Fall For You (M) | 03 (Final)

Summary: You hate a lot of things about Jeon Jungkook; you hate his arrogance, his reputation, and his pet name for you to name a few. But most of all, you hate how right it feels for you to fall into his arms, and how easy it is to fall for him.

Part 01. Part 02 + Drabbles

Mood music: X

A mistake.

It absolutely had to be a mistake.

There was no way you were in love with Jeon Jungkook, absolutely no way in hell you had feelings for him that ran any deeper than discontent. It had been the moment, the conversation with Jungkook, the awe you’d felt when he showed you his forest. You had gotten caught up in that moment, and your mind had tricked itself into thinking you liked Jungkook.

You didn’t love Jungkook.

You loved his dick. And that was all.

This was my favorite part of this episode. Here’s why:

So here comes Daesung, trailing after Seungri, hands full with bowls of washed lettuce and whatnot. He’s taking his sweet time and, in typical introvert fashion, complaining about how he isn’t ready to return to camp yet (“I don’t feel like going back”)… but the second he sees TOP tending to the fire his demeanor changes.

He’s all, “Whoa, look at that fire! You okay over there?” There’s a teasing note to it, yes. Because he’s already been on TOP’s case once today about the importance of washing his hands before handling meat that they’re all going to eat, come on, hyung.

But just underneath that there’s genuine concern, too. Because Daesung cares. And TOP is Big Bang’s big baby, after all. Someone’s gotta look after him. Daesung doesn’t call himself his nanny for nothing; one look at TOP dutifully manning the grill and he knows he’s having a hard time.

At Daesung’s voice TOP turns and– finally, someone who will listen to him! “The tongs are too short,” he complains, though by now he’s laughing at himself a little too. He knows his problems are trivial, but he just… he needs to unload on someone. The fire is hot! It hurts his hand! Why won’t anyone acknowledge that he’s struggling?

Poor TOP, the others all shot him down when he made a fuss about the heat from the fire burning his hand: “What do you want! Leave me alone!” They were so done with him right from the start; they had work of their own to do and no patience for his whining. But then along came Daesung, offering him an ear and an opportunity to vent his frustrations a bit. And really, sometimes that’s all TOP needs to keep going: someone who recognizes that, above all, he just wants to be heard.

Daesung is so good to him. 😭 😭 😭

Do you know that post about an uber driver surprising passengers with puppies inside their cab? Because I dreamed about it last night but with victuuri. Like, driver!victor with makkachin and his pups at the backseat, then passenger!yuuri enters and victor just stares at him bc wow what an angel??? 'pls marry me we'll travel the world and raise these puppies together???' Lmao it's just so cute too bad i woke up right after that it's such a nice dream ;//

On Victor Nikiforov’s Uber profile it says: prefers passengers with pets.

Yuuri doesn’t have a pet with him, but he does need a ride, so he figures ‘prefer’ is going to have to be the operative word in this situation. Phichit hadn’t been able to give him a ride, something had come up, so he’s leaning against the brick wall outside of a diner. There are waves of rain beating down on the sidewalk in front of him and a tiny, maroon awning is his only savior.

When he sees a white convertible pull up, he squints, wondering if this could possibly be his driver. Deciding to take the risk, he hurries into the rain and peers into the window. There’s a man inside, too blurry to make out, but he’s waving to him, so Yuuri opens the back door.

And…

(No, this can’t be the right car.)

“Come in, you’re going to get soaked!” the man calls, and there’s a playfulness to his voice, an invitation.

“You have dogs,” Yuuri blurts, as though the man doesn’t know that there are currently five brown poodles habituating the back of his fancy convertible.

The man–Victor, Yuuri reminds himself–nods. “That one is Makkachin, he’s the oldest. And that one is Spot–do you see the spot on his back?–and that one is Bella, she’s the troublemaker, and then that’s Charlie…”

“Right, okay,” Yuuri blurts, and he gets into the car, shutting the door behind him. A dog lays down on his lap. He can’t buckle his seatbelt.

“Where are you heading?”

Yuuri swallows. “Um, doesn’t it say in your, uh, thing?”

Victor looks at his GPS. He’s definitely attractive, Yuuri notes. “Yes, I suppose it does. Just trying to make conversation.”

“Oh, right, sorry. Um, I can’t get my seatbelt on.”

“Oh, Makka!” Victor scolds, looking over his shoulder. “You can just push him off, it’s fine. Just be gentle, please.”

Yuuri tries to push the dog off, but he whines and keeps his head on Yuuri’s thigh. He doesn’t have the heart to try again, so he just prays that Victor is a good driver. “So why, um, why the dogs?”

“Why not?”

(Fair enough.)

Victor turns a corner and Yuuri holds onto Makkachin, trying to keep him from slipping. “Aren’t they cute?” Victor asks, sounding hopeful.

“Yeah, they are,” he admits, patting Makkachin’s head. “Are they all poodles?”

“Yes!”

“I used to have a poodle.”

Victor frowns, looking at him through the rearview mirror. “They’re very loyal dogs. They like riding around, meeting passengers. I’ve never seen Makkachin take as much of a liking to one as he has to you, though.”

He blushes and ducks his head. “Really?”

“Really. In fact, it’d be a shame if he were to never see you again after this ride, so maybe you should give me your phone number. So that you can visit. For the dog’s happiness.”

(Well, that escalated quickly.)

He tries to figure out whether or not Victor is asking him out.

But, it’s for the dog’s happiness, after all.

“S-Sure. I mean, I do need rides sometimes….”

“You’ll be my priority customer,” Victor promises. “Now hold on.”

“Haha oka–what?”

They swing around a tight corner, Yuuri is thrown against the door. The dogs don’t look at all disturbed, they maintain their places and pant happily at the man in the front seat. “Sorry about that!”

He clutches his heart. “Yeah… Yeah, no problem.”

“Wow, you’re even cuter when you’re flustered,” Victor muses, watching the rearview mirror again.

Yuuri, on the other hand, watches the road. “Look out!”

He glances down at the road, swings their car to the right. “Don’t worry, it’s fine.”

“D-Definitely fine,” Yuuri repeats, unsure.

Then, they’re at his stop. “See you soon?”

(For the dog, Yuuri thinks.)

(For the dog, and for that man’s stunningly gorgeous eyes.)

“Sure. See you soon.”

Butterflies - Archie Andrews x Reader

Certainly a longer one for you guys. It’s a little crappy and a little pointless but I thought of this while in music class the other day and thought it was a cute idea to distract us all from the turmoil of episode 13…

Masterlist

He had admired her from across the music room for months. (y/n) (l/n). With the voice of an angel and the face of one too. She was truly talented in every way, singing, piano, guitar and just her sheer ability to charm anyone. She was sweet in everyway and he couldn’t help but wonder if her lips were that sweet too; they certainly looked it.

He had completely fallen for her. Everything she did, every word she sang, everything she was. She was beginning to become his first thought in the morning and his last at night before he went to sleep and almost every thought in between. Yet, he had still never had a full conversation with you. You were alone once in the classroom when everyone had left as he helped her find her sheet music but that was it. That was enough for him to memorize her eyes and the way she did her hair in a messy bun so she could play without it getting in the way and it was adorable. Everything about her was adorable. Miniature compared to him and her smile was the cutest thing he had ever seen in his life. Yet, he still hadn’t spoken to her.

“You need to say something, bud.” Jughead slid onto the bench next to him, stuffing some cafeteria burrito into his mouth.

“He’s right you know,” Betty chimed in from behind him with Veronica and Kevin as they sat around,

“Are you still pining over piano girl?” Ronnie mocked in a baby voice, “God, Arch. I didn’t know that you could ever be so useless around a girl.” He glared at her,

“I have no idea what you are on about.” He tried to play it cool but the tiniest voice crack at the wrong moment gave him away. Not that there was much to give away.

“Oh yeah, and I have no idea that, that song is about her.” Kevin observed stealing the sheet from in front of Archie and pulling it away from reach so he and the girls could see it,

“Oh Archie you have to say something! This is all too sweet.” Betty cooed but Jugheads laughter overpowered her, “Oh Juggie, just because some guys are romantic.” Betty sighed mockingly,

“I am mysterious and girls love that more.” He smirked before winking at her.

“This is all well and good guys but I am not talk to her. Now or anytime soon.”

“you could ask her to the dance!” V piped up getting all excited,

“Great idea!” Archie mocked, “When you find any reason for her to like me, let me know and I’ll go for it.” He sighed in defeat. If he was true to himself that was the real reason he had never gone up to her, they had never spoken and normally it was girls who came up to him and her? well she was not that kind of girl. She hung around with Ethel, not the vixens. She wore oversized cardigans, not mini skirts and her top knot was haphazard, not 3 hours worth of styling but all this just made her so much better than any of them. She was who she wanted to be, not who someone like Cheryl wanted her to be or how people said she should be, she was just herself and that’s how he wanted her.

One thing he never understood was that she spoke to everyone, except him. She was one of them people who didn’t have a ‘group’ she kind of floated between people with everyone liking her. One day she could talk to the geeks and the next be tutoring Reggie Mantle in science only to be back with musical theatre kids by lunch helping with rehearsals but she never spoke to this group. Ever. He had never understood why she had avoided them, he was sure that they had never done any wrong to her but she would almost always leave class quickly to avoid him.

As far as Archie knew, she was single but he couldn’t understand why. Half the boys in the football team adored her and not in some demeaning way. If they didn’t think of you as a sister to protect, they wanted to take you out for dinner. She managed to bring out the soft side of even the biggest guys in the school ad he could never figure out how, bur she certainly did it to him.

She found solitude in music and she would only practice in the theatre without anyone listening.

Little did she know that Archie had found this out, he had been working to keep up with the rest of the music class that he had managed to join late. He had come across your secret practice sessions after looking for Valerie.

She was too into her music to notice Archie staring from the back, and too focused to notice when Archie came in, even taking a seat and listening to the end of her piece.

She played her last note, her eyes still closed…that is until he started to clap. When her eyes flew open she made eye contact instantly with Archie and paled dramatically,

“Sorry, I’ll be going I didn’t know you were in here…”
“No, no it’s fine.” He panicked a little, this was his only chance to talk to her, “please stay, for once?” she looked like a rabbit in the headlights but he had never seen her that way. She was normally confident, loud and cheery but this was so much different - as if she was scared of him but she nodded anyway still standing in the same spot clutching her sheet music, “look, I don’t know if you know me I'm…”
“Archie. Archie Andrews.” The fact she knew who he was made him smile stupidly, “I’ve seen you in music class.” she said quietly, “I'm…”
“(y/n). I know.” Archie looked down sheepishly at his feet as he said it, kind of glad she never brought up his football, when he was around her all he cared about was music, “I have been wondering if maybe…” he trailed off not really knowing where he was going with this.

“Maybe what?” she asked kindly, making her way down the stages stairs and to the auditorium where he stood,

“You would help me study. Music I mean, I was late starting.” He mentally kicked himself for chickening out but he now knew the real reason all the big guys went soft on her, her eyes were like molten pools that seemed to shine. She smiled innocently, everything about her was innocent she didn’t seem to be corrupted like most of the people in this town,

“Of course,” she said softly and with what he thought (and hoped) was a hint of disappointment. Turning, she went back up onto the stage to the piano and took her seat once again beckoning him to follow. He stood awkwardly behind her until she sifted over ever so slightly allowing him to sit beside her, “What do you need help with?” she pulled out her sheet music once again and placed it on the stand before tucking a pencil behind her ear,

“have you ever considered teaching someone piano?” he asked skeptically,

“I can try my best” she smiled before she started talking again but he zoned out watching the way her lips moved or how her long, delicate fingers would move across the keys with no visible effort. It wasn’t until she took his hand in hers placing it on the keys beneath hers did he snap out of it. His heartbeat elevating like never before as he turned to look at her his hand still under hers, playing keys he had never used before and playing music they were making together as she finally turned too look at him, their faces astonishingly close to one another,

“(y/n).”
“Yes?”

“I would very much like to admit that I think you’re beautiful.” He didn’t fully know where the confidence came from, perhaps it was the feeling of her hand on his but he moved, reaching his hand up to remove the pencil from behind her ear and admired how her hair fell with it. Pushing it back he glanced at her lips, “I would also very much like to kiss you.” She didn’t say anything. She simply leaned into him, pushing her lips against his softly as if she was once again scared so he pressed himself further into her, wrapping his hand into her hair as he had dreamed of doing for the months he had admired her before she pulled away but stayed close to him, “Why did you stay away from me?” he asked timidly, so not to upset her after their moment,

“because it would have been hard to sit there and be close to you and not kiss you.” she murmured in reply, shocking him,

“Wait, what?” he moved a little further away to look at her, his hand still playing with her hair,

“maybe it was your laugh, or your eyes, or your smile. It could have been your hair, or your voice, or your personality. Whatever it was, it made me fall pretty damn hard.” she confessed looking into his eyes intently making him kiss her again, making her gasp a little in shock but returning the chaste kiss,

“Why didn’t you tell me all of this, instead of running away?” he looked confused like a lost puppy and tilted his head a little, “Why did you avoid me?”

“Because, for the first time, I didn’t want to make a fool of myself.” she admitted, turning back to look at the keys, Archie placing his hand on hers once again but this time on his lap, “so I listened to you singing from afar, in the common room, in class, when you were with your friends. And I would come to your football games, I would watch from the side of the bleachers where I couldn’t be seen by the other players for once. I mean, I love them guys, they were good to me but they weren’t you.”

“Wait, what?”

“Archie, I’m a pretty loud outgoing person but around you? You reminded me what butterflies felt like and I could never stop loosing my breath when I saw you looking back at me. That day when you helped me in music? Nothing could beat the butterflies I felt when I was around you. You made me feel a kind of happiness I’ve never experienced before.” He looked at her falling more in love with her by the second, by every word she said,

“Butterflies, eh?” he smirked a little making her laugh quietly, “So I guess what I felt wasn’t just a crush?”
“Never just a crush” she looked up at him, her eyes shinning in a completely different way, in a better way, “anyway, music” he smiled like an idiot,

“Right, music.”

Can you imagine Isak's face when he finds out about Evan's mums?Something like when Evan opened his locker in that iconic way.And maybe Evan didn't tell him, bc why it's completly normal and ok(and he's kind of bitch and loves teasing him)and when he brings him to a family dinner two sweet women rushed to hug Isak and give him kiss on cheek for greeting and Isak has that"what's happening"face( same when Evan kissed him after meeting the boy squad and "u r so hot Isak" sentence)&Evan is laughing

ok so, i lied. i made this into a (sort of?) fic. so, here’s 3k words of isak finding out even has two moms. i’m sorry.

Isak is maybe, possibly freaking out. Just a little bit. Not actual, full on anxiety that makes him feel like his heart is beating as fast as a hummingbird’s, but. He’s getting there.

Even had said it so naturally too, just what do you say we drop by tomorrow?, and he had actually looked kind of nervous, to his credit, but more about Isak’s answer than actually having him meet his fucking parents.

And of course it’s easy for Even, Isak has never once seen him uncomfortable in a social situation. Even when they were standing in the tram, stealing little glances at each other and smiling nervously, Isak too fucking shy around Even to say anything, Even had managed to smooth his way through it, awesome conversation, though. So it’s understandable he’s not nervous about hanging out with three people he loves. But Isak, he can’t even have lunch with his own parents without feeling incredibly uncomfortable, let alone his boyfriend’s. What would he even say? Hello, Mr and Mrs Næsheim, I sucked your son off in the shower the other day, congrats on the genes!

ZEN

  • She’s the only family member that he can still tolerate, tbh
  • He calls and visits frequently. Though he wants her to come with him, knowing fully well how toxic the home environment is, his financial state isn’t stable enough yet and there’s also legalities involved.
  • He was probably the one who fought tooth and nail with his mom to get her properly treated and diagnosed when she just brushed it off as “a teenage phase”
  • He sneaks her out of school on days she doesn’t feel well enough to be in school bc Mom wouldn’t let her stay at home

“Y/N?” You turns over to your window sill, cheeks blotchy and eyes red from crying. School stress, exams, strained friendships, endless days of unexplainable loneliness and fatique plagued your teen life. It feels so small in comparison to all the problem of the world, yet why do you feel so suffocated?

“How are you doing, little bird?” Zen falters a bit when he notices your tears, but he doesn’t comment on it. You wonder how he has managed to pick up on your sour mood when you have been nothing but jokes and memes that afternoon. ‘Brother senses tingling’ probs. “Wanna come with me? we can buy some junk food, or something nice. I dunno. Up to you.” He winks and you smile, sluggishly crawling out of bed. You two eat shit food and fishbread, joking until you could smile again without feeling guilty for having fun.

You come to school the next morning to find your favourite teacher explaining that Zen has contacted them regarding the hard time you are having. After some negotiation with your other teachers, you have gotten extra time on some assignments and offers for extra tutoring if you need it.

Jumin

  • When she was first diagnosed, he took the time to research everything so he’d get an idea of what she’s going through.
  • He comes to personally pick her up after her sessions because he knows it’s often the time she’s most vulnerable. Also, he gets to give her psychiatrists/therapists The Glare to make sure they’re still on their A-game.
  • He doesn’t understand memes but he sends the “:)” emoticon whenever she sends him a rare pepe.
  • If her anxiety makes it hard to go to school, she’d have personal tutors and Jumin probs frequently check in on her if he isn’t too busy. Chairman Han be like “I think she should be outside interacting with people” and Jumin is just like “she’s interacting with me and Elizabeth aren’t we people”

The company’s New Year party is getting a bit too loud and you regret agreeing to come along. Your stylist, friends and brother had assured you that you look great, but every glance your way sent a wave of panic through you. Have you sat on something and stained your designer dress? Did you smear your lipstick across your face and is unknowingly walking around, looking like a clown? Are you slouching too much? Talking too little? Walking too awkwardly??

Your older brother stands on a podium, giving a casual speech with a glass of champagne in hand and you wonder— how? How could he do it like that? Look like that? Be the face of the company at such a young age, while you cling desperately to anything, anything, floundering and grasping for some sort of footing in life? He suddenly catches your eye and smiles at you. “I’d also like to thank my little sister for coming tonight,” he adds and you look down, smiling timidly. Despite everything, the hidden words ring between the both of you. “Let’s toast to the new year, everyone.”

You end up leaving early at Jumin’s insistence after you briefly commented that you are feeling a bit jittery and light-headed. “Get an early rest,” he tells you after escorting you out to the car. “Hug Elizabeth for me. I’ll be home late.” Later on, when you are safely tucked in bed with a happy feline in your arm, you find a text from Jumin. “You looked great tonight. I’m proud of you.” Attached with a picture:

IDEK GUYS LEZZGO

That weekend, Will received a message that caught him off guard. He had been so focused on his conversation with Nico throughout the week that he’d forgotten about Joey. At least until his name lit up his phone screen.

Movie tonight? I can pick you up?

The message made Will feel guilty and uncertain. A week ago, the idea of going on a date was exciting and even a relief. At the time there was no possibility of one day getting back together with Nico. There was no urge to spend every waking moment texting him and smiling over stupid messages throughout the night until Cecil threw a pillow at him and told him to at least silence the phone.

A week ago, he’d wanted nothing more than to tear Nico out of his heart. He would’ve agreed to the date without mulling it over so much.

Now, though, he wasn’t so sure. Going on a date now would feel wrong. In the back of his mind, he would feel guilty because of Nico. Because Nico was trying so hard to be better. He was trying hard to be Will’s friend again. And Will didn’t want to repay it by going on a date behind his back.

Instead of answering, he called Joey and hoped to find a way out of the date without necessarily having to explain his entire situation.

“Hey there, doc,” Joey greeted.

AU,EVERYONE is clueless, and Amara is the vodka aunt that asks"when will you get married, Castiel? My friends' nephews&nieces have kids, your siblings too.what about you?" "I'm getting married soon, not an actual date yet but soon" "to whom?"(Anyone can ask) "didn't you know about Dean and I?We're dating since college..." "We thought you were good friends, sweetie..."(&if Sam/Eileen will be side pairing it'd be awesome.(I'm also a fan of Jimmy/Amelia but I know not everyone is,but I think it fits)

I’ll own I love this trope.

*

“Cas, Cas, sweetie, little sassy-Cassie-lassie,” Amara patted Castiel on the head, ignoring his discouraging scowl. “What I’m saying is - Jimmy is married now! We know, we all get, that you were worried about him, that you were waiting for him to tie the knot first. After the scare he gave you over that horrible…what’s-her-name?…the point is, I love Amelia, and Jimmy loves Amelia, and you love Amelia - not like Jimmy does, of course, that’s why this is his wedding and not yours! - but now Jimmy is safe and taken care of and you need to find someone for you!”

Naomi, Chuck, Anna, all his siblings, heck, even Jimmy and Amelia nodded their agreement.

Stunned, Castiel turned to Dean, he smirked and gave him a knowing wink.

“They’re right,” said Dean blithely. “When are you going to tie the knot, Novak?”

“Are you asking, Winchester?” Cas asked. “Cause I’d say yes if you’d just get off your lazy butt about it.”

“Not like that.” Amara rolled her eyes and thwapped him on the arm. “I’m being serious, Cassie. You’ve been single forever. You need a girlfriend.”

“Did you hear that, Dean?” Castiel shot back Dean’s look and returned his blithe tone ten-fold. Dean looked as stunned as Castiel felt, mouth hanging open. “I’ve been single. I need a girlfriend.”

“Oh,” whispered Dean. He looked green around the gills, and Cas couldn’t blame him. Coming out to Dean’s family had been…interesting…but they’d been spared that with Cas’ family because everyone had, since day one, been so accepting of Dean.

Given how Naomi was now echoing Amara’s concerns about Castiel’s long-term bachelorhood, apparently they’d been less accepting and understanding than Castiel could even fathom.

“Dean, will you get me a drink? I think I need a moment with my family,” said Castiel. Dean opened his mouth to protest but Cas cut him off with a single sharp shake of his head. “Alone.”

“Sure thing,” said Dean, rising. His napkin, forgotten, fluttered to the floor, and Dean gave it a helpless look, shot that same look at Castiel, and bolted. Castiel’s heart ached to see Dean so perturbed. This was his fault. He should have been explicit with his family from day one, instead of assuming everything was cool. Chuck was talking now, and Castiel waited until he finished, waited until Dean stood anxiously on the end of the distant, long line at the open bar, before speaking.

“Please tell me you’re all joking,” he said with deathly calm. Anger bubbled under his skin. After so many years bringing Dean to family functions, sharing a damn bedroom - heck, they’d been living together for a decade - this went beyond homophobia and into utter, willful denial of everything Cas believed, everything Cas was.

“Bro, I’m worried about you,” Jimmy said. There wasn’t a trace of irony in his voice.

Someday, Cas would have a long conversation with Jimmy about what a selfish, oblivious asshole he could be, but today was not that day. At least at Sam and Eileen’s wedding the previous year, all the talk had been about when Dean and Cas would be getting married, since Sam had declared that anyone who couldn’t accept them as a couple wasn’t welcome at his nuptials, even though that had meant denying invitations to both his parents.

Cousin Uriel was talking now. Everyone had accepted Uriel’s parent’s interracial marriage without the bat of an eyelash! But apparently…

Castiel couldn’t keep red fury from his face. His hands shook, he was so mad.

Amara picked up his mood first; even in her drunken enthusiasm to find him a girlfriend, she went pensive and concerned, eyeing. Amelia, bless her, noticed next, and poked at Jimmy until he realized as well that something was truly amiss. His parents followed, then his other uncle and aunt, and finally the cousins, until everyone at the family table stared at him, and not a single damn one of them actually saw him.

“What you all just did to me - and especially to Dean - is beyond cruel,” he said softly, watching them hang on his every word.

“Dean’s a big boy,” said Chuck, glancing uncertainly toward where Dean waited in line. “I think he could handle being…what’s the word?…sexiled for the night. I saw it on TV, aren’t you supposed to put a sock on the door handle or something?”

“Surely he dates,” added Amara as if she was declaring a fait accompli on the entire discussion.

“Yes, he does,” Castiel said.

“Then why don’t–”

“Dean dates me,” interrupted Castiel, shouting his anger loudly enough that half the tent went silent and turned toward him. Many heads than turned toward Dean, who suddenly looked like he could disappear. Suiting action to expression, Dean fled the tent. Castiel longed to go after him, but he had something to take care of first. “And I date Dean. I’ve been bringing him to Thanksgiving and Christmas for five damn years. We’ve been living together since college! What the hell have you been thinking all these years?”

“You’re a…?” Jimmy looked horrified, and Castiel felt sick. I’m sorry to ruin your wedding day with my spontaneous coming out, brother, but if you weren’t such a dense, self-centered fuckstick this would never have happened.

“James Michael Novak, don’t even think of finishing that sentence,” Naomi said in a ringing voice that, mercifully, pulled attention from Castiel to her. “Cas, we thought you and he were close friends. I’ve wondered, from time to time, but I always assumed you’d tell us if you were a couple! You’d mentioned his family hadn’t taken his coming out well, so we tried to make him feel welcome here.”

“You’re really going to pull the ‘we didn’t say it explicitly so it’s our fault’ card?” Castiel replied acidly. “Amara, you walked in on us making out two years ago! Amelia, you’ve been calling him my boyfriend for a year! And Jimmy! I knew you were a tool sometimes but when we had those chats while I was in college, who the hell did you think I was talking about?”

“We’re identical twins, and I’m straight,” said Jimmy. He at least seemed contrite, and suitably ashamed of himself. “I just assumed…”

“Look, I’m going to go find my not-at-all platonic life partner slash boyfriend slash lover slash hopefully fiancee to be whom you assholes have driven out of the room,” said Castiel. “You…talk about this, or about the wedding, or about yourselves, or about whatever it is you talk about when you’re being utterly fucking oblivious. If you want us to back, come find us. Otherwise, see you…how about never.”

Stunned expressions followed Castiel silently as he stormed from the tent, seething. His vision flashed red as he stepped out into the stunning sunlight outside. It had been such a nice day, a lovely wedding, perfect weather, good food, Castiel hadn’t even blown his toast, and now…

Extensive gardens made tracking Dean down challenging, and it took nearly ten minutes to locate him staring at the fountain burbling pleasantly in the center of the hedge maze.

“Hello, Dean,” Castiel said.

Dean didn’t turn around, but he murmured, “hey, Cas. Sorry I fucked up both our families.”

Closing the space between them, Cas laid a hand on Dean’s shoulder. “No. You did nothing wrong. If it’s anyone’s fault other than their’s, then it’s mine for not explicitly saying years ago that you and I were a thing.”

Dean reached into his pocket, pulled out his fist wrapped around something, and pressed it into Castiel’s hand. Velvet crushed soft beneath his fingers, and Castiel didn’t need to look to recognize the shape and material.

“Dean…when were you going to…”

“I’d like to say tonight, but the truth is, I’ve been carrying that around for like three months,” said Dean, shaking his head. “Got news for you, Cas - you’re boyfriend is a fricken idiot. Today just goes to show…again…”

Pressing close to Dean’s back, Castiel wrapped his arms around Dean’s perfect waist, nuzzled at Dean’s perfect neck, breathed in Dean’s perfect scent, and spoke to him softly. “I hate when you put yourself down. We’ve both made mistakes over the years, but I wouldn’t want to make them with anyone else.” He paused, then chuckled. “And, since miscommunication seems to be the language of the day, just to be explicit, yes, of course I’ll marry you.”

Dean sighed and relaxed back against Castiel.

Applause broke out. Tensing, Castiel turned, Dean turning with him. His entire family stood at the gap in the hedges that led into the central chamber of the maze. Amara was crying.

“Welcome to the family, Dean.”

Heck, Castiel was crying, and Dean was crying, and unlike Amara, they weren’t nearly drunk enough to blame it on the Champagne.

This is the nicest wedding I’ve ever been to…

Loki x Reader: Honeymooners pt 1

Gonna turn this into a multi chapter thing since it’s getting kinda long. The prompt about reader and Loki going undercover as honeymooners at a fancy honeymoon destination that I said I’d write forever ago but didn’t get around to

(So if you’re going under cover for anything, you’d probably want fake names, but I don’t want to make up fake names and I like using Loki’s name so yea…)

A loud ringing from your nightstand roused you from your deep sleep. Your eyes opened instantly, years of training instantly putting you on alert as you recognize a mission briefing call. “I’m here.” You answered.

"Agent, good, head up to the debriefing room,“ Mariah Hill’s voice came through the speaker, "we have your next assignment.”

You nodded, the last traces of sleep leaving you as you remembered she couldn’t see. “Should I grab my partner?”

“Not yet, he’s getting a debriefing packet but there’s classified information we need to go over with you separately.”

You raised an eyebrow. Loki, god of mischief, currently tasked with aiding SHIELD for glorified community service and thus your partner on most missions, would be debriefed separately? If you were working together, wouldn’t the logical thing be to brief you simultaneously so any ideas the other had or questions could be addressed together? You knew better than to ask questions though, Mariah would just end up repeating her orders. “Understood, I’ll be there in ten.”

“Hurry, your transport leaves in two hours, everything you need is packed, so this debriefing has to be fast.”

You sighed as she hung up, failure to plan on SHIELD’s part always warranted an emergency on your part. Hopefully the travel time would be long so you and Loki could fill each other in on anything that had been missed. Still, something about separate briefings disturbed you. No sense in worrying about it now though, time was ticking and you still needed to shower.

Ten minutes later, you were rushing into the briefing room where Mariah sat at a long high-tech table, a TV screen displaying a mountain lodge behind her. “Recognize it?” Mariah asked, looking up as you entered.

You stared at the screen blankly, searching your memory. The lodge seemed familiar in a dreamlike way, but nothing truly stood out.

“Not sure, your history and all, but some little girls grow up planning their dream weddings and honeymoon vacations.”

You frowned glancing between her and the screen. “I’d never really thought about it, I guess. Marriage might come some day, but I’ve had other things to worry about. Maybe friends planned their’s…” You trailed off, not sure what she was getting at.

Mariah smiled, “don’t worry, it’s not a test, just was wondering if you recognized it. That’s the location of your mission. ‘Lover’s Lodge, Honeymoon Resort’, honeymoon destination of only the wealthiest and luckiest clients. It’s such a destination resort that any who attend have to prove they’ve been married in the last 48 hours. Officially they prefer 24, but occasionally travel gets interrupted and they felt like expanding the inclusion list. Newlyweds plan their weddings around when there’s space available here, very exclusive.”

“I’ll bet.” You crossed your arms, not wholly impressed. Sure it was an interesting place to visit, presumably anyone lucky enough to be an actual guest would enjoy it, but that type of feather in your cap didn’t particularly interest you, not when you’d been told of an impending mission and you were very much single. Sure you pined after a guy, but he was millennia out of your league and definitely didn’t return the feelings. Plus with your busy work schedule, dating really had taken a back seat to your plans.

“So what’s the mission?” You finally prompted.

Mariah blinked, “there’s underground seismic activity. Gamma levels are off the charts. We have reason to believe a magical portal of sorts is open in an underground area. The lodge itself exists in a weird jurisdiction and since the portal is believed to be magic in nature, we need your partner to investigate it.”

“Loki.”

She nodded, “he’s uniquely equipped to handle magical enemies and we don’t particularly trust him to do anything solo. The god of lies title and history inspires a great deal of understandable distrust.”

You shrugged, “fair enough. I trust him though.”

“Which makes you uniquely suited to operate as his partner, as well as the other portion of this undercover operation.”

You were starting to get a headache, she seemed to be hinting at something without daring to say the actual nature of what she meant. “So we’re undercover as work staff?”

Mariah smiled thinly, “I was hoping you might’ve guessed… no, the owner needs to be investigated to see if he has any part to play in the operation of this portal and the background checks and period of time it would take to sneak you into the workforce would be far too long.”

“So?” You prompted, mind not quite working.

“I need you to go undercover as guests. Far more freedom to move around this way.”

You swallowed hard, mind reeling. “But guests have to be newlyweds…”

Mariah held up a sheet of paper. Warily, you took it from her, examining it carefully. There in crisp new letters, signed by the state of New York, lay your full name married to Loki Laufeyson. You looked up at her stunned, “what the hell is this?”

“Less than 48 hour old marriage license between you and Loki, thought that was clear. We have wedding pictures as well as several witnesses that can attest the validity of your wedding.”

“You married me to Loki without either of us knowing?” No wonder they didn’t want Loki in attendance, he was sure to be pissed.

“It’s forged, but will fool the admissions there, we snuck a different couple in several weeks ago to make sure. You’re going undercover as a newlywed couple, enjoying all the amenities and making sure to close that portal and if necessary, remove the owner from his position, assuming he is involved. Think of it as a working vacation.”

“With an ornery god, you do know Loki isn’t going to be pleased.”

“It’s a six hour car trip, you’ll have plenty of time to warn him. And it’s by limo, refrigerator and bar fully stock, all expenses paid.”

“What if I refuse?”

“You’ll be out of a job.” Mariah glared at you.

Your eyes flashed, “I’m one of your most loyal and successful agents, one refusal and I’m out on the streets?”

Mariah sighed, “no, you’ll be heavily reprimanded and demoted, pay cut and put on leave, but please, you’re the only one qualified to do this, we need you.”

“You need Loki.”

“He won’t work with anyone else, there’s no punishment we can give him, all of it has to be willing. Even threat of returning to prison on Asgard hardly bothers him. Please, he seems to like you.”

You grit your teeth, that was the bitter crux of it. That Loki considered you an acquaintance of sorts but would never share your feelings. To have to openly act as though you were madly in love with him, only to return to hiding your feelings would kill you. Worse, Loki would either pretend to go along with it and not see how badly it tore you apart each moment, or he would refuse because ultimately he couldn’t even tolerate you as a friend. Nothing of this mission wouldn’t end extremely painfully for you. “Fine, but I’m getting another more expensive vacation after this.”

“It’s practically a vacation already, other than the portal.”

“And an obstinate Loki. That’s the only way I’m agreeing.” You crossed your arms.

“We’ll take it up with Fury, no absolute promises, but I’m sure we can manage something.”

“Good.”

By the time your conversation ended, you were becoming pressed for time. You practically flew out of the room, rushing down the many stairs and out to the waiting limo that Loki sat in, already looking annoyed. His arms were crossed as he glared sullenly out the tinted windows, fingers tapping in time to some unheard beat. “Sorry,” you panted, scrambling in beside him. A soft smile touched the corners of his mouth upon seeing you, “got held up with Mariah.”

Loki nodded, “for a moment, I was worried they might send a replacement for you.”

“Can’t get rid of me that easily.” You winked, settling in as the car lurched forward.

Loki nodded curtly, that smile once more returning. “I take it there’s a reason we were informed separately.”

“Oh yea, and you’re just going to love it.” Sarcasm dripped heavily from your tone and Loki raised his eyebrow curiously. Over the next hour you and Loki shared the various information regarding the specifics of the mission finally coming to the part you dreaded most.

“But all this could just as easily have been told together, why the separation?” Loki mused.

“It’s our cover,” you sighed heavily, lifting up the marriage certificate. Loki frowned, “I suppose I didn’t think we’d spend long there.” You shook your head, “part vacation since it’s a resort and SHIELD is cheap, and we need to investigate the owner as guests. It’s easier than getting us jobs apparently.”

Loki squinted at the paper, “we’re married?” He looked up at you and blinked.

You popped the cork off the bottle you’d been struggling to open, “only technically,” you said taking a long swill. “It’s a forgery but best in the business. Sorry to do that to you, only way they could think of apparently.”

Loki shrugged, “I could think of worse covers.”

You looked at him, mid drink. Slowly you removed the bottle, “really?”

“They could have placed me with a different agent, which would be insufferable.”

You laughed, “yea, I guess.” Still your heart ached, not sure how to vocalize your feelings.

Loki could see the sadness in your eyes but didn’t seem to realize what caused it. “What if we made it into a competition?”

“A competition?” You repeated.

“Whoever appears the better and more in love spouse, the winner.”

You winced internally but you knew you loved a good challenge. Almost unwittingly, you heard yourself answer, “you’re on, I’m going to kick your ass at this.”

“My love, that you could think to hurt me?” Loki placed his hand over his heart in shock.

You scowled, “you didn’t say we started yet!”

“Fair enough agent.”

“What’s the loser have to do?”

“I’m sure I’ll think of something.” Loki smirked.

Scoffing, you retorted, “yea right, I’m going to win.”

The car ride passed uneventfully, you and Loki having plenty of the finer details of the mission to discuss and plan. “So it’s in a sort of mountainous area, built on a number of natural hot springs that make for quite the scenic hot tubs.”

Loki pursed his lips, “perhaps we might skip the hot tubs?”

You stared at him blankly, “and sauna? I gather?”

Loki nodded, “I don’t care for heat much.” He trailed off, looking away. You didn’t press him, but he had alluded to not tolerating heat in the past, perhaps this was related.

“It’s built over an inactive volcano, I believe, dig deep enough and you’ll find lava but no worries of eruption in my life time. At least that’s what SHIELD’s experts seem to think.”

“Is that related to the portal?”

“More like a fun fact.” You shrugged, “and a tram that can take guests down to the beach, only an hour’s ride. Sunbathing could be fun.”

Chuckling, Loki reached for his drink, “I’m sure the number of newlyweds enjoying the sunset will be amusing.”

“Probably. The tram doesn’t stop, every half hour all night. Midnight swims on a clothing optional beach.” You swallowed hard, trying not to picture Loki partaking in that.

“They really are encouraging intimacy everywhere, aren’t they?” Loki blinked, studying you.

The look he gave you was so intense, you found yourself turning away, if only to hide your blush. “Guess so. At least no one will check on whether or not guests do, right?” You forced a weak laugh.

Loki nodded thoughtfully, “that would be awfully invasive of them.”

Sleeping with Loki, or rather sleeping with Loki had only briefly crossed your mind. It would be hard to get around not sharing a bed but two mature adults could handle that surely, but if anyone noticed? That would be the final nail in your coffin to fake sex with Loki just to maintain your cover, or real but wasn’t mutually desired.

“Agent?” Loki prompted, pulling your mind back to the present.

“Meeting the owner might be challenging if he’s behind the portal.” You forced yourself to change the subject. “Though I believe he greets each couple personally during their stay, guess we’ll have to meet as many couples as possible to increase our chances of running into him.”

Loki sighed, resting his chin on his fist, “wonderful, socializing with mortals.”

-

“Oh! Loki!” You paused, “I mean, darling look! We’re here I think!”

Loki straightened up, roused from his bored stupor and followed your pointing finger out the window. For the past half hour, the limo had been winding its way slowly upwards through a forested mountainside and it had at long last shown signs of nearing a massive resort. The picture Mariah had shown you really didn’t do the place justice for its size and splendor, anyone fortunate enough to visit would definitely have to pay a small fortune.

Loki chuckled at your pet name for him, “So we have, congratulations on our first day of marriage.”

You reached for your phone and opened it, noticing a barrage of pictures featuring you and Loki photoshopped into a number of wedding poses. It had been a small, private affair apparently, contrasting notably with the amount that would go towards the honeymoon but it was evidently about the two of you and no one else.

Loki leaned against you, staring down at the pictures. You could feel your cheeks heating in a blush at the close proximity, you had been this close before and managed to hide your feelings, why was it suddenly different? You silently admonished yourself.

“That’s a lovely dress,” Loki murmured, tilting his head to the side. His long hair brushed against your cheek and you fought back a shiver. “Somehow, I think the dress would look better on the actual you, not this model they chose.”

You furrowed your brows, surprised by the sincerity of the compliment. Opening your mouth, you looked up to ask him if he was acting or meant it but Loki’s attention was already back to the sprawling grounds of the resort. Your mouth fell shut and you stayed quiet.

The limo finally rolled to a stop, the door opening as the two of you scrambled out. Loki left first, turning around and offering you his hand to help you, placing a gentle kiss on it before allowing you to straighten up completely out of the car.

You closed your eyes, praying silently for patience, strength to make it through this mission, then slowly opened them and beamed at Loki. The flirtatious giggle came easy to you as you leaned forward and pecked his cheek. Loki stiffened for a moment, before sinking into your touch as though it were the most natural thing ever.

“Do you have the marriage license, love?”

“Right here, sweetie.” You giggled again, waving it for him.

Loki pursed his lips, eyes darkening, clearly not amused by the pet name. If you were going to suffer, dying for this to be real, you might as well punish Loki with cute names. A hotelier approached as the two of you stood there, no time to turn back now.

I saw one of your tags say that you're not sure Sam would be ok with Destiel and I'm curious why. Do you think it'd be like the Benny situation again or something else? I didn't ship Denny but I don't think Sam likes when someone else comes before him in Dean's eyes. (I can't see Sam not liking Desitle as a homophobic thing, but ya never know.) Anyway I'm genuinely curious because I could see Sam not exactly like a shipper but ultimately ok with it.

Hi! I have to say, I’m always torn when I hear about people reading my tags, because on the one hand I’m vain and prideful and they’re written to be read, but on the other, tagging is like talking to yourself, so - *blushes slightly*.

Anyway, first things first - before I discovered what a fandom was, I was a total sucker for shipper!Sam. My doubts didn’t begin until after I’d read a shitload of fanfiction about it, and something really rotten in my brain was like, What if Sam wasn’t okay with it, though? because I always like to be contrary and to turn things on their heads and see how they work and if they still work. So I’ve got no real problems with shipper!Sam. It’s just - I sometimes wonder - generally when I’m writing myself - what would be more interesting from a narrative point of view - if it’d be better to have Sam in the background, hanging up mistletoe and leaving The letter of the day is B leaflets around the Bunker or if it’d be easier for Dean to have something to push against. I think a case could be made either way - but if TPTB would have wanted to go down that first road, they probably wouldn’t have killed off Charlie, since she would have been (and she probably was) an even better shipper and wingman than Sam.

That said, I have two arguments against shipper!Sam.

One: Sam is way more messed up than he lets on, and some part of it is terrified not only that Dean will walk away, but that Dean will fall in love with someone and actually pursue that. I know I’ve seen this discussion go down somewhere, but I honestly don’t remember who first came up with this - apologies, guys - the fact that Sam is an all or nothing kind of guy. Like, when he went to Stanford, that was it - he never contacted John, or even Dean, again. For years. And the same happened when he was with Amelia - he just - I don’t know, cut himself off? I’m not sure if it’s his personality, or a by-product of his less than ideal childhood, but Sam’s got trouble to let people into his life, and once they’re in, it’s like there isn’t room for anyone else? Which is a childish trait, of course, and it signals a lack of emotional maturity on his part (not surprising - poor Sammy). And since Sam tends to relate with other people through his own experiences, part of him surely assumes Dean’s exactly the same; that if Dean found himself a new best friend, or a better hunting partner, or even a spouse of some kind, he’d just walk away and that would be it. So in this sense, Sam would feel threatened by any relationship Dean could potentially develop, not only by Cas.

Two, we used to see Sam as the shades of grey brother, but the amazing thing about this show is that Sam and Dean went through a lot of character development resulting in them almost swapping the roles they had in the first seasons - and yet all this feels natural and completely believable. So these days, Dean’s more likely to be the one who gives monsters a pass (hell, look at his relationship with Crowley), while Sam’s become sort of judgemental and what needs must. I think it was Ruby, most of all, who scarred Sam from the inside out and made him so much more conservative, or pragmatic (like, look at him now - he’s more willing than Dean to work with the BMoL, because he’s Mr Head Choice or something). Sam took a huge risk in liking and trusting Ruby, and it all hinged on a sort of anti-racism argument - an I don’t care if she’s a demon, because even demons can be nice and Our biology doesn’t determine our destiny and whatever else. Dean had shut him down about this, of course, but Sam had persisted - and I know there were other elements at play here, but to me, the central point was exactly this: a pigheaded and generous and noble willingness to trust a creature you don’t understand at all and you’ve got no reason to trust. Now, of course things are different with Cas, because Cas has proven, time and again, that Dean’s safety would be his number one priority and all that, but I’m still not convinced Sam would actively want that for Dean. After all, Sam’s seen this other, softer side of Dean’s - he’s seen him around kids (he remembers him from their shared childhood) and he’s heard (a bit) about how happy he was with Robin and whatever, so I sometimes feel Sam still wants the Sookie ending for Dean: a chance to have a true family of his own, and a life Dean could finally lead in full view of everybody, without shame or weirdness or sigils carved on the walls. And I’m not sure this is something Cas would be able to give Dean.

Finally, there’s the whole bisexuality deal. Here, I have to say - I don’t know what to think. I’m sure Sam’s got no problem with queer people, but it’s always slightly different when it’s your family, right? And there are days I think Sam must know - Jesus, they’ve been sharing a room for thirty years - and days when I think that no, that parent/child thing they’ve got going is way too strong for Sam to see the whole picture (to even think about it).

(Like, I know it was supposed to be funny and that I’m reading too much into it, but Sam recoiling when Rowena suggested he undress Dean and check his chest hair or something - to me, that was emblematic of how their relationship works. Dean’s changed Sam’s diapers, has helped him to get dressed for years, surely bathed him and watched him play with that one plastic submarine they’d scavenged somewhere and, years later, he stitched him up and massaged weird herbal salves over his bruises and whatever - but to Sam, of course, it’s weird to think about his brother’s body at all, because that’s the relationship we have with our parents: when you actually have to take care of them that way, it means things have got very bad and very scary.)

In any case, at the very least Sam would be worried about Dean’s safety (and there’s always that heartbreaking thing, right, that if you’re bi and you can be happy with a woman - man, it’d be so much easier) - but one big reason to be optimistic in this sense was this new development we’ve seeing - that openly gay hunters can actually exist in the community without being bothered.

(Then again, judging from the news coming about the US, I sometimes feel Dean and Cas could have their college AU life only in a big city, and not in one of those wild, road off to the horizon states where Dean feels most at home. So, well - I really don’t know.)

Anyway - we know so little about Sam, it’s likely that anything could work concerning his approach to the Destiel situation. I guess we’ll have to wait and see.

A/N: This was my very first request :D So I hope whoever sent it in, enjoys it!

——————-

It was almost seven in the morning when you clocked in for your shift. It was a particularly dreary Monday morning, but that didn’t dampen your spirits. This was the busiest time at the coffee shop, everyone wanted something to keep them awake at work. Especially the lawyers who worked at the big fancy firm across the street.

You loved the hustle and bustle of your job and you smiled politely at the customers as you served their drinks and made casual conversation. Currently, music on the loud speaker had you swaying your hips while you took dishes to the sink in the back.

The tinkling of the bell on the door told you that more people were coming in and you threw a glance over your shoulder. Two familiar men walked in both of them tall, one with his hair tied back, the other lacking it completely. Lafayette and Washington. At least those were the names they always put on their orders.

3. Wingman // Klance

« {Part 3 of my Valentine’s collection.} »

The space bar was exactly what Keith would have expected a space bar to look like. He almost expected the Star Wars cantina song to start playing.

“Dude! Check out that giant keg thing! Oh my god, I’m going to get space-wasted!” Lance said, shifting from foot to foot in excitement. “Do they have legal drinking ages here in space? Shit, I don’t have a space-ID—”

“I’m sure it’s fine,” Hunk said. “Look—they’re not even asking for ID. It looks like… self-serve?”

He pointed at where some short alien people were serving themselves cups of electric green liquid from the “keg thing” Lance had noticed earlier. The aliens put coins into a slot and then pressed a button to fill their cups.

“Let’s just get some of it before Shiro and Allura notice we’re gone,” Pidge said. “I really don’t want to get another lecture about responsibility.”

“Psh. They’re still at that space movie theater. We’re free for the next couple hours for sure,” Lance said. He sidled up next to Keith, slinging an arm over his shoulder. “So, what do you say—should we get completely shit-faced?”

Keith rolled his eyes. “You’re ridiculous.”

“Hey, you didn’t have to come along,” Lance said, poking a finger at Keith’s chest. Then he turned to Hunk. “Hey, Hunk—be my wingman for tonight? There have to be some pretty alien ladies in this bar.”

“Uh,” Hunk said. He shot a quick glance at Keith and then looked back at Lance. “Not tonight, man. Sorry. Pidge and I were going to…”

“We were going to play space foosball,” Pidge said quickly. “I thought I saw it when we came in, so….”

“Yeah,” Hunk agreed. “We’re going to do that.”

“Well, damn,” Lance said. He looked back at Keith. “Well, it looks like you’re going to have to be my wingman tonight, Keith. You up for it?”

Over Lance’s shoulder, Hunk and Pidge gave Keith a pitying look. He sighed. “Sure, I guess,” he said. “Why not?”

Why not wingman for Lance? Why not wingman for the guy he might sort of actually like in a not-so-platonic way?

This wasn’t going to end well.

Part Three (One) (Two)

As your eyes slowly fluttered open, the first thing you noticed was the smell; something comforting and so very familiar, something quite different from what you had grown used to over the past few days. You noticed the softness of the comforter that enveloped you, and how you felt somewhat numb all over, then the faint sound of music from another room. It wasn’t until you glanced around the room that you saw the layout of what seemed to be a bedroom, the dull light of a lamp bouncing off the muted grey walls

And then you saw him.

Sitting cross legged beside you on the queen-sized bed, fingers clenched around an energy drink and eyes heavy-lidded, Michael definitely looked worse for wear. His clothes and hair were clean, though, so someone was making sure he’d at least somewhat taken care of himself. “Michael,” you murmured softly, you voice so hoarse it was almost silent.

It was enough to grab his attention though, and pull him out of the half-asleep state he was in, eyes wide and alert as his head almost snapped turning to face you. “Holy shit,” his voice was barely a whisper, and he stayed still for a moment, almost as if in shock, before moving to cup your face gently. “(Y/n), I— fuck, I was so worried,” he leaned down to plant a kiss on your forehead. “I was so goddamn afraid we wouldn’t make it in time, I was so fuckin scared, I—” he paused, taking the time to kiss away the tears along your cheekbones. “Holy shit,” somehow his voice was even softer, “you’re here, you’re alive, you—”

Wonho - “Hey, Wonho-oppa.” “What.” He looked at you with slight interest. You two were doing whatever couples do in the city of Seoul– visiting boutiques and buying from food stands whenever one came by. You were holding his phone in your hand when suddenly, you placed the screen next to your twisted face, “What do you call a blind dinosaur?” Already knowing where this was going to go, Wonho could only chuckle at your silliness. He never really understood these kinds of things and only went along with your joke. “What?” He smiled when he saw you make finger guns at him. “Doyouthinkhesaurus.” Wonho shook his head, chuckling at your terrible but adorable joke as he placed his arm around your shoulder and dragged you to another boutique. “We’re going to get you a better joke. And some dank memes because you’ve been looking at the wrong ones. I’d tell you a chemistry joke but I’m afraid I’ll get a bad reaction.” At that point, Wonho made the face you wouldn’t believe.

While you chose what to order, you patiently waited for Kihyun to finish. As he did, you stared off into space when you unconsciously pursed your lips and widened your eyes. “You okay, Jagiya?” Kihyun scrunched his eyebrows as he looked at you funny. “You’re endearing by the way,” Kihyun added. You let out a playful sigh and told him, “I once had Deja-Moo before, you know, the feeling that you’ve heard this bull before.” You let out an alien-like sound and whatever was going through Kihyun’s head, the waiter saw it too. “Oh, come on! That was good!” Your fists lightly hit the table as he snapped out of his thoughts. “Oh, I’m sorry, I’ve never thought your jokes were this terrible. Terribly punny.” “Really?” “Oh come on!” If he could, he would have flipped the meat tray that arrived soon after.

As Hyungwon was picking away at a nearly-cleaned bone, you cleared your throat, grabbing him attention. “Hyungwon-oppa, I’m reading a book on anti-gravity.” You reached for a piece of chicken in front of you, acting natural. Hyungwon, on the other hand, tilted his head and questioned, “There really is a book on that? Do you like it?” “Yeah, it was impossible to put down!” You slammed your chopsticks onto your plate and made that face where you knew it was a good joke this time. Hands hitting the table and laughter that seems to only belong to yours was a time for Hyungwon to recollect his thoughts. “Wow. I once heard a joke about amnesia, but I forgot how it goes.” And then, it was his time to start laughing uncontrollably. Your face became blank and then to an “are-you-serious” look when you saw him rolling on the ground, smacking his thigh until you threw a piece of your chicken at him.

I.M - “Oppa!” You called out in the apartment. “Nae?” You found him in the kitchen, head buried in the refrigerator. You approached him with your phone in hand, a picture of the Eiffel Tower on the ground. “Do you see this?” You said, trying hold back your laughter. I.M pulled his head back and stared at you, wondering what you were going to say next. A few minutes passed and he didn’t say anything up until, “The Eiffel Tower?” “No!” You laughed and hit his chest. Okay at this point, I’m either blind or she is. I.M thought. “The I Fell Tower.” You stated. “You always do this.” I.M tilted his head back and let out a quiet laugh and ruffled your hair before you quickly fixed it. “Always making terrible jokes for me to listen to and laugh.” He grabbed a water bottle and walked out of the kitchen, saying, “Maybe next time you can top my jokes! There’s a reason why we’re called MONSTA!”

//first time doing this so I'm not sure if I'm doing it right //tell me if I'm wrong and I'll remove this Can I request a story in D:M about why and how momoi tried to hack into Masaomi's online system(seeing as in Further stories Vol2 Chap 5 Sei said something about it)

“We have to tell him,” Momoi hisses.

“No, no we don’t,” Kise whispers back, a tad desperately. “He voted for our side, Momoicchi. Against all odds, he’s approving the idea of us moving out of the base and in with our respective guardians. I don’t see any reason why we should bring up anything that might change his mind—”

“Kichan!” Momoi scolds, puffing up in outrage, “He is one of us. He is our leader. And he could be in danger. We are not going to risk his life just because you want to have sex with Kasamatsu Yukio!”

Kise scowls profoundly and hunches down. “You don’t need to put it like that. He must want to move out, too, is all I’m saying, I don’t think we need to raise unnecessary alarm just because—”

“Kichan!”

“Oh, fine!

“And what, exactly, are you two referring to?’

Both Momoi and Kise jump, startled by the unexpected voice that interrupted their hushed council. Akashi stands in the doorway, looking pleasant but also commanding, like he’s definitely not going to let them escape this conversation and also like it could be potentially dangerous for the two of them if they don’t reply.

Momoi steps forward. “I—we—are just a little concerned about you living with Akashi Masaomi, that’s all.”

“Oh?” Akashi says, his expression unchanging.

“Well, he’s a bit of an unknown,” Momoi says, suddenly a little unsure about how to broach the subject. It’s why she had asked for Kise’s advice to begin with, even though he proved to be no help at all. “He’s not like the soldiers, you know, who we’ve been living with for the past three years. He could be a threat.”

It is still next to impossible to guess what Akashi is thinking, but then, Momoi has always had a hard time reading this Akashi, and not the one she had grown up with. “Is there a particular reason why you think so?” he asks.

Momoi swallows, and looks to Kise for help, but he’s looking to his feet in an utterly useless way. “I tried to hack his computers—just to check up on him! I did that for all our future guardians, because that’s what I do, I find background information—”

“Yes, Satsuki, I know,” Akashi says.

“Right,” Momoi falters. “Well, I couldn’t, you see. He has exceptionally good firewall.”

“And?” Akashi says.

Momoi completely flounders, because what does he mean, and? “I’m a Pink Two,” she says, pulling herself up, “And I am very good at what I do. There’s only been a couple times when I can’t get into someone’s system. I know you all seem to think that I know everything that Teiko did because I hacked their files, but I don’t, because everyone seems to forget that Teiko’s systems were also made by Pink Twos.”

“Yes, Satsuki, I am aware of those limitations, I am still not—oh, I see, you think that Masaomi must also have access to Pink Two developed technology.”

“Well, yes,” Momoi says, exasperated. “We know Teiko had corporate sponsors, and he is very rich, and he came out of nowhere, and all things considered, it’s not impossible that Akashi-san was involved.”

Akashi is smiling now, in a serene, smug sort of way. “Thank you for your concern, Satsuki, but I assure you, I am 100% confident that Masaomi was not involved with Teiko.”

“But how?” Kise blurts out. “How can you be confident of that?”

“Because,” Akashi says slowly, “If Masaomi had been involved with Teiko, it would not have taken them so long to develop a Success.”

He exits at that point, leaving Kise and Momoi to stare at each other, wondering through the implications of that statement.

A/N: Thank you, friend! This is the right way to submit prompts, sorry it took awhile! This is set right before they move away from the JSDF base. This is actually something that’s going to be referenced in the very long Masaomi and Youji backstory I have planned, so I was glad I had the opportunity to write it, thank you!

I'm imagining Karen at university, it's autumn and she's wearing cute sweaters with little wool skirts etc, she's persuaded to go to a pretty rough bar in town, and that's where she meets Him. He seems rough and ready, but when they start dating he's so kind & gentle with her, always encouraging her to finish assignments, walking her to lectures & meeting her from the library at night. I'm starting uni next year & this is a fantasy of mine, perhaps someone might like to write. Love your writing!

Hey Anon! First of all, let me say congrats and good luck with uni next year. Stay away from the 8 AM classes if you can and a regular sleep schedule is going to become a distant fantasy, but you should fight for it. It helps a lot. As does exercising and LOTS of water.

Second of all: you didn’t SAY Frank, but you described and I saw him. So I wrote him.

I hope you like this. Thank you for the prompt, I had fun with it.

A study in black and blue

Josie raises her eyebrows when the door opens and this life size doll walks in.

Usually, the pretty girls that walk through the door are showing either too much boob, too much stomach, or too much leg, maybe all three at once. Or they’re pretty but don’t bother with anything more elaborate than jeans and a coat over a simple t-shirt.

This one has her shiny blond hair up on a neat ponytail, enough makeup to just make you wonder if she was born like this or her cheeks are really that shade of pink, a sweater with a swan wearing a crown, the sleeves rolled up and a skirt that stops a few inches above her knees, her caramel ankle boots rising a little bit above her ankle. The bag slung on her shoulder matches it.

“Hi”, she says to Josie. “Do you know where I can find Foggy? Or Matt?”

Can you do an imagine where your best friend Jason saves your life (In a similar way where he saves his dad) and you didn't know he was the red power ranger until you found out (or maybe he told you. Any way as long as the reader knows he's a ranger)

An: This is so cute! Sorry it took so long to respond! Requests are open for multiple fandoms- feel free to request!

Why were you even here?

That, it seemed, was the million dollar question.

Why, of all days, did you decide to volunteer to help chaperone on an elementary field trip today?

You seriously wondered why you still lived in Angel Grove, all the insane attacks on this dump ass town and yet you were still here.

Maybe it was because the Power Rangers protected this city, or maybe it was because you were too tied down to leave.

Whatever the reasoning, you had really started to question yourself as you helped unload children from the bus as the newest battle raged on less than 2 blocks from you.

“I think that’s all-”

You stopped, spotting a small girl cowering in the very back of the bus.

“I’ve got her, get the others out of here!” You shouted back to the teacher and the driver as they herded the children to safety.

Crawling through the bus, you jumped as a piece of metal scraped the top.

“Hey sweetheart,” you murmured softly, crouching to look at her.

Her knees were pulled to her chest as she breathed frantically.

“Easy, it’s alright. Let’s get out of here okay?"

She nodded, reaching towards you slowly, and you scooped her up, ignoring her screech of protest.

Jogging out of the bus, you whirled around, seeing the newest big bad mere feet away from you, and you were right in the crossfire.

Shielding the girl to the best of your ability, you hurriedly began to backstep.
This was not good, definitely not a good day.

The young girl- her name was Emily if you were remembering right- was cowering into your chest.

If you thought it was too soon for you, it was way too soon for her.
Placing her down behind you, you continued urging her backwards.

The teacher shouted from a ways away and You sighed in relief. Maybe Emily could make it.

"Run!” You encouraged, wincing as the massive villain swung its head towards you.

The young girl took off, her dark brown curls bouncing behind her as you whirled around to follow.

Just as quick as the big bad’s shadow had swept above you, you were knocked out of harms way.

You groaned, rubbing your head as you took notice of the red ranger in front of you.

Off to the side, you noted that the Black ranger had Emily in his arms and was taking her to safety.

“Are you trying to get yourself killed?” The power ranger shouted in exasperation and you rolled your eyes.

“It was a little girl- what did you expect me to do?” You retorted, a blush marring your cheeks. It was one thing to be scolded by a parent or teacher, but by the cities heroes was another thing. He sighed and extended his hand, pulling you up with ease.

“You’re brave. I’m not saying what you did was wrong, I’m saying it was reckless, and I don’t want you getting hurt…” he paused as if he hadn’t meant to say that. “Take the alleyway behind Doc’s car repair, there’s a load of medics stationed there."

You stared in shock at the boy in front of you, not believing his words.

"You’re the red ranger?”

Jason nodded, running a hand through his dark blonde hair nervously as his blue eyes watched for your reaction.

"Look, I didn’t want to tell you. It’s not safe, it’s very dangerous and I don’t want you getting hur-”

You cut him off, slamming him into a hug.

"What? (Y/N) aren’t you going to yell at me about endangering myself? Or maybe berate me for not telling you sooner?” He chuckled slightly, returning the hug and placing his chin on your head.

“You saved me,” your voice was soft and muffled by his shirt and he smiled to himself. “I had always wondered what the ranger had meant by not wanting me to get hurt. I guess now I know.”

Jason laughed, pulling away to look at you.

“I was so angry at you right then. Always have to be the hero, don’t ya (N/N)?”

Scoffing, you rolled your eyes and put your hand on his shoulder.

“Says you, Jason Scott. My best friend the Red Power Ranger- who knew!"

He looked down at you quizzically.

"Besides yourself of course…”

He laughed again, you were the ray of light in his life. Sure, he had Billy, Zack, Kimberly, and Trini, but they were rangers; you weren’t.

You made all his fears and anxiety vanish; he never laughed more than he did with you.

It was nice to have his best friend by his side and finally knowing his secret too.

Nonny! The workweek from hell ate my life, but finally, here you are. I hope you like it.  It’s a summertime timestamp for Say My Name, the first Sidgeno fic I ever wrote. Title is from “Bloom,” by the Paper Kites

oh, you fill my lungs with sweetness

Sid’s officially losing his mind.

It’s not like he hasn’t been through several rounds of university finals before, but this year he’s being driven especially crazy. His course load was heavy this semester, and while he appreciated being challenged by his professors, and while he loves his major, he’s just, so.

Fucking.

Exhausted.

Pittsburgh’s having a heat wave, and the hot, sticky weather clogs Sid’s lungs with humid air and makes him feel tired and drained all the time. Perversely, despite being Russian, Zhenya revels in weather like this. While Sid daydreams about snow and lies on the floor in front of the fan in a puddle of sweat and misery, Zhenya swans around in loudly colored tank tops, energized by the heat. It’s rude. Because Zhenya with sun-kissed skin in tank tops (ugh, shoulders and biceps and forearms and collarbones)  is a temptation Sid does not have time for.
