Pretty Little Liars 7x20 Til Death Do Us Part - Thoughts

I literally just finished watching the finale and A-List Wrap party right now. I have not seen a single comment about the finale, I don’t know how it was received, at all. Sorry if these comments are just reinforcing what everyone else has been talking about for the past several hours, because again, I have no idea what everyone is saying. Here are my thoughts!

- It did not feel like a series finale to me and I cannot pinpoint why. I felt the goodbye scene at the end was not strong enough. Sasha said that they had to keep re-filming that scene because she was crying too much when she said “this feels like the end of something” - well, I think they went with the take that had not enough emotion, to the point it felt like a regular line and it lost its power. Not just this line, but in general, I never got a sense of “farewell PLL” from this episode, unfortunately. Not saying it’s a bad episode, but, I didn’t get that sense of “thank you and goodbye Spencer, Hanna, Aria, Emily, Alison and Rosewood”.

- Marlene said that there is one question she cannot wait for fans to find out, but she can’t tell us what this question is without telling us who AD is. What the hell could be this question?

- I’ve always said Pretty Little Liars is a two-part show: half a romance show, other half a mystery show. They really demonstrated that tonight, by having almost a very equal divide between the romance and mystery. The entire first hour was romance, and the entire second hour was mystery (plus farewells). The first hour, I was shaking my head. “This is not good. Not good at all.” Sure, there were some cute scenes, like Emison’s proposal, but there was too much fluff in the first half. The second half, it really kicked off.

- So, my theory ended up being so damn accurate, what the hell! I can’t believe it! Even though Spencer’s twin was my foremost suspect going into the finale, I still ended up being shocked, because of the simple fact that they went with it almost exactly exactly exactly how I said! Not just the who, but also the why! I even got the name Alex Drake!

- Okay, so I got the part wrong about the twin having helped Charlotte play the game from season 3 onwards. And honestly, that is my biggest complaint about the finale: AD started playing the game after Charlotte died, period. Again this is my biggest complaint and this is where the finale fell flat for me. Technically, PLL could have ended with Charlotte’s reveal in 610. Everything we got with Alex Drake’s story, was purely an extension because we got renewed for more seasons. I just know there will be people saying “ugh I’m so mad that AD has no connection to pre-time jump” and yes I fully agree, and that’s my biggest complaint too… but my response is: weren't the extra 2 years nice? Sure AD is irrelevant to seasons 1-6A, sure that is incredibly underwhelming and no where near as good as the fan theories… but we got an extra 2 years of PLL in our lives because of this extra, final A story? I’m grateful? #alwayslookingforthepositiveside

- I do not understand Ashley’s comment. Quote “you finally get to find out who A is, who’s been torturing us for the last 7 years”. Girl… it was just a month or two, in Rosewood time.

- Am I the only one who never really felt a sense of danger, or intensity? Weird, since it’s the series finale, and literally anyone could’ve died. It’s not like we had another season, and I knew Spencer was safe from dying. Yet, I never truly did feel like Alex would win the fight. I can’t take PLL villains seriously for some unexplainable reason.

- I really liked the flashbacks that explicitly showed us the scenes where “Spencer” was actually Alex. That was great. I wanted more flashbacks to earlier seasons, however. (I did appreciate that they played some music from the pilot, though!)

- THANK YOU MARLENE for not doing another Charlotte reveal where A sits around crying all episode, trying to make us feel sorry for them. Sure, Alex (nearly said Twincer!) had a sad story, but she embraced her sadness, and it fuelled her anger to take over Spencer’s life. That was really good. I loved seeing Troian walk around with an axe. Bless.

- I was surprised we didn’t hear of Radley (as a sanitarium). Honestly, thank god.

- I think the motive is the strongest we’ve ever had, of all the A’s so far: Alex was so jealous of Spencer so she wanted to break up the girls, yet her threats only made them closer. Therefore, she decided, “why break them up, if I can just become Spencer?” That is so evil and I love it.

- I EVEN CALLED IT that there will be a scene where someone holds a gun to Spencer and Twincer, and they have to prove who the real Spencer is. I LOVED that!

- I have a feeling that once I finish typing this, the first word I’ll be seeing people use to describe the motive is cliche. Especially the above mentioned scene about not knowing which Spencer to shoot. It is a bit cliche. (”I’m Buzz Lightyear!” … “no, I’m Buzz Lightyear!” Toy Story 2.. anyone? That’s where my mind went, lol) An evil, jealous twin is a tad cliche. I can’t defend that. But within this world of PLL, it worked well I guess.

- Sorry Troian, I wasn’t too convinced by the British accent unfortunately. But my gosh you slayed the rest. WHY COULDN’T WE GET AT LEAST ONE SCENE WITH TROIAN IN THE HOODIE!? That was a real shame. I get that it was set one year later, but… still, Alex should’ve wore the hoodie for a scene or two. For satisfaction’s sake, and it’s also just iconic for PLL.

- SHOUTOUT TO A FOLLOWER OF MINE WHO MESSAGED ME AFTER THE AIRPORT SCENE IN 715 SAYING THAT TWINCER SOUNDED BRITISH. HOW DID YOU GET THAT PART TOO!? “Are you going someplace?” sounded very British, I agree, but I never picked it until I was told to listen for it. Genius.

- We even got it right as to who Wren was shooting: Twincer, so that she can look like Spencer. Gosh, is there anything we didn’t predict?

- Bethany who? Eddie who? Seriously though, I’m going to spend hours editing my unanswered questions list. We got a lot. You can say whatever you want about the finale, but you can’t say we didn’t get answers. Like, c’mon. If you’re saying we didn’t get answers, you’re the type of person who complains over nothing and is just impossible to please. Every word that came out of Alex’s mouth was golden. We had rapid fire Q&A with Alex and Spencer. I’m not saying this finale answered 7 years worth of questions; I’ll probably find some unanswered things once I start going through my list. But… You. Can. Not. Say. We. Got. Zero. Answers. I hope that when I finish this post, I don’t see people spreading such stupid negativity.

- Wren died? How? Why? That was unnecessary. This finale really lacked a major death. I wanted to say OMG to at least ONE thing, and unfortunately, I couldn’t. Not one thing shocked me.

- Am I the only one who thought Wren’s involvement seemed a bit forced?? What are the actual odds of Wren running into Alex at a bar in London? Seriously? But whatever. I’m so glad he played a role in this, and a damn big one too.

- So ALEX was the British person Mary was talking to on the phone in 701!!!

- I loved the scene between Alex and Charlotte!!

- I found it really really random that Alex started messaging Mona 1 year later. They had just moved on and all of a sudden Alex is back to start to reveal herself. Maybe I’m forgetting something because that was just weird.

- I was disappointed that there wasn’t a major reason Alex took Ezra. I was waiting for them to reveal a mind blowing alliance between the two but then it slowly became obvious that he had just been kidnapped and wasn’t on the friendly side with Alex.

- Melissa’s mask was just pointless. That was pure fan service to MelissA theorists. (And also to throw us off for a bit.) And I knew Melissa wasn’t AD since there’s no way they’d reveal Uber A so randomly at a picnic like that. I knew it was a mask.

- I got dollhouse vibes when Spencer (or Ezra?) said “we’re still underground”. I thought that was creepy!

- Seriously… they make reference to the mums getting out of the basement, without actually giving us an answer??? “Do you remember how we even got out of there?” said Veronica. It would’ve been better to leave that dialogue out completely. Teasing fans over something they’ll never get, is far worse than acting like it was just forgotten.

- Did Veronica know that Spencer has a twin, since she made a comment in 4B about not knowing who is coming down for breakfast; Spencer or her evil twin? They really made it out as if no one knew about Alex.

- Wren is the father of Emison’s baby!? That was so subtle, the way Alex said it. WHY!? That makes no sense. I’ve noticed that this show is really big on “who” but not so big on the “why”. I’m just going to assume that Wren was the only male she had “access” to, to pull off the stunt, so she used Wren simply out of convenience. That’s all I can think of.

- So Ezria got married, Haleb is having a baby, Emison is engaged with twins, and Spoby is??? I was really really shocked actually that one ship is still left up in the air. It’s not a sad ending, but it’s not happy either. Maybe that’s the one thing that doesn’t get answered that Marlene was talking about.

- That last scene with the recreation of ‘that night’ should NOT have been the last scene of the entire show. If Freeform wants to launch a spinoff, fine, go ahead, but how dare you cut to the end credits after that scene. Call me fussy, but I call it passion. The final scene of the show should have been Mary and Alex stuck in Mona’s dollhouse. Cut to the credits after that closeup on Alex (Which, was brilliant by the way, and aligns with Janel’s comment of Mona having her own unique happy ending.)

- The wrap party was boring. Just saying. It should’ve been the 6 liars (yes Mona too) with Marlene, sitting in Spencer’s barn, talking about the making of the finale, any questions that couldn’t get wrapped up, favourite episodes, etc. I finished the finale and thought “it’s okay, I still have one more chance to farewell the show since the last scene didn’t do it for me!” and nope, this third hour was no better.

- FULL CIRCLE HOW??? Can someone name one thing that happened, that can be classified as “full circle”??? In my mind, full circle means Alison dying and the girls having a sleepover in the barn!?

- Overall, this is how I summarise the finale:

It did not feel like a finale. The first half was boring, even for a series finale. The goodbyes were not strong enough, and I did not feel like I properly said “thank you” and “farewell” to my favourite fictional characters ever. The scene with the girls at the end was far too short. The AD reveal was very predictable for me and other dedicated detectives, but I think other fans across the world will be pleased since it wasn’t actually that obvious. The motive was great. Troian slayed. But, coming from a person who also has a non-rhotic accent (Australian), I felt put off by Alex’s accent. The final scene was just stupid, I’m not watching a spinoff - the final scene should’ve been Mary and Alex. We got a shit ton of answers, but, as I’ll soon see when I go to my list, I don’t feel like it was everything. But absolutely, most things, yes.

In 3 words: slow, predictable, fun.

Here’s my theory where I correctly solved Alex Drake

Here’s my farewell letter

People be like “why is Laurel crying like this.. they dated like 3 weeks”

I don’t know maybe because she’s been the only person besides Annalise to genuine care about Wes and his well being since season 1? The person she always protected and cared for?

You must have been watching another show because Wes wasn’t only a guy she dated for 3 weeks, he was her best friend and confident. Who she happens to fall in love with in that short time and it’s carrying his child, a child that isn’t going to meet his father. Plus she never got to say goodbye to him.

I don’t know about you but Laurel crying and calling people out it’s perfectly fine and fitting for the whole situation.

thank-god-for-gravity  asked:

Hey dear! So let me get this straight! Lana never used the word "finale" in her letter (she used the word "special" instead), Netflix was the only one who used it, right?? Troublemakers as always...

Yeah. Nice try, Netflix. ;) But the word “finale” doesn’t bother me much tbh. Like Lana said, “after that, you never know”. ;) I know chances are very slim that we will be getting a whole new season. But, like Lana said, the impossible already happened once, we got a special. Maybe, if the views keep going up significantly and they are able to reduce the costs, we’ll get another season.

I’ve read somewhere that the Sense8 Facebook page almost doubled their likes since the cancelation, and I keep seeing people on social media talking about how they just started Sense8 and how much they are loving it. Like I said before, I’ve been checking the tags for this show on twitter since before season 1 aired and the feedback from fans has always been VERY positive. I am a 100 % sure this show would be a huge success if Netflix would promote it properly.

I myself have renewed my Netflix subscription and I’ve been rewatching. I’m planning on streaming the show regularly. I know there are other strategies like waiting to subscribe again until the special airs, but I prefer rewatching it regularly and then maybe canceling my subscription again after the special and ask for a third season. We will just kick their asses again if we have to.

Another loose thread to pull at.

Where were they going with this? To me it felt like they were gonna use this, since they mentioned the credit twice…

But like the TD12 and loads of other things it’s just never mentioned again.

During The Six Thatchers I thought it was build up for Moriarty’s return. Like in The Reichenbach Fall episode when Sherlock got all the attention and became a celebrity, and THEN Moriarty made his move.

But yeah, unless we get The Lost Special to fix all the loose ends I’ll just have to accept that season 4 is a mess -_-*

And by the way, when will John update his blog?
Brendan's interview with ET made me so happy

He confirmed that the finale will have LOTS of flashbacks, and that we don’t just get to hear answers, but actually see answers, and that they’ll lay it all out for us.

He also confirmed that this AD story has been planned from the start. He agreed that Charlotte’s story seemed a bit random and less planned than ideal, and that “middle A” was a result of Freeform renewing the show for too many seasons. Now that middle A is done, we’re back on course to see “end A” , or Uber A/AD, who they’ve known since the beginning. He said clues have been placed as early as seasons 2 and 3, and the word he used to describe the finale is “satisfying”, even for fans of 7 long painful years.

He also said that he found out who AD is a couple weeks before the table read, because another cast member told him. He said that it didn’t make sense when he just got a name! The identity of AD alone never made sense, until he found out the why, at the table read. We heard a similar reaction with Ian, who said “I don’t buy this”. It took Ian 24 hours to digest it. Bethany Young??? Another supposedly dead character?? That could explain why it never made sense to Brendan at first. Imagine being told a dead character is alive and was actually pulling the strings the whole time!?

Some good info, thanks Brendan! The first part about flashbacks has me most excited. I’m so glad they’re going to lay it all out for us and make references/links to past seasons for us, rather than just dropping bombshells and expecting us to go make the links. Just like in 714 when they showed that scene of Mary creeping up on Spencer in 423. We need more flashbacks like that!

So I binged s5 and s6 of scandal and to go from the olake we got in s5 to s6 was so jarring. Then when get another go round withol*tz and they never talked about what happened between them. Jake's still married so I don't even know what's going on with olake. What are your thoughts on olake for s6? I mean there may not be much since there was so little. I do love that moment when Liv says "whatever happens we'll figure it out." And Jake says, "we always do don't we." I maybe quoting that wrong.

I think pretty much everything you need to know about Olake in season 6 happens in this scene:

Before that, Jake is playing along with what Olivia wants but he’s emotionally distant and resents her while also trying to actually inhabit his role as a loving husband, which bothers Olivia

Her speech to him in 6x05 was more like a plea and I think an unspoken apology/explanation of what she sacrificed

He can’t hate her because there is a higher purpose to what she’s doing, there has to be, there has to be a reason that she put herself down this path, that she destroyed them and Jake’s gaze

is one of understanding. And he’s on her side from that point forward so season 6 Olake is about being a team, about serving that higher purpose, making that sacrifice worth it

Olitz … that felt like a parentheses, a footnote, closure, something that they both wanted to end without the crying and the screaming, they’re both moving on, they both want different things, one last hurrah. Even when Olivia said she was going to ask Fitz to stay, that felt like she was asking for a fantasy to not end, it didn’t feel like asking HIM to stay so that’s my POV on this.

I’m aware I am not a fancy Hollywood TV Show/ Moviemaking individual but y'all need to GET ON OUR LEVEL!!!! I’ve read more gratifying PLL fanfiction during one of my half-baked college all-nighters.

This LAST episode was hyped up to be the answer key to 7 seasons worth of questions.  haha….Sure, Marlene! You’ve never let me down before!!! (eye roll)

Shouldn’t the last season gradually answer all the questions of the past 6 seasons???? Making the last episode reveal the biggest shocker of them all. Instead, there was a brand new plot line that added a shit ton of more questions!!!! Of course, all the NEW questions got ANSWERED!  But what about the questions everyone invested however many previous YEARS wondering about! Instead, we got answers to some subplot that came last minute!

ANDDDD It took these bitches under two minutes to figure out about Spencer’s evil twin! They had no substantial evidence! But F%$K IT! We should take the word of a blind girl (that we’ve never trusted), a horse, and an ex-boyfriend! When it took them how many years to figure out who A was?

4. Alison

Alison was the O.G. bitch of the series. She started evil and now she’s all the sudden reformed? Ever heard of the saying “Keep your friends close and enemies closer!” Ali could have been playing all of them with her good girl act

5. Emily

Emily was the least suspect of all the liars. She is the most mellow of all of them. She could have had the plot to revenge Maya ( BTW, still sitting here waiting for the OFFICIAL word of who killed homegirl!)  She could have thought her friends had something to do with her death. Or maybe she just wanted to manipulate Ali into being with her by putting her through a series of unfortunate events?

Lesson: I’m not sure. But it would have made for a way better ending.

Not an official Liar, but I will give her a pass which is more than the girls have ever done for her!

The liars have always done Mona dirty! (with the exception of Hanna, but she even had her limits) Using her at their convenience but never accepting her as part of their group. The list is endless on why she would be A.D.

You’re both Idols who play love interests in a Romantic Drama(SEVENTEEN)

S.Coups: -It was both of your big breaks on a television program being young Idols meant this could make or break your acting careers. You guys were playing in a typical modern day Romeo and Juliet without all the death. The pair of you worked extremely well and the producers saw you two playing in more things together. What's coming in season 2

Spoilers ahead for all of season 1!

Now that the first season is all wrapped up,I’m thinking ahead, predicting what’ll happen from here on out after the hiatus. I’m mostly relying on foreshadowing from episodes 22 through 24.

  • We can expect future appearances from Prince Ali. I suspect he’ll play a role similar to that of Jagged Stone in the first season, showing up in several different episodes.
  • We’ll find out more about Gabriel Agreste’s backstory, as well as that of Adrien’s mom. Gabriel already knows Adrien is Chat Noir, and so this will develop their relationship.
  • I’m seriously doubting that Gabriel is Hawkmoth; it would be too obvious. I suspect that by the end of season 2, Hawkmoth will be defeated, and likely replaced with a new main villain, to prevent the storyline from becoming too repetitive. Even if Hawkmoth isn’t defeated, though, we’ll be able to expect an actual appearance from him in person.
  • We can expect to learn more about the histories of the Miraculouses and the Kwamis. I suspect Master Fu will become a recurring character.
  • Now that everyone in the class has been akumatized, we can expect a new group of recurring characters to become villains—most likely, Adrien and Marinette will end up in a new class for the next school year. With Marinette’s luck, Chloé will be there too.
  • Things with Volpina will be…interesting. She’s absolutely coming back again (that much was made clear), and I suspect she’ll eventually join Ladybug and Chat Noir. She’s got a lot of character development to go through first, though; she’s got to learn to stop lying and to care more about others. Since everything’s going wrong for her, this is necessary, and her line about “we will never be friends” is absolutely setup for that plot twist.
  • Ladybug and Chat Noir might actually get together. It might at first seem unlikely, since there will be future seasons, but it’s still perfectly possible for the story to be interesting even if that element is changed. Judging by all the close calls they’ve had in season 1, there’s no way they can reasonably keep their secret identities hidden for another full season.
  • Ladybug and Volpina will not get together. Thanks, mass societal heteronormativity. Welcome to shipping hell.

Good, good, good, good, good.

I’m gonna focus on all the good things, like the balance between this constricting end of the world (end of Dean) atmosphere and the positive, familial bond reaffirming ending. Just before the actual ending, which, since it included Mary, does leave me on a “yes excited!” note. I’m also super happy about Amara. Thanks SPN for that resolution!

Also European MOL being tired of Americans fucking things up amuses pretty much every European I bet. (At least it greatly amuses this European.)

And Cas was so careful and gentle with Dean and Sam. I’m not sure why he didn’t get to interact with Chuck or why he didn’t kiss Dean, but hey, another season, another chance.

(And since Dean got to meet Castiel’s dad, it’s only fair that Cas gets to meet Dean’s mom now. I approve. I mean, holy hell, I generally approve. I’ve waited for Mary to come back since forever but I never thought we would get it. Thanks Amara for your great gift just in time for Dean and Cas’ wedding. I will now always love you.)

Do you ever feel like the writers missed out on a huge arc for Sam's character in Season 7 regarding his time in the pit with Lucifer? I know that they showed him being tortured by the hallucinations, but it still felt like they glossed over important things. It was heavily implied that Sam was raped by Lucifer (both mind and body) and the writers just acted like it wasn't that important. He could have had a lot more character development and it feels like a waste...

content warning for references to rape and noncon situations

Sam’s post-hell arc got as much attention as you could expect up until 7.17. The writers pretty implicitly acknowledged that Sam was raped and tortured in both seasons 6 and 7 [more on Sam and Lucifer here].

I have this feeling that Lydia probably liked him during 3B, that moment with the string seemed so significant to me and so did the 'because of stiles?' from aiden. He seemed to make fun of the picture frame when they were in his room and then she suddenly felt jealous, almost like he knows Lydia and Stiles have this thing between them and he can't do anything about it..what are your thoughts?

Honestly in my opinion, I feel like it’s been building since season 1 at the formal. The very first time we get a glance of the real Lydia is when Stiles is yelling at her to get her cute little ass up and dance with him.

We see this little disbelieving almost embarrassed smile on her face and then she goes to dance with him. From that point on there are dozens of moments that I feel show the two of them building a connection. There’s the little non-date at the ice skating rink before Lydia get’s all screamy where she sort of rolls her eyes and takes Stiles hand and they’re skating together and talking.

Then of course there’s Stiles’ underlining devotion to Lydia throughout the seasons.

And I think the season 2 finale was a big one because even though Lydia still loved Jackson, she sought out Stiles. I always found that significant.

I imagine a great deal of the friendship/connection they built happened off screen between Season 2 and Season 3A because by the time we came back in 3A Stiles and Lydia were pretty close. All the times they walk together, how she goes to Stiles and lets him help her, how he comes and goes from her house. Even when she was with other people, she was still extremely close to Stiles.

Then there was the kiss and I think it was an impulse thing, like she saw him freaking out and figured the kiss would shock him out of it, but what I don’t think she expected was to feel something also. Like she always knew things were different with Stiles ever since the dance, but she never knew she could feel those kinds of things from him until the kiss.

And of course Deaton’s ritual. That was another big thing. Lydia is Stiles’ grounding force, and he’s hers.

I think 3B was probably the most significant season for Stydia. They counted on each other a lot and we got to see just how connected they were. The fact that the other characters made note of their closeness is significant as well.

The fact that Lydia could literally feel what Stiles was going through is important too. She’s felt things before, but she doesn’t have that connection to anyone else in the pack.

And Aiden, I think he’s known for a while that Stiles has feelings for Lydia which was one of the reasons he never liked him and why he mocked the picture in his bedroom. But I don’t think he realized Lydia had feelings for Stiles until the episode Stiles went missing. I think that was the moment Aiden realized Lydia cared about Stiles as much as he did her even if she didn’t realize it.

His comment to Derek about Lydia not leaving because of Stiles was telling and I doubt it would be thrown in the dialogue for no reason.

Then you need to look at season 4. All of the Stalia moments when they’re with the pack, the camera almost always pans over to Lydia’s face to show her reaction to Stiles and Malia. That’s a deliberate move in my opinion.

I’ll say what I’ve been saying a lot lately. I think despite my crazy dislike for Malia, everything happens for a reason. Stiles pined after Lydia for close to three seasons. It wasn’t until the middle of season 3A that he started taking Lydia off the pedestal he had her on, which is a good thing. Because two people can’t be in a successful healthy relationship unless they’re equals and that was never going to happen until Stiles stopped looking at Lydia like some perfect prize and started looking at her like a regular person, just like him.

Season 1 Stiles never would have yelled or snarked back at Lydia. But season 3 Stiles is comfortable enough with her to banter and discuss and get angry with and that’s all good.

That being said it’s Lydia’s turn to realize her feelings for Stiles and be the one who needs to wait a bit and get herself together so that when it’s time for Stydia she’s ready.

I think Stalia is a necessary stepping stone to Stydia, as much as I dislike the couple, Stiles needs the relationship experience and just because you date someone in high school it doesn’t mean it lasts forever. Sometimes what you need right now isn’t the same thing as what you’ll always need, if that even makes sense LoL.

So yes, that is my very long winded opinion haha, sorry about that! <3

“And before Rachel got married to Quinn”

3. Faberry (Quinn Fabray and Rachel Berry)

Quinn Fabray and Rachel Berry had a very Kurtofsky-esque relationship that really needed some thinking to appreciate. But, I do want to point out that once you understand their chemistry you will never regret it and will end up thanking yourself for reading between the lines the entire time. Ever since season one we saw Quinn bully Rachel for no apparentreason yet as soon as Rachel could help her out, she did so. Over time the two had their fair share of hatred for one another but eventually they always looked out for the other. When Quinn was in her car crash Rachel cared more about that than her actual wedding and pretty much felt so guilty that she couldn’t do it without her, even though she had no idea about the car crash at this point in time. And before Rachel got married to Quinn we saw the blonde regretfully hear the announcement and, in a deleted scene, she is the only one to tell Rachel about how much potential she has and how much of a waste it is for her to marry Finn so soon. Faberry may not be a romantic ship on the show but the two had a chemistry that nobody could deny. Their friendship blossomed into a beautiful creation that, knowing Glee’s track record, was rightfully ended by simply not being brought up again.

I hate how we're clumped as dissatisfied, entitled fangirls making a big stink from 1character's death, so we jump the ship into another for that 1actor. This movement is beyond 1character, 1show, 1actor. It's about people. (And add shadyasfuck fan engagement that bled directly into our lives and sent everyone into a mental/emotional tailspin.) I watched TWD/FTWD/GoT before 1oo, and after 309, I've never been as appalled by gratuitous deaths in quick succession. Whats even the story anymore?

I will say it again and keep repeating it forever: this is not about Lexa dying. I was one of the people who insisted she was going to die since before the season aired. It’s how they did it, when they did it, and how they handled everything that lead up to it and the fall out after that has been beyond appalling.

Bonnie and Damon Season 7

Bamon was so strong last night, you could tell Plec wrote all their scenes, actually after Caroline Dries interviews you can tell which scenes she wrote verses what Plec wrote. The amount of Parallels we got for Bonnie and Damon last night were unreal. The Bodyguard parallels was hands down the best, Damon truly looked like a hero for the first time on this show, it took him six years to get to this point, his amazing development has been because of Bonnie Bennett, look at what we got with one season of a building friendship with Bamon verses what we got with Delena for five years, Damon has development way more in this season than he has the past five. This is what excites me for season 7, because I’m a fan of the characters before the ship, so Damon’s character development is a bit more important than Bamon at least at the moment since it’s actually happening and it’s been so overdue.
I don’t like to listen to Caroline Dries because this woman is always off when it comes to anything that’s happening on this show, she says one thing and Plec says another, they are never on the same page. But I’ll talk about her TVLine and THR interviewers since people are already freaked. Keep in mind the writers are still writing 7x01, so nothing is off or on the tables right now.

“so she’s going to grab the bull by the horns and be awesome Bonnie Bennett. She’ll start up a fun friendship with Damon, a continuation of what they have now, but she’ll kind of become his moral center as he’s trying to figure out who he is without Elena to impress.” Dries about Bonnie and Bamon
“He’s got to be with himself for a bit, and his love story will be based back on Stefan” about whether Damon will jump into a relationship soon.
“It’s not like he’s going to start sleeping around or having girlfriends. He needs to grieve, and see who he is. Any girl we set him up with, or we tried to force him into a new relationship with, the fans would just hate it — hate her, for sure — so it would just never click. We’re very much aware of that, and we don’t want to see that either.” - To THR on future romantic for Damon
“So we’re going to let Bonnie continue to be her badass self she’s evolved into this season. She’ll have a closeness with Damon. They’re going to remain friends, but he’s going to rub off on her a bit. It’ll be fun to watch them together” On Bonnie in season 7 and Bamon

All this was from Caroline Dries about Damon and Bonnie for next season. This is what I want, the writers wants to reset the show, everyone is going into season 7 single, Damon, Alaric, Stefan, Bonnie, Caroline and even Matt. The season is going to open up with what looks like Mystic Falls turned into a wasteland, and Lily is the big bad for the season. Like Ian said next season will be dark, sexy and edgy, Damon isn’t going to hop into another relationship so quickly, with all this going on with his mom and vampwitch family, and he just put his girlfriend in a coffin lol. What’s important is that Dries will continue Bamon relationship, what’s important is they aren’t going to let Damon wait for Elena for 100 years or whatever. What’s even more important is that he’ll have a storyline that isn’t about chasing some girl, he’ll have a self discovery. Damon development is so important to me because it’s something that was always pushed to the side because of his romantic relationships.
But while Damon is on this road to redemption I of course want to see Bonnie party it up next season without Elena, girls night with Caroline, I want Bonnie have some no strings attached  relationships after being tied down to Jeremy for so long, she should have some fun, and of course I want to see jealous Damon, who thinks no man is good enough for Bonnie  Bennett, except for him. Knowing that the writers and the CW are pushing for more seasons of tvd, makes it’s clear they’ll hold out on Bamon, chances are they’ll develop them similar to Klaus and Camille from The Originals and even Arrows Felicity and Oliver Queen I mean the forehead kiss was like so them, so Bamon will be a slow burn and still beautiful.
