The details about Re:vale’s first CD have been released! Like the CDs before it, there will be dual cover art. They look really nice! The CD will go on sale on June 22, so please preorder it if you haven’t already!

The tracklist has also been revealed! Up until now, the only Re:vale song we’ve seen is SILVER SKY, but the CD was already confirmed to have an untitled second song. They have released the title of this new song in the tracklist:

  2. Dis one.
  3. SILVER SKY (off vocal)
  4. Dis one. (off vocal)

Furthermore, there is a new commercial for Re:vale to promote their CD! You can watch it here. Just a few more days until the CD comes out!

(EDIT: for some reason I said this was their second CD, but it is their first! My mistake!)

anonymous asked:

im confused theres new shizuo and izaya alts?? where can I see them???

oh god… i have to dig through my tags one sec.

There was a release of the drama cd that came with a cover art of Izaya as artist or mangaka or writer. (We’re guessing mangaka because the drama cd has Celty telling Shinra let’s become a manga artist!)

http://www.durarara.com/bluray/index.html - sample of the drama cd at the bottom!

(his name isn’t confirmed but it’s probably 灯台もと暗し , toudaimotokurashi or Kurashi or Toudaimoto. We don’t know yet) It means ‘it’s darkest under the lamp’ a proverb to mean “you can’t see what’s near you”

This is a new release where you see a glimpse of Shizuo in the character song of Shizuo (again samples are there too!

Shizuo has pink sunglasses it seems. And pink sparkles.

http://www.durarara.com/bluray/02.html - go to the bottom for sample.

Until someone buys it and posts a scan, I guess it’ll be hidden. Maybe it’s going to be a popular singer and writer combo?? (Maybe it’s not Shizuo as a singer. I think i can make out a black scarf and microphone but I can’t tell. For sure he has pink sunglasses!)

Thoughts on the Monkees 50th Anniversary Tour and New Album

So, as most everyone has probably seen by now (either on here or via posts on Facebook), the Monkees are going to be touring this year and releasing a new album (titled Good Times!) in honor of the 50th anniversary of the TV show.

(Album cover art for Good Times!)

This news does not come without a hitch, however: Michael Nesmith will not be participating in the tour, and (it appears) is contributing only one song to the album, “I Know What I Know” (which he wrote a couple of years ago). And of course Davy Jones is no longer with us, which begs the question: Is this really “The Monkees”?

Plenty of folks have already mounted the rallying cry of “It’s not the Monkees without Davy!” all over Facebook, though a vintage recording of “Love to Love” is slated to appear on the album. Now, though, there’s a new voice added to the choir, of people feeling less-than-enthusiastic about these proceedings due to a lack of Nez involvement–with some going so far as to post pleading/whining comments on Nez’s FB asking why he isn’t participating.

The fact is, it is Nez’s choice to be part (or not) of the Monkees’ 50th anniversary. He toured with Micky and Peter at the end of 2012, in 2013, and 2014, and it may simply be that an extensive tour is not something he’s physically up to right now, or has the desire to do. Certainly, we’d like to see Nez tour with the guys (and our interest level in the 50th anniversary festivities would be significantly higher), but he does not owe the fans a thing, and seeing people say otherwise is nothing short of infuriating.

With that said, looking at the current Monkee configuration (and the fact that Micky and Peter already toured together last year as the Twokees), it is challenging to find a great deal of enthusiasm for this new tour/album. As we’ve said previously, all the more power to folks who haven’t yet had a chance to see them play together, but those of us who’ve already been on this ride are feeling a little burned out, and like this is more about trying to capitalize on the 50th anniversary than them genuinely caring about it. Even if new songs from Good Times are going to be performed (thus changing up the set list from last year), it still feels like something is missing.

But, there’s no way to know from now how this is all going to turn out, or what developments the coming months may bring. It’s not out of the realm of possibility that Nez may randomly show up for one tour date, as he is wont to do (the Greek Theater in L.A. on the ‘86 tour, for example), but ultimately, he’s going to do whatever he’s going to do. And it may be that the album (which is supposedly going to have song written by Rivers Cuomo of Weezer and Noel Gallagher of Oasis) will be a pretty groovy listen. Trying to hope for the best here, after all. So we’ll see what happens.

What do you guys think? How do you feel about the new Monkees album/forthcoming tour? Feel free to reblog this and share your thoughts…
