but it's all i can do

I just had the cutest daydream of Adrien at about twenty five sitting across from Alya at a table and they’re both drinking coffee (presumably at Alya’s apartment) and Alya’s all excited saying, “It’s cool of you to stop by and all, I thought you would be too busy planning the wedding!”

“Oh come on Alya, Marinette and I have been together for years you still say it like its scandalous.”

“Don’t blame me for getting excited.”

“Well anyways, theres only one detail i’m stuck on.”

“Yeah, i’ve been trying to think forever whose gonna be my best man. I just dont know.”

And muffled from the other room you hear, “Fucking excuse me?”

Alya and Adrien start to laugh, doing their best to keep a straight face as Nino bursts into the room.

“What?” Adrien feigns confusion, Alya starting to lose it.

“Are we going to have to throw the fuck down right now?”

Finally Adrien cant take it and he bursts out laughing, him and Alya bent over the table and nearly crying in hysterics. Adrien manages to choke out, “Dude i’m messing with you!”

And Nino holds up his hands and instantly relaxes, leaving the room as he says “Alright cool I thought we were about to have some words.”

With all these beautiful Fatesonas everyone’s making, @krazehkai and I thought that a 30 Day Art Challenge would be a great way for everyone to have fun with their characters, learn more about other Fatesonas, and interact with each other! So here we present to you 30 challenges you can do~

(I made Day 1 a greeting + a link to your ref because I figured most people already fully drew their Fatesona in their original Fatesona post/ref. I didn’t want to make you all draw another one or have to post the same one lol)

Please tag your posts with #fatesona 30 day challenge so we can all see each others’ work in one nice place!

Have fun, everyone!

i’ll be real, the next comedy show i do it probably going to be about the compulsory failures of capitalism aka who capitalism fails aka this whole entire generation of people who are working longer and harder and in less secure jobs than their parents, who come home to rented accommodation which they can never hope to afford to own, too exhausted to engage in all the creativity and activism they’d like too, who are watching their governments betray them and feeling like it’s them who’ve failed, and that’s utter bullshit

what do y’all think?

Gifts of Guilt | Calum Hood Imagine

A/N: Hey guys sorry I’m inactive as fuck but i’m back!! lol jk i actually didn’t write this but my very talented cousin did. It’s awesome you should read it. Enjoy!!!

Unknown Number:

Hey I think I left my cardigan at your place;) Can I come pick it up later?

You re-read the text in your head a hundred times. Was this message actually meant for Calum? He wouldn’t cheat would he? Questions rambled throughout your mind, you head aching from all the stress pounding its way in your brain. You couldn’t believe it, had he actually been cheating this whole time? You had been away last weekend with your best friend, but what would make him do this? You thought everything between you two was all right. Although it wasn’t perfect, you would’ve hoped that he could’ve spoken up to you about any problems he thought you guys were having. You didn’t even realize that you had started crying until you saw a tear drop onto his phone screen, the light shining up again with another message.

Unknown Number:

I’m outside… Sorry it’s such short notice; this is my only time available.

Your heart dropped. You peeked out the window and sure enough, there was a black Jeep in the driveway, a petite brunette nervously getting out of the car. She checked her phone a few times before reaching the front door, you panicking. What the hell were you supposed to do? Show your ashamed face to the girl your boyfriend has been cheating on you with? You paced back and forth in your shared room with Calum, looking for a way out of this. Calum was in the shower, but if you just handed the sweater off to the girl and left to Y/BFF/N’s house, you could avoid the situation until at least tomorrow afternoon. The boys had to be in the studio early in the morning so he would never know that you saw the messages, or even saw the girl.

You saw a cream sleeve peeking out from under Calum’s side of the bed, and you quickly tore it out and put it on top of the bed, putting a bag together as fast as you could. Taking the cardigan, you rushed down the stairs. You braced yourself, opened the door, and there she stood. Flawless skin, straight, beautiful brown hair with a bouncy attitude, and now your boyfriend.

“Hey, Calum’s not here right now. Here’s your cardigan or whatever. Don’t tell him you saw me.” You said, embarrassed. She gave you a weak smile as you brushed past her, hurrying to get inside your car. You turned the ignition on and sped off your block, taking the usual route your friend’s house. As soon as you arrived you explained everything to her, sobbing uncontrollably into her shoulder. You couldn’t handle the weight of the wall you had up to block all of your emotions out anymore. It fell down in pieces, one moment you thought you were okay and the next tears were flowing out of your eyes like a river down a mountain. The fans were right, you thought. You weren’t good enough for Calum. He had found another girl; while he was still with you just to avoid the harsh publicity he would get for breaking up with you. Reality hit you like a big yellow bus; your emotions calming down as you slowly felt yourself becoming tired. You shot Calum a quick text to tell him where you were and not to worry about you that night. You told him that everything was okay and that you would see him tomorrow afternoon. But you really didn’t know how that was going to even be possible. Despite the heartache you were going through at the moment, you wanted to see of the guilt of having the girl he was with for years not knowing that he was cheating this whole time, bring him down to a crumble and confess.

You woke up just as your friend was leaving for work. She told you that she left some clothes of hers in the bathroom if you were going to change here or not, so you thanked her and gave her a quick hug before saying goodbye. The front door closed and reality set in. Calum had cheated and he had no idea that you knew. And this so-called plan of yours was nowhere near full proof.

Later that day

You sat on the couch, watching re-runs of Friends when you heard the front door open. You took a deep breath; ready to face Calum since you first found out he has been cheating. You plastered a smile on your face, turning around to see him smile back at you as he walked up the stairs carrying a bag.

“What did you get?” You asked curiously, watching the bag swing back and forth in his arms until he placed it on the kitchen table.

“Wait and see!” He smirked, “Close your eyes.” He demanded, rummaging through the bag until he hid something behind his back.

You rolled your eyes, but obeyed. You could hear his footsteps come closer to your position on the couch, your palms getting sweaty.

“Stand up, or else this won’t work.” He chuckled, you laughing along with him. God, why could you have been so stupid? This was all just pretending to him.

As you stood in front of him, you could feel the cool chill of metal swipe your skin. He moved your hair out of the way, and you could hear him flustering around with the clasp of the necklace. You opened your eyes to look down, the tiny diamond encrusted heart glimmering in the living room light. You gasped, turning around to face him. He had a big smile on his face, but it dropped when he saw that you weren’t doing the same.

“Is there something wrong? If you don’t like it we can go to the store and you can pick out another one, I promise.” He rambled, taking your hand in his. The warm touch of his fingers against your skin made your heart flutter, but you stopped yourself from feeling anything more.

You grabbed the necklace with one hand, “It’s that easy, huh?” You whispered, tears flowing over your cheeks. “A gift with every load of guilt you feel.” You shook your head, taking in your lips as you tried to stop the sobs.

“What?” He raptly asked, stepping closer to you, but you took a step back.

“I know Calum. I know that you cheated, and I can’t believe it took me this long to notice.” The burning sensation in your chest grew larger as you felt your wall break down even more.

“I- can explain…” He trailed off, wiping his hand over his face. You couldn’t look once more at him before running off to your room, slamming the door closed. He called out your name, running up the stairs after you. Your fingers entangled themselves in your hair, grasping at every strand. You paced back and forth, your body shaking from the heavily sobs escaping your lips.

“Y/N!” He shouted, trying to engulf you into a hug. You violently pushed him away, your eyes blurred with tears. He got angrier and angrier with every push you put towards him, his jaw tightening with frustration.

You looked around the room; spying the gifts he’s given you over the years. A promise ring, a teddy bear, a new dress. “These were all a joke weren’t they? Every time you filled another girl with pleasure you filled me with gifts?” You screamed at him, punching his chest with full force.

“It’s not my fault that you were the biggest prude of them all! I couldn’t stand it anymore. But the boys wouldn’t let me break things off with you until after the tour ended. God I’ve been in a living hell for the past year and a half.” He snorted, staring dead into your eyes.

“Is this how you make everything okay? By spending your precious money on the girl you don’t give a shit about?” You exclaimed, throwing your hands up in the air.

“Yeah. Maybe it fucking is Y/N!” Calum yelled back, spitting in your face like you were a child.

You slowed your breathing down, only to notice the dangling piece of him around your neck. You groaned, ripping it from your chest and throwing it on the ground.

“Go ahead, give it to the next girl you make moan.” You spat, tasting the salty tears upon your lips.

“I don’t care about you anymore Y/N! Out of 7 billion people in the world… you think I need you?” He walked closer with every breath he took, his words laced with vicious hatred. “I pity you for thinking that I ever loved you for a day longer than our last anniversary.” He hushed, caressing your arm with a soft touch.

“You are the worst thing that has ever happened to me, Calum Hood.”

dont u think its tiring how many ppl are like "LOOK IM SO GAY LOOK AT ME IM DIFFERENT!!!!!!". like, idk, troye sivan. the guy its constantly saying how gay he is and its like okay, i dont fucking care. u can be proud of being gay or whatever, since i think homophobia hasnt been erased at all (some of the reasons are religious and thats okay as long as u dont harm anybody) but come on I DONT CARE. thats why I dont even give a chance to his music.

Yeah it gets annoying when people try hard to make that the entirety of their personality. Same with race and gender. It doesn’t make you special or anything, it makes you just like the countless number of people on here who do this.

Discernment is Your Best Friend

When walking into anything on this side of life, paganism, witchcraft, and even spirit work things can get confusing. Not only all the information but the constant questions of, “Did I do this right?” “Was that a sign from my Gods?” “Is that spirit really there?” and even more than that. We cannot see half the stuff and even when we do, we still question it.

Doubt is good. Doubt keeps us questioning and in check. However its about the right amount of doubt. Too much doubt can make us miss even the most obvious piece, because we questioned it too much. Too little and we become gullible by believing everything handed to us.

This is where discernment comes into play. Discernment and protection, when used right, can be some of the biggest allies. So it is important to set up a good system. Why set it up in the beginning? You can set it up later. There is nothing wrong with that. It is just hard years later when your knee deep in it all and something disproves everything you just worked through. Its reality crushing.

I have gotten a lot of questions on discernment lately in our chat. So below are some tips and tricks in helping you set up the best system for yourself. At the bottom will be a resource list to some other great articles on discernment. This post is centered on spirit work and deities with discernment. though discernment can be used for a variety of things.

Research is Your Friend

I do not think everything is 100% accurate even in printed word. Nor do I believe lore to be accurate 100% either; however, it has been around much longer. There will be some validity to it. Yet do not believe everything you read.

Practice good research skills. When you read something, read about the author. See where they got their information. Follow the trail. You need to make sure the source you are getting your information from is legit. Wikipedia pages are great for quick reads, but they are not always accurate. The thing about wiki pages are anyone with an account can edit and write the information there. Though down at the bottom are sources to which you can follow to find more reading material.

This is the same thing for Tumblr and social media/blogging sites as well. Do not believe everything you read. I can not stress that enough. Tumblr is great for blogging, but not that great for informative research that you want to do. Even research beyond my post on this subject. I encourage it.

So when a spirit shows up or a God, do some research about them. Under stand them. Then if they give you some information, research that. You’ll be surprised what you can find. When finding that information in multiple places, it will help you build trust in yourself.

Divination: Outside Advice

Divination can help a lot too. I am not just talking about you doing readings for discernment. You are biased. Your energy, want, and need will be put into that reading. If your trying to discern if something is accurate it will not work accordingly.

This is where you will want to get an outside opinion. Find someone who does not know your situation. Give as vague of a question as possible. The less you tell them the better, because their readings will be more meaningful.

Also when getting a reading by someone, practice good shopping. Look to make sure the reader would connect well with you. Look at the reviews from others. If you have a friend who would be up for it good (just as long as they don’t know much about the situation)! If you have divination skills you can always offer trades. I have done that on occasion. Most times when I really need the discernment piece, free readings start to pop up. So if you don’t have money keep your eyes on free readings. But again make sure its a reader whom would tune in to your energy well.

Any forms of divinations will work! It does not have to be cards, those just typically are the most popular form. Do however be careful with pendulum readings on your own. Unless you know how to take the ego out completely. Pendulums swing due to energy and will, and if you or the reader has any biased it will move to that. So just be careful, but don’t count it out completely. (I always pair pendulum readings with cards to support both answers)

Signs Are Everywhere

Asking for signs is great! Its a good way to know they are there. This is one of the first discernment techniques I have learned and still use.

There is one thing about asking for signs though: be specific. Asking for them to give you signs gives them too much free reign. Make sure and be as specific as possible. The format I usually follow goes something like this:

If you want me to do this give [insert sign here] 5 times in the next three days [or insert date].
Example: King if you want me choose to move give me Tigger, 3 times in two days.

I usually pick the most random sign possible. Mostly because its something I haven’t seen and the high possibility of it happening is low. They tend to blow me out of the water with how wrong sometimes I can be. Its okay if the signs do not happen. That gives you an answer to your question all the same. The point of discernment is to differentiate between brain weasels and them.

Side Note: Make sure and do your research too. When Gods and spirits try to get attention they will send signs. Though watch patterns of people. Look up population/rarity of animals in the area. Just research before jumping to the conclusion it is a sign. If your not sure either way write it down! Nothing says you can’t come back later to it. You can even follow the above format to see if someone is sending you signs.

Key Is The Word

Once establishing a good relationship with a spirit and/or deity now its time to build up a security system. This way you know its that being contacting you. This also helps when others approach you and claim to be the voice of said spirit and/or deity.

It can be anything from words, sentences, or even a picture. It is something only you and the spirit and/or deity know. An example is like me giving King the sign of puns when He is around. I know how His personality is, so puns is something that just happens around Him. Especially when its done by someone whom is not usually into puns. We even have signs for during readings, so I know that He is there telling the reader the right information.

Journaling Is Important Too

Oh great another post about how important journaling should be. I know. I know. Most of us start journals and never follow through with them. Its difficult some times. Yet this will actually help a lot in the long run of things. Bare with me.

Sometimes spirits and deities will give you signs to get your attention. There are times they have given me information that I wasn’t sure what to do with. Or things that happen and I’m like “your crazy so I’ll ignore this.” Most times I will write things down like that. Its just little notes in a little notebook. Mod Tara takes notes on everything we do in the astral. Just so its somewhere with dates on them for when we do it.

Its amazing how many times we both go back and read through the notes. Then things start to line up with other pieces. The bigger picture starts to show. Then you see the signs and know what to look for in the future. This builds not only discernment but trust in yourself.

Dates are important too. We actually had an article pop up in our states newspaper that paralleled with our experiences. This paper came out a year later, but the events took place a year ago. We looked back in our notes and things were eerily similar to the article as well as dates AND places lining up. This gave us a huge boost in our trust in discernment and ourselves.

Trust in Yourself and Intuition

With all the other techniques this comes next.

It is the toughest thing to do and we all struggle with it. I have gotten better about this, but there are days that I slip. Which is okay! We all stumble. It is also good to question and doubt. You need to when facing the unseen world.

The techniques above can also help build that trust in yourself. I know I went through severe doubt in everything for years. Then some journalling and some great help by one spirit I was able to overcome the bulk of it. It takes work and patience, so do not feel pressure in that it has to be done now. There is nothing wrong with trusting yourself and going with your intuition. Your intuition can lead you to some great places.

Some Warnings Before I Go

  • Not everyone’s discernment will be the same. We are all different thus things work for us differently. This is why I suggest reading up many different ways to execute discernment. Then build which works for you.
  • Just like everyone is different, so is every spirit. Make sure and take the time to find what communication is there strongest form. I have worked with a few spirits to help them become better at communication. Not every spirit is good at all forms, unlike deities. So be patient with them.
  • I know not everyone can sense. Yet you do not need to sense to practice good discernment. Discernment is for everyone, regardless of personal abilities. One system will not work for another and will evolve over time.
  • With everything, be patient. It takes time to develop a good system. Do not be afraid to check and adjust either. You want this to help support you down this path. You will be more thankful to have a good system in place in the beginning than down the road.

If you have suggestions on more discernment posts please let me know. I will gladly add them once I have read through it.

I hope this helps! Please let me know if you guys have further questions. c:

*presses the matter*

“Well, Don’t say I didn’t warn you. After all the Apexis shard complaining, I assumed no one was interested in the finer details of magic.” Khadgar cracks his knuckles, bringing up diagrams and equations in various runes.

“We all know blinking has its limitations when it’s just one person; you’ve seen it before. Trees, fences, other solid materials will stop a mage in their tracks even if they didn’t blink as far as they were able to. Hence why mages can’t blink through WALLS. Now, a blink is a type of teleportation. Mages can do this; but you will remember it takes a BIT of casting in order for us to do this, even for me. And even then, it takes time for us to appear in our intended target; and during that materialization process we are vulnerable. Have you ever tried teleporting to a place and then find yourself running back to your body before you even knew what happened? Same concept.” Khadgar waves his hand flippantly. “Blinking, once completed, gets to instantly to where you want to be, but the spell is originally intended to be for short distances. You will care to notice next time a mage casts it, that the spell isn’t THAT instantaneous. Now, keeping all this in mind. In order to blink a city, ley line central or no, the destination MUST be as clear as if it were in front of us. Focus is key here, for scrying can help immensely with this. Not to mention, Karazhan is BIT of an easier target. Than say..oohhhh a island infested with the Legion. So while preparing such a spell, we also have to ensure a spot is warded for us to safely land in in, that nothing gets in the way from here to the islands, that the scrying isn’t disturbed, annnd that Karazhan doesn’t just snap us back like a ball on a rubber band. We also have to move the city as a WHOLE, not just in bits and pieces. And without shrinking it. So with 6 of us, we can split the city into 6 different sections that each one of us will be focused on. We will prepare each section for transport, so that when the OVERALL spell is complete, the entire city will blink as a whole. 6 Archmages, 6 sections, each area takes roughly 24 hours to prepare and synch. The final day, day 7, will be the actual BLINKING part of the spell. It takes roughly one second to cast blink. There are 3,000 people in Dalaran - so 3,000 seconds to blink each of them. And then blinking the items, chairs, animals……all comes out to roughly 86,400 blinks. In seconds that’s equal to a day. Now, we mages can SLIGHTLY altar time; you’ve seen us do this as well. So it allows us to blink everything at ONCE while still doing the individual casts on that final day. Karazhan helps a LITTLE with the time distortion. But it still requires a week of work. Also with the aspects having lost the meat of their powers, Kalec may as well be a human archmage. In-fact, he’s no different that a worgen mage. He just turns into a giant flying lizard. I hope this answers your question.”

*steps up on soapbox*

I am hereby giving out hugs (or smiles and thumbs up for people who do not want touches) to anyone who at any point has felt ashamed or angry or upset or stupid for buying into media narratives.

It is not your fault. At all. Not your fault!

Please be kind and forgive yourselves!

The entire system is set up in such a way that you’re supposed to believe everything the media tells you. It (normally) benefits the celebrity and celebrity teams and the media outlet if media outlets don’t push too hard “to find out the truth” and consumers don’t think to pull back the curtain.

Let’s take a hypothetical media company who depends on celebrity interviews for ad revenue. The higher caliber celebrities you interview, the more people give you hits or views and the more money you can make from advertisers. Therefore, anyone who is interviewing will not risk alienating the celebrity/mgmt team/label etc when doing the interview or publishing the final piece. Asking blacklisted questions, giving unfavorable opinions of the celebrity, or not following the narrative can all result in the celebrity/mgmt team/label not wanting to work with that media outlet again - which could lose them money in the long run if they’re then known to cause problems. And that’s even if the interviewer has put any extra thought towards digging into an entire history of a celebrity to even question what they’re being told.

It doesn’t benefit any of the parties who are making money if the consumers push too hard to see if a certain story is “the truth.”

Plus, as a consumer of media, it takes a lot of effort to parse out a) does this make sense b) who is it benefiting c) who might be pulling strings behind the scene d) does this jive with past history/rumors you’ve heard from behind the scenes.

And there are a LOT of celebrities out there pushing narratives, so to do that with every celebrity for every story you’re told is near impossible.

So don’t be hard on yourselves! It’s okay! You’ve learned a bit more how the media works and you’re a little bit smarter and if you have spare time you can think about how it applies to other celebrities, but please do not spend any time putting your past self down for buying into it.

I’ve been in roadrat hell for so long and I finally decided to try writing something small with them. Inspired and building off this amazingly cute but heart breaking comic by the amazing browsdraws! What's wrong friend?

Is this about that post earlier?
Its just that I feel highly inadequate cause I can’t do a simple task like taking care of a dog. They’re supposed to be “easy” to take care of, or I’ve always been told that. I can’t prevent my dog from peeing in the house or getting in the trash.
So, I’m sending to a super amazing rescue center (no kill, of course.) It just feels like its all my fault. Like I’m inadequate cause I can’t walk a dog enough to prevent him from peeing in the house, or getting in the trash.
But I can’t walk him every 30 minutes, I have chronic pain and would be crying constantly if I walked him every day that often. I can’t keep him out of the trash, he waits for me to go to bed or leave the house. I can’t stay up and keep him out of it, and I have to go grocery shopping/do laundry! I just want to be able to do it, and it feels like its my depression/anxiety and chronic pains fault that I can’t do it.

i did it…i made… my first alt. shes a raen, obviously, and the first pic is more or less the extent of her ability to convey emotions (but i added the laughing pic just bc its cute). despite the pink hair lol she can be kinda cold and sarcastic and a bit brusque. she’s going to be the opposite of Lycoris mostly because she’s going to be a bounty hunter type of sky pirate boss ass bitch who actively seeks out trouble if theres a reward. shes always ready to fight. lol. i just need a reason to do things that lyc wouldn’t do haha.

now the hardest part of it all - coming up with a raen name without looking weebish. please help.

A ladybug flew through my window. It was beautiful, for five minutes. But then the heat followed. Crawled in on six legs. I think a woman might have said something rude to me at the grocery store, only I can’t be sure because I don’t speak the way they do. I stitch my lips up. I talk with my hands. I keep a butterfly net gripped between two rows of white knuckles. A sudden swish as i bring it down over the moon, and all the plastic children riding red bikes through its garden.

“If I don’t actively avoid implementing complex and time-consuming features, the game’s development will last a lot longer.”

This man would fucking implement a useless character named late-chan whose only purpose is to be the victim of a selective nonsensical killing animation faster than he would implement features that MAKE SENSE for the scenario being depicted.

I used to love keeping up with this crap because I found it funny, but its lost all its humor by now. I can’t even understand what goes on in this man’s brain. “Oh, Late-chan is a good use of my time and resources! Hm, students reacting to unconscious people is too time consuming. Let’s add a magic wand to the game! Oh, but matchmaking is getting put off for a couple weeks again.” What kind of logic is that?

He loves to brag about how he’s such a competent game dev, who loves his players and wants to do the best he can for this project, how he’s working SO HARD to make a good game for all of his patreon supporters, but literally all I’m seeing is a lazy fetishist asshole who can’t be assed to implement simple scenarios like this.

if hes starting to recgonize that these things are going to take time that means HE SHOULD PROBABLY HIRE A PROFESSIONAL.
