but it's the best i can do right now

It’s not that we are trying to “kick out a few bad apples,” it’s the fact that, you just aren’t LGBT.

If you are cisgender heteroromantic ace-spec, cisgender heterosexual aro-spec or cisgender aroace, you just, are not LGBT.

And me saying that isn’t “aphobia.” If LGBT people, who you naturally oppress, are saying that you aren’t LGBT is your definition of “aphobia,” or a lack of visibility to the existence of ace and aro people is your definition of “aphobia,” then… I’s not sure what to say to you.

LGBT people who do not want you in their safe spaces are not discriminating against you for saying you do not belong there. It’s not “gatekeeping” and calling it that means you don’t know the history of that word when referring to trans people, more so, woman, who were denied the right to transition medically by doctors, who thought they were not “trans enough” or not “showcasing enough dysphoria” for them to “be aloud” it.

Ace and aro intolerance and animosity is real, yes, I’m not saying it isn’t.

But, when lesbian, gay, bi, pan, polyromantic or polysexual, trans and non-binary people say that you are not LGBT for being ace or aro, that is not discrimination.

We aren’t trying to say you don’t exist or deserve support. Of course you exist, and if there was an aroace community (or, a fun way to say it could be ‘double A’ community) where you could find support, that would be great!

The LGBT community was founded for not being able to love someone, or for not being able to express your gender. That’s how we were brought together.

And aces and aros can be brought together too! To bring some visibility about, and have support for each other. In their own, unique community.

I don’t mean to sound mean by saying this, but, a lack or repulsion of romantic and/or asexual attraction, isn’t the same as being attracted to someone who, in most parts of the world, you are not aloud to be attracted to, and can face fines, jail time, and even death.

Being asexual or aromantic is something very unique, and while LGBT aros and/or aces exist, they are not only a part of the LGBT community, but the aroace community as well.

If you are cisgender heteroromantic ace-spec, cisgender heterosexual aro-spec or cisgender aroace, you are welcome to visit the LGBT community as an ally on occasion, and input maybe some suggests on how we can better cater to gay, bi and pan aces and aros, and trans and non-binary aroace folk, that might help a bit.

We are not trying invalidate your existence, please try to understand.

I think that it is very important if you know what you want, understand where you are heading towards, and try your best to get it. It is only when we use our hearts to do it, and fall in love with what we are doing, then can we really get real determination.

I apologize for the delay! I started this about two weeks ago, but then I suddenly got really, really into needle knitting and neglected to work on it (I am currently donning my freshly knit teal garter-stitch scarf I named Orange. I am content and currently in the middle of a cream-coloured mistake-stitch scarf (◡‿◡✿)).

I drew this in celebration of my city finally getting some epic snowfall. I’m so excited for the holidays!

I used FireAlpaca to make this! Thank you to the anon who recommended this software to me ( ˘ ³˘)♥, I quite like it.

Thank you reading and uh, looking at my drawing teehee

New Neighbors

Imagine moving to Beacon Hills and being forced to meet your new neighbors The Stilinski’s.

A/N: This is pre-season One.

“This is stupid.” You muttered, to the man formally known as your father. In your hands a hot plate of fresh sugar cookies you were forced to bake. Apparently being neighborly consisted of actually conversing with them. As if giving away free food wasn’t bad enough, you were now expected to talk to them?
“You know people don’t actually do this anymore, right? Most of us just choose to ignore our neighbors like nice decent people.” You informed, your farther.
He rolled his eyes, disregarding all your feelings as he rang the doorbell. You cringed hearing its loud tone echoing throughout the house. ‘Please let no one be home.’ You pleaded to yourself.

Unfortunately your prayers weren’t answered for the door opened revealing a pale gangly boy with a shaved hair. “Can I help you?”
Your father gave his best doctor smile, presenting his hand. “Hi, I’m Daniel and this is my daughter (y/n). We just moved in next door and thought we’d come introduce ourselves.”
“Hi.” You waved, trying your hardest to appear friendly. It wasn’t like you had no friends, back in Washington you made plenty.  You just felt tried of making them only to move every couple of months or years later.
"Oh, hi. Just a minute I’ll get my dad.“  He said, awkwardly.
You roll your eyes as he scrambles away leaving the door wide open. “See? Blissfully ignorant of each other’s presence.”
"Be nice.“ Your father muttered, elbowing you in the side softly.
"I’m always nice.” You shot back.
This time he rolled his eyes. Thankfully the ‘argument’ got interrupted by the arrival of who you believed to be the boy’s dad. The man looked like the epitome of fatherhood. “Hello, I’m Sheriff Stilinski. My son told me, we had some new neighbors. Please come in, forgive my ill mannered son.” He said, knocking the boy gently on the head.
“Hey, they could be vampires for all I know. Do you really want vampires in our house?” He challenged.
Sheriff Stilinski gave him an unimpressed look. “It’s a bright sunny day. Moreover vampires aren’t real in case you forgot.”
"Actually many vampires nowadays can walk in daylight- even Dracula was said to be seen at all times of day.“ You informed. As much as you hated to admit it, you were somewhat of a book nerd. "So you were right to hesitate. I mean how many neighbors greet each other nowadays?”
The boy shrugged. “I mean I lived here my whole life so I wouldn’t know. But I believe firmly in ignoring those who live next to you. I mean why get involved?”
 "Exactly!“ You exclaimed.
Your father placed a weary hand on your shoulder. "As you can see, my daughter is just as ill mannered.”
"I brought cookies, I said hello, what more do you want me to do?“ You questioned.
"How about come in and sit down for awhile?”  Sheriff Stilinski suggested, “Stiles could use more friends.”
“Hey!” The boy cried indignantly. “I have friends.”
Before you could answer, your father nudged you forward. “We’d be delighted.”
Great, just what you were trying to avoid… friends.

Just wanted to let ANGELS and VIPs know that all of the feelings you’re feeling right now are valid. No,you’re not overreacting. You’re feelings matter and they’re your feelings to have. A lot of us are upset about what going on right now. T.O.P. leaving for the army and maybe the rest leaving at the end of the year and with L.Joe leaving TEEN TOP. All of your feelings is valid. Whether you’re feeling angry, upset, sad, nostalgic, etc ALL OF YOUR FEELINGS MATTER AND ITS OK. Both fandoms have to lean on each other right now for support or talk to someone you feel comfortable talking to. My inbox is always open if anyone needs someone to talk to.<3  Im sorry if i may not have the words you’re looking for,but i can only do the best I can myself since im also a wreak about all of this too.

So here’s what I believe now.  That the best thing that we can do with whatever strength we’re given is to help each other.  To be as kind to each other as we can.  And right now, there are a whole host of people who need our help.  And not because they’re human or not or good or not, but just because they need our help.

‘Do you think it’s possible for an entire nation to be insane?’

'That’s a very…interesting question, sir,’ he said.  'You mean the people–’

'Not the people, the nation,’ said Vimes.  'Borogravia looks off its head to me, from what I’ve read.  I expect the people just do the best they can and get on with raising their kids, which, I might say, I’d rather be doing right now, too.  Look, you know what I mean.  You take a bunch of people who don’t seem any different from you and me, but when you add them all together you get this sort of huge raving maniac with national borders and an anthem.’

i've just started to research spirit work and along with discovering spirit companions and spirit shops. i came across some people saying you should never use a spirit shop to get a companion because theyre scams and i feel like i'm scared away now... is there any way to tell?

There is a lot of drama in the companionship community right now stemming from a few people that are trying to stir the pot and cause drama. Its just causing a panic and nothing more, and it definitely is possible to find a shop that is a scam, there are ways you can protect yourself as well. I do have my recommended shop list that you can check out, all of those shops I have personally worked with and trust. If you want to do a little research of your own, thats even better, because its best to go with a shop you trust as equally as well! Ask the conjurer questions! Check if they have a FAQ on their website first and see if that covers any questions that you have, but you can ask things like:

  • How long have you been conjuring?
  • How long has your shop been open?
  • Do you conjure on a regular basis?
  • How do you vet your spirits?
  • How long have you been working with X type of entity/spirit? (If you have a specific spirit in mind or a specific type of spirit in mind)
  • What is done to ensure the safety of the buyer?
  • What is done to ensure the safety of the spirit/entity?
  • Under what circumstances is the binding allowed to be broken?

Obviously that is not an exhaustive list, but those are good questions to start off with. Good indicators of a legit conjurer is how long their shop has been open, and how often they conjure. If a shop has been around for awhile (think a year+) there is a good chance they are a legit shop. Scam shops tend to be more pop-up and aren’t around for very long because they can’t keep customers due to the fact that they aren’t legit. There is no correct amount of time for a person to have been conjuring, as everyone progresses differently, but some decent amount of experience is a good thing, and they should also conjure on a semi regular basis as well before opening their shop.
Don’t expect your potential conjurer to tell you everything about how they vet their spirits and their entire process, but they should be able to tell you a little bit about the process. or what is done/how long they hold the entity before sending them to the buyer. They should also be able to tell you what is done to ensure BOTH your safety and the spirit/entities safety as well.

Hope this helps!

Hey Awesome People

… this to let y’all know that I am not feeling so awesome right now — got myself a mean case of the doctors-can’t-figure-it-out. I’m trying to get school and work stuff done, but that means Tumblr and writing are taking a backseat for now.

I might not be able to get to asks/messages/comments or post any fic for the next little while. Apologies for disappearing for a bit, I’ll do my best to reappear soon.

In the meantime, the next Klance space mercenary cowboys story is on its way, so here’s a sneak peek — a piece of the prequel that explains how they ended up stranded, and hopefully you’ll forgive me for not being around:

i adore your art!!! you're one of my biggest inspirations for sure!! i was wondering, do you usually ink with a brush?

oh wow hi!!! sorry i havent been very active on here!! thank you soooo much crie ;___; i usually ink with nib pens (is that what theyre called?) in a variety of sizes ! Pens im into right now:

Tombo Fudenosuke  - i guess these are “Brushes” but their stiffness compared to all other brushpens is what i like!

Uniball VIsion - best overall pen, imo. dries fast and is water proof!

Pilot Futayaku Double Sided - i like using this one to add greys to my ink drawings, its really convenient. again, a “Brush” pen but much stiffer

i do own a pentel pocket brush, which is an actual brush, but im very very very bad at controlling it. gotta practice!!

anyway thanks please let me know if i can help with anything else!!

The best RusAme is when they geek out about space together, like even when they aren’t on great terms. One of them calls the other like:
‘DID YOU HEAR ITS BEEN CONFIRMED THAT THERE IS WATER FLOWING ON MARS LIKE RIGHT NOW’
'I KNOW I KNOW I JUST HEARD’
'AAAAAAHHHHHH!!!!’
'AAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!’
'WE SHOULD TOTALLY GO TO MARS OMG WE SHOULD ASK OUR BOSSES IF WE CAN GO’
'IM GOING TO GO ASK RIGHT NOW HOLD ON’

Five minutes later:
'boss says im not allowed to leave on extended space travel :(’
'yeah….my boss said the same…’
'we should do it anyway’
’….yeah. YEAH!!! WHAT ARE THEY GOING TO DO IF WE DISOBEY? KILL US??? HAHAHAHA’

Happy Birthday Harry Shum Jr. (April 28, 1982)

“Every project I work on makes me feel like I am on the right track because I’m getting paid doing what I love to do. I view each film and show I get to work on as a small dent in the universe that hopefully makes some sort of impact to someone somewhere. So I guess in a way, whatever current project I’m working on reminds me that I am on the right track.”

Do you know of any other good homoerotic™ movies? I eat that shit up esp when its vintage

hokay admittedly i’m not a vintage film gay (more eighties and nineties film gay) but i can do my best

  • the lost boys (1987) for all your vampire boy needs
  • fight club (1999) ignore everything you’ve ever heard about fight club that shit is so laden with homoeroticism also jared leto gets beat up and edward norton sucks off a gun (i wrote an essay about how gay this movie is okay)
  • scream (1996) if you’re into cute boys planning the grizzly murders of their friends to be homoerotic, see no more
  • top gun (1986) arguably one of the most homoerotic films of the eighties. it’s got tom cruise in it
  • rebel without a cause (1955) anything with james dean is just. lovely (it’s a bit hetro but there’s SOMETHING there i s2g)

((-wheezing- Hey guys! So…. I think its about that time now where I have to close the inbox again. ^^; I wish I didn’t have to, but right now I have way too many messages and my thesis is in need of some mayor attention right now, so I can’t really sit down and respond to them all in one go. Just as last time I’ll tag everyone who sent messages bellow so they know that they’re not being ignored cuz of my lack of speed in answering stuff. :’D Once again I’m really sorry and I’ll do my best to respond them when I can and hopefully not take too long before its opened again!))
