Miraculous Ladybug Theme - FRENCH Full
Miraculous Ladybug Theme - FRENCH Full

This is a long ass rant about how much I fucking love this song and if you are into Miraculous as much as I am, you will agree with every point I make here.

So ever since I heard the dual version of the French and English one together, I’ve been hyperventilating. I am so much in love with the French version that I just don’t even. Like, nothing against the English dubbing, but there’s something SO SEXY AND SO SINFUL ABOUT THIS SONG IN FRENCH. LIKE WHAT THE FUCK MAN.

So, she starts off the song that’s all, OH I’M JUST AN ORDINARY GIRL NAMED MARINETTE - I HAVE NO OBVIOUS SIGNS OF BEING THE MOST BADASS HEROINE IN THE HISTORY OF ALL FRENCH, KOREAN, AMERICAN, WHATSOEVER LIFE. But then she’s Ladybug and she’s so beautiful and wonderful and sassy and confident and not like any other girl - she’s just so damn badass it makes me want to punch myself in the face she’s awesome. Like I want to be like her, but I have no coordination left in me to do all her acrobats.

AND THEN SHE’S ALL, OH CHAT NOIR IS NO ANGEL. As Adrien, he is totally an angel that I want to squish. AND SHE SAYS HE’S IN HER HEART??????? MY GOD. BUT AS CHAT NOIR? OH HELL NAW. Like, he is the most sinful thing ever with his innuendos and his puns and his flirting and his winking and his mrawrs and smirks. MY GOD. I just want to eat him up. But I ship him so hard with Ladybug/Marinette and they are most least problematic ship in the world in the fact that THERE IS NO ONE ELSE. NO ONE. IT’S JUST THEM IN A LOVE SQUARE AND THAT IS SO DAMN REFRESHING TO ME.

Then you get to Chat Noir’s part and I don’t know why, but the voice for him in this song is so hot and so yummy and I just wanna curl up and suffocate on my lust for this voice. Especially when he’s all “I’m Chat Noir” with that French SHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHAT NOERRRRRRRRRRRR. And he’s all, I’m no bad cat - I fight for the good like YOU DO, LADYBUG. AND THAT HE WILL FIGHT DESPERATELY??!!?! YAS. AND THEN HE’S ALL IM SCARED TO LOVE IN VAIN BECAUSE THE ONE HE LOVES CAN’T LOVE HIM BECAUSE SHE HAS TO BE LADYBUG AND CARRY OUT HER DESTINY. Why you gotta make me hurt in all the ways, FRENCH THEME SONG? PLUS, at the END OF CHAT’S PART, he’s all RAWRING and then belting OUT THESE AMAZING TOP 40s R&B “MIRAAACUUULOUS” notes like it’s some power ballad. LIKE WHAT THE HELL.

I’ve listened to this song like 15 times while I’ve written this out and I would also like to point out that the person who sings Marinette’s part is so fresh - like her voice could make the world better if she sang everything. ESPECIALLY ALL THE ‘ah ah ah’s. Like come on. COUPLED WITH THE GUY’S “OOOOOOOOOOOOH”s and “OOOOH, LADYBUUUUUUUUUG”s.

-chokes- I’m done.

a/n: at this point I might just be playing with you haha… and would like to remind you that I don’t speak korean and have never taken lessons whatsoever.

Okay, you may or may not have heard about the new “All American” Kpop group EXP Edition. The group’s been getting a bunch of mixed reactions so I guess I’ll put my two cents in?? Idk…

It doesn’t matter if you’ve been loving them, hating them or just plain don’t care about them. You can’t deny the fact that it’s kind of confusing and cringey hearing them sing in an industry you’ve rarely seen people of their skin colours (I’m from Canada, we like our “U’s”) sing in. People are getting hella riled up about this, but I don’t personally mind it much….No I have problems with other things, but we’ll get to that later.

While yes, I did find it kind of weird in the beginning, I didn’t have that much of a problem with it tbh…I think of it as “Hey, if Korean artists can have an American debut, then why can’t other ethnicities do the same in Korea?” BUT THAT’S ALSO WHERE MY PROBLEM LIES WITHIN THIS GROUP.

See, my problem wasn’t their Skin Colour or the song itself, it was the amount of effort they put into “debuting”.

Trainees are treated like absolute shit before they debut and so many of them have to endure so much just to be able to get that spot. What pissed me off was that EXP literally prances into the scene with no credible background whatsoever as well as KOREABOO. SOUNDING. KOREAN. It’s such a slap to the face for the trainees. In kpop you DON’T JUST DEBUT WITHOUT HARDWORK. YOU DEBUT because you’ve proven yourself “worthy” enough for that spot through work ethic and PROPER TRAINING.

And I know people are arguing that “Hey, not all Kpop stars have good English 1! 1! We don’t make fun of them!! SOMEHOW IT’S OKAY WHEN ASIANS DON’T SPEAK ENGLISH, BUT NOT OKAY WHEN EXP DOESN’T SPEAK KOREANNNN!

I shit you not, I’ve seen comments like this…Smh..

Yes, Kpop Idols don’t have the best English, but that’s because THEY AIN’T OBLIGATED TO unlike EXP who made the decision to work in an industry where they’re REQUIRED to learn Korean….I know you might still have an accent, but achieveing better prononciation is achievable mon amis… Like tbh, do we even know if they can speak Korean at all and not just sing Korean?? How much you wanna bet they were reading romanticized lyrics:’))

Also, that damn dry choreo can go. That’s all I have to say.

I’m just saying that if they’re actually serious about taking on this thing, then they should at least know the ropes, mah gawd…I need to see more hustle. K-pop is NOT the American Pop industry, therefore it in-turn shouldn’t be treated as the American Pop industry.

If you wanna survive, then you have to learn how to adapt yourself to the environment. You can’t just run into battle without a strategy because 90% of the time it’s going to end in a disaster.

K-pop is a difficult plattform and I just hope that they understand that. It isn’t right for them to just waltz right in barely knowing anything about what they’re doing other than singing and dancing. Being an idol in the K-pop industry requires so much more…..It’s much more than just medicore dance moves and beat drops….Best luck to them though I guess??

AAAAANYWAYS, what do you guys think about this?? I find it extremely amusing to read all the comments about this😂I’ve heard that the group is just an Experiment from a sociologist though so I think that makes the whole situation definitely more intriguing…

  • Jiyong: today when I woke up I was so confused that I couldn't remember any korean whatsoever so I panicked and screamed 'BUT I DON'T KNOW HOW TO SPEAK FRENCH! ' in English

But if being a different race/ethnicity and doing kpop is appropriative, what about groups where members aren’t all Korean? Blackpink? KARD?

It’s much deeper than that. there’s a way to do kpop and NOT be appropriative and there’s a “wrong” way to do it. People have already explained why it’s different for non Korean Asian people to be and kpop and people who have no ties whatsoever. It’s more than just “you’re not Korean so you’re appropriating automatically” there’s nuance and it depends on the situation.

But even then nobody is really barring non-Asian people from kpop as far as I know. From what I’m seeing, they just want people to go about it in a respectful manner. Which is understandable.

my bigbang concert experience

i’ve been to the made final in seoul on march 6th, 2016 (yes that’s already a long time ago but i’m lazy and so many people asked me about the concert, so here we go!)

getting the tickets

getting our concert tickets was so damn hard. during the time they were sold, i was still in korea and asked my korean friends to try getting them for me. yg sold them at auction, a website you could only use if you have a korean address, a korean bank account and a korean phone number. which totally sucks, thanks to yg at this point. as you can imagine, none of my friends could get any tickets cause literally EVERYONE tried to get them. there were 3 concerts in total and all of the tickets were sold out after 10 MINUTES. i heard about people selling tickets online on websites like twitter, but i saw so many complaints about fake tickets, so i didn’t even try it there. i was quite desperate after a while so i asked on tumblr if anyone could help me getting tickets and one of my followers recommended me a virtual korean concierge service called ask ajumma. you can message them on facebook and they get you anything you want - as long as you are residing in korea. at first i was quite suspicious but everything worked really well. i paid a lot more than for the tickets sold at auction, but that’s simply cause people buy a lot of tickets and sell them for much more money. i got seats on the 2nd floor directly in front of the stage. i can’t complain cause to me, any bigbang concert tickets is a good ticket haha

day 1

i only got tickets for the 3rd day but still, me and my friend went to the olypmic gymnastics hall, which was the concert venue, at 11pm. even though the concert started at 6pm, there were already so many vips, some of them even dressed up as cosplayers! there were banners and flags with the members faces literally everywhere, so it already got very exciting for us. we started queuing up for the merchandise and after 2 hours in the sun, we finally bought all the stuff we wanted! next to the tent with merch there was even a truck from yq republique where you could buy food and several other tents with stuff in it. also, there were speakers everywhere so you could listen to bigbang’s songs. after a while, nobody cared anymore about that music, cause you could hear that the boys started rehearsing. that was the first time i heard their voices and it was soooooo damn exciting! i remember them rehearsing lies and my heaven several times. also, the member’s individual fan pages were giving away some stuff for free - photo cards, banners and fan signs!

day 2

unlike day 1, the weather on day 2 was terrible. it was raining all the time, but still there were so many vips! my friend and me also went to the venue on that day cause we didn’t get the made photobook on the first day. so we went back, got our books and left quickly

day 3 - CONCERT DAY!

okay, this was by far the most emotional day ever. all dressed up in bigbang merch, we went to the last concert day - our concert day. i have never been more excited in my entire life. we saw some staff members filming and interviewing fans - for the dvd and the made movie. they filmed us several times and now i’m afraid that i’ll end up on dvd haha. before going in, we got those signs which we were holding up during bae bae saying big bang is my everything in korean. when all of the fans were in the concert hall, shit got crazy. they started repeating all of their most popular music videos and everyone freaked out and started singing along. then, the last music video came on - fantastic baby. the crowd absolutely LOST THEIR SHIT. the vips were singing along so loudly that they had to use the actual speakers for the actual concert with bass boosting and everything! only thinking back about this part gives me goosebumps. the crowd was totally pumped up and suddenly, the made trailer with the super long bang bang bang intro started playing. shit was about to go down. the stage opened, they guys appeared and taeyang screamed HANGUK, ARE YOU READY? at us. and damn, i was so fucking ready for this. listening to them opening their concert also still gives me chills. the concert itself was amazing. their voices are so much better in real life (and also, they look so good irl lol)! my favouite solo stages were strong baby - cause DAMN, seungri knows how to get the crowd pumped up! - and fucking doom dada. that one killed me. i might be a bit biased, but top doing the runway thing in front of your own eyes and then totally freaking out after MASS MEDIA is simply amazing. after every solo song, the crowd was screaming the member’s name for a minute straight. even during daesung’s entire drum solo during sober, every person in the hall was screaming KANG DAESUNG from the top of their lungs. it was simply awesome. the vips were all screaming the same fan chants, the same parts of the song and also started singing my heaven all at once. you’re just part of that one big group, no matter if you’re korean, chinese, american, german or whatsoever! the guys did some talks and starting tearing up at some point, but everything was fine again once they got their cake lol. Again, we were all holding up fansigns and the paper saying big bang is my everything. they ended the concert with we like 2 party with confetti and doing some fan services. then, they left the stage and let’s not fall in love started playing.

we thought we’d never get to see the guys again, but then i saw a group of chinese girls running around the concert hall and got curious, so we ended up following them. there were some fences and a lot of black cars standing there, so we waited with a bunch of fans. suddenly, we saw psy, dara and yg leaving the concert venue! we waited quite a lot and were about to leave, when also the guys were leaving the concert hall. daesung was the first one to get out. he was wearing his black and yellow coat and looked sooo good! he was smiling happily and waved. seungri was the second and he was also waving at us before getting into his car, same goes for taeyang. when gd came out, he was holding a huge inflatable light stick and came reeeeeeeally close to the waiting fans, and by close i mean “a few cm” close! it took top a while to get out, but when he did i kind of died. when you see him on pictures he’s always really good-looking. but when you see him in real life, smiling and waving at you - i swear, that dude is sex on legs. excuse my choice of words, but he’s so much more handsome than you can ever imagine. it’s just … stunning. then they were all gone, we were completely done and this is how the best day of my life ended!

sorry for this really long post, i hope that maybe some of you have read this!

Hi! Your blog is a big help! I have a question. I'm 18 and I recently got involved in with the Korean culture and I'm wanting to learn Korean. If you don't mind me asking, how did you start learning and do you have any tips for someone who knows no Korean whatsoever. Thank you so much and keep up the amazing work!💕

well if you know NOTHING then you should go learn hangul and start some kind of online grammar course (I think ttmik’s grammar lessons are good for beginners)

but then after that, it depends on what your goals are, because ‘learning korean’ can mean so many different things. you need to approach the language initially with a short-term goal in mind, otherwise you won’t actually be able to use what you learn and will lose interest quickly. ‘fluency’ is not a feasible goal for a beginner and is too unspecific (because what does fluency even mean?)

if you’re interested in dramas and you’d like to understand the kind of stuff in drama scripts then you should find those scripts and take notes on the words/expressions you hear most often popping up in dramas.

if you’re thinking about going on a vacation to Korea soon obviously the words and expressions you’d want to learn would be completely different.

just because you choose one goal doesn’t mean you can’t get a different one later on.

I don’t really believe in beginner language courses (particularly for those studying outside of Korea) because you’ll just end up learning vocab that you can’t apply to anything in your life, so you’ll just forget it.

when I first started learning Korean I would get my vocabulary from epik high and nell songs (mostly words used to describe abstract concepts or in poetry). It kept me interested and helped me recognize those words later when I heard them in other songs. then i started planning to study in Korea and I switched my goal (to korean I can use to talk about school work, make friends in korea, apply for scholarships, etc). now I’m studying to become a translator which has changed my goal again (to korean used in advanced academic papers, literature, court rooms, international conferences, etc).

my advice for learning Korean specifically is to refrain from equating Korean vocab/grammar/pronunciations exactly to vocab/grammar/pronunciation in your native language. unless you know Japanese grammar or Chinese vocabulary, most things in Korean will be new concepts to you. you just have to accept that there’s no EXACT equivalent and try to get a feel for the meaning as time goes on.

The most ironic thing in the kpop fandom is definitely how they claim that the music is superior to american pop but the companies (and the industry as a whole) are flooded with american composers and choreographers. EXO’s Growl is composed solely by americans as well as its beloved dance, for instance. The only reason why you think that american music is trash is because you didn’t search enough whatsoever.

omg your tags though, key posting their conversation on instagram was epic, and that time when they act like a married couple in one of the fansign, someone just shoot me they are so adorable

Considering the ratings do you think they'll cancel moon lovers?

Guidelines for Moon Lovers fans who are panicking because of ratings:

  • Don’t worry about SBS canceling the drama. The only reason why TV networks sometimes cut down episodes is to spare production costs because the dramas are still filming, but Moon Lovers are fully pre-produced, therefore they can’t spare any money, only gain them from broadcasting rights, and this is always about money. It would be much more costly for SBS if they cut it and had to find new content for the broadcast time. There has never been a drama that has been completely cancelled.
  • Don’t be sad about the ratings, there were dramas with much worse ratings.
  • And don’t even bother about the backlash. Remember the hit Moon That Embraces the Sun? There were so many mistakes in that drama, the editing was terrible, the main actress could barely act and had zero chemistry with the male lead, there were porcelain pieces with “MADE IN CHINA” written on them, the camera crew could be seen in every second scene,…. and the Korean audience clearly gave a damn about it as it got ratings close to 50%. There is no logic whatsoever in the preference of the Korean viewers.
  • Plus the show is sold to so many countries and they get loads of money from that. I mean this is the first drama since the Hallyu wave started that got to be simulcasted!
  • And finally you don’t need to be sad BECAUSE MOON LOVERS ARE HUGE INTERNATIONALLY. I have never seen such download numbers on Avistaz for a sageuk and can’t remember that any sageuk would be THIS POPULAR ON TUMBLR! And each day the popularity grows. People LOVE THIS SHOW AND THE STORY. SO DON’T BE DOWNCAST, DON’T PANIC, STAY CALM AND LOVE THE MOON LOVERS :-)

. "We’re finally here!“ you cheered, giddy to the fact that you’re at your hometown. Other people passed the two of you, rustling through to get to their destinations of the airport. Not distracting Leo’s troubled state of mind

Leo’s grip on the handle of his suitcase tightened due to his nervousness. You spotted this and smiled a little.

"Yah Taekwoon, it’s going to be okay, mmm?” Your reassuring words didn’t really affect him, his mind still focused on how to make a perfect impression on your parents. You hooked your arm with his dragging him to a taxi.

With several minutes to think about what Leo can do, the taxi’s stop made his heart thump profusely, making his face flush with redness. You came out of the car with your handbag and waited for your boyfriend to come out as well.

The taxi driver hastily got out to give you two your suitcase. You thanked the driver and gave him the rightfully earned money. Leo’s shaky sigh brought your attention to him. You took his clammy hands in yours and gave it a reassuring squeeze. He looked down at you and cracked a smile, feeling just a little better.

You both walked to the front porch of your parents’ house and pushed the door bell button. You rose to your tiptoes and kissed Leo’s rosy cheeks. The door flew open, revealing your mother with a huge grin. “(Name)! You’re here!” Your mom enveloped you in a hug, leaving Leo just standing there. She mumbled a few things into your ear about how much she missed you.

Letting you go, her eyes averted to Leo, who was almost ready to pass out of fear. “Well, if it isn’t the famous Taekwoon we’ve heard of. Aren’t you a handsome fella.” Your mother patted his shoulder, oh how we wanted to hide so bad. The heat of his face was clearly visible and he was wondering how hasn’t fainted.

Your pushed him inside the house before your mother can embarrass him even more, which he was quietly thankful for. Leo spotted your dad with his arms crossed, watching Leo every move. Leo quickly made his way to your dad and greeted him.

"Nice to meet you, sir. I’m Jung Taekwoon.“ Leo’s English was getting gradually better thanks to you who has taught him a lot.

Your mother and you observed this situation closely, since your dad wasn’t too happy his daughter already close to marrying off. Leo offered his hand to your dad but he didn’t take it.

"Sweetie, don’t be rude. Take the boy’s hand.” Your mother scolded.

Your dad sighed and took it quickly before retreated his hand. You dragged Leo to the couch and your parents following behind. You were talking to him about how long you lived here and your childhood. Your parents observed you two and realized how quiet Leo is.

“I’m not too sure about this boy, he makes me uncomfortable.” Your father muttered to your mom. Your mother smiled warmly, “It takes time honey, (Name) did tell me he’s a very timid boy.” “How about I get you both something to drink?” Your mom offered and you nodded. Your dad sat on the other couch, closely watching you two. Leo smiled at the stories you told him, he added some comments and you laughed loudly. You hugged him tightly, telling him some things. Your father smiled a bit at the interactions. Maybe he wasn’t too bad.

Your mother came back with drinks and a few snacks. “Mom, I’m going to show him where the bathroom’s at.” you told her and turned to your dad, smiling.

You dragged Leo upstairs, pulling him to a secluded area. “I think they like you!” You giggled, swinging both of your arms. Leo grinned, hoping that was true.

“I was so nervous (Name), I thought I was going to faint.” He said, putting his head on your shoulder for support. You kissed his hair, laughing a little. “Your magic wonders worked.”

“Possibly?” He went along. Your parents were on the stairwell, eavesdropping. “Two more days babe, it won’t be bad. I’m absolutely sure they like you.” You gave him a kiss on the lips, winking. Your parents had no clue what you were saying due to no Korean skills whatsoever. “I think he’s a keeper. He makes my baby girl happy.” Your dad mumbled, but your mom caught it, smiling crazily.

Yes!!!! And people don't even acknowledge that Yixing is tired!! He looked liked he could pass out at mamas! They keep on talking about the other members (hinting to people talking about Chanyeol traveling to and from China for his drama) - But Yixing has been all over this year!!! People keep forgetting all the damn effort he has put into promoting with and without exo (while ALWAYS promoting exo)! It makes me so mad!! (I'm sorry about the slightly angry message - but I felt your post)

people only acknowledge yixing when they wanna accuse him of something tbh. they don’t care about his poor health or his busy schedule. evn w the mamas - i saw ppl commenting how it was “rude” how uninterested he was and tht he looked like he “had a bad attitude” when the korean members got no backlash whatsoever!! nobody looked interested lbr and kai was literally sleeping at one point i mean!!! nobody said anything, that was cute 2 them. but theres such a double standard for yixing he can hardly breathe w/o some1 saying he’s spreading germs to the korean members n getting them sick n some evil chinese plot to leave the group.

and god ppl go to extremes to “forget” yixings effort it’s always been like tht, every time xingmis praise his hard work some1 gotta bring up how ksoo is working hard 2 and pcy is currently curing cancer like gtfo!! why is it so hard for yall to let yixing get his credit where it’s due? imo it’s obvious tht he’s doing more for exo than exo is doing for him. at some points its evn obvious tht it would be easier for him to not be an exo member than to be one. but despite that he still works soso hard at it (all year working non stop, v often while sick/injured) for his members and exo-ls. so it’s incredible 2 me how people can dispute his dedication over every tiny thing, and see him as nothing more than a “d*mb” joke. i mean it would be laughable if it weren’t so tiring for us xingmis. and their reasoning didn’t come from a place of racism and elitist bullshit

Fans need to realize that the songs by the idols (unless mentioned) were composed and  written by the company or music producers. Whenever people compliment the idols saying that “the song is amazing!”. It should be going to the composer/writer. I feel bad for the producers. They get no recognition whatsoever because fans are blinded.
