but just doesn't

Honestly, the issue with discussing child abuse on this hellsite is that you have people who unironically think that telling your child to do chores in order to get something like the wifi code, extra time on the computer/consoles/other entertainment, etc. telling your child that they have to go to bed at a certain time or that they cannot play on their xbox/computer/phone, etc. until they do something or even something such as confiscating a phone, computer, etc. because they did something negative is abusive.

Hell, it’ll probably reach a point at not buying your child a candy bar in the store will be considered abuse if they cry over it because you’re causing them emotional distress and any discipline or negative consequences is automatically Abuse™.

Jax, Tig, & Clay did so many fucked up things that got brushed off but when Juice or someone else did something small they suffered. I hated that element of the club.

This subject gets me so heated honestly. I could write a fuckin’ book on how unfair everything was in that club. Some people could do whatever they wanted, and it was fine, but others (Juice. Always Juice.) did something small and it was always an extreme.

Chibs talked to Stahl with absolutely no pressure from anyone, and was ready to sign a deal to give up Jimmy O. But hmmmmm??? did CHIBS ever get told he betrayed the club?! NOPE. THEY SAID HE DIDN’T “SIGN ANYTHING” SO IT WASN’T TECHNICALLY RATTING. I seem to recall Juice not signing any sort of paperwork?????

Also, Tig and Clay. Not only did they both go behind everyones backs and plot to kill Opie because Stahl made him LOOK like a rat, but Tig wound up killing Donna. A totally innocent woman. He then felt so guilty that he told Opie.

Sounds a lot like the Juice/Darvany/Nero situation, huh? (let us not forget the fact that Juice was on drugs and had no idea what he was saying at the time.) Were there any repercussions for Tig for “betraying” Clay? Nope. Did any of the other club members decide that going against the club and plotting to kill a member, and accidentally killing his wife was something that should be frowned upon, and should have consequences? Nope.

The guys treated Juice like a prospect through the entire series. They had about 5 actual prospects through the shows run, yet Juice always wound up with the grunt work????? Amazing.

Me: It’s 2017, no one wants to hear Gravity Falls meta

Also me: Stan never believed Gideon was an actual psychic—even though he knew supernatural things were possible, and even though everyone in Gravity Falls was against him, Stan always insisted he absolutely knew Gideon was a fraud.  Why was he so certain?

Gideon always called him “Stanford.”

Anyone with real mind-reading powers would’ve known that was actually his brother’s name, and he was living under a false identity

The single best piece of writing advice I ever got was from a professor teaching a playwriting class, who told us that in every scene, especially scenes that were just dialogue, every character should want something. Making every character in a scene have a goal is an easy way to avoid dialogue that’s just exposition, and to make sure your dialogue drives the plot forward and/or reveals characterization.

It doesn’t have to be complicated or super weighty–as long as the characters have a goal, there will be tension in the scene even if the goals are small. Character X wants to borrow a pen, and character Y wants to make a good impression on character X. X wants to insult Y until they go away, and Y wants to annoy X by pretending not to notice the insults. X wants Y to give them the last slice of pizza, and Y is super full but still doesn’t want X to have it. No matter what your character’s goal is, it will reveal something about who that character is to the reader, and the conflict between your characters’ goals will give the scene momentum.

During the days after Here There Be Gerblins, Lup absolutely refuses to be let go of by her brother under any circumstances. However, due to her limited power in this situation, this manifests as the Umbrastaff falling over and rolling in Taako’s direction whenever he tries to set it down. Taako, presently in his Simple Idiot Wizard phase, fails to recognize that this is Not Typical Spellcasting Focus Behavior.

During the boys first night at the Bureau, the Umbrastaff won’t stop falling against the ladder to his bunk no matter how he sets it back up again and eventually, when he reaches down to fix it yet again, it turns and hooks around his wrist not letting him go. His reaction is simply, “Oh hey little buddy, wanna sleep with ol’ Taako do you? Hey I can’t blame you, who wouldn’t!” and pulls it up into bed with him and sleeps with the Umbrastaff like it’s a teddy bear.

It takes days before Lup lets Taako put her down and several weeks before she lets him out of sight when he’s not holding her. She almost panics when they ask for the boys weapons upon boarding the Rockport Limited and was never happier that she made her magic-absorbing superwand an inconspicuous umbrella than she was at that moment.

Everyone else just sort of accepts that Taako now has a magic umbrella that he has to hang on the towel rack when he takes a shower so it doesn’t constantly knock against the door of the bathroom for the entire time he’s in there. The best guess anyone has is there’s some charm on it that tied the Umbrastaff to it’s owner and a bit of that charm transferred over to Taako. (Lucretia secretly wonders if Lup had it charmed to find Taako if she perished, or if she charmed it to return to her and with Lup not present, the Umbrastaff thought Taako was close enough. Either way Lucretia is glad some part of Lup found Taako again after all these years, even if it’s not under the most desireable circumstances, unaware of the true extent to which she is correct.)

lotor is apparently gonna stay with the team for some time to talk to them and shit

jeremy said that lance and lotor do not get along despite what the fandom thought

the writers also said that lotor might take an interest in keith when he knows he’s half galra

Kat,,,,,,,keith Cries,,,,,,,,,fanon keith is dead,,,hes,,,,,emotiONAL,,,

Dude. Dude, I know. Here’s some great stuff about Keith that fandom can no longer deny:

  • when asked to describe himself he first comes up blank
  • no mentions of his talents whatsoever?? he’s not arrogant
  • in fact he has no trouble admitting that he’s bad at something
  • keeps saying that he pilots the black lion but refuses to say that he’s the black paladin
  • he thinks that being part Galra might be why he has always been bad at connecting with people
  • automatically plays around with his knife when the Galra part gets mentioned
  • THE STUPID CHEER FROM S1 IS STILL ON HIS MIND
  • is very straightforward and wants to avoid complicated stuff as much as possible
  • apologized twice for blowing up; he’s self-conscious about his temper
  • [voice crack] “I don’t know why I’m that way”
  • is aware of his abandonment issues
  • is also aware that he puts some walls up
  • tries to compose himself by rubbing his fingers together
  • knows when he is about to cry and promised himself not to do it ((in front of the camera/a potential audience at least))

HE’S. SO GREAT. SO SO GREAT. He’s much more self-aware than fandom gives him credit for. I LOVE HIM SO MUCH ;A;

funny tumnglr joke: bi culture is being into girls and then seeing a guy and remembering you’re unfortunately into guys too, haha!!

me: please stop trying to make me, a bisexual, feel as if part of my attraction is dirty and tainted, i already get that enough from straight people about the OTHER part of my attraction and it just makes me feel like i need to quash down parts of myself for anyone to ever accept me

IIf Netflix or any studio should learn something is that Percy Jackson and The Olympians is where the money is right now. The fandom is starving for a loyal adaptation, we don’t care if it’s a movie, a show or a cartoon, we want something. The Lighting Thief musical proved that betting on this fandom will not be a mistake, the recording of the musical (an off-broadway musical) broke records in pre-sales (in a record company that has records of very successful musical) not only that but the day it was released they reached #1 in musicals beating Hamilton and Moana and even managed to be on the top 10 on Itunes, the success of the musical was so big it’s actually going on tour next year.

There is already a loyal fanbase, I’m talking about people who are from 15 years old to over 30 years old and grew with the books and would support it as long as is a loyal adaptation (and are starving for official merchandise). The saga is intended for kids so that only means the fandom would grow even more with the new fans. The saga has been a best seller for over 440 weeks, last time I check it was beating Harry Potter over how long it was on the best-seller list.

And if they think that shows with kids as leads would not do well Netflix already has very successful shows like A Series of Unfortunate Events (who also has Joe Tracz as a writer who also worked on the scrip of the Lighting Thief Musical), there is also The Worst Witch and while Stranger Things might not be a kids show is absolutely proof that you can find kids who are absolutely better actors than most of the actors playing teenagers in tv shows.

Is absolutely disappointing that Fox fucked up what could have been a saga as huge (or even bigger because it has more books) than Harry Potter and that nobody is talking about reboots (when almost all the current movies or shows are reboots)

tony being a confused puppy after peter refuses his offer to join the team

i’m not sure why, but the scene where lup and barry become liches always gave me like, a wedding vibe. an extremely quiet and small wedding, like they eloped and taako was the only one they wanted to bring along.

it’d be funny if that’s actually how they got married too. Griffin says they probably don’t tell the rest of the crew about the lich thing for a few cycles even, so what if that’s like, a reoccurring thing with them. Lup and Barry making these monumental life choices off on their own and just not telling anyone until years later.
It’s just

Davenport: wait, what do you mean you became liches? Back on the magic world? That was three cycles ago!

Lup: guys, has anyone seen my wedding ring, I took it off to cook and I can’t find it
Magnus: Lup, why do you have a wedding ring?
Lup: uh, me and barry got married like, six cycles ago, that’s why? Did we forget to tell you guys?
Magnus: yes you forgot to tell us!

Lucretia: Taako, you’re not bothered at all that lup and barry go off and do these things on their own?
Taako: What do you mean on their own? You think I wasn’t there for my sister’s and best friend’s wedding? Or when they ripped their souls out of their still living bodies? what kind of person do you think i am?

“Allow Barnes the dignity of his choice.”

list of things lup and taako have argued over:
  • who owns that skirt
  • how to pronounce macarons
  • what the best type of wine is
  • the ultimate fmk scenario for the crew
  • who the hotter twin is
  • who kicked whose ass at duelling/pool/arbitrary game they just came up with the rules of which are also made up
  • who the hottest not them member of the crew is
  • which of them has had the coolest/gruesomest/most dramatic death
