but yeah i drew a thing

sabpauhec34  asked:

How did you start your art, what was your inspiration

Ohh that’s a bit long to explain :0

So I’ll put some pics to make it more dynamic :D

I started drawing around 11 years old, things like Sakura Card Captors, Pokemon or Sailor Moon (Yeah I still have all my drawings, I like to save everything I draw), and of course, I sucked at it.

At that time I really enjoyed drawing, but I didn’t drew very often, maybe around 10 times per month until I turned 14. When I was 14 I met a friend who liked animes, mangas and drew like me. The both of us agreed that making our original story would be fun so that was the moment where I started drawing more oftenly: OC’s, characters from my own story (well, a lot of stories tbh), practicing manga panels, a bit of buildings (lol now that i see those things i’m embarrased how much i sucked at it)

My artstyle changed a lot of times, since my style depended a lot of the current series I was watching at that time (That was my inspiration). In the middle of that year (Still 14, almost 15) my friend recommended me Fairy Tail.

I really felt comfortable with Hiro Mashima’s style but even if I wasn’t very good imitating his style I was pretty satisfied with my draws. The problem was my non-existent knowledges of anatomy and perspective. I never tried to drew with base lines (like circles for the head, and lines of proportion) until I was 17-18, I was such a dumb head TuT

And well, the end is pretty predictable: I stopped drawing OC’s and my own manga for doing fanarts for FT around 2 years ago (But I’m trying to return with that tbh!). And with a lot of practice (Sometimes I can draw for almost one day, literally) I reached my actual level .

Geez, what a difference a year makes! Especially if you’re drawing the same character nearly every day.

I still remember the first time I drew him and being so jazzed and proud about how he was designed, and thinking about how he took way too long to draw, haha. Luckily I’ve gotten faster at it, or else updates would take even longer than they do now :P

Happy Birthday, Fatal_Error :’)

And thanks to everyone for being here to celebrate it <3 I’ve got a little surprise planned, but it’d take a miracle to have it done before the end of today. I’ll do my best though ;)

And if you’re curious, the first image was a part of this, and the second image was from here!

Episode 10, the night before the GPF.

This has got to be just about the cheesiest thing I have ever drawn but these two deserve it. Also this was just supposed to be Viktor pouting, what happened >.<

Anyways yeah give me more vulnerable Viktor and a Yuuri that is very affectionate when they’re alone.

Felt like redesigning my gemsona, so here’s Geuda Pink Sapphire! She’s a sapphire who emerged too early from her kindergarten, so she’s far too soft and floaty. She can’t even make ice, only bubbles. Also, while she possesses Future Sight, she can only foresee the best possible outcome of any event. Rather than shatter her, I suppose Pink Diamond kept her around as a novelty…Until she realized she could use the faulty sapphire to motivate her doomed troops to keep fighting.

Geuda is rarely allowed to hear how events actually play out, however, so she remains flighty, upbeat, and relentlessly optimistic. She’s already foreseen that the rebels will come and apologize very soon, and she’s certain that everything is going to work out just fine.

keith doesnt understand big sandwich???

“The way Aloha, Scooby-Doo!’s script handles the first clash with the monsters is... interesting.”

Carl the Animator: “Why? Something wrong with it?”

Ted the Animator: “It just throws the monsters out randomly, right at the beginning! There’s no buildup, no tension… I mean, just compare it to the original Scooby-Doo episodes.”

Carl the Animator: “Oh c’mon, they were hardly screenwriting masterpieces themselves.”

Ted the Animator: “Well, yeah, sure… I’m not saying the structures were genius works of fine art or anything, but they worked. They were simple and cheesy, but understood how to build atmosphere and make things creepy.”

Carl the Animator: “True that… the astronaut skull/ghost/skost episode always unnerved me, even as I drew it.”

Ted the Animator: “…wait, did you just say ‘true that’?”

Carl the Animator: “No.”

Ted the Animator: “…anyway. Where were we?”

Carl the Animator: “Monsters. Scripts. Excitement!”

Ted the Animator: “Right. Those old shows needed to be tame enough to not give kids nightmares, but yet they still knew how to create a nice tension to the story. Proper pacing, an ominous tone, and a creepy buildup are what make y-

Carl the Animator:OOH! Like the second Wallace and Gromit with the robot pants! It super freaked me out as a kid.”

Ted the Animator: “They’re trousers, thank you very much, but that’s actually a great example.”

Carl the Animator: “You know it.”

Ted the Animator: “The antagonist is a freakin’ penguin, but there’s always this captivating sense of forebode as the story builds, and as the audience uncovers the mystery. It never plays its hand too early.”

Carl the Animator: “Well said, Ted–… oh, that rhymed.”

Ted the Animator: “Thanks.”

Carl the Animator: “So… compared to all that, how does Aloha, Scooby-Doo! do the big monster reveal?”

Ted the Animator: “A bunch of characters that we barely know surf a bit, complain… and then the monsters all run at them 3 minutes 17 seconds into the movie.

Carl the Animator: “…oh.”

Ted the Animator: “Yeah.”

Carl the Animator: “Well, then. Great, I was in the middle of animating that scene and hopin’ it was gonna be cool, but I guess not.”

Ted the Animator: “Sorry to burst your proverbial bubble.”

Carl the Animator: “Sheesh. After that, I’m not even gonna bother drawing in the mouth when it jumps at the camera.”

Ted the Animator: “That’s… that’s an odd stand to take, but y’know what? I support you for taking it.”

Carl the Animator: “Thank you, Ted… if we don’t fight for artistic quality in cheap direct-to-DVD kids movies, who will?

WELL, so much for “not drawing before practicals”. I ended up getting bored trying to prepare cuz you just can’t prepare for those things…

SO YEAH HAVE SOME BLIND SPOTS GOODNESS FROM YOURS TRULY. It feels like FOREVER since I drew digitally, so if it’s sloppy, forgive me. It was supposed to be a quick thing :)

Ok ok ok… So here are two Oikawa + “Swedish” outfits. (I just picked two guys at random from my school year catalogue and drew their outfits) that anon requested. I really don’t know what is fashionable here… So I just did this instead, I hope it’s okay! One thing I noticed was that almost all guys are wearing blue jeans that’re cuffed + a random long sleeved shirt…. Yeah!

Pic I worked on thanks to some inspiration from a panel in a comic I read of Sequoia getting a little bigger than she’s used to. Perhaps someone spiked her drink?

Said panel can be found here

Art style was really cute so I decided to draw the same thing but with Sequoia instead. Traced the form of the panel but drew/shaded everything else. I definitely did not draw the city. Like holy shit that would have taken forever.

But yeah, just a fun little side project I always wanted to do. Not 100% my own thing but it was neat learning how simple some forms can be to draw.
