Not to be that salty Jin Stan but- fuck it yeah I’m as salty as the Dead Sea and for good reasons.
Okay so BigHit keeps feeding us with lame excuses to justify Jin’s lack of lines in all of BTS’ songs. “The members get parts that suit their voices the most” “we can’t help it” “it was the group’s decision” yeah right then how come Jin doesn’t sing the most in Butterfly, a song that suits his voice the most? There are so many songs in which Jin could have had more lines, yet the same thing keeps happening : they ignore his talent.
Also don’t tell me they’re all treated equally cuz no bitch they’re not. Jin (and also the hyung line in general) gets less opportunities than the maknae line - and I am not blaming Kookie, Jimin and Tae, I’m really happy for them. But like… when will Jin debute as an actor - something he studied for and dreamed about since forever ? When will he sing in their songs ? When will he be acknowledged by is own compagny as an amazing and talented visual, vocalist and actor ?
I think it all started with “There’s no song where Taehyung does the intro..” “Then I’ll make one!” at a concert, and we laughed and let it pass by. We just smiled away like that, but it kept lingering in the corner of my mind.
It so happened that a few months ago, I think it was when Taehyung’s desire for composing fired, he showed me a song, saying, “Hyung, I want to try making a song like this..” and asked if I could write a track for him. I said “Okay,” then played the chords and sent him. But that song was all just snaps on EP chords, it could hardly be called beats, so I didn’t like it. And then the talk about Festa came.
I asked “Shall we make one together properly this time?” “Sounds good, hyung!” And we started like that.. We keep going back and forth overseas. Choosing the instrument or theme is the most important when composing, but I had a hard time focusing at first. So I asked Taehyung.
“What do you want the song to be about?” “The dawn.” “The dawn? What kind of dawn?” “Just, when sitting at the park at dawn waiting for my friend.. The chirping sound of the birds.. I really like that moment.” “Oh, that hazy, bluish moment??” “Yeah! I like that bluish quiet moment.” “Me too!!”
We formed the emotion bond like this, and started right away. Later I asked him who that friend was, he said it’s mostly Jimin..* Anyway, I really like the dawn too. I’m a fan of the moon and the dawn. The twilight, the moment when the day moves from afternoon to night, And the dawn before the morning.. You know what it is.
So I thought “This would go well with guitar, let’s try guitar”. And played the guitar and piano. Luckly the track came out well and we decided to write the melodies separately to combine later. I always like watching the moon, so I thought I must start by talking about a letter sent to the moon. Luckily when we combined later, Taehyung liked it too.
So it started with my intro and Taehyung’s B part. Taehyung’s chorus was better too, but it felt a little strained so I gave him a hand.
Taehyung entrusted the lyrics to me, so I wrote most of it, but the chorus’ start was written by Taehyung. (With the deep night~) The theme started from Taehyung’s story too, so our work portion’s about 5:5. It’s my first time working together with Taehyungㅡ I wanted to do so since a long time ago, and I’m happy we got the chance this time. I wanted to take a step back and let Taehyung’s emotions materialization be the center itself. This song doesn’t show all of Taehyung’s emotions, but I hope it would show as much as it can. Hope you can get a glimpse at Taehyung’s dawn.!
Thanks to KOXX’s SHAUN-hyungnim for awesome re-arrangement. Personally, Taehyung’s usually in charge of powerful parts in our group songs, but I hope he can do this kind of light songs often too. I think Taehyung’s emotions and mine intersect more than I thought.
Working on this song together makes me think, isn’t Taehyung the one with the lightest song and emotions in Bangtan? You did great Taehyung, thank you for singing it so well :)”

“A song that wouldn’t be done without Namjoonie-hyung~ I have always wanted to write about the dawn.. I like songs of this style, so I often listen and sing along to them, and even try writing them. I got so passionate about writing it that I asked Namjoonie-hyung for help, and he gave me exactly the kind of beats I wished for.
The beats Namjoonie-hyung gave me were so good that I wrote 6 melodies for it. I used the theme of the birds at dawn. The time before the sun rises when 4AM passes to 5AM, just me and the dawn birds (I just call them as “birds”) at an empty park, that bluish moment seems so short. I like that moment so much that I once went there for 5 days straight. I wrote the melodies based on Namjoonie-hyung’s beats there alone, I can’t write lyrics as good as Namjoonie-hyung but I worked hard to put in my emotions.
In the midst of the dark (serene) dawn, the hollow (drowsy) sound, the icy winter blow You close your eyes, spend endless nights with the sound fly The dawn birds cry, yearningly, ardently fly Listen to your voice, fill your voice, this dawn
It’s like I wrote the letter for the dawn birds (just “birds”). I couldn’t write the song perfectly by myself so I thought of giving up halfway, but thanks to Namjoonie-hyung, ‘4 O’clock’ was finished~~ Poet Kim Namjoon indeed~
I’ll work hard to present more songs to you in the future as well And all hail Vocal Monster👊🏻🤘🏻☺️
I’ll work hard to make and bring you more songs in the future☺️”
Kun’aquk is new to this whole ‘bringing humans out into space’ thing, but he feels like he know what he’s doing. He’s read the guides, and has gotten help from other companions aboard the small (in his mind, not in the humans. Apparently, they don’t have ships as big as the average Galopertaions) ship, only containing a quonton full of alien species.
Kun’aquk feels he knows what to expect, and how to deal with certain situations, like if a human goes missing or brings back a non-toxic Avregation as a ‘pet’. So, he braces himself, and heads down to the work station of the group of humans, referred to as the specialists.
He rounds the corner and faces the gravitational steel door, waiting for entry. Nothing happens. He presses one of his talons against the communication button and speaks through it in a gargled voice.
“This is Kun’aquk of Sector 318. I am hear for an observation course.” He clicks off and waits for entry again. This time the gravitational door opens and he steps through.
He is approached by a young human, and going by his observations, it is a female.
“Hey sorry man, couldn’t hear ya. Jackson over there was playing his music too loud. I’m Gabbie.” She sticks out her appendage and bares her teeth. At first, Kun’aquk feels threatened, and almost raises the gland beneath his digestive sack to show dominance, but remembers this is the humans way of being “friendly”. He looks down and the pale appendage and looks back up at her face questioningly. “Oh, sorry. I’m Gabbie of Sector 561, Terra.” She lets her appendage drop, but continues to bare her teeth in a “smile”. “Take a seat where ever you need to. Please refrain from staring, I know that is something you species likes to do, but with the gooey sack in the front of your head, and the four eyes, it kinda creeps us out. No offense.” Kun’aquk’s ear tufts turn a shade of pink, for confusion, but he remains silent. “Uhh, hmm. Jackson likes to play his music, I like to knit in my free time. Sam over there likes reading, so you’ll find him doing that, and Sara, the one up on the supportive beams, likes to sculpt things out of spare parts. Today is our day off, so not much is going to be happening, if you don’t mind. Annndd.., that should be all. I think. If you have a question, feel free to say it out loud, it’s not rude.” Kun’aquk nods, and his eyes follow Gabbie back to her seat before he takes out his tablet and clicks a few buttons, taking notes down.
It’s been a bit of time, an hour, as humans would call it. The room has a calm atmosphere, filled with music from Jackson, and clicks and clinks of metal from Sara as she sculpts. No one is talking, and everyone is minding their own business, when the song changed on the radio. It’s lyrics begin to fill the air.
There’s no need to feel down.
I said, young man, pick yourself off the ground.”
“Is that YMCA?” Sara questions from the beams. Sam puts down his book.
“Yeah I think so.” Kun’aquk put’s down in his notes, “Are familiar to certain musical tunes.”
Gabbie turns to Jackson. “Dude, turn it up!”
“You can. Stay there! And I’m sure you’ll find many ways to have. A. Good. Time.”
“Shush it’s coming up!” Sam whispered while standing up with the rest of the group.
“It’s fun to stay at the Y,” The group of humans throw up their arms to form a ‘Y’. “MCA!” Everyone continues to move their body to match the letters being spoken in the song. Kun’aquk looks around in confusion. To humans regularly move their bodies to certain songs? The song ends, and the humans turn back to their activities, like nothing happened.
Kun’aquk turns to his tablet and writes in his notes.
“Humans recognize certain sounds produced by any creature. Do not make any recognizable sounds, as the humans will move their bodies as a way of intimidation.”
I’m a little late but here’s my addition to the trend:
Aliens are super confused about the humans ability to make connections. Like, we can look at something that shows no resemblance to ourselves and say “same”. Or we have favourite movies and songs because they remind us slightly if a good memory, person, or experience. What if that trigger in our brain that goes off when we see something vaguely familiar just doesn’t happen with interglacial species?
Human: dude, look at this is so me!
Alien: that’s just a picture of a cat.
Human: but look at the cats face.
Human: I love this song! It makes me think of road trips.
Alien: this song is called “the man”, it doesn’t reference roads, cars, or trips.
Human: yeah but just listen to the tune, it has that road trip ~vibe~ ya know?
ok so i went to the listening session earlier and now im gonna try to type out everything i remember from each song. dont expect this to be too coherent as im still extremely overwhelmed from it all. im putting this under a read more bc spoilers obviously but yeah here we go!!!!!
ELIAS: What’s up, folks. Welcome back to the squad, as usual you look just as good. We’re actually out of ideas.
MIKAEL: We have some ideas from our audience.
ELIAS: They do?
MIKAEL: Yeah, it says they want us to syng.
ADAM: That’s not happening.
ELIAS: Yeah, that’s not happening. No singing, no singing.
ADAM: But what’s also important is that we’re out of ideas, so leave comments with suggestions. But singing isn’t happening.
ELIAS: But what we can do? What we can do instead is we can hum. Yeah, what we’ll do is that one of us has a phone and we’ll put in earphones and listen to the song and try to hum along with the song, and then the rest of us will -
ELIAS/YOUSEF: guess what song it is.
ADAM: Okay, I have a song for Yousef.
MUTASIM: Should we close our eyes?
ADAM: Close your eyes. Wait a bit.. Wait. Okay. Put in the earbuds, Yousef.
YOUSEF: Yeah, give them to me.
ADAM: This is one of my favorites.
ELIAS: Are you looking?
ELIAS: Did you look?
ELIAS: He tried to sneak a peak. Stop! Don’t try looking, man!
ADAM: You’re not allowed to guess now.
ELIAS: 50 Cent In da Club!!
ADAM: The artist is right, but a different song.
MUTTA: Is it Candy Shop?
THE BOYS: YEAAAAHHH!!
EVERYONE: [sings along to Candy Shop]
ELIAS: No singing, no singing.
YOUSEF: That was one point for Mutta and so now I’ve thought of a song for him.
ADAM: Close your mouth when you hum.
MIKAEL: Is it that one, “Baby, I like your style”… Yes, it is, it is! What -
ADAM: Controlla, Controlla!
MIKAEL: Is it Controlla?
ADAM: No, it’s One Dance.
ELIAS: No singing, no singing.
EVERYONE: [Just like dancing around to Panda by Desiigner and making sounds]
ELIAS: Okay guys, now - we can’t hum more, my mom and sister are back. Thanks for watching
ADAM: Leave a thumbs up!
ELIAS: See you!
*Song lyrics, Karpe Diem’s “Lett å være rebell i kjellerleiligheten din”
Niall: I think people were a little bit shocked by it, by the song and that. I don’t think so at all. I think that’s very Harry and I really enjoy it. I really like it. It’s a great song, I was listening to it earlier, actually, in the car. Um, yeah, it’s just very very Harry. And his SNL thing was brilliant. [laughing] it was very fun– that impression of Mick Jagger was genius.
DW: You’ve a lot to live up to there.
Niall: Ah, shut [laughing]. Yeah, so um, yeah! Just good times!
