Theo does something bad and the reader does something worse. Turns out Theo had done something worse.

I had had an awful fight with Theo. He had been out with a couple of friends and gotten too cozy with a stripper. He swore he didn’t do anything with her but I didn’t believe him.

Then I didn’t something even worse

I woke up in Isaac’s bed. Since the fight with Theo, I had been staying there. The first night I got here I was upset and hurt and wanted to make him feel just like I did. I did the most awful thing I have ever done. I didn’t even think about Isaac.

“Y/N IT’S FOR YOU” Isaac yelled from downstairs. I quickly got up and pulled on some of my sleeping shorts and my shirt that had been thrown off my body the night before. I ran down the stairs only to be met by the blue eyes of my soon to be ex-boyfriend. He looked like he hadn’t been sleeping and there was a bit of confusion behind his look.

“Hey” I whispered looking at the floor. I was not in the mood to even deal with him after what he had done. But now I had done something even worse. Theo and I were never broken up and what I did was the thing I swore I would never do, cheating. Theo stepped in and looked at me up and down. I’m almost sure he could smell Isaac on me.

“What happened here last night,” Theo asked giving Isaac the death stare but as soon and his stare fell on me his eyes turned soft and loving.

“I'm… I am so sorry” I answered. I knew he knew what had happened. He could see it as soon as he came in. he could smell it as soon as he came in. He could sense it on me. On Isaac. I didn’t know what to tell him. Nothing I could say would make him stay. But he didn’t yell. He didn’t get angry.
He just left.

“Okay…” he quietly said as he dropped my hand he had taken just seconds ago.

AU: Uni Shawn - Thoughtful

a/n: This imagine similar is to Playful because it has 4 different scenes regarding thoughtfulness in a relationship. Thank you to everyone who sent ideas in for this imagine. I was only able to use one since I already had the other three ideas written, but I really appreciate your suggestions and I may use them in the future, so thank you!

Your name: submit What is this?

On Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, you start your job at the front desk of the library at seven in the morning, which is a bit too early for your liking. This morning in particular is a rough morning for you. You were up until nearly three in the morning trying to finish a paper so having to be awake at 6:30 wasn’t at all enjoyable.

The library is nearly empty this early in the morning, which makes it even harder for you to be able to keep your eyes open. You’re doing some work on the library computer, and out of the corner of your eye, you notice someone enter the building. You don’t even look up from your computer, too tired to bother shifting your attention away from the screen in front of you. Only when the figure stops at the desk do you bother to look up.

You’re thoroughly surprised to see your boyfriend standing there. His hair is messy, like he didn’t bother to fix it before he left his dorm. Just the sight of him half asleep, but standing there in front of you brings a smile to your own tired face. “Morning y/n,” He says, when you don’t say anything right away. Despite the tiredness in his eyes and the fact that he isn’t used to waking up so early in the morning, he still is smiling brightly at you.

“Good morning baby, what are you doing?” You whisper to him leaning over the desk.

“I brought you coffee.” He responds, holding out the venti starbucks cup that you were too distracted to notice until just now.

Do you have any thoughts on the current 'left over' crew of Ryan, Jack, and Jeremy (& Matt because I love him)? Any FAHC headcanons for their particularly biting, competitive, yet kind dynamic?

So Geoff’s got some business outside Los Santos, no more than a couple of weeks worth but it really can’t be avoided any longer. He’s taking Gavin, wants him to work a little networking magic, and for muscle they’ve got Michael - if Geoff’s taking half the crew with him he might as well make it the pair most likely to cause a ruckus when left to their own devices. Between Jack and Lindsay those left behind couldn’t be in better hands, and with Ryan and Jeremy to throw their weight around and the whole of the support crew in action it didn’t even cross Geoff’s mind that there would be any problems. Honestly, what’s the worst that could happen?

The plan was to kind of lay low, prepare, resupply, tie up loose ends and more or less maintain until the rest of the crew returned. This was a good plan, sensible, except for the fact the fact that certain members of the FAHC find it wildly impossible to lay low. Members who walk around in garish Hawaiian shirts, or unmistakable rubber skulls, or the overwhelmingly nauseating combination of purple and orange, for example.

  • Jack, Ryan and Jeremy take about two days of calm before they start poking at hornet’s nests, not quite ready to flat out ignore Geoff’s requests and pick up a big job themselves but perfectly willing to more or less dare anyone else to come after them, to start something just to keep them entertained.
  • There is an at first unspoken, later explicitly sworn to agreement that no matter what was happening, any time Geoff called to check in they all said it was fine. Great in fact, the absolute best, no need to rush home, no need to come home at all. Everything’s fine, no that’s absolutely not the sound of screaming, must be on your end boss.
  • Jack and Ryan are the best of friends right up until the moment that they hate each other’s guts and want nothing more than to cause each other suffering. Jack has truely mastered the art of antagonising Ryan, can drive him right into true rage; snappish and rude and so far from the clinically methodical temper of the Vagabond, though she does her best to confine her needling to moments when they’re not working. In return Ryan can press Jack’s every button and has no qualms about doing it right in the middle of job, crankily ignoring Jack’s suggestions even to his own detriment purely out of spite, leaving Jack shouting increasingly panicked commands over the comms while Ryan intentionally picks out a longer, more dangerous path; the king of cutting off his nose to spite his face.
  • Jeremy brings home a dog. It’s hardly the first animal he’s brought back to the penthouse, hell Gavin smuggle’s cats in all the time, but it is the first time he’s done it when there was no one around to stop him. The dog’s a menace, big and dumb and entirely untrained but between Jack, Ryan and Jeremy no one’s got the heart to get rid of it. Three of the most dangerous people in the city spend half a week rushing around trying to accommodate the every need of a giant mutt, and another half hopelessly moping when the support crew steps in and whisks the dog off to find a more suitable home.
  • In the absence of any large-scale jobs to manage they resort to more base forms of entertainment. There are car races and boat races and jet races, there are dares and bets and odd experiments. There’s a poker tournament that had to be called off when the rampant cheating and angry threats got a bit too real, and an entire incident of public indecency that everyone swears to never speak of again.
  • While it’s normally a job for one or two members of support, when the usual weapon resupply rolls around and nothing else is happening the entire crew decides to go together like a sick parody of a family excursion. They more or less traumatise the arms dealer while collecting all the usual bits and pieces, then a laughing Jack promises everyone one special toy for good behaviour; most go for new guns or special bullets but Ryan picks out a pair of wickedly curved knives, Jeremy clutches an enormous grenade launcher, Matt find’s a ridiculously impractical axe, Trevor’s got some terrifying looking metal trap and Jack and Lindsay buy matching cat-printed knuckle dusters.
  • Bored without the other Lads to play with Jeremy takes Matt and Trevor out on a job with him, a bit of simple information extraction; catch a guy, knock him about, don’t even have to kill him afterwards so long as he sings. It couldn’t have been easier. It does not go well. Trevor disappears almost as soon as they begin, peeling off into the darkness of the warehouse so quietly Jeremy’s talking to himself for a solid minute before Matt points it out. A shakey start indeed, and things don’t improve; unlike doubling down on the bad cop act with Michael, or even bouncing terror around with Gavin, trying to conduct an interrogation with Matt as his backup is more a comedy of errors than anything else. While he does eventually talk, their victim spends far more time laughing in disbelief than he does actually fearing them, though in the end he pays for it. When Jeremy turns his back to sort out Matt almost chopping his own hand off with the damn axe he’d insisted on bringing along Trevor slinks back out and slits the man’s throat, messy and unnecessary, with far too much quiet self-satisfaction to be anything but entirely unsettling.
  • By the time Geoff, Michael and Gavin roll back into town its to find the FAHC engaged in an all out war against a neighbouring gang. To the home-team’s defence, the gang had already been on the Fake’s shit list, and after catching wind that they’d been torturing civilians and peddling to kids what else could they do really? The fact that the Fake’s discovered all the awful ins and outs only after invading the other crew’s territory was circumstantial at best.

I hope I'm reading your profile right, if not please ignore this!! But friendship headcanons for Kyoutani, Terushima and Ushijima! I apologize if I read your description wrong >.<

  1. Will easily let his guard down around you. He deeply appreciates the friendship you both share and how you don’t judge him by his appearance. As a thank you, he’s willing to lower his dominant and rough demeanor to show you that he trusts you.
  2. I said for a few characters that they’d beat the shit out of anyone that would upset you, but Kyotani would actually literally beat the shit out of anyone that would upset you. The second he sees you crying, he becomes uncontrollable and his rage takes over. It isn’t until you’re begging him to stop when he’ll actually stop. Sometimes he gets into really big trouble….
  3. He has little ways of showing you how much he enjoys your company. When it’s lunch time, sometimes he’ll buy you a drink from the machine, he’ll stay and study with you, or he asks you to watch his games.
  4. It is very very important to him that you watch his games; he calms down knowing that you’re in the audience. Even if you aren’t paying attention and have to study during the game, as long as you’re there, he’s ok.
  5. You’re the only one allowed to hug him. He blushes every time and you tease him when he tries to pry you off.
  6. He often hand makes his gifts and birthday cards. He spends all night making sure they’re perfect and he uses all of your favorite colors.
  7. In the winter, he wears the scarf you gave him every single day.
  8. You gave him a keychain with a dog on it that resembled him and he pets it for good luck before every game.
  9. Scolds you harshly when you stay up too late studying, when you’re sick, or when you forget something, but you know he means well.
  10. Tries to watch what he says around you because his biggest fear is that he’ll say something that will make you upset and you’ll leave.
  11. Always asks you to wash his uniform because he doesn’t know how to do laundry yet.

  1. Makes you his wingperson whenever there’s a cute manager to flirt with.
  2. He gives you one knuckle sandwich every day.
  3. Although he’s really chill and aloof with his piercings, he was a baby the minute he stepped into the piercing parlor. He made you hold his hand throughout the whole process. He even convinced you to get one, too, but you compromised and now you have your ears pierced.
  4. He’s in the process of designing and planning out your future friendship tattoos. It started out as a joke, but now he’s really serious about it. He won’t get it until the both of you are comfortable and satisfied with the design for at least a year.
  5. He gets extremely worried about you when you don’t get enough sleep the day before your exam or when you get sick. After school, he’ll walk you home and stays with you until you fall asleep so he knows you’re getting your rest.
  6. He’s almost too comfortable around you and doesn’t mind changing in front of you. One time you were so stunned when he took off his shirt that he shoved his armpit in your face. Now, when you turn around so he can change, he’ll pretend he’s done and call your name so you’ll look at him, but then it’s just him rubbing his nipples.
  7. He’s a very rough and touchy friend; he’ll shake your shoulders, slap your back, poke your sides, squish your cheeks, you name it.
  8. He takes his after school naps on your couch before he heads home.
  9. Likes to take pictures of you and post them on Instagram every chance he gets. He’s one of those people that either posts a really meaningful message or just puts the poop emoji.
  10. He takes your birthday very seriously and always throws a big party, even if you insist on not having one. He wants to celebrate the day the heavens blessed him with his best friend, as he would word it in his speech.
  11. Casually spanks your butt in the hallway.
  12. Is your biggest fan and will always support you in anything you want to do no matter what.

  1. He makes you run and work out with him every day because he likes having a work out buddy. Because of him, you’re in like the best shape of your life.
  2. Always makes you eat with him because he feels like you aren’t eating your daily servings of vegetables.
  3. Cherishes anything that you give him, from a special gift to any normal object. He wears the hat and gloves set you gave him every single day in the winter. Every time you hand him a pen to borrow, he takes extra care of it so he doesn’t lose it or forget to give it back to you.
  4. He often takes naps after school at your place, so he has a designated section in your closet for his napping clothes and blankets.
  5. Finds it charming when you borrow his sweaters and you’re drowning in how much larger it is than you.
  6. Flicks your forehead when you forget your homework or get sick, and then doesn’t do anything about it lol. That’s what you get for being irresponsible.
  7. He’s a great listener and will evaluate any decisions that you’re hesitant on. He doesn’t sugar coat anything because he’s watching out for you and doesn’t want you to regret anything in the long run.
  8. His mom always asks if you two will ever get married.
  9. He saves his cheat days for the weekends when you two go out to eat.
  10. Always offers to carry your backpack when he walks you home.
  11. He protects you from Tendou when he gets a little too close or comfortable around you.
  12. You’re the only one allowed to hug him and it’s only once a year on your birthday. He’ll make exceptions if you’re really upset and crying.
In An Instant

Summary: A romantic comedy about what happens when love literally falls through your window.

Characters: Bucky Barnes x Reader, Ash (aka me), Steve Rogers, Others I can’t remember right now

Warnings: Language, general gross cuteness, some angst, bad writing, bad storylines, possible cheating, but mostly major fluff and feels

A/N: I’m excited guys. This should be a fun series. I will only be taking 25 tags on this series. Sorry, it just gets to crazy with a bunch of tags. I’ll try to make a masterpage with the tag list count. Let me know what you think!     xoxo - Ash

It wasn’t an unusual sound, just an unordinary feeling, that sent you downstairs to investigate.

The wooden staircase creaked beneath your feet, your hand gliding silently down the glossy banister. Three or four steps from the bottom, you spot the curtain blowing in the breeze; the dining room window was open.

How do you think Chuuya & Dazai would react to finding out that their s/o frequently goes to dance classes? (I'm absolutely in love with your blog by the way♡ You also seem like a really fun person to hang out with aha~)

Thank you! I’m glad you enjoy the blog and that you think my personality’s okay, to boot! Will the compliments ever end

Nakahara Chuuya

  • The second that Chuuya learns you dance, he immediately sweeps you into his arms and maneuvers you in a complicated ballroom dance.  It’s not exactly the most graceful dance you’ve ever pulled off-you’ve probably never done it, after all- but Chuuya’s a surprisingly patient leader, and even though you’re struggling to keep up, the smile spreading across his face shows that he’s having the time of his life. He had more extra time on his hands a few years ago, Chuuya explains, and took up learning to dance. (It was to impress a girl he wanted to sleep with. He doesn’t mention that part.)
  • Aside from a handful of waltzes, Chuuya’s relatively clueless about dancing. He’s eager to learn, though; dance has always been attractive to him, especially so when it’s something that you enjoy. No matter what type you’re into, Chuuya’s intent on you teaching him.
  • Whenever you’re guiding Chuuya through a dance, his hands always end up wandering. He doesn’t mean to (well, most of the time), but when his hands are already lingering on your skin, he can’t help but start rubbing tiny circles, fingers migrating to places almost sensitive. More than once, a dance session has morphed into an entirely different kind of dance, finding you two naked and breathless on the floor. Although these tangents are tempting, if you want Chuuya to actually pick up any dances, you’ll have to enforce a strict no-hands-below-the-belt policy.
  • While Chuuya prefers you as his tutor, if you ask, he’ll attend a few of your classes with you. Although he’s a bit sour that everything has to be kept strictly PG in a group setting, he does enjoy seeing how your attitude and mannerisms shift while you’re dancing in a crowd. And, of course, if any dances require physical contact, Chuuya ensures his hands circle your waist rather than some stranger’s, which is a definite plus.
  • Despite Chuuya’s assurance that aside from a few lessons a long time ago, he’s never been instructed in dance, he’s freakishly skilled. You only have to show him the steps of a dance once or twice before he’s effortlessly keeping up with you once the music starts. Chuuya’s truly cut out for dance, and if you’re not careful, he’ll be better than you before you know it.
  • Though he enjoys any dance with you, ballroom dancing remains number one on Chuuya’s list. Often, Chuuya drags you along to any and all extravagant Port Mafia celebrations, just to show off the waltzes you two have perfected. Of course, elaborate galas aren’t the only place Chuuya sweeps you into a dance; every spot in his home ranging from the kitchen to the living room has been converted into an impromptu ballroom at one point or another. He delights in the intimacy of waltzes, but his favorite part is guiding you through turns. The way your dress fans out and spins with you is enough to send a shiver down his spine (and you will be wearing a dress, preferably one with a long, sinuous train. Chuuya insists. If you don’t have a suitably sweeping gown, he’ll buy one.)

Dazai Osamu

  • When you tell Dazai you’ve been going to dance classes, the first words to tumble out of his mouth are predictably inappropriate: “Ohhhh,” he squeals, a gleam lighting up his eyes, “are they pole dancing classes?” he asks, a bit too eagerly. If they are, he immediately grins, requesting a demonstration of what you’ve learned. If they’re not, he does his best not to visibly deflate at the somewhat-disappointing truth. As you explain the dances, however, showing him the steps, he cheers up in almost no time. Anything that makes you happy is enough to bring a smile to his face.
  • As with most things you enjoy, Dazai pounces on the opportunity to tease you. He pretends that he, too, knows how to dance, spinning around in movements that can only be classified as abysmal whenever you ask him to show off his skills. Whenever you’re trying to practice, he ambushes you, grabbing your hands and leading you in an enthusiastic, albeit disjointed, dance around his living room. More than once, the affair has produced a pulled muscle or sprained ankle. The smile cracking Dazai’s face before an accident, though, makes the minor injuries worth it (as long as he’s the one getting hurt).
  • Almost every weekend, Dazai drags you to an arcade for the sole purpose of wreaking havoc on the Dance Dance Revolution machine. Even though he may not have any coordinated couple-movements down, he slays when it comes to video games, and if you want to defeat him, you’re going to have to work for it. No matter how much you think you just killed the last round, somehow, Dazai always ends up absolutely smashing you. Of course, it doesn’t help that he’s not afraid to cheat when you’re cutting it close. Dazai’s not above shoving you off the dance pad if you’re hot on his tail. He apologizes after, of course, but is he really sorry? Not even a little. Dance Dance Revolution is serious business.
  • When Dazai actually tries to dance with you, he’s nothing short of amazing. The problem is, he rarely devotes all of his attention to anything other than teasing you. Whenever you guide him through the steps you’ve just learned, Dazai ends up at least half a beat behind, or he steps on your toes enough that you just throw in the towel. He offers to kiss your aching feet better, but most of the time, he ends up kissing upwards instead, leading smoothly into a steamy oral session. While he may not be born to be a dancer, he sure is good at making up for it in other ways.
  • While he brushes off most couple dances, Dazai does enjoy modern choreography. If you’re taught any of the routines from a recent music video or dance group, he gladly devotes some effort to learning those with you. Whenever you’re at a party together, Dazai loves to show off how skilled the two of you are at pop music numbers.
Kuro/Mahiru: one step at a time

I’ve been sick during the past week and sort of wrote this to distract myself a little. Is not my best and if I have to be honest, I’m quite not satisfied with it but it helped me to get my mind off other stuff so.. it was worth it in the end.

I just wanted to write some little thoughts focused on how Kuro’s life changed after he met Mahiru so, there’s some hints of KuroMahi between the lines (I just couldn’t help myself okay!) I’m not sure if it counts as an AU, but I did not mention anything about him being a vampire so  *coughs*

Thanks a bunch @canthydefromthelicht, @crossingworld, @tina-nightray@sleepyshirota & @just-servamp-trash for the support. You all motivated me to actually finish this!! Hope you enjoy it!~

[Somebody Else] - Chpt 1

Jason x Sofia

Summary: [Alicia asks Jason to investigate one of Peter’s friends, only for Jason to find out the man he’s investigating is in a relationship with his ex-girlfriend]

A/N: I really love Jason Crouse, and thought of this idea and just had to write! Thanks to the peeps who encouraged me <3  My titles are based off of songs btw :3

“His name is Alex Godard, he runs in Peter’s circle of people”

Jason raised his brow, staring at the photo in his hands. “I thought you were through helping out your husband?” He picked up his drink, taking a long sip. Even though he and Alicia have been screwing around for the past couple of months, he didn’t feel comfortable being too involved in her personal life. Especially when that involvement included her husband.

“I owe Eli one last favor. This guy is contributing a lot of funds into Peter’s campaign. Eli believes he wants to buy some influence by helping Peter out”

“He looks too young to be involved in something this big”

“He took over his father’s company after he passed away eight years ago. I’m sure he’s learnt the ropes of what it takes to be in this business”

Jason tapped his foot nervously against the stool. While he didn’t necessarily feel comfortable about this, Alicia can be very convincing when she wants to. “Where do they think the money came from?”

I'm comin' home (AJ Styles x Reader)

(First Fic on tumblr! I know I’m not the best writer in the world but I can’t get better if I don’t keep writing and practicing! I’ve read through it twice and didn’t see any grammar/spelling errors but if I notice one later I’ll fix it!)
Characters: AJ Styles, you, a little Dean Ambrose, mention of Nikki Bella
Warnings: Angst, possible cheating
Very loosely (like you can see it if you close your left eye and close your right eye) based on the song Hold On by the Scott Brothers And a special shoutout to one of my favorite blogs llowkeys (my mobile won’t let me tag) for being my go to AJ source for all things from sassy answer to anons to very sexy pictures of the one and only AJ. You helped inspire this so I hope you like it.

It’s been four days. Four days since I’ve talked to AJ. Its not for lack of trying on my part either. I’ve tried calling, face-timing, and texting him and he never responds. He’s never done this before. Normally he calls me all the time when he’s on the road. During the day he’d send me pictures of him out and about with his coworkers/friends. And on nights when I really missed him I could convince him to FaceTime me so I could see his smiling face. But now I can’t get him to talk to me.
I tried to think back to the last time we talked. About 5 days ago he called me from a town in Ohio where Smackdown was being taped. He said he was getting ready for bed and wanted to say goodnight to me. We talked for an hour before hanging up. I don’t think any negative things were sad. He was pretty happy with how Smackdown turned out. I, of course, had watched and told him how proud I was of him. We talked about how he would be home in 5 days, which meant he would be home today. I couldn’t think of anything that would make him mad at me. Maybe I said something and he misunderstood me. I guess I’ll find out when he comes home and I’ll explain everything.
AJ would be home around 6 tonight. I had everything planned out on how to figure out why he stopped responding to me. I’d cook his favorite meal and we’d talk over dinner. Once noon rolled around I decided to head to the store and pick up the ingredients for dinner. I get dressed and head out. I walk around the grocery store grabbing anything I’ll need for tonight. I check over my shopping and see the next item on the list is seasonings. I push the cart to the aisle and look for the seasons I need. Then I hear someone talking. Normally I would never listen in on a strangers conversation but I could have sworn they said AJ’s name. We lived in a somewhat small town, as a way to distance ourselves from the spotlight AJ lives in when he’s on the road. It was normal for people to gossip especially about the town celebrity. I looked around and saw two woman I didn’t know at the other end of the aisle looking away from me. “I’m telling you Helen it’s true. My son Jimmy told me. He has one of those wrestling fan sites and someone posted a picture of AJ Styles with some girl in his lap at a bar. And it was for sure not his fiancée.” “I don’t know Nancy. I’ve run into him a few times. He seems like such a nice guy. And I’ve seen him and (Y/N), I think that’s his fiancées name, out on dates a few times when William and I go out. They seem pretty happy and pretty in love.” “Let’s see if I can find the site my son showed me.” The first woman, Nancy, said pulling our her phone. “Well it’s not the same website but there’s quite a few links on here. Poor (Y/N). I wonder if she knows yet.” Both women shrug and start up on a new topic while walking father from me and to a new aisle. I get my phone from my purse and google ‘AJ Styles cheating’. AJ and I wanted to keep our relationship semi private. I didn’t want to the spotlight but he felt like it was important that people know we were together. He figured it may help keep gold digger girls off him. But I guess that wasn’t working. Google finally pops up results and I don’t believe my eyes. At least seven websites are reporting on AJ with different woman. I open a few of the links and almost cry right there in the grocery store. Dozens of pictures of AJ are posted. Each one he has a beer in one hand and a different girl near him or on his lap. This must be some joke. I look through the other websites and it’s all the same. I close my phone and walk out of the store without the items I was shopping for. I was in no mood to cook for him tonight. Tonight would be him explaining to me what the hell is going on. Once I get home I start crying. Why would AJ cheat on me? Was he getting tired of me? Was this his way of calling off our wedding that was only 3 months away? After a few minutes of tears and questioning everything I decided to find out some truth. I had only been to live shows a few times but while I was there some of the super stars gave me their numbers in case of emergency and I couldn’t get a hold of AJ. I look through my contacts and just decide to try Dean Ambrose. He and AJ didn’t get along well but he was always nice to me and I imagine he was also at bars and would tell me the truth. He doesn’t seem like the kinda guy to sugar coat things. Right as I’m about to hit the call button a text from AJ finally appears. “Sorry babe can’t make it home this week. Something came up we all have to stay. Try to be home next week. - AJ” What? He wasn’t coming home at all? We haven’t seen each other in a month or talked in almost a week and the only thing he has to stay is Sorry. He didn’t say he missed me or that he loved me? Once I read the message again to make sure I’m reading it correctly I call Dean. It rings three times then he answers. “This is Dean.” “Hey Dean. This is (Y/N) (Y/L/N). AJ’s fiancée. Have you seen AJ lately? He hasn’t been answer my calls and I’m worried about him.” I decide not to jump straight to the is my fiancé cheating on me line. “I’ve seen him a few times since the show. Seems like he’s fine. Hasn’t been making that stupid face he makes when he’s pissed.” “Okay. Now, um, this is really awkward but to ask but I figured you out of all people would give me a straight answer. I’ve seen the pictures on social media of AJ at bars with other women. Are those real? Is that really happening?” There’s a silence on the other end of the line. That can’t be good. It means he is trying to find the right way to tell me AJ is cheating. “Yeah they are. I’m sorry (Y/N). After the first time it happened we figured he was drunk and not thinking straight. Nothing happened the girl just danced on him and sat with him. When it happened again the next time Nikki Bella asked him what he was doing since he has a fiancée and all. He just snapped at her and told her to mind her own damn business. She thought about telling you but then realized no one but AJ knew your number.” With every word he said my world came crashing down. AJ was cheating on me. “So he starting talking girls back to his room?” “He took them somewhere.” “Is it true that something came up and you all have to stay for another week? He just sent me a text saying that.” “Yes that one is true. They scheduled wrong and our week off is in a week not this week. Listen I’ve gotta go but I’ll talk to AJ for you. I won’t tell him you know about the girls but I’ll tell him to actually call you since you’re worried about him.” “Okay. Thanks Dean you’ve been very helpful.” “No problem (Y/N). I hope things work out.” And with that the phone call is ended. For the next few days AJ still doesn’t call. Dean has started texting me updates on him though. He told AJ to call me and AJ said he would at some point but that hasn’t happened. Dean did say he hasn’t been hanging around any girls at the bars so that’s good I guess. I can’t believe the only contact I’m having with my fiancé is through a guy he can barely stand. During the rare moments I’m not thinking about AJ I’m thinking about our wedding. The wedding that might be called off. I had already bought a dress but I could sell it only. Same with the rings. The stone in my engagement ring was my grandmothers so I’ll take the stone back and him the rose gold setting back. I’ll see if I can take his silver band back to the jeweler where I bought it. Food could easily be canceled. Same with venue and hotel rooms among other odds and ends. I’d have to tell my family. That would be a mess. I’d have to move out of the house since it was his before we got together. I’d probably have to move back to home with my parents and find a job to save up money to rent an apartment. And here I thought I was living in a perfect fantasy world. Guess not. Today is a week later which means AJ should be home today. I don’t know if I’m ready. I’ve trying to mentally prepare myself for the last couple of nights. My phone started ringing while I was making my self some lunch. I knew who it was before I even looked at the caller ID. AJ had set his intro music has his ringtone on my phone. Everyone else was stuck with the generic ringtones preset on the phone. I take a deep breath before answer. “Hello.” “Hey Darlin’ I’m packing up now and I’ll be at the airport soon. So I’ll be home in about 3 hours. Is my girl gonna be waiting on me?” That’s what I normally did. I would go to the airport and wait for him to land and once I saw him I would run into his arms. But how could he be acting so casual? After everything that has happened. I take another breath and decide to call him out on it. “You’ve been cheating on me. And don’t lie either. I’ve seen the pictures and I’ve talking with Dean Ambrose. You didn’t talk to me for days and I have to find out you’ve been hanging around other women at bars from two strangers in the grocery store. And even when Dean told you I was worried and you to call me you didn’t. So tell me what the hell is going on? Is this your way of saying you want to call off the wedding and break up? Should I start packing my bags now and book a plane ticket to my parents?” By the end of this I’m crying. “Darlin’. Please don’t cry. I-I… It’s a lot to explain. I promise I don’t want to call off the wedding. I love you. Once I get home I’ll explain everything to you. Okay?” He sounded sincere. Like he was sorry. “I’ll be at the airport. It’s raining here and you should walk in the rain.” “Thank you Darlin’. I have a surprise for you. You’re gonna love it. I’ll see you soon. I love you.” “I love you too.” It’s such a knee jerk reaction I don’t have time to stop myself from saying it. But then again I do still love him. I start getting ready to head to the airport. After a shower, where I think about everything AJ said, I get dressed and do hair and makeup. Then I get to the airport and want by the baggage claim for AJ. Twenty minutes and a lot of games of phone solitaire later I hear people walking towards the area where I’m standing. I put my phone in my purse and look up. He’s one of the last to get to the claim area. I walk over to him and don’t say anything. He smiled a somewhat sad smile at me and waits for his suitcase to arrive. Once it does he grabs it and we wordlessly walk to the parking lot. “Do you want me to drive?” This is the first thing he says to me. “No. I couldn’t find the keys to the truck so I had to bring my car and you don’t like driving my car.” I say as we reach my car. He puts his bag in the backseat and we both get in. The drive is silent. Which is so unusual for us. Normally he’s telling me about his trip and at some point his hand will makes its way to mine and doesn’t let go until we are home. We reach home and head inside. AJ sets his suitcase in our room and comes back out to the living where I’m sitting on the couch waiting on his explanation. He sits in the chair across from me and sighs dragging his hand down his face. Something he does when he’s nervous or doesn’t want to talk about something. “I promise nothing happened with those girls. I didn’t sleep with any of them. I didn’t kiss them. Nothing happened. I only brought one back to my room and as soon I opened the door I thought of you and sent her away. I don’t know what got into me Darlin’. I guess I’m just worried about the wedding. I’m getting nervous. I don’t want what happened last time to happen again.” This would be AJ’s second marriage. The first ended in divorce. “But it won’t. I love you and would never cheat on you like she did. You are the only guy in the world for me. I care about you more then I care about myself.” I try my best to hold back the tears in my eyes but they slip anyway. AJ leans closer to me and wipes them away before sitting back straight. “I know that. And I was being stupid. And I am so sorry Darlin’. I promise it won’t happen again. These last two weeks I’ve been an idiot and I can’t believe I hurt my favorite girl for such a stupid reason. Can you forgive me?” “Hey can I be so sure it won’t happen again? There’s just a few months until the wedding and even after that things could happen.” “Come on the road with me. You’ve always said you want to travel and see new places. We would have to be more public with our relationship but you know I love you and you love me why not let people how much we love each other.” He moves from the chair to the couch and takes my hand in his. “Please forgive me Darlin’. I’ll do anything to prove how sorry I am.” I look down at our hands together. My tiny fingers laced with his bigger ones. Light reflecting off the stone in my ring. I look up to his face and I can see the sadness in his blue eyes. I take free hand and brush an out of place from his forehead and smile. “Okay. I’ll forgive you. And I’ll come on the road with you too.” His face breaks out into one of the biggest smiles I’ve ever seen and he kisses me for the first time in over a month. It’s simple, soft, and full of love. We pull apart and I lean into his chest and he wraps his arms around me. “Where’s my present? You said you bought me something?” He looks at me for a spilt second and laughs. “We just had a very touching heart-to-heart talk and now all you can think about is your present?” “Well if it’s from you then it’s bound to be an awesome present.” “It’s in my suitcase. I’ll go get it.” I lean up so he can get off the couch. He disappears to our bedroom and soon returns with a plain blue gift bag. He sits back down and pulls me on to his lap. “Here you go Darlin’.” He hands me the bag and I immediately reach my hand in. What I pull out is a t-shirt. One of his WWE merch t-shirts. A shirt that I probably have at least 3 more of in my dresser. I look at AJ for a moment confused and he takes the shirt and turns it around. On the back it says ‘AJ’s wife & Number 1 Fangirl’. I smile and giggle a little before setting the shirt aside. “I love it. I’ll wear it to every show. Make sure everyone knows who my man is.” “Damn right you’ll show them. If you start hanging around backstage I don’t want those idiots to think you’re free game. You’re mine.” “Yes I’m yours. Very happily yours.” I smile and kiss him again before he starts telling me all about his month on the road.

evil author day: oh my god i'm just imaging three-year-old anakin and eighteen-year-old obi-wan meeting again for the first time and it being so terribly emotional and they don't let go of each other for HOURS. how would everyone react? i can see it being super public bc there is no way little ani would waste even a second after feeling his Very Important Person nearby

So, someone else asked a pretty similar question, so I’m gonna put part I here and part II on theirs. Here’s what happens when Anakin almost finds his Very Important Person in a Very Public Place.

I'm applying to graduate programs in CS and I'm struck with a gigantic case of imposter syndrome. Also, the idea of moving to a whole new continent is terrifying :C Any advice/tips?

I am so sorry, I didn’t see your ask before now! :/

Impostor syndrome, my good friend. I know the feeling. Things I try to tell myself to make me feel better in these cases (assuming you are a regular student just as I was):

  • You passed your classes. If you were an impostor, how could you have done that? Maybe you even had good or very good grades in some of them. That means that you are a good student and definitely belong where you are! And even if you’re only a mediocre student, passing means you are good enough. You are good enough.
  • Know these people that seem to only have coding as a hobby and appear like they know everything? Yeah, those people. But consider the following:
  1. Getting a degree does not mean you have to spend extra time on things study-related. If you’re passing your exams, then you’re doing your degree. That’s all that is required.
  2. They seem to know everything? It’s probably because they only talk about their expertise. And why wouldn’t they? If you know something, there’s a lot to talk about that thing. But you have to remember that they cannot possibly be an expert in everything and it is very probable that they are completely clueless in things you know a lot about. They know a lot about algorithm design? I bet they know very little about software architecture design. Or AI.
  • Remember the guys that don’t seem to know everything. You know the ones, the regular people in your degree. You probably assume they know more than you, because they act all confident and don’t flaunt the gaps in their knowledge. They are the same as you!  You just can’t see that maybe they’re as insecure inside as you. It’s almost default to assume that men are better in compsci than women because that’s what we’re told over and over (if not outright), but in 95% of cases they aren’t. Remember that.
  • I’ve said this before, in another ask, but I will repeat it over and over because it is important (and sometimes I forget it as well): You don’t have to know everything. Compsci is such a vast field, you have to specialise. Knowing nothing about a certain topic does not mean you are a fraud, it means you specialised elsewhere. And having done a compsci degree, you will be able to learn the fundamentals of the topic even after you’ve left university.
  • You have your own areas of expertise. Think about which courses you took. Which topics cropped up more than once? That’s probably where you know more than your classmates. Trust me.

Now on the topic of leaving your continent. Phew. Yes, it’s scary. But think about all the new experiences you’ll have. The opportunities, for studying as well as personal growth. Meeting new people, learning about another culture! And especially if you’re going to a university, there will be plenty of people who can help you, people whose job it is to help you adjust in your new environment. People who are in the same situation you are in. You won’t be alone! :)

On the other hand, you have to think about whether you can really manage it. And by that I mean mostly the separation from your family and friends. I know I’d probably be like “whatever, there’s still the internet”, but many people get very homesick without their loved ones. Still, if you’re unsure about this, I’d say you should give it a try. You can always transfer to another university once you start a degree, you can always go back home. And there’s no shame in that! You learned something about yourself, you admitted that your way didn’t work and adjusted it. And that takes courages! So don’t be afraid of failing.

In conclusion: Impostor syndrome sucks, but you can get through it. And especially if you are asking yourself if you are an impostor, how can you be? If you were one, you’d definitely know, because you’d have had to cheat your way to where you are. And you didn’t.

Going abroad is scary, yes, but it also gives you a lot of opportunities. And even if you don’t make it, you tried and got a lot in return.

This got very long, but I hope it helped you. Feel free to send me another ask or message me, I’ll try to check more often for new messages. :)

“Is something happening between you and Grant?”

I almost choked on my coffee at the openness of the question. Candice looked at me with concern-filled eyes. Thoughts of all the missed dates and late nights waiting for him ran through my mind.

“ I mean, we aren’t in our best place right now. He’s been missing a lot of dinner dates which has lead to fights. Other times, he’s not coming home until the late hours of the night but he never tells me where’s he’s been.” Tears pricked their way around my eyes and I began to shake due to the painful memories. Candice and Danielle wrapped their arms around me, running their hands up and down my back in attempt to console me.

“Oh (Y/N), I’m sure everything is going to be fine. Grant loves you so much. If I knew you were going to get so upset, I wouldn’t have asked, it’s just Grant has been acting a little strange and we were concerned,” Candice stated still trying to comfort me.

“No, it’s fine. I’m just afraid that we’re falling apart and I don’t want to lose him,” I said, my voice still shaking from the present tears. Danielle rubbed her hand up and down my arm. “Well I guess I better get home, since Grant is actually there.” I picked up my purse and walked out of Candice’s apartment.

When I got back home, I noticed an unknown car parked in our driveway. I opened the door and took my shoes off, quietly closing the door behind me. The comfort of mine and Grant’s shared home filling me with instant relaxation.

Suddenly, I heard a high pitched squeal coming from upstairs. I walked upstairs to fulfill my curious mind. Standing outside of the bedroom door, I heard excessive moaning and panting. Tears began to collect around my eyes as I opened the door to confirm my suspicions. There he was, Grant was having sex with another girl in our bed. Neither of them noticing my presence, I walked into the closet and grabbed my suitcase. When I heard the moaning stop, I turned and looked towards the bed and made eye contact with the random girl.

“Grant, baby, who is that on the floor with a suitcase,” the girl said, causing Grant to stop his actions and look over. Grant quickly got off the girl and started putting his clothes on.

“Get out!” He shouted at the girl and pointed towards the door. He made his way over to me and started taking clothes out of my suitcase. Tears flowed freely from my eyes as I put the clothes back into my suitcase. Grant pulled my shoulders, forcing me to make eye contact with him. My puffy, red eyes matched similarly to his as he wrapped me in his embrace.

“I’m so sorry (Y/N), it was an accident.”

“Oh, so putting your penis into someone’s vagina is an accident? No, Grant, It’s not an accident! Why did you do it? Am I not good enough for you?” I shouted at his sobbing form, stuttering over several words. Grant looked at me with sympathetic eyes, and pulled me into his embrace again.

I yanked myself out of his tight embrace, beating his chest with my fists. He made an effort to wrap his arms around me again, tears rolling down his face. He ignored the punches that I was throwing into his rib cage. I sobbed harder as he tried to pull me closer, me pushing him away with all the strength left within me. I was too weak to let go. After giving up resisting, I let him engulf me into his arms. Tears continually fell from both of our eyes, mine soaking his chest.

“Why?” I let out softly after a while of silent crying between the two of us. He let out an exasperated sigh. “Why?” I repeated. I felt one of his warm tears fall onto my shoulder. He didn’t say anything, because he didn’t know why. I stood up, leaving him sitting on the bed.

“(Y/N), please don’t go. I-I love you,” Grant pleaded as tears fell from his eyes. I shook my head, whimpering at his soft and broken words. Without looking back, I shut the door and left.

After a while of driving around, I found myself back at Candice’s apartment. I parked my car and knocked on her door.

“(Y/N)! What happened?”

The once silenced tears began to speak again. I through my arms around Candice in a search for comfort. She lead me inside and sat me on her couch.

“(Y/N), tell me what happened.” Candice spoke in a soft tone. I attempted to calm myself down and I wiped away my tears. “G-Grant… Grant cheated on me. When I got back to our house today, I walked into our bedroom and I caught him there with some random girl.” Sobs rushed over my body once again.

Candice’s arms wrapped themselves around my body. “How could Grant do this,” Candice asked loudly, “(Y/N), he won’t get away with this. Just wait until I'm  at set in a couple of days and I’ll make sure I give Grant a piece of my mind.” Candice’s furious mini-speech made me let out a small laugh. “Well, before I bore you with the details of how your ex will regret what he has done, you must be exhausted. Go to my spare room and get some rest,” Candice said, noticing my yawning.

I was awaken in the middle of the night by shouting coming from the living room. I open the door to where there is a little crack so I can hear better.

“Please Candice, I’m begging. Just let me see (Y/N).” Grant. Why was he here? He has already caused enough distress.

“No Grant. You had one job and that was to be true. I know her and you’ll never find anyone as trusting or as kind. You’ve really messed up.”

I walked out of my room and down the small hallway making myself known. Grant looked over Candice’s shoulder and stared at me. His hair was disheveled, pieces sticking up all around his head. His eyes were not their usual bright green, in fact, they were red and puffy. His cheeks were still wet from his tears. At the sight of me, Grant’s tears started again. Candice turned to me, “(Y/N), go back to sleep. I’ll get rid of him.”

I pushed past Candice and made my way to Grant. “No, I feel like I should let him explain himself.” I looked at Grant. There was a moment of silence between us. “Well, start explaining,” I said crossing my arms.

“(Y/N), I’m so sorry about what I did. Even before I started missing our dates, we were fighting non-stop. I thought that I wasn’t making you happy anymore. I was so afraid that you were going to leave me. Look at where we are compared to where we started, I know I don’t deserve you (Y/N). Take me back, please?” Grant’s eyes were cloudy with tears.

“You get one more chance but if you pull a stunt like this again, we’re through.” Grant pulled you into a tight embrace and kissed you passionately.

“That’s all I’m asking for, love.”

Kiss the Puppy

This is my @wolfstarexchange gift for @huffledoge. Happy holidays CC! I hope you like it!

“Oh, come on, we’ve played Truth or Dare a million times already!” complained Dorcas.

Remus privately agreed. He was bored of the game, and of course truth telling games were never his favorites. He could sit it out, of course, but then he’d have to leave the common room or he’d get teased mercilessly, and the fire really was quite cozy. Although really, he just enjoyed spending time with his friends and housemates once in a while. A surprising amount of upper year Gryffindors had stayed for the holidays, nearly everyone was there, and naturally, they were bored.

“Let’s play Never Have I Ever,” suggested James.

“Oh no Potter,” said Lily, “we’re not playing that again. I did not enjoy dragging you and Black to the infirmary for alcohol poisoning last month.”

“Oh, lighten up Evans,” said Sirius. “That only happened because this arse here was using his best friend privileges to target me specifically. Of course I had to give as good as I got. He’s learned his lesson now.” He smirked. James hit him upside the head, starting a tussle.

“I have a game,” said Peter. “Hey!” he yelled at James and Sirius’s red faces. “I have a new game we can play! I learned it from my cousins over the summer.”

Sirius perked up. James pushed at him and got up. “Hey, Peter has a game for us,” he announced to the room at large. “Go on Pete, how does it go?”

“I-I have to get something first, then I’ll explain,” said Peter, darting up the stairs to the dorm.

A minute later, he was back with a familiar looking toy. It was the stuffed dog James had gotten Sirius for his birthday. Remus stared at it suspiciously. If he was not mistaken, he knew that game, and that game was a kissing game. He wanted to be a good sport and play, but he hoped he wouldn’t have to something that would count as cheating. He had a boyfriend, after all.

“Hey, that’s mine!” yelled Sirius indignantly. Then he realized he’d just admitted to owning a stuffed toy for no discernible reason. “Right, gather round,” he said, changing the subject. Several people moved to sit closer.

“Actually, um, I need everyone to sit in a circle on the rug,” said Peter.

Yep, thought Remus, it’s that game. He sat down between Dorcas and a seventh year girl he thought was named Susan. Girls, girls were safe. He didn’t even like girls.

Once the circle was formed, Peter explained the stuffed dog would be passed around the circle, and everyone would have to kiss it on a different body part, no repeats.

“Of course no repeats,” huffed Lily. “Wouldn’t want to catch your germs.”

“Aren’t you a bit old for the cootie phase, Evans?” Sirius teased.

“Children!” said James. “Let’s play.” He motioned to Peter, who remained standing, and Peter threw the toy towards him. James caught it and kissed it loudly on its pink nose. He passed the toy to Sirius, who was sitting on his right.

Sirius followed James’s example of making a loud ‘mwah’ sound with his kiss, but he kissed to toy on its mouth. Remus rolled his eyes. Trust Sirius to always go big. To Sirius’s right, strangely enough, sat Lily. Oops. Remus foresaw a fist fight in his friends’ futures.

Lily kissed the toy delicately on the forehead, and passed it on.

By the time it reached Remus, there weren’t that many innocent places to choose from. He picked a front paw, already envisioning the mocking he would get about his supposed gentlemanly ways. Dorcas, who was sitting to his left, had kissed the toy on its left ear, which was not the best but not terrible. Ear kisses could be quite sexy, but you’d have to really try to make them so, so he was probably safe.

Just as he was thinking that, Sirius plopped down next to him, Dorcas moving a little to accommodate him. “Hey Moons,” he said, raising his bottle of butterbeer at Remus  before looking, as everyone was, at Kingsley, who was the last person left.

Remus panicked. Did Sirius move on purpose? Did he know the game? Or did he really just get up to get a butterbeer and then sat down in a spot closer to the coffee table?

Once Kingsley had kissed the toy on its tail, Peter explained the second round. This time, each player in their turn would kiss the person to their right at the same location they had kissed the toy. Kingsley immediately protested that James did not have a tail. Snickering but not wanting to disclose that was not exactly correct, Peter said he would just have to kiss him on the arse.

“Tailbone,” said Remus out of his stupor. “Humans have a tailbone.”

“Same difference,” said Sirius airily.

Lily snickered. “Do you hear that, Shacklebolt? You only have to kiss the very top of his arse,” she said, dissolving into hysterics.

“As much as I’m flattered you’re so keen to kiss my arse,” said James, grinning at Kingsley, “it’s not your turn yet. It’s mine.”

That made Lily stop laughing. “No way,” she said. “I’m not letting Potter kiss me.”

“It’s just on your nose,” said Peter.

“I know him, he’ll say he slipped and kiss me on the mouth!”

“Marauder’s honor,” said James, lifting his right hand.

“What does that even mean? Anyway, you can’t make me!”

“Those are the rules, Evans!” crowed Sirius.

But James turned serious. “No, I can’t make you. If it’s that repulsive to you, I won’t. But it’s just a game, I promise I won’t read anything into it.”

Lily blushed, but then raised her head to look at him. “Okay,” she said.

James rose to his knees in front of her, cupping her face with both hands, and gently kissed her lightly freckled nose.

He sat back on his heels to look at her for a moment, and then moved back to his seat. Lily was red as a tomato. She rose onto her knees like James had done, and kissed her friend Mary affectionately on the forehead.

Remus’s mind was reeling. What was he going to do? He couldn’t cheat on Mark, but he was afraid his friends would think him a wet blanket. They might think it doesn’t count if it’s a game, and they didn’t seem to take his relationship with Mark very seriously. It was true they didn’t spend as much time together as other couples, but as a pair of introverts, that suited them. He also didn’t want to give Sirius the wizard flu he was still recovering from after all the trouble he went to to never share bottles and wash his hands often.

Everyone else was being a good sport, though. Soon Marlene was kissing a giggling Dorcas on the eyelid, and then Sirius was moving his hair aside to allow Dorcas to kiss his ear, and it was Sirius’ turn and what should he do?

Sirius was looking at him with an intense expression, not moving. It occurred to Remus he must be waiting for permission, game be damned. The thought warmed him. “I can’t!” he blurted out. “I have a boyfriend and the flu!” Both reasons together would surely have enough weight.

“Sod the flu!” Sirius called out, and tackled Remus. His face was very close to Remus’s for a moment, but then he winked and sat back up.

Remus also sat up, shaken, and hastened to deliver Susan’s kiss.

After the game, Remus suddenly felt very tired and decided to go to sleep, even though everyone else was still up and up to no good. That removed him from Sirius’s presence for a while, but the relief only lasted till morning. When Remus opened his bed curtains, he could see Sirius bouncing on James’s bed. He felt a rush of excitement, which he tried to suppress unsuccessfully.

“Morning Moons!” said Sirius, grinning at him.

Remus flushed and fled to the bathroom. Fuck, fuck, fuck! He could absolutely not have a crush on Sirius. He had a boyfriend, for Merlin’s sake! He wasn’t supposed to get crushes on other people!

Unfortunately, his body hadn’t gotten the memo, and every time he saw Sirius in the next few days, his ribcage felt three sizes too small. He had never had a crush that intense. He knew, logically, that it had to be the forbidden nature of his crush that made it so strong, but he couldn’t bring himself to let go of the guilt. He had a boyfriend and it was wrong, wrong, wrong.

Remus wished Mark hadn’t gone home for the holidays. Surely if he was around, that would be enough excitement to distract Remus from inappropriate crushes.

When term started, Remus was relieved to see Mark again. They took a walk on the grounds, talking about their holidays. Remus didn’t mention the game or his crush. He didn’t want to hurt Mark. They snogged, and Remus relaxed a little because Mark was tall and handsome and so very pleasantly masculine. His inconvenient crush would go away soon and he would once again be a good boyfriend and no one would have to know about his slip up.

Unfortunately, before that happened, somebody noticed. Peter found him in the dorm one afternoon, while James and Sirius were at Quidditch. “Hey, Moony?”

“Do you fancy Sirius?”

Remus sputtered. “I have a boyfriend, Pete!”

“That doesn’t answer my question.”

“Yes it does, because I can’t fancy him, because I have a boyfriend!”

“That’s not how it works, Rem. The heart wants what the heart wants,” said Peter sagely.

“It’s just an infatuation,” protested Remus. “It’ll go away. It already is, a little bit.” Which was true, Remus’s heart didn’t beat nearly as loudly as before when Sirius threw a friendly arm over his shoulder.

“Is what you have with Mark more than an infatuation, then?”

“Obviously,” said Remus. “It’s a relationship.”

“True,” Peter conceded. “I mean, mostly. You don’t spend much time together, do you?”

“We’re introverts! That’s how introvert relationships work!”

“Is it?” said Peter. “Shacklebolt and that Ravenclaw spend an awful lot of time just studying next to each other, not talking.”

“Well,” said Remus, “you have to be really comfortable with the person to do that.”

“Like you’re comfortable with Sirius?”

“I’m comfortable with you and James too, you’re my friends.”

“But you don’t have a crush on either of us. If I almost kissed you in a game, you wouldn’t develop a massive crush on me, don’t deny it.”

“Yes, because you’re not ridiculously gorgeous!” exclaimed Remus. “Er, sorry Pete, not that you’re unattractive, but Siri-”

“I know,” said Peter, “I may be straight, but I do have eyes.”

“So it’s just a ridiculous crush on a pretty boy,” concluded Remus.

“I don’t think it’s just any pretty boy, Moony,” said Peter. “You and Sirius are such a great pair. You work really well together, that’s why you always end up teamed up for pranks.”

“We do,” Remus admitted. He loved working with Sirius, on pranks and in class. He really felt like they were on equal footing, bouncing ideas off each other and refining them. “I’ll think about it,” he told Peter.

As it happens, Remus didn’t think about it. His crush had successfully subsided, along with his relationship with Mark. He focused on schoolwork, and his feelings towards Sirius returned to the previous warm affection of before, albeit more than for his other friends. He’s my best friend, he told himself. People play favorites with their friends all the time. The desire to partner up with Sirius for every project and activity didn’t disappear, though. Now that Remus had noticed it, he realized it was always there.

It was all very confusing, really. He was happy with what he had with Sirius, he didn’t need to add snogging or romance to it, but the thought of snogging him still sent a little jolt through him. Was it even right to be in an exclusive relationship when you have a friend that close?

The question seemed immaterial when Remus realized his relationship with Mark didn’t really exist anymore. They had grown apart without even noticing. Officially, however, they were still a couple. Remus needed to know where he stood. He caught Mark on his way out of the Great Hall after dinner, telling his friends he’d catch up with them later.

Once he and Mark reached a quiet enough corridor, Remus took a deep breath and said his practiced line. “Are going to put more effort into this relationship or are we going to break up?”

Mark didn’t hesitate. “Break up,” he said.

Remus was a little offended that Mark was giving up so easily, almost like Remus was a nuisance to get rid of, but then reminded himself he was the one who had had a crush on someone else.

“Okay,” he said and turned towards Gryffindor tower, marveling at how little he felt about his first break up.

“What was that about?” James asked when Remus entered the common room.

Peter grinned smugly.

Remus rolled his eyes. “Mark and I broke up,” he said.

“Really?” James asked. “I didn’t realize you were still dating.

Remus huffed. Introvert problems, your friends underestimate your relationships. Or maybe they hadn’t, really.

Sirius, however, was silent, expression unreadable. Remus smiled at him. "Help me with that Charms essay, will you Pads?”

It was late and only Remus and Sirius remained in the common room. Remus was putting the finishing touches on his essay, and Sirius was sleeping with his head in Remus’s lap. Only he wasn’t sleeping, Remus realized when he glanced at him. His eyes were open and he was looking at Remus.

“Time for bed,” Remus told him, blowing on his parchment to dry the ink.

Sirius rose and brandished his wand, drying the ink with a spell.

“Show off,” Remus muttered.

But Sirius was already rolling his parchment for him.

“What are you doing?” asked Remus. “I can get my own stuff.”

Sirius straightened up and looked at him. “You don’t have the flu, do you?”

“No,” said Remus, confused.

“And as of this evening, you don’t have a boyfriend,” said Sirius slyly.

Remus felt all the overwhelming excitement come back, as if no time had passed. Sirius wanted to kiss him! “N-no,” said Remus, a little wobbly.

“Good,” said Sirius, who was now very close. “Because if you’re willing, I believe I still owe you a kiss.”

Remus giggled a little at the silliness of it all, but Merlin help him, he was willing. “Yes please,” he said, not quite succeeding in containing his grin.

Hello! Regarding Chapter 4, just before the execution, it struck me as interesting how Ouma had cried and post-execution he continued on with his usual facade. It struck me as something interesting, what do you think about this?

This is a really good question to ask! A lot of people’s uncertainty with how to react to Ouma I think stems because his huge 180 in Chapter 4 roped not only the characters in but also the people playing the game themselves. Considering Ouma calls himself a huge liar at almost every twist and turn, people were very understandably wary to let their guards down around him and trust anything he says, even when he claims that it’s actually the truth this time. And when he pulled the most drastic switch of the entire game and not only begins acting horribly, but also calling both the characters and the players out on believing him, it caused a lot of feelings of hurt and betrayal. Needless to say, this was all intentional, both by Ouma in-game and Kodaka as a writer.

There’s actually a few reasons for the huge dissonance between the way he acted pre- and post-execution in Chapter 4, and they all add to why he’s such a complex and interesting character.

He heard the shout before he felt the wind getting knocked out of him by a mass of pure muscle wrapping around his waist and tackling him to the ground. He made an undignified squeak as he fell, expecting the harsh ground to smash against his back. But instead he landed on a slightly softer surface. He propped himself up on his elbows to see the Commander smiling like a dork under him.

“What is wrong with you?” Dorian tried not to laugh as he watched Cullen’s face light up. “Do you often assault people minding their own business?”

Dorian stood and offered his hand. Cullen took it without hesitation, but rather than pulling himself up, he just pulled Dorian back down. He used their combined weight to roll them so Dorian lay on his back and Cullen sat perched atop his hips. He balled his hands into loose fists and held them up.

Dorian raised an eyebrow, “Oh I see: you want a fight.”

Cullen smiled down at him and began to throw an easily avoidable punch. Before it could come anywhere close to landing on anything, Dorian threw up a ward, throwing the Commander back a good five or so feet. Dorian quickly got to his feet and laughed at Cullen’s shocked expression.

“That’s cheating!” He snickered.

“That’s what I’m best at, isn’t it?” Dorian waited until Cullen got to his feet before making a run for it.

“If I can’t use magic, neither should you!” He began to sprint after him, dodging the messengers and training troops.

“It’s no fun if you put rules on it!” Dorian called back, only daring to glance back for a second, lest he slam into a tree.

He felt arms around his ankles as soon as he looked forward again, crashing to the ground. He managed to scramble onto his back before Cullen was on his hips again, hands up, ready to block whatever Dorian had for him.

“I’m not going to beat up a cripple.”

Cullen threw his head back as he laughed, distracting him long enough for Dorian to toss him over his head and onto his back. Dorian got to his feet as he waited for Cullen to stop laughing. The Commander eventually stood and got into a fighting stance. Dorian chuckled as he did the same.

Cullen charged at him with a sloppy punch. Dorian ducked to the left, only to be caught in the ribs with a breathtaking blow. He winced as a surprising pain when through his side.

“Ah! Good one. You’re not holding back, are you?”

Cullen laughed as he stood back again, beginning to circle Dorian. “I know you can take it.”

Dorian followed the blond’s lead, ignoring the throbbing in his side. He would definitely have a bruise in the morning.

“You’re sure you want to fight me?” Dorian taunted.

Cullen grinned, “Without your magic you’re defensele—”

He was cut off as Dorian’s fist collided with his jaw. Cullen went stumbling to the ground, more in shock than in pain. Cullen chuckled as he swirled his tongue around his mouth and tasted blood. He spat and remained on one knee staring up at Dorian with a praising look.

“Defenseless?” Dorian scoffed, “Are you so certain about that?”

Cullen threw himself at Dorian’s midsection, draping him over his shoulders and standing.

“Put me down you damn brute!” Dorian said as he laughed, enough to make him lightheaded. Cullen laughed with him, obliging to his request and beginning to lower them to the ground. He let Dorian off of his shoulders before laying down in the grass.

“For a cripple, you can throw a punch.” Dorian teased as he laid down next to him, putting his arms behind his head and staring up at the clouds. “I haven’t done anything like that since I was a teenager,” he reminisced.

Cullen hummed next to him, his panting settling into a content sigh. “I figured we could both use a bit of fun.”

Dorian chuckled, “Our ideas of fun are very different.”

Cullen shifted onto his side to face the mage, “But you enjoyed yourself, didn’t you?”

“Is that what you would like to hear?” Dorian tilted his head to look Cullen in the eye.

The blond shrugged and ran his hand through his hair to brush it back into place. “That would be nice,” he smiled.

“Then no.”

Cullen laughed and rolled onto his back again. “I’m sorry for wasting your time, then.”

Dorian rolled his eyes and sighed dramatically, “Now you’re making me feel guilty; that’s also cheating.”

Cullen grinned at him, “Can’t cheat after you’ve won.”

Dorian smirked as he removed his hands from behind his head and started brushing the dirt from his clothes. “Is that what you think happened?”

Cullen shrugged, “I won by forfeit.”

Dorian rested his hands next to him in the grass as he subconsciously started looking for shapes in the clouds. Cullen’s warm fingers tangled with his and he glanced over with confusion. The blond simply smiled at him and squeezed his hand.

“I should, um…” Dorian didn’t want to leave or seem like he was eager to end their interaction, but they were publicly laying in the garden watching the clouds together while holding hands, and Dorian didn’t need Varric to tease him with it later. “I need to get back to my research—”

“I’ll walk with you,” Cullen offered immediately. He tugged Dorian up with him, and they were probably a little too close when they both got their footing. But Cullen obviously didn’t mind by the way he wrapped his arm around Dorian’s waist while they walked.

Technically they were courting, but Dorian simply never imagined that Cullen would want to give people any more ammunition against him. But then again, many things about the way Cullen conducted himself around him surprised Dorian. It almost felt as if Cullen was proud to show off his affection for Dorian. Overall, Dorian figured it wasn’t such a bad thing. He may have even enjoyed it a little.

The Switch: Chapter 2

Chapter 1 | HTTYD Fic Masterpost

Astrid and Hiccup are cursed… to switch bodies. RTTE-verse

Another fic that was suggested I finish! I’m not sure if I’ll be able to finish it… but here’s the next chapter! Enjoy!

“Okay…” Hiccup said slowly. “O…kay…”

“Stop doing that!” he heard his own voice say, irritated.

He looked over at himself—at Astrid, and saw that he—she was glaring at him.

“What?” he asked.

“Stop touching me!” she snapped.

With a jolt, he realized he had been absentmindedly moving his hands around the body he now inhabited, getting used to it. “Sorry,” he said, his face heating up, moving his hands away. “I’m just… shocked.”

Now imagine this:

Draco thinking about Hermione all the time, and he has no idea why. Then he’s talking about her with some of his Slytherin friends like “that stupid Mudblood think she’s so clever” and stuff like that, and then one of them says something like “You talk about that Granger girl all the time Malfoy, are you in love with her or something?” And then everybody just laugh cause it’s obviously a joke. But Draco keeps thinking about Hermione and what the Slytherin boy said and then he slowly begin to realize he is in love with her. He try to avoid the thought of it, push it away, but he usually find himself heading towards the library just to check if she’s there. To see her face, and hear her voice.

This goes on for a while, until Hermione finds out Ron is cheating on her (or some shit), and she sits in the library, crying, thinking she’s alone. Draco see her crying and starts panicking. There’s nothing he wants to do more than to comfort her but he knows she hates him, so he doesn’t want to make her more uncomfortable. Instead he gets some chocolate and write a little note saying “Eat this beautiful. It’ll make you feel better. -D” (or something cute idk). Then he sneaks it into her bag (or something) and then leave before she see him.
He keeps leaving small messages and presents for her, and he watch her get happier and happier. In the meanwhile she’s trying to figure out who her “secret admirer” are.

Then someday she catch him in the act. She’s totally speechless at first, then she ask if it’s a joke, while Draco just stand there deciding whether to lie and say it’s a joke or tell the truth. He decide to say it’s a joke. He doesn’t want to risk the embarrassment, that she doesn’t like him back. But she’s still on his mind 24/7

Hermione can’t stop thinking about Draco either. Was it really a joke? He doesn’t looked like he was making fun of her. And why bother so much with a simple prank. Besides Draco doesn’t seem like the biggest prankster. All of those thoughts go through her head.

One night, they’re both in the library, alone. Draco notice Hermione first, but he just ignore her. After a little while, she notice him too, but she also ignore him. But she can’t hold her thoughts on anymore so she walks over and stands in front of him, and ask: “Why did you do it?” He doesn’t look up from his book. He just say: “Do what?” “Left me the messages and everything” “I told you, it was a joke. I was trying to embarrass you” “aren’t you the one who’s being embarrassed?” “I didn’t say it was a good joke”. Then he finally looks up. They look at each other for a little while, then she leans forward and presses her lips against his.

If anybody who’s actually good at writing fanfiction (unlike me) wants to write this, just longer or in a better way, please inform me because I REALLY REALLY WANT TO READ IT. Also sorry for all the spelling/grammatical mistakes. It’s almost 1am and I’m a liiitle tired
Now if you’ll excuse me, I’ll just go lay in the corner, and maybe die a little. Or a lot
