This song caused an emotional breakdown … Perfect match and perfect video. I cannot believe how badly we were teased, baited, used and when we weren’t needed anymore, tossed away. People say move on, this is just fiction! Yeah, maybe it is just fiction, but how many achievements of human kind were driven by fictions and ideas, stories and legends, heroes and villains? Would you say for all the great thinkers’ and artists’ works who started a revolution changing people’s mind and inspiring others, that they are just fiction? Would you say it for Voltaire, Da Vinci or Shakespeare? We need stories to have hope and the anchor for finding our inner strength that we are here, we exist, we are valid, we are equal, we have the same flesh and bones as anyone else. We are not secondary, disposable, less or the ones who should hide. Our gender, skin colour or sexual orientation shouldn’t make us less (or more) as under the socially forced layers, we are all the same.
Love has no gender requirements, love is love and love is needed by everyone. Talent is not skin colour, gender and sexual orientation dependent. Never let people belittle you, never let people handle you invisible. We are here, we are strong and we can change the world. That is what I saw and learnt during the last year.
Our Heda stays in our heart, and her legacy will drive us.
Ste yuj and always remember what we achieved, together, with camaraderie.
I know what you’re thinking. “It’s been a year, most of them are probably over it by now, this is their final hurrah before they go on to other things.”
While I’m sure that’s true of some of us, however, I can assure you that the majority of us will never forget what you did. We will never forget what you took from us. And we will NEVER, ever forgive.
Our Heda tried to institute Jus drein nou jus daun, but that ended when you took her life. Shot her for no other reason than loving who she loved. In doing so you reminded us that as LGBTQ people, her life - and ours - meant nothing to you. Just like Lexa, we were nothing more than a vehicle for attracting viewers for your “groundbreaking storytelling.”
So thank you. Thank you for reminding us that we have so much more work to do. Thank you for reminding us that just like the Commander, our fight is never over.

He leaned heavily against the
metal rail, allowing his weight to settle while he forced his mind to clear.
His eyes found the shattered glass chamber and he felt his heart sink.
Not for himself, but for his
people. Now praimfaya would take them
He pulled his eyes away, choosing
to scan the room instead. His eyes rolled over Clarke, her mother and the
others of Skaikru, coming to rest on the one they called Raven.
She had taken a seat on a set of
stairs opposite him, her injured leg stretched out before her. One of her hands was absentmindedly scratching
beneath the brace she always wore.
Roan considered her carefully, his
eyes tracing up the brace to her hip, admiring the slender curve of her waist,
the strength of her arms, up to the sharp angles of face.
She was beautiful. It was
something he could admit to himself. He’d noticed the first moment he’d met
her. And despite her weakness, she was strong. There was fire in her eyes when
she spoke and it commanded respect; even his.
He watched as she shifted,
dropping her head into her hands for just a moment. It was frustration he
sensed from her, not sadness or pain. She had not yet given up, this was only
As he watched she lifted her head,
eyes skimming over the room and stopping directly on him. Their gazes met but
he did not lower his eyes. She matched him, chin rising just the slightest bit,
a small, stubborn challenge.
If the mood had been lighter, he
might have let a smile slip at the sight. But the air was heavy with despair
and he could feel it weigh hard on his thoughts.
Raven watched him, her eyes
narrowing when he did not redirect his gaze. Finally she let out a small huff
of annoyance and pulled herself to her feet, bending her leg awkwardly before
testing her weight on it.
Pacing herself steadily, she moved
into the next room and out of sight without a since glance back. Roan watched
her go, his eyes analyzing her every move as he’d been trained to do. It was a
skill of the warrior, used to evaluate the enemy and learn their weaknesses. He
did it instinctively now, no doubt as his mother had intended when she’d first
Raven moved easily despite her
handicap. Such an injury would have been a death sentence to any one of his own
people and yet she did not allow it to stop her. She fought it every moment of
her life. He could see it in the minute details of her expressions, the pain
she tried to hide from everyone was not invisible to him.
And yet she persisted.
In his eyes, this made her as much
a warrior as any one of his strongest guards and he couldn’t help admiring her. His eyes lingered on the doorway
she had disappeared through. For the first time, he felt his heart ache for a
member of Skaikru and he felt the loss the world would suffer if Raven was gone
The feeling confused him and he
gave his head a rough shake to clear it. He spared one last glance after her.
“Ste yuj, gona.” He said
softly, before finally pulling his eyes away.
The name of someone you love can be heard under any condition.
My entry for the CCS fashion zine, Tomoyo’s Secret Diary! Preorders ended so I’m posting my full piece. I’m a huge tomosaku fan, and a fan of CCS’ outfits in general, so I was really happy to be able to draw them in their winter and summer school uniforms!
I’ve also included a sneak peek at my entry for the Release! CCS fanzine. Preorders are still open with more information here.
I’ll have both of these as prints for Anime Expo at table B100.
Thank you to both Yuj and Jo for the invite and organizing these great projects!
I will be at AX again this year! at the Artist Alley table K23-24 “Uchuu Summer” with Billies, GabbyandYuj.
