but this movie was fun to watch

What do you do when you get to the point where you hate everything you write?

Honestly? Stop writing.

Take a break from writing. Look at things that you love, that make you excited about life. I know that, for me, reading Tolkien’s works and watching movies with great stories like Midnight in Paris and Moulin Rouge always get me excited about writing.

Then look at yourself. Are you writing to be famous? To make other people happy? Do you feel like you should have made more progress than you have? What has changed from when you loved writing to know? Have you made your story too difficult or complicated that it feels like homework instead of fun?

I recommend reading over the old stuff that you wrote when you loved writing. Don’t allow yourself to judge what you’ve written, because we all learn as we write. For me, my middle school writing is awful, but I can see what I loved about writing in it.

Just take some time to yourself and let yourself feel that excitement that you used to feel about writing. If you have something more specific that you are struggling with about it, then feel free to message us again and we can give more specific advice. I’m sorry that you’re going through them. I’ve been there and it’s awful. But you CAN GET THROUGH IT FRIEND.

Hope this helps. Let us know if you have more questions.

I was watching a little fun facts video about Supergirl and I learned that Alex's mom and dad are played by the First Supergirl (movie) and the actor who played Clark Kent in Lois and Clark. The actor,Dean Cain was the first MOC to play Superman. He's of Japanese and European descent.I feel like Supergirl missed a chance to cast a Japanese-American actress as Alex.It would help get rid of the white feminist theme Supergirl has.

Yes Dean Cain was the first MoC to play Superman that’s why he’s my favorite!

And you are totally right they whitewashedd Alex we could have had a Japanese American Alex Danvers :(

25, 5'8 male, favorite thing to do is watch movies while eating good foods, I like to workout and dance , I listen to R&B, punk rock, and a lil rap, our date would consist of laughs and fun like bowling 🎳, Dave and busters, museums, then end off day with a movie or something either the theaters or Netflix your choice 😆

I actually love to eat and watch movies lol, I don’t know what Dave and busters is ngl but the museum sounds fun and I don’t mind bowling

I’m writing a romantic comedy so as research I’ve started reading as many rom com scripts as I can get my hands on and watching all the “classic” rom coms. Today I read four weddings and a funeral and now I’m watching sleepless in seattle. I checked out like 4 meg ryan movies and 5 romance scripts from the library.

The librarian thinks I’m very lonely.

PS. So far sleepless in seattle is zero fun and all dead wives. Also why the hate for people with allergies?

6 Movies I Could Watch Anytime

I was tagged by @themcuhasruinedme. Thanks, Sammie!!

1. The Secret Life of Walter Mitty. The story, cinematography, and beautiful scenery always makes my wanderlust kick in.

2. Sleepless in Seattle & You’ve Got Mail. They are undeniably connected in my mind so when I watch one, I have to watch the other. Nora Ephron movies are incredible. Plus the dynamic duo of Meg Ryan and Tom Hanks. <3

Do you know where I could watch let the bullets fly online? it looks like a fun movie and i'm trying too see some of Jiang Wen's movies (also any recs?)

You can actually find his entire filmography, or most of it, here, thanks to @senator-organa!

Devils on the Doorstep is excellent—one of his best, imo (but sad).

Black Snow is supposed to be good, but again, super sad.

Gone With the Bullets is apparently more trippy than his usual fare, but I honestly know nothing about the quality.

I keep meaning to watch LTBF myself—I got about 40 minutes into it and had to stop, but I enjoyed the hell out of what I did get to see. (Bonus Jiang Wu and Chow Yun-Fat!)

I’ve heard recs for Hibiscus Town and Red Sorghum, but again, haven’t gotten to watch them myself yet.

I hope that helps a bit!

Hii! Have you had the opportunity to see BatB yet? If so, what were your thoughts? 8D

Hi! I haven’t been able to see it yet and I probably won’t be able to see it for another week or so? Not sure? It isn’t high on my priorities but I have heard that it is cute and fun and pretty, so I’d like to watch it eventually.

I can safely say that whatever the outcome, I am not at all precious about the source material, and a lot of the critiques I’ve seen of the movie are perceivably valid, but I am probably the only person alive right now who….actually wasn’t offended by the adaptation existing in the first place? I don’t think the original BatB was perfect (and some of the animation…was…ehhh…*looks at Belle*…off) and if I wanted to hear good singing, I’d just listen to the Broadway cast recordings, haha. *shrugs*

If only I could be this passive of Frankenstein or Sherlock Holmes adaptations ha HA

Monday 8:27am
I woke up with you on my mind.
You called me babe last night —
my heart is still pounding.

Tuesday 10:53pm
Today I realized we won’t work.
What we are is hurting her.
And I think she matters more to me than you do.

Wednesday 11:52pm
I broke things off with you today.
She barely said a word.
I’ve never regretted anything more than this.

Thursday 4:03pm
I shouldn’t have sent that message.
You shouldn’t have been so okay with receiving it.

Friday 9:57pm
I almost messaged you today.
I didn’t.

Saturday 8:49pm
I’m walking around town in search of alcohol.
They say that liquor numbs the pain of having a broken heart.
I want to put that to the test.

Sunday 2:32am
I heard you texted a girl you’ve never spoken to before.
I wonder if it’s because you’re trying to replace me.
I can’t help but wish you weren’t.
I thought I was irreplaceable.
