I'm a feminist :) men don't need an national holiday.
Then you’re not a feminist.
You’re right, men don’t need a national day dedicated to them because they should be appreciated everyday, like I assume you think women should be too?
Don’t call yourself a feminist if you don’t believe in equality, call yourself a
misandrist if you think men are below women.
And before you hit me with that “you’re not a woman you don’t know what it’s like” yeah I’m a 22 year old chick living in London so I think I have a pretty good idea of what it’s like to be a woman.
Instead of complaining about men while you live in a free country maybe you can use your energy to help people (women if you want) in other countries who can’t even leave the house without the threat of being killed - that is true feminism, standing up for equality where it doesn’t exist, not complaining about things that we take for granted because you don’t like it.
World: happy women’s day, let’s talk about women and their accomplishments as well as the issues they face on a daily basis.
Men: how sexist. Why isn’t there a man’s day.
World: there is…
Men: that’s nonsense.
World: women have problems like…
Men: but what about us? What about our problems? What about Male victims of abuse? What about the fact that we are treated like ATMs and that we have to pay for alimony….?
World: your problems are valid. It would be better for you to start your own discussion and stop trying to derail women’s problems.
Men: That’s sexist. You’re a misandrist. You don’t care about us. You just want to use us.
On international men’s day,
Woman: hey guys, I’m here to talk about your problems since it’s international men’s day. Let’s talk about it.
Men: fuck off you feminazi/ get your tits out/ go back to making a sandwich/ we don’t give a shit about social issues/ male violence doesn’t exist/ the patriarchy doesn’t exist/ there’s no such thing as toxic masculinity….
you know what’s really genuinely unsettling? the degree to which men fucking do not want to sympathize with/be interested in women.
male audiences will happily watch a dozen superhero shows, but then something like Agent Carter or Supergirl turn up and they’re panned from the first trailer and have to struggle for ratings. male audiences will watch countless installments of a franchise as long as it’s about men doing man things but the second a character like Rey or Furiosa or god forbid four entire female Ghostbusters steps up and takes a position of prominence it’s “pandering sjw bullshit”.
it’s not pandering. men just aggressively don’t want to have to be invested in a woman’s narrative and it’s really gross.
I’m still shook, even now at 5am on a Thursday, over what I witnessed a few days ago in the Barnes & Noble Starbucks. Absolutely shook.
Two grown-ass men, obviously friends but dressed like they were in two different high school cliques, were arguing, passionately about who Gerard Way was. The one wearing a Green Lantern shirt and thick-rimmed hipster glasses said that Gerard Way is the lead singer of My Chemical Romance. The other guy was wearing what I wore during my emo phase in middle school, mostly black with a skinny red tie and a grey vest, was arguing that Gerard Way was a comic book writer.
Then a third person comes up, obviously another friend as she put down a tray of drinks for the three of them, looking like she could’ve been a Kappa Nu with Elle Woods, and asks “What dumb thing are you two arguing about now?”
The two men reply. Elle Woods’ sorority sister says “They’re the same damn person, you idiots. He does both things.”
Absolutely shook. I feel like I witnessed the utopia suggested by the end of High School Musical where everyone from all the different cliques are friends and Wildcats or some shit…
All of a sudden, out of the middle of the trees in front of us, a thin, high, trembling
voice struck up the well-known air and words:
“Fifteen men on the Dead Man’s Chest
Yo-ho-ho, and a bottle of rum!”
I never have seen men more dreadfully affected than the pirates. The color went from their six faces like enchantment; some leaped to their feet, some clawed hold of others, Morgan groveled on the ground. “It’s Flint, by –!”
Listen I love the X-Men movies and all but just a thought: maybe you wouldn’t have such a hard time trying to shove everyone’s character development and backstories into one ensemble film (and subsequently cutting important characters out of the majority of said film) if you gave someone other than fucking Wolverine a solo movie.
i’ve been making a point to show my discomfort/disgust/exasperation when the men around me make comments about women that are vulgar or objectifying in any way, and slowly i’m feeling less and less guilty for being “that feminist bitch who wants to ban men from talking about women.” that’s exactly what i want. men can and should shut up about women forever because you have proven unfailingly that you are incapable of respecting us or seeing us as real, complex human beings who (believe it or not) were not brought into this world simply to delight you.
What do you think about the fact that a lot of men are being accused of sexual harassment of women and are admitting to their perverse behavior? Do you think this is behavior fitting of a warrior male?
Great question. Manly Men, Men who fight, are moral Men. As they train and fight they acquire the Moral Virtues, which include Humility, Integrity, Selflessness, Self Control and always showing Respect for people, places and things. A Man who sexually harasses Women shows a lack of Humility (Arrogance), blatant Selfishness, a lack of Self Control and most importantly, a brazen display of disrespect for Women. It’s a very bad thing to do on many levels. Fighters cherish the Moral Virtues and act accordingly. Sexual harassment of Women is totally unacceptable behavior for a Warrior. Thank you for asking that question. WarriorMale

After all the controversy sounding the trans community and some problematic representation, there has been some rewriting and editing done by Writer Nikole Beckwith and Writer/Director Gaby Dellal, The new release date should be May 2017 (but who knows if that will change again) and the new official name is “3 Generations” and some times still goes by “ About Ray “
