tinkdw  asked:

I headcanon Ketch is all over 'alternative substances' ....

You know what, I think you’re right. But I don’t think his idea of a good time on drugs and DEAN’S idea of a good time on drugs is the same.

Dean is the “let’s split this joint and watch movies under some warm blankets and eat nachos” kind of dude

Ketch is the “let’s do cocaine off a stripper’s ass in the casino VIP lounge on a Tuesday afternoon” kind of dude

(Ketch is a thrill-seeking adrenaline junkie - motorcycle, tattoos, reckless awol missions/problem with authority, indiscriminate killing. Dean is not. Often they are poised as the same in canon, but their reasons for doing similar things are different, which I think would translate here as well.)

I have some embarrassing stories but at least they’re not as bad as some of charlie brooker’s:

  • once jumped on the end of a bench and the entire thing toppled over on top of him, somehow
  • once got dumped by his girlfriend because he drew her an anatomically correct heart on her valentines card and she thought it was a threat
  • once ACCIDENTALLY kissed his friends mum on the lips and said “mmmmm… delicious” because he mixed it up in his brain
  • once had an argument with someone over the phone in public and she hung up on him so he tried to pretend she hadn’t and was still pretending to speak to her when his phone rang again
  • once gifted his then-girlfriend a painted bin but she wasn’t in so he gave it to her dad instead

this man is a mess

It was Christmas Eve of 2015, and 23-year-old Katie Locke was getting ready to meet 26-year-old Carl Langdell for the very first time in person. They had began chatting on the dating website Plenty of Fish where he falsely told the young woman that he was a reputable lawyer. In fact, just months prior he had threatened to kill a mental health nurse before telling another that he had fantasies of cutting a woman’s throat. It would be their very first and very last date.

When Locke got to the Theobalds Park Hotel in Hertfordshire, they spent the evening having a drink with one another. What started as a pleasant date soon turned into a nightmare. What happened next is not known for sure, but at some point in the night, Langdell brutally attacked and then strangled Locke to death before taking photos of himself sexually assaulting her corpse. Following her murder, he wrapped her body in a duvet and dumped it in a nearby skip.

The following day, he confessed to what he had done and told his psychiatrist that he was a “monster.” He was sentenced to life imprisonment.

"Don't Ever Break Up With Me Again"

This joke of Mai’s is one of the most common points brought up by people who want to portray Maiko as unhealthy and Mai as abusive and controlling. However, the context of the last time Zuko broke up with her is what makes this joke. Because remember the last time Zuko broke up with Mai, she saved his life.

Mai and Zuko have broken up several times in canon so far, two of those times before her joke. The first time, Mai dumps Zuko after he flies into a jealous rage over her talking to another boy, throws that boy across the room, and then publicly insults Mai when she gets upset. After all of that, Mai doesn’t retaliate, she just breaks up with Zuko and tells him why. There’s no punishment, no attempt to control him, just the acknowledgement that she can’t be in a relationship with him if he’s going to do that.

The second time they break up, Zuko dumps Mai, by letter, in order to join the Avatar. She is furious. He abandons her, he commits treason, he probably puts her in a very awkward position with Azula and even the Firelord, and he doesn’t even tell her to her face. And she tells this to Zuko when she sees him again at the Boiling Rock. And then, almost immediately afterward, after he has locked her up, she breaks out to save his life and help him and his companions escape. And when she faces Azula afterward, she clearly expects to die for it. Again, there is no vindictiveness here, no attempt to punish Zuko for leaving her, in spite of the fact that she is obviously hurt. Instead she performs an act of profound love and sacrifice.

And this is why her joke in the finale works, because when she tells Zuko “Don’t ever break up with me again,” she is reminding him, and the audience of the last time he did, when she “sav[ed] the jerk who dumped [her].” Zuko, it’s also clear understands the joke for what it is, since after giving her a nervous, guilty, little smile, he relaxes happily into her arms.

16 –year-old Margarita Chernova of Chelyabinsk was neglected by her mother and was a very troubled kid. She would run away from home often, sometimes travelling to Moscow. Once Margarita called to her school and said that there was a bomb in the building.  On 29 October 2016 Margarita went to a house party and never came back. On 5 November her body was found in the woods. Some media outlets reported that her throat was slit. Soon an arrest was made. The suspect is 23 years old Dmitry who has previous convictions. He was at the party when he accused Margarita of stealing his cellphone. She didn’t like it, started to scream and tried to destroy his television. Then Dmitry offered Margarita to go outside so they could “talk”. Instead of conversation, he stabbed Margarita numerous times and dumped her body in the woods nearby.

Okay so I’m slowly falling in love with the idea of Percy being a son of Aphrodite  because that au would be so neat like-

  • Percy still having his troublemaker smile and messy windswept hair and sea green eyes but there’s a certain almost uncomfortable beauty to him, inspiring a slight, undefinable uneasiness in most others because his eyes are almost too green and too deep and his crooked troublemaker smile dimples his left cheek in the most radiant way and even his messy windswept hair looks like it was supposed to be tousled in that way and all of his imperfections some how make him more appealing.
  • And because people don’t really understand where this uneasiness comes from so it just furthermore gets Percy labeled as a troublemaker at first glance.
  • Percy getting teased with/nicknamed ‘Pretty Percy’
  • Grover finding Percy at Yancy Academy because his smell is so potent that he knows that Percy must be powerful.
  • When Nancy Bobofit dumps her food onto Grover’s lap, Percy snaps for her to go jump in the fountain and to his surprise she actually does it and he’s never been so confused in his life.
  • (This of course starts the chain reaction that ends with him passing out on the deck of the Big House with the golden haired girl saying that he must be the one)
  • Annabeth Chase, Daughter of Apollo, gives him the tour around camp.
  • After Capture the Flag when Percy gets claimed there’s such a sense of disappointment from everyone - the kid who killed the minotaur with its own horn was a son of Aphrodite? Seriously?
  • But the disappointment is quickly replaced with shock when Percy disarms Luke at sword practice without even lifting his sword. He just told Luke to drop his sword, and without a second thought, Luke did.
  • Silena is the one who tells Percy about charmspeak.
  • He still becomes a master swordsman and is still one of the most powerful, if not the most powerful demigods of the series.
  • His charmspeak goes from being something that happened either on accident or in dire situations to being more potent then you could imagine. It freaks out a lot of people because he could tell you to do anything, and you would comply without a second glance.
  • He can actually feel love, whether it be romantic, platonic or otherwise. He’ll sense it between partners and families and friends, and he tries to describe it and how each love is distinct and different but no one quite understands - everyone except for Aphrodite that is.
  • One of his powers that he discovers later on in the series is the ability to manipulate love and everything that goes with it. It goes far beyond the trivial, relationship-ending things his siblings do. The love that he can feel and sense between people - he can ruin it, he can make it so it was if it was never there. He can turn that passion into burning hatred. He can turn want into obsessive desire. And that’s when he understands what Aphrodite says when she says that love can bring the gods to their knees.
  • He’s still the child of the prophecy. Aphrodite considers herself the oldest god, being created out of Ouranos. When he was defeated his immortal essence created the sea foam from which Aphrodite was born.

But now onto the cute headcanons of Aphrodite!Percy

  • Being absolute dorks with his siblings.
  • Playing princess dress up with Lacy and letting her do his makeup
  • Getting teased mercilessly by Silena for his totally obvious crush on Annabeth.
  • Using his charmspeak to tease and flirt with Annabeth.
  • Annabeth and him being jokingly known as the ‘flower’ couple of the camp because she’s sunshine and he’s love even though they’re both scary af.
  • Percy speaking fluent french
  • Percy speaking fluent french to Annabeth
  • Percy knowing that he’s attractive and being overly dramatic with hair flips and posing.
  • Percy using his aphrodite-esque powers and looks to become suddenly extremely alluring to Annabeth - which she then blushes and punches him in the arm while he snickers.
  • Percy breaking the stigmas that go along with being a child of Aphrodite.
Change of Plans: Part one

A/N: Okay so, this is the first part of this. It ended up getting super wordy. @themcuhasruinedme was the best and help me write this so go check her out. But I really liked writing this and I hope you guys like it. this is my first Wolverine fic so feedback is appreciated.

Requested by anon:  Hello there ! I was wondering, do you think you could write a angsty Bucky x Reader where he dumps her like trash and she ends up falling in love with Wolverine but Bucky’s also in love with her, please

Word count: 2057 words

Warnings: Cheating, a bit of angst, maybe as curse word idk

Setting down your bag on the table, you slipped of your shoes before looking around your apartment. You noticed it was a bit dirty, so you decided to clean it up before your boyfriend, Bucky got home from the compound today.

Deciding to clean the bedroom first you started by making the bed and picking up any trash that had missed the basket. Once you finished that you decided to run a quick load of clothes.

I just don’t understand why people are sympathizing with Georgi. He seems like such an abuser to me.

1. He made his ex take kissing/pda photos with him that she obviously wasn’t comfortable with.

2. He devotes his entire theme to her after she dumps him (obsessive much?)
3. He fantasizes about “saving her” from her obviously much healthier new relationship

4. Saying he’d kiss her no matter what. (I recognize it’s a metaphor but this is creepy as hell)

5. Here we have him threatening to stalk her and

6. Vilifying her for leaving him and even going as far as acting out her fake screams of terror at his “refusal to forgive” in his head

If the series has time I can definitely see it doing some great things in showing Georgi learning that he can’t blame or threaten her just because he’s hurting. YOI hasn’t let me down yet. All I can say is that I’m happy Anya found a person who treats her better and Georgi leaves her the fuck alone soon.

okay but seriously i want to know why everyone keeps on hating on penetrator chris? I mean okay he’s definitely not an angel but c’mon he didn’t do anything to deserve this amount of hate. He cheated of course but so did Eva and I don’t see anyone writing bad stuff about her. His girlfriend dumped him (thank god) and he hooked up with some girls, and???

He persuaded William to come back to Nora, I bet he yelled at him in the car to come back to her, he comforted Eva at the Halloween party. And u keep hating, okay.

I hope Skam’s producers will give him a whole season (mainly because I think he’s bisexual) BYE

azarath-evo  asked:

Beast Boy: "You kissed me" Raven: "Yes, we've established that"

Raven scowled. Perhaps it was her own fault she was stuck in this situation, but she’d be damned if she ever admitted such a thing. Besides, it was far easier to dump all of her irritation onto a certain changeling.

He did have her pinned against the wall, after all.

“Can I help you?” she drawled, crossing her arms firmly across her chest. Raven’s frown cut deep into her features, and she fixed him with her most irritated stare. He was not deterred, however, and his gaze merely searched hers.

“You kissed me.”

It wasn’t a question. Heat rose to Raven’s cheeks, and she forced herself to maintain eye contact. “Yes, I believe we have already established that.”

At this, she raised her brows. “Isn’t it obvious?” she asked. There was a moment of hesitation, and Raven could feel the swell of confusion stirring within him. This probably shouldn’t have surprised her as much as it did, but she couldn’t help but shake her head. Raven leaned forward, suppressing a shiver as their noses touched.

“I like you.”

Beast Boy stared as if he was in a trance, his mouth hanging open. He looked pretty cute like that, and Raven couldn’t resist. She kissed him again, relishing the taste of his lips. She broke away, a smile tugging at the corners of her mouth.

“Damn,” Beast Boy stammered. Raven chuckled.

“Yes indeed. Am I free to go now?”

The shapeshifter blinked, the shock slowly fading from his expression. “I dunno. Will you go out to dinner with me?”

“If you let me go, then yes.”

Beast Boy grinned. “Okay, great. But you’ve gotta kiss me first.”

Raven rolled her eyes, but she obliged, the smile never leaving her lips.

This was fun. And I will always take the excuse to make these two smoosh faces, lol. Enjoy, friend! :D

Supergirl: Kara/James Meta

I wanted to reflect a little bit on the Kara/James relationship. A lot of people have said that their relationship ended before it began for no reason–or that the only reason was to “make room” for Mon-El–but I disagree entirely. I believe the romance was interrupted by Kara’s brush with death, which forces her to reconsider everything in her life (outside of being Supergirl).

Warning: Spoilers for all episodes for Supergirl through 02x15 Exodus.

I think the major reason for this “no reason” perception comes from the break between Season 1 and Season 2. In fact, the “sudden breakup” thing reads to me like another TV romance, JD/Eliot in Scrubs, specifically 3x20 My Fault, where JD gives a speech to Eliot about he wanted to be with her, finally wooing her into dumping her fiance to be with him. As she curls against him, his thought is the final thing we hear: “I DON’T WANT HER!”

It’s jarring but not entirely unexpected, given our knowledge of the characters. It does feel weird, though, because unlike Scrubs, the characters on Supergirl are more mature, and most of them are self-aware, too. However, Kara is struggling with herself and her awareness of herself.

So what prompts this epic split between Kara and James after they spent a good chunk of Season 1 in the will-they-or-won’t-they phase? I believe it all comes down to Supergirl facing her own death during the Season 1 finale.

Given the odds she’s facing in the Season 1 Finale, she says her goodbye:

KARA: James, I know in my heart, that we could’ve been happy together. But we missed our chance. And now, the most important thing to me is that you find happiness. Find someone who appreciates how amazing you are.

JAMES: Kara, wait. Kara, why are you saying this? What’s going on with you?

KARA: Nothing. I just… I care about you a lot, James Olsen. Always remember that.

JAMES: Kara.

KARA: I can’t. I have to go.

– Episode 01x20 Better Angels

She then has this conversation with J’onn J’onzz:

J’ONN: I was exactly where you are, Kara. And when I was, you told me to never give up.

KARA: I’m not giving up. But my mother didn’t send me to Earth to fall in love with a human, have children, live in a house with a white picket fence. She sent me here to protect Kal-El. And now, I will use my powers to protect the Earth. And If I die achieving that, I’m at peace with it. I’ll join my mother. We’ll be together in Rao’s light.

– Episode 01x20 Better Angels

Still, Kara faces off against Non and Indigo and lives, though she nearly dies in the process several times. She has a reunion with everyone after her narrow escape (thanks to Alex being a bad-ass), and then she tries to act as if she hadn’t been essentially arranging for her own funeral for the entire episode.

I wish they had spent more time on this, but the show goes from the end of Season 1 to the beginning of Season 2 with almost all of this struggle to return to normal off-screen. We are literally seeing the tail-end of it in 02x01 The Adventures of Supergirl.

In the Season 2 Premiere, we pick up with a few spare comments about the dude in a pod before she starts talking about her date with James, which apparently they arranged, even though she told him that they couldn’t be together. That kiss during her “hey we survived” party magically made everything better, right?

Except it didn’t.

ALEX: So, are you watching the Venture launch tonight?

KARA: No, actually, James and I are going on our first date. It’s gonna be great. We are finally both free and clear to just hang out. No aliens trying to destroy the Earth. Just him and me, together like normal people, doing what people do on dates.

ALEX: Okay.

KARA: What?

ALEX: What, what? You’re doing that thing where you say “Okay,” but you’re not actually okay. Because you’re doing that thing where you are super overeager, which means that you really aren’t, but you’re trying to convince yourself that you are.

KARA: I am not doing that thing. That’s… I’m excited. This is me excited. Mmm-hmm.

– Episode 02x01 The Adventures of Supergirl

This is the first sign that Kara hasn’t really dealt with her near-death experience in the Season 1 Finale. She’s trying to act like she hasn’t just made a major life discovery, like everything hasn’t changed for her, and part of that is going on a date with James (pursing “the romance”).

But it’s not just Kara that’s getting all wiggy here. James is super-nervous, too.

KARA: Pizza and potstickers is my most favorite meal.

JAMES: Which I know about you. Um, I’m surprised you don’t have the Venture launch on. I know how into the space program you are.

KARA: Oh, that’s not a big deal.

JAMES: Kara, you can put it on, it’s fine.

KARA: Well, maybe I’ll just put it on without the sound.

– Episode 02x01 The Adventures of Supergirl

James definitely knows a lot about Kara, and he certainly know how she feels about him. So why is he so nervous? I’m guessing it has to do with how she’s been acting (off-screen) between the Season 1 Finale and the Season 2 Premiere. He knows something is up, and he must’ve realized it’s affecting their relationship. Even though he knows how she feels about him and that he reciprocates, it makes him nervous. This is also why he asks her “What’s changed?” later in the episode.

Then we get this conversation with Superman:

KARA: For so long, I kept my head down and moved forward. And life was simple. And now I have all these options. An amazing guy and any job I want and I’m… I’m stuck.

CLARK: I’ve been where you are. You know, trying to figure out how to be Clark and Superman.

KARA: Yeah, but you made it look so easy.

CLARK: Well, it wasn’t. It’s still not. Look, all I know is that being Kara is just as important as being Supergirl… Trust yourself, Kara. Listen to your heart. If things are right with James, you’ll know it.

– Episode 02x01 The Adventures of Supergirl

If Kara was really ready for a relationship with anyone, then she wouldn’t be so conflicted over everything. She would understand and accept that any dates James and she have will almost certainly be interrupted by all manner of things, given both their jobs and the fact that she is Supergirl on top of it.

Instead she fixates on “the perfect date,” aka the thing that will make her feel like being with James is exactly right, which is the kind of thing you do when you’re uncertain of a relationship… and you know it, and you don’t want to admit you’re uncertain about it. Kara has been feeling that being with James isn’t right for her, almost certainly since 01x20 Better Angels, but she hasn’t dealt with that. She’s trying to push ahead like those doubts aren’t there because she was so certain she wanted to be with James before.

Thus, Kara is seeking verification. She wants to know she’s on the right path. But there’s no such thing for relationships. You have to jump in and swim, and that relationship might sink to the deep and drag you along with it.

She eventually comes to the conclusion that Alex seems to have already guessed and James seems to be dreading… that she shouldn’t be with James.

“You know, what’s funny is, on Krypton, by my age, I’d be a spinster. I know it seems like I should have everything figured out by now, but I don’t. Last year was all about figuring out how to be Supergirl, and now… Now it’s time I figure out how to be Kara. You were right, James. Something has changed for me. You and me together, that’s all I wanted. But now when I listen to my heart, I just… I know that we are best as friends.”

– Kara to James in episode 02x01 The Adventures of Supergirl

Far from this being out of the blue, both the Season 1 finale and the Season 2 premiere implied this was coming. The primary issue (the reason it was a surprise) is that the kiss at the end of 01x20 Better Angels implies a resolution and moving forward, which 02x01 The Adventures of Supergirl doesn’t truly address head-on until the last few scenes.

Kara faces her own mortality and prepares for her own funeral in the Season 1 finale, and unlike many other superhero/scifi shows, Supergirl decides to actually address the fall-out from those decisions at the beginning of Season 2 in a very real way. Kara has tons of things to distract her from inner revelations, (not the least of which is the Dude in a Kryptonian Pod) including deciding on a new career and starting a new romantic relationship.

During 02x01 The Adventures of Supergirl, Kara tries to act as if nothing has changed. As if she hasn’t realized that becoming Supergirl is a lot more than just rescuing cats (or snakes named Fluffy) from trees… She’s been injured and in danger before, certainly, but Kara willingly laid down her life for the planet, going so far as to fly into outer space without a safe way to return.

This experience shakes up everything Kara knew about herself and Supergirl, so it makes sense that it would shake up all her relationships. Which it does. She leans on Clark when he arrives, but during the first three episodes, she has conflicts with pretty much everybody she knows, including Alex (02x02 The Last Children of Krypton) and J’onn (02x01 The Adventures of Supergirl and 02x02 The Last Children of Krypton), though both those conflicts appear to be a result of her relationship with Clark. But it’s more than that. A lot more.

Kara doesn’t jump into a relationship with anyone else after she ends things with James. In fact, it’s not until 02x11 The Martian Chronicles, when Alex encourages Kara to explore her feelings about Mon-El, which is months after 02x01 The Adventures of Supergirl.

The reason for Kara and James splitting up isn’t abrupt or random, but it does leave the door open for future development, which the show did not pursue. I wish they spent more time on Kara’s inner struggle here, because they have a great speech from Cat Grant that underscores the theme, but they left out so much of the self-reflection that it’s easy to miss.

“You’re standing on the shore, afraid to dive into the new waters, and you’re afraid because you don’t wanna say goodbye to the mild-mannered, lovelorn Kara Danvers, the sweet and dutiful assistant to Cat Grant. You are standing there looking out at your options, the icy blue water, the fast-flowing river, and the choppy sea. And they all look very appealing to you because you’re dying to go for a swim, but you know that water is going to be cold, and the journey is going to be hard, and when you reach the other side, you will have become a new person. And you are scared to meet that new version of yourself. Now, we all get used to our own personas, and we’re used to our own comfort zones, but, trust me, in order to live, we must keep daring. Keep diving.”

– Kat Grant in episode 02x01 The Adventures of Supergirl

Sudden, but not sudden.

If you ever think this is something Louis would willingly do again let me recommend you watch the video of him shoving past her at xfactor or perhaps you could peruse the pics from Niall’s party or even better check out the pics and video from the night he dumped her and her pal at the hotel in New York and then hauled ass out of there not 5 minutes later.

The Countess got rid of Donovan long ago. He has nowhere else to go, so after her dumping him, he’s been rooming with Iris.

You couldn’t find James at all this afternoon. You figured he was in his office so you decided to hang out at the bar. That’s the usual thing you do when you’re bored and need human interaction.

You and Donovan just met. The both of you have been having a friendly conversation at the bar getting to know each other. “So how long are you staying here, Y/N?”, he raises his glass to cheers with you.

“Well, I live here now actually. This place speaks to me.” You reply, then you gulped down your whiskey shot with a sour look on your face.

“Are you okay?” Donovan laughs.

“Yeah haha, that didn’t go down as smoothly as I hoped.”

Donovan looks up behind you. You noticed, so you turn around and you see James walk up to you. James put his hand on your shoulder, then asks, “What is this?”

”Oh James, this is Don-.” Donovan cuts you off and tells you, “Y/N we know each other. For awhile now, actually,” with a confused look on his face, Donovan asks James, “Why? Who is she to you?” Liz slides Donovan a shot and he takes it, gulping it down.

“Y/N is my lady. Now, if you’ll excuse us.” James looks quite angry. He was holding his cane and you can see his hand gripping it tight. He puts his arm out for you to hold onto as a signal to follow him.

“Sorry bro, I had no idea.” Donovan puts both of his hands up as a ‘my bad’ motion. Both Donovan and Liz glance at each other with wide eyes.

Finally reaching the elevator, James grabs both of your arms. He’s livid. “What was that all about huh?! What did I tell you? You are mine!”

You released your arms from his grip. “I was just having a nice conversation. Geez James, calm down. How do you two know each other anyways?”

“Never mind that! You are going to go to our room so I can punish you. You need to be reminded that no one else can have you!”

You rolled your eyes at James and didn’t say a word. He was obviously overreacting, but that’s the Scorpio in him. But in an odd way, it turned you on a little.

The elevator dings and the both of you walk to the room you share. You enter first, with James following behind. He slams the door, looks at you and points to the bed. “Take off your clothes and go.”

You bite your lip and flirtatiously ask, “Are you going to punish me with your cane, Mr. March?”

Looking at the mirror in front of you, you smoothed out you dress and let out a long sigh. Logan was supposed to be there in 30 minutes and to say you were nervous would be an understatement.

Hearing a knock on you door, you let out a noise of acknowledgment before Jean came in and smiled at you. “You look great Y/N. I’m glad you decided to go out with Logan.” She said, her face glowing with pride.

Teen Wolf parody where it’s season one and Lydia is the nerd nobody sees and Allison is the adventurer. She forces Lydia to go find a dead body one night where sometime during the night they end up separated and Allison is bit by a werewolf. The next morning, Allison meets Scott, the new kid. Stiles, the captain of the lacrosse team and resident playboy, befriends him. Jackson is an outcast with an awkward crush on Lydia. Derek is Coach’s nephew and is always at lacrosse practice, but freaks everyone out. The season progresses as it normally would with Stiles’ girlfriend is Erica.

When Erica dumps Stiles for cheating on her AGAIN, he finally admits to himself his feelings. For Lydia. Because even with roles reversed, Stiles has been in love with Lydia Martin since the third grade, but never saw that she was in love with him too.

I’m seeing a lot of posts about people thinking Steven “apologized” to Rose and that it muddled the ending and I’m like

did we see the same episode?  He was accepting that she probably didn’t want to dump her problems on him, and he was confirming that he’d have to be the one to clean up after her shitstorm, but he sure as hell didn’t apologize. The episode was about Steven trying to come to terms with his situation, and in the end he did get closer to that goal, but he was obviously still fucked up by the whole ordeal before his family came back.
