valjean insisting on eating the blackened bits of bread, and cosette being like, why are you doing that? and valjean giving her some answer that’s like, because i don’t deserve better!! and cosette being like, well, i’m going to eat the blackened bits, too, then, and therefore forcing valjean to eat better.
valjean watching cosette put cherries in her ears and prob laughing
valjean and cosette visiting the needy and the sick together.
valjean giving cosette a garden and cosette leaving no stone unturned, observing the insects in the grass, and looking at the stars through the trees.
cosette thinking her mother’s soul had passed into valjean and shedding a tear.
valjean being worried that cosette will grow up and grow away from him.
cosette, having realized she was beautiful and having fallen in love with marius, becoming an individual. valjean recognizing this.
cosette and valjean both “suffering by each other and through each other; without speaking of it, without harsh feeling and smiling all the while.”
valjean nonstop keeping himself alone with cosette.
valjean saving marius because he can not bear to see cosette upset, although he resents marius for ‘taking her away’.
cosette seeing valjean just before he dies, insisting that valjean will not die, and weeping for him and kissing his hands ceaselessly as he does.
valjean approving of marius because he is grateful to marius for making cosette happy.
valjean bequeathing his candlesticks and money to cosette. valjean talking about the little funny experiences he had shared with cosette and discussing cosette’s mother with her for the first time. valjean talking about his difficulty in not seeing her. valjean telling cosette that he loves her and placing his hand on her head a final time.
what she means :
how does George Blagden pronounce "Grantaire"? Does he say it with a british accent? Does he pronounce it with a french accent? If he does, is his pronounciation slightly influenced by his native accent or does it sound perfectly french? Did he practice? And how does he pronounce "Enjolras"? Does he put an "s" at the end or not? Did he struggle the first few times, like the rest of us? I have so many questions and so few answers
He chastely dropped his eyes before everything which was not the Republic. He was the marble lover of liberty… – So here it is – my contribution to Les Mis Tattoo Week… I’m not late this time and by far the most interesting photoshoot I have done… I figured Enjolras wouldn’t have anything too ostentatious as he leans towards being very spartan in other areas of his life. Many thanks to TranquilChaos28 for helping with this… I had no idea how I was going to accomplish this shoot by myself.
Hi there, Les Mis fandom. I (by the authority vested in me by no one) have decided that January is going to be Les Mis Ladies’ Appreciation Month, of sorts. The rules are simple:
Participate if you want, however you want. Fanart, fanfic, mata, graphics, gifs, reblogging a lot of stuff, whatever. I’m certainly not going to specify days as “fanmix day!” or “gifset day!” or anything like that. Do what you want. Just make sure it's positive/appreciative, and most importantly, spread the word about the awesomeness and importance of these ladies! There’s a ton of stuff about Les Amis and Enjolras out there already, but these girls almost always get neglected, misinterpreted, or hated on.
I know this is fairly short notice, and I’m aware that these weeks overlap with other appreciation weeks in the fandom, but that’s just gonna be how it is. A lot of us feel like it’s super important to get more love/awareness for them out there, so that’s how we’re going to start off the year! Again, you are not OBLIGATED to participate, but it would be great if you did.
Some people have asked about Musichetta, Azelma, etc.; others have suggested that the fourth and final week of January be devoted to minor female characters of Les Mis. If you want to do that, go right ahead and have fun. They all need love! I chose these three because of their importance to the overall story, but I’m not actually in charge of anything; I can’t tell you what to do or not to do. Just make whatever you do awesome, and spread the word!
-always taught to write with his right hand but is actually left handed (unfortunately his handwriting is pretty awful in either hand)
-had really thick hair when he was born
-when he lost his last hair Grantaire held a funeral for it. Joly was horrified when he got home halfway to find them both carrying shovels with Grantaire halfway through a very dramatic eulogy (and even more so when he realised they had tried to dig through the kitchen floor)
-tried to learn cane fighting once. Somehow managed to not only snap his cane but almost stabbed himself with it in the same move
-is absolutely never trusted with Musichetta’s clothes due to how often he’s ripped his own just taking them off/putting them on
What she's thinking:
Phantom of the Opera takes place 30-40 years after Les Mis in 1870 in Paris.. Were Marius and Cosette present at the theatre productions? They would've been really old. Did they look at Christine and admire her beauty as well? Were they glad she didn't have to live through what they went through? Did they have children and how many? I NEED ANSWERS
