-bag is look at Carol, and she looks at him. They check on each other first and see that other is, in fact okay. They held on it was okay.

Such beautiful relief for both of them. “we’re ok” Carol says with such relief in her voice. They had lived though it.

After the rain of walkers they get out and it’s clear Carol is injured and Daryl puts his arm around her to help her walk. She tries at first but stumbles and he slides his arm under hers and holds her up, their arms around each other. It’s so lovely and metaphorical the way he helps her there, like he’s been doing the entire episode. She wants to do it herself and can’t quite so he helps her, trying to carry some of that weight for her, like he’s trying to help her walk.

It’s beautiful really.

Not too many other characters could pull off these scenes with such little dialogue, but every word is meaningful and every move has meaning as well.  The metaphorical fall, holding on and finding out you can make it, you can survive.

And doing it together.

I loved that entire episode it still remains one of my favorites and they so need to give them another bottle cause you need these type of meaning rich scenes. They have been lacking lately.

I’ve been having fun with these challenges :)

While I’m on the subject of RH and ghost stories, I have a special place in my heart for the minor sidequest where Stocke talks a guy down from getting himself killed rushing Protea’s soldiers because of the sheer, towering irony of who this lesson in moderation is coming from. If the guy ever sees a picture of Ernst there is a very really possibility he will start a religion.

i suddenly, rather sadistically want an au where, for one reason or another, belle also get mortally wounded somehow during the battle on the roof of the castle. She still manages to say I love you, but loses consciousness, and so the beast transforms only to see her dying, and he begs the enchantress to save her, and she does, but it’s conditional— belle can never leave the castle grounds without the wound reappearing and killing her.

where it goes from there is still fuzzy— does he agree, thinking he can search for a way to break the spell? let belle die because he doesn’t want to force her to live as a prisoner again? try to negotiate another price that he’d pay rather than her?

someone come do this with me

“Humans are weird” idea

It seems to always be the case that aliens have names that are “unpronounceable by the human tongue.”  But, y’know, humans are actually really good mimics.  We can do impressions of anything, and some of us are really good at it.  What if that was a special skill of ours that was constantly surprising the aliens?

Alien talks about human like s/he’s not there, only to be shocked when its own language comes out of that strange little mouth.

Alien can’t figure out WHAT that noise onboard is, only to find human crewmate pranking it.  (“As soon as he leaves, I’m gonna do the sound of a failing hover engine, okay?  Just see where he looks first!”)

Alien hears a different noise and a thud, then “Sorry, I tripped.”  (”But you squeaked.”  “Yeah, didn’t mean to.  Sounded kinda dumb.”)

Alien is alarmed to hear the sound of two Dangerous Animals coming from the containment room.  Thinks the one has multiplied.  Runs in, find human yowling back at it.  (“It seemed lonely, so I was talking to it.  Reminds me of a cat I had once.”)

The away team is threatened by a Large Animal protecting its young.  Alien Captain knows what to do.  Shoves the human up front and points.  “Make the noises that the little ones are making.  This is your time to shine.”

Why Sangwoo Became Affectionate

As my best friend @officialperidork said, chapter 6 is basically an ecchi. We are presented with a soft, sensual, and sexually charged tone which is a dramatic shift from what the readers now understand to be the norm. But we don’t really get an explanation and I doubt a handjob would turn Sangwoo from knife-happy to cuddly.

After reading @killingandstalking ‘s theory that Sangwoo’s mother may have sexually abused him, everything becomes clear.

Recapping the interactions in chapter 5, we see that Sangwoo was initially carrying unconscious Yoonbum to the basement but stopped midway and instead brought him to his room. We are not given a motive for this. I doubt it was a sudden change of heart or pity. I think Sangwoo recalled an event from his past where he was sick as a child.

Sangwoo places Yoonbum on his bed, helps him drink down the salt water, and tells him to rest. Later he comes back to the room and asks if Yoonbum is okay, and here is when Yoonbum shares how he wants to eat at the same table as Sangwoo from now on.

This is a key shift in the roles of the characters. Sangwoo has not shared the big table with anyone else to our knowledge and made Yoonbum sit on the small table like he did as a child. Now child Sangwoo shared the small table with his mother and must have questioned why he and his mother couldn’t eat at the big table too. By expressing how he wants to eat at the big table, Yoonbum makes a connection to child Sangwoo. Child Sangwoo only ate with his mother.

If they both eat at the big table now. Sangwoo may be able to “change” his past.

His Father doesn’t exist.

Yoonbum now has the role of child Sangwoo.

Sangwoo now views Yoonbum the way his mother viewed him and so he begins to comfort him the same way. He introduces to Yoonbum to intimacy in the same room he was as a child, and thus the fear of his mother has passed and he is now in control of how the “child” is handled.

In chapter six, we see Yoonbum explaining how since that incident, Sangwoo hasn’t hurt him, ordered him around, or made him do chores. Yoonbum is no longer the housewife. Sangwoo has taken on the role that his mother had and takes care of the abused “child”.

Dealing with the aftermath when “father” is gone

normally Yoonbum would be sprawled on the floor getting beat by now because of “father”

Showing empathetic concern

definitely not something “father” would do to “mother”

Changing the subject/showing affection

Yoonbum is even drawn like a child getting his cheeks pinched

Overall gentleness in caretaker behavior

Yoonbum explains that it feels like he’s living with twins that have a completely different personality from one another and it took time for him to get used to this. He goes on to say Sangwoo bathes and dresses him daily, which is really not like him. He normally would not give a damn if Yoonbum was hungry, dirty, or hurt.

We do not know how long this behavior continues. We later see them sleeping in Sangwoo’s room, under the same covers. I think we can assume with the abusive dad, Sangwoo’s mom often slept in Sangwoo’s rooom instead…and that’s when things get really fucked up.

Sangwoo solidifies his role as the mom.

1) He teaches sexual acts in the room he was haunted in

he even thanks Yoonbum after the blowjob

2) He caresses with damp hands

3) He provides food rather than having Yoonbum cook

4) He explains the situation the way an abused parent would

Again, time passes after this. And then Sangwoo tests his loyalty and Yoonbum tries to make his escape and royally fucks up. I’ll make a post about that too later.

BONUS *when you’re your own mom and you cuddle yourself??*

killing stalking is a wild ride that we’re all going to get thrown the fuck off of

Now I know where Yuuri’s ‘I’m not that good at competitive figure skating’ attitude comes from.

This is his last year GPF’s SP score. From the minus GOE you can see he somewhat flubbed his Triple Axel and Triple Lutz, but no deduction which means he didn’t fall on his butt and no marker either. You can see his score is 82.80.

Meanwhile, JJ with 1A, 1Lz-COMBO got…

Yuuri has been underscored all of his life.

Save him.

I know.

Can we take a second to talk about the I love you. I know. interchange in Empire?

I get in a lot of arguments with my guy friends about this. Bless them - I mean really - because they think they are being progressive. And its actually kind of heart warming to see. But, usually, the people who think Han is an asshole for saying I know instead of I love you, too chalk his behavior up to some kind of toxic masculinity. Han won’t say he loves her because he refuses to be vulnerable. Han is too arrogant to admit he has a weakness. Han is aggressive. Han is downright cruel at times.

And… okay. I guess I can see where they’re coming from. But, to me, that is a really shallow interpretation of his character.

I guess what I, and I think many people who ship Han/Leia, see in that interchange is that Han’s response isn’t motivated by his own feelings. His response has nothing to do with what’s he’s thinking or how he feels.

It’s about validating how Leia feels.

Which, honesty, I think she needed more at that moment than a mirrored declaration.

Leia sacrifices everything for the cause. Her strength to put the rebellion before her personal interest is incredible. It’s her defining characteristic. It’s what we all know and love about her.

It’s also what she knows and loves about herself. By Empire, Leia has lost almost everything of any personal value to her. She’s lost her family. Her home. Her friends. Her position in the Senate. All she has is her own sense of identity. The only thing she can use to define herself anymore is her core values.

Can you imagine how difficult it would be to let anything compromise that?

Admitting that she has feelings for Han would be admitting that she has room in her heart for anything other than the cause. It would be admitting that her life is not solely defined by the rebellion that her family died for. It would be admitting that behind her emotionless, rational, militaristic persona is actually just a twenty-two year old girl with feelings, longings, and desires that are entirely selfish.

Han knows this about her.

Ultimately, it’s why Leia loves him. Because even Luke, her own twin with whom she shares a connection in the force, at times fails to see her as anything other than the princess.

But somehow this dirty, cocky, smart ass, nerf herder is the one person who has ever managed to look into her soul and see past every single wall she has built around herself.

Han knows her. She has never had to tell him anything. She has never had to pour her heart out to him. She has never had to make herself vulnerable in front of him. And yet, he still knows.

I guess many people see that scene and they see a cocky smart ass being clever and evasive instead of sincere when he says I know

But that’s not what his eyes say.

His eyes say…

I know you love me.

I’ve known you love me for a long time.

It hasn’t scared me away.

It hasn’t made me think less of you.

It hasn’t made me see you as weak.

You’ve screamed at me, hit me, threatened me, insulted me, and done everything to push me away, but I still know that you love me.

And I know you know that I love you, too.

Because it’s taken an invasion of a base, a broken down hyperdrive, a giant cave dwelling slug monster, Boba Fett, a carbonite chamber, and Darth fucking Vader himself to actually make me leave you.

And I know that you will do everything in your power to bring me back.

Yuuri is going to St. Petersburg to train with Victor

Okay so remember that scene from the ending

It seems here like Yurri just got off the bus stop and is running to meet up with Victor and Yurio with Makkachin who I assumed ran up to Yuuri when he got off. From the looks of Yuuri’s longer hair and how excited and happy they are to see each other, some time must’ve past since when they were last together at the GPF.

Now take a look at where they are:

Doesn’t this look a bit familiar?

It’s St. Petersburg, the place where Victor first left to go coach Yuuri. Okay so why? Well remember what Kubo-sensei said about paying close attention to the decision Victor makes regarding his career:

We already know that Victor has decided to come back into the competitive skating world but now we see that he has also decided to stay as Yuuri’s coach also. Kubo-sensei also mentioned to watch the whole episode until the very end so what we are seeing here in that ending is Yurri coming to St. Petersburg to be with Victor so they can train together and I’m going to cry. The fact that they made it this place instead of an airport or any other place is beautiful because this is the place that Victor left to go be with Yuuri and now it is also the place that Yuuri came to to be with Victor. THIS PERFECTLY LEADS INTO THE SEASON TWO THAT WE HAVE ALL BEEN PRAYING FOR, KUBO-SENSEI PEASE

im so proud of alec for apologizing but im just as proud of magnus for not letting himself be treated like that, he was understanding and trying to be helpful but alec crossed a line and magnus called him out on it, he respects himself and i’m so happy to see that being shown on screen, you shouldn’t let anyone treat you badly, you can empathise with where they’re coming from but it does not excuse their behaviour and magnus bane, saviour of 2017, is doing an amazing job at showing exactly that

things i liked in the christmas special
  • how dramatic it was. for real. the songs were so overdramatic i was like “me @ life”
  • seeing everyone in their cute little winter outfits?? even tom and sabine?? adorable
  • this special warmed me up more to Nathalie’s character. you can see she does really care about Adrien.
  • CHAT LOOKING OUT MARINETTE’S HOUSE WHILE SINGING??? i can’t believe marichat is canon
  • the most dramatic scene in miraculous ladybug’s history ever??? I WAS LIKE THE HELL IS THIS INTERNAL STRUGGLES WHERE DID IT COME FROM when chat noir was about to cataclysm THE FUCKING BIG CHRISTMAS TREE?? but his mom appears in his mind so he just nopes the fuck out and destroys something with himself instead?? like that fanart??? i can’t??
  • ADRIEN OPENING MARINETTE’S GIFT: we thought that dreamy face was gonna be for ladybug but NOPE!! it’s about freaking!!! marinette!!! “she’s so kind” child ur so in love stop lying to urself
  • Adrien wishing Merry Christmas to Plagg and using the hat to keep him warm I’m so fucking????? OH MY GOD???
  • the whole little converation with Santa and Adrien giving the hat to him. He’s so precious

recent collection of jimin and his (?) baby ft. jungkook lol (more descriptions in the captions)
i’m still debating where this kid came from (eg. coz of abo, from a mysterious affair, it’s actually baby jm, legit he’s their kid, or born from a peach come down from the heavens IDK YET)

[here are my original tweets]

So I’m watching the very first ep again and realize that when Shiro crash-lands and gets taken in by the hazmat crew he’s wearing what we learn later is his gladiator/prisoner getup:

but immediately following the rescue and subsequent getaway (during which he is out cold and still obviously in the same clothes) we see him the next morning,

clearly wearing his own clothes.

But where did they come from??

The other three paladins-to-be left the garrison with just the clothes on their backs (and lbr Shiro’s height and shoulder-to-waist ratio means he’s not going to fit into anything of theirs anyway), and there’s absolutely no way he’d fit into anything of Keith’s either for the same reasons.

That outfit is also not generic officers’ or instructors clothing from the garrison either, because I’m like 95% sure we see examples of both earlier in the ep:

Which leaves only one obvious explanation:

Keith has some of Shiro’s clothing.

Headcanon with Lance and Lotor

Lance and Lotor meet for the first time in the heat of battle.

Lotor knocking the bayard from Lance’s hands and kicking him to the ground, where his helmet falls off from the impact.

Lance glares up at the masked Lotor, who walks up with sword in hand. Out of respect for beating the Paladin, Lotor removes his visually blocking mask.

Lance let’s his glare fall away and into a small laugh, leaving Lotor to question in anger.

“What’s so funny?”

“I was just thinking “What a nice way to go with a beauty in my sights.”“

Lance closes his eyes, as he doesn’t want to see his end come. After awhile, he opens his eyes as Lotor is gone.

Lance looks around, lost and confused. Then he gets yelled at by Keith, telling the Space Case to move it.

Lotor is behind a corner, holding his chest and freaked out because no one has ever called him a beauty and when someone does call him that, it’s from a Paladin.

*cue Lotor to try to bring Lance to the other side. ..
