but i wanted the hardest setting

I’m gonna be honest. I hate mornings. I’ve always wanted to be a morning person – to wake up early and energized and hop out of bed with no problem. But, instead I wake up most mornings just wanting to go back to bed. Luckily, you don’t have to be a morning person to have a productive morning.

waking up

  • Getting out of bed is the hardest part. Start with a realistic time to set your alarm – the days I set my alarm for 6 with good intentions are the days I turn it off and sleep way late. I’m much more likely to actually get out of bed if I set it for a little later.
  • I like to use an app like Sleep Cycle that wakes you up gently.
  • Or go old school and use an actual alarm clock, and kick your phone out of your room altogether.
  • As soon as you get out of bed, get dressed and make up your bed. You’ll automatically feel more productive and you’ll be way less likely to go back to sleep.

first things first

  • It’s hard to be productive on an empty stomach – eat some breakfast as soon as you feel up to it.
  • I find it hard to eat in the mornings, so I’ll usually have a light snack of fruit with coffee when I first wake up, and then eat something a little heavier around 10.
  • Get moving! whether it’s yoga, a quick run (i salute those of you who can run in the mornings), or just a couple jumping jacks.
  • Get ready for the day before you get to work. This way you 1) feel more ~human~ and productive right off the bat and 2) won’t have to stop working to get dressed later when you’ve gotten into a groove.

get to work

  • Check your planner and make plan for the day
  • Get all your supplies and your space ready
  • Fill up a water bottle so you can stay hydrated!
  • Put away distractions (install a site blocker if you need to!)
  • Put on some music that makes you feel happy
  • Knock one or two little tasks off your list first, then go on to the hardest task/one you’re dreading
  • Don’t forget regular breaks so you don’t feel burnt out by lunch!

So, I’ve been getting recently tons of questions regarding my notes, and today I decided to make a post about it. If you find it useful make sure to reblog it!

First of all lets talk about supplies.

Should you invest or stick to your regular supplies?

We’re all different and we all have different needs and economy. In my case, I love stationery but my economy right now isn’t that high to buy all of the cute stationery in the world. I’m always trying to find dupes, or products that work similar to expensive ones (i’m also guilty of doing this with makeup oops). Here goes a list of the essentials I keep on my pencil pouch.

  • Pens in different colors - I like to give a color to every single element on my notes. Kinda like a color scheme. Blue = definitions , Black = general content. My favorite pens are the Pilot G2 Gel pens, they’re just a-m-a-z-i-n-g.
  • Fineliners - Fineliners are by far, one of my must haves. I used to use papermate color pens, but when I bought my first pack of Stabilo’s, It was love at first sight. The two most popular brands are Stabilo and Staedtler. Both of them have their pros and cons, so here i’ll leave you a video of a battle between them. I’ve never tried the Staedtler ones, so I wouldn’t know if they’re better or not. They’re really useful for mind maps, subtitles, decorating, titles, etc. You should totally save some money and buy ones!
  • Mechanical pencils - I stopped using regular pencils because sharpening them was just pissing me off. My favorite ones are by papermate.
  • Markers - this ones to me are pretty optional, but I decided to go for some Crayola ones to make some tabs or titles. I would say they’re useful, but only if you feel like buying them.
  • Highlighters - There are thousands of types, and thousands of brands. But it’s all about your needs. If the reason you want highlighters is to highlight on books, I would really recommend Sharpies and Stabilos. I have both of them, they work pretty well. And here we go with one of the most popular products around tumblr: mildliners. I have to admit it:  they’re beautiful. They come in different colors and they’re just gorgeous! The only problem to me is the price. They don’t sell mildliners here in my country, so I have to order them from Amazon, and it’s just really expensive. Are they worth it? To me, yes. But if you don’t want to spend that much money on highlighters, you can also try the Pilot Frixion Light ones. Anyways, here’s a video comparing many of these popular brands.

Now that you have your stationery set and ready, is time to get started with the hardest part : taking notes. One thing you need to know is, I take many of my notes in class time, which means I have to come up with a plan and a color scheme in a matter of seconds to get started when the teacher starts giving class.

My note taking process:

  1. Set a color scheme - You can make it all pink, all blue, all warm colors, all violets, etc. I always try to alternate and use a different color for every topic, so you should try it out.
  2. Different fonts - I use cursive for subtitles and my normal handwriting for the rest of the text. I always get asked: What did you do to get such a neat handwriting? My answer is: practice. I used to have a really horrible handwriting when I started high school, but once I discovered studyblrs, I began to copy some of the handwriting on pictures. I came up with my own font and i’m really happy with it! So dont be afraid to copy some handwriting you like, in the end you can always add your style to it.
  3. Organize your information - Many times teachers ask you to make mind maps, diagrams, charts, etc. Choose the one that fits your information. I’m a huge fan of diagrams, but I also like to use charts a lot. Its all about your personal opinion. Most of the times teachers give me paper sheets with al the information on them, so the next thing I do is to highlight definitions. Once I’m done with definitions, I start highlighting with a different color the rest of the text.
  4. Start writing - This is my last step, and its pretty simple. Once I have all of my information sorted and organized, I can get writing! I spend a lot of time doing it so I really commend you to find a good and relaxing playlist to have fun while doing it and a bottle of water.

I hope you found this post useful! Love, Dani.

REQUEST: Can u write a fan fic about the girl owning a flower shop and Harry coming in to get flowers for someone else but then they fall in love because love is beautiful like a flower

It’d been about a week since Harry had come around to the shop, and she was starting to miss him. She knew that he was spending a lot of time with his family, with it being Christmas and what-not, but she was about to close up the shop for three days to go visit her family and she was hoping to see him before the holidays.

The day before she left, her wish was granted.

“Honey, I’m home!” Harry called out into the store as he swung the door open, his voice booming in the air and announcing his presence. It took everything inside of her not to collapse into a fit of giggles, but she was busy doing a final inventory check before leaving. She had a pen tucked behind her ear and one tucked into her locks of hair that had been collected in a messy bun, not to mention the pen in her hand.

“I don’t know what you’re talking about, you don’t have any honeys here,” she teased, looking up from the checklist she had been scanning over to flash him a smile before looking back down at the sheet of paper on the counter.

“Only my main honey,” he flashed her a  grin as he walked around to the side of the counter she was on and glanced at the sheet of paper she was looking at before hopping up atop of the counter next to her. “Getting ready to go home?”

“Yep. I’m having brunch with my mum tomorrow, and then dinner tomorrow night with my dad and his new girlfriend,” she groaned, jabbing her pen into the paper particularly not-so-gently as she scribbled a check inside one of the boxes. He suddenly reached over and grabbed the pen that was behind her ear and hidden in her hair, stealing the one from her hands to top it off.

“H, what are you doing, I don’t have time for this,” she began to complain, but he had already hopped off of the counter and shoved the pens in his pockets.

“Yeh’re overthinking everything and stressing yourself out more than yeh need to, like usual.”

Hello, it’s #optomstudies here again with another Sunday Study Tip on university life! Although it’s been a while, this will be a multi-part series that hopefully will give a unique insight, since I can go on and on about university :)

PART 3: STUDY

I wish I had known that there’s a lot more work that you can binge in university. It is super easy to fall into the trap of leaving everything to the last minute. Revise regularly and finish all your recommended reading. The workload is a lot more than I ever faced in my final year of high school, and somehow I did get used to doing more in a shorter period of time.

Keep up with your tutorial homework. Especially for subjects for maths, I can’t stress this enough, especially since this was the one of the causes of my subpar grades the first semester of uni. Even if you have to stay up late to finish it, I’d suggest that you do it. Because if you don’t finish it this week, you’ll just have more to do next week.

Make study notes for everything at first. To be absolutely honest, there are a lot of subjects where you don’t end up needing study notes all that often. But I’d suggest making notes for everything the first week, because very often I’ve done notes for a subject, decided that I didn’t need any, then regretted it later on in the semester when there was too much to study. If you’re a notes person, make notes for everything.

That being said, know that you can’t write notes for everything forever. Sure, first and second year you can. But keep in mind that notes are time consuming to make, and tbh not the most optimal way to get the most information into your mind in a short time. It’s good for when you’re trying to learn each and every thing in a subject, like in high school for your HSC for example, but in uni, it’s better to understand concepts and memorise big picture things at the end of the day.

Learn as much as you can in class. Skim through the lecture notes before class, and write down any questions, but you basically want to understand the concepts in class. If there’s anything that you don’t understand, try and ask the teacher and follow up on it at the end of the class if there’s not enough time for questions. Try your best to follow what’s happening at the moment it happens.

Revise regularly. The reason for this is so that you can change the shape of the forgetting curve. This is the number one easiest thing to procrastinate, because it is probably the hardest to do regularly. I find it easier to set aside one large chunk of time to revise, even though it’s not optimum. The reason is because if planning one hour a day to revise, it’s usually at the end of the day after all your homework is done… and homework almost always runs over the time that you set aside for it. In addition to that, you want to avoid having to write anything new in that session, so make sure you have your study notes already done

Don’t forget who you were in high school. I can’t count the number of people who have studied their hardest in high school and scored ATARs of 95+ and yet completely bum around in uni, and don’t seem to care as long as they pass the course. Idk, personally, it’s just not an aesthetic that I would want myself to have; you tried that hard in high school, was it just a means to an ends? Now that you’re in your dream course, it suddenly doesn’t matter if you can’t make heads or tails of it? My cheesy message is: You made it! Celebrate it! Embrace it! Love learning it! Evolve and develop your mentality for university now that the goals are not a 99.95 ATAR, but a goal of your own choosing.

Explore new methods of note taking. There is a plethora of information concerning lecture note taking, writing summary notes, and specifically for university too. Or try your own thing. I personally am someone who likes taking notes in red font on my lecture slides - any explanations or emphases that are expressed are highlighted, without missing anything while typing up the main points. And I don’t bother to rewrite things in my own words, as long as I understand a concept; I know this is heavily emphasised as a good way to take notes in high school (in almost all the note making tutorials I’ve read), but in uni you don’t have the luxury of time. Lecture notes usually are anywhere from 3 to 6 A4 pages per hour of study notes, so it’s unfeasible when you have 8 hours of lectures a week. Try something different!

Do a brain dump on paper. My friend swears by this method. You go to a lecture, and straight afterwards write down everything you remember from that lecture right there and then. Then the day when you sit down to study it, do the same thing. The amount of things you’ve forgotten will be in plain view, which gets you to put the hard yards into memorising. Do the brain dump again once you’ve finished everything to check that you’ve memorised more than you did that initial brain dump.

MY WEEKLY STUDY TIPS

WHAT I WISH I’D KNOWN BEFORE UNIVERSITY STUDY TIPS SERIES

A concept: setting up your appointment at kleinfeld bridal, Harry booking it for you. Telling the assistants that there is no budget, that he wants his princess to be spoiled rotten and for her to try her hardest to find the perfect dress for their day. Imagine anne and Gemma tagging along, commenting on each dress, maybe opening a bottle of champagne. Once you find *the* dress, maybe you take a photo of your ring finger on top of his credit card, sending it to him, caption reading: “I said yes to a dress.” And you know it’s going to drive him mad until he sees you in it.

7 Things that Require No Talent, But a lot of Hard Work

Lately I’ve seen a post floating around about “10 things that require zero talent”, and the list includes: being on time, work ethic, effort, body language, energy, attitude, passion, being coachable, doing extra, and being prepared.

Now, some of these are questionably controllable, like attitude or body language because those things people interpret differently. My overall opinion of this post was that it was meh, because most of these things DO NOT come naturally. Sure, they don’t require talent but being on time requires planning and being passionate about everything you do just isn’t possible. Not to mention that energy levels are sometimes out of our control - for example, in the spring I need to take allergy medications that make me EXTREMELY sleepy, but if I don’t take them I’m too sick to get out of bed! When I struggled with clinical depression, I always had low energy levels - it would be a shame to judge people by that.

That being SAID, making the best of the energy you have is what I attempt to do, even if that means getting up and brushing my hair and taking a shower before going back to bed. So because I felt like some of these reasons were a little unfair or really underrepresented the hard work involved in achieving them, I wanted to do a list of my own.

7 Things That Require Zero Talent, BUT a lot of Hard Work and Practice

This title, to me, is more accurate about how to achieve your goals. Nothing comes easily, and implying that there are 10 things you can do to be successful that require “zero talent” is mislabeling.

1. Being Prepared - I’m copying this one from the original list because it’s SO important, but I wouldn’t call it something that requires zero talent. Everyone has different ways of always being prepared, but I keep both a planner AND a bullet journal. It takes time and effort to do your research and to go into every meeting and every assignment prepared. BUT in the long run, reading the syllabus and the textbook before class, researching the company you’re interviewing with, will always pay off.

2. Stop Procrastinating Everything - It’s so easy to fall into a trap of saying “I’ll do this later” “I can always start tomorrow”, DON’T START TOMORROW, START NOW. If you keep putting something off, you’ll look back and say, “I wish I had started that first day all those months ago.” I do this thing I like to call “selective procrastination” - like when I avoid reading my textbook by working on a paper due in three months, or paying bills, or calling my mom. I try to procrastinate by doing something else productive when I can, but let’s be real - we all need a Netflix day sometimes and there’s nothing wrong with that.

3. Maximum productivity - Don’t do that thing where you’re half studying/half checking your phone every couple minutes. Dedicate yourself completely to studying for blocks of time, and then take breaks when you need to. If you try to multitask while studying, you’ll inevitably end up getting less done. Making one thing at a time your priority without letting yourself get distracted is the best way to make yourself more productive.

4. Always Be the Hardest Worker in the Room - This is one that I repeat to myself always. Sometimes, I get frustrated when my friends want me to go out on a Thursday night, or go to the movies on a Monday, when I know I have to study. And then I look up from my work, I look around, and think, “Am I the hardest working person in this room yet?” Sometimes I am (sometimes I’m the only person in the room). Sometimes I need to remind myself that it’s impossible to get results, and to get a 4.0, if you don’t want to work for it. Set aside time for your friends, and set aside time to study.

5. Be Patient, Don’t Rush Results - During my freshman yeah, I barely studied, so my sophomore year was a rude awakening. I didn’t go from studying 14 hours a week to 40 hours a week right away, and I was quickly overwhelmed. I had to carve out time to study, and I had to figure out how I studied best and the most efficient study methods for me (I used a pomodoro timer for a while, and now I just instinctively try to study 20 minutes on with a short break.) Find what works for you, and don’t give up: it will be hard at first and that’s okay.

6. Don’t Just Memorize, Actually Understand - I have a really good memory, so sometimes I cheat myself and memorize concepts instead of actually understanding them deeply. Every single time I do this, it comes back around to bite me. Having a solid understanding of the concepts is important in subjects like biology, economics, and psychology, among many many others. It’s worth putting in extra time to understand concepts instead of trying to take the easy way out and memorize info that you think will be a short cut. There are no short cuts to success

7. Give Yourself a Break - If you actually hate studying, or if you’re not passionate about what you’re doing, all of this will be so much harder. Studying came so much more naturally once I found something I was interested in studying! But here’s the thing - even once I found what I wanted to study, I still got burned out and needed breaks. I needed to just lay in bed and watch Netflix sometimes, or watch food videos on my phone during my lunch breaks. You don’t have to study 24/7 to be successful, efficient studying is the key. It’s all about balance: don’t forget to make time for your friends and family and hobbies.

Wow I apologize for this very long, rambling post! These are just a few tips that have really helped me to be successful in college, and will be really helpful to look back on once I get into the stress of junior year 😅

Sweet Foreign Sugar’s Guide to Freestyling: Segment 1

Part 1. Why Freestyle?

I see people on Tumblr complain all the time about how sugar sites are full of splenda, salt daddies and worse. Women are tired of being jerked around, lied to and threatened by these online creeps.

So what is a SB to do? Freestyle. Freestyling is basically the act of seeking out a sugar daddy offline, the good old fashioned way. I have found, and most everyone I have ever talked to about the topic has found, that you find much higher quality men via freestyling but yes, it is more labor intensive, and it has its drawbacks. But, like anything, you get what you put in. Although the initial input is much higher with freestyling, the rewards can be much higher.

Part 2. Freestyle Anywhere, Freestyle Everywhere

In my personal opinion, if you’re a SB really trying to become a pro, you need to always be on your toes and be on your game. Your life is a long series of freestyling events. I think when girls on here generally talk about going freestyling, especially in a group, they mean go out on the town (to bars, clubs, lounges etc.) and while those are all viable options of places to meet POTs, those aren’t the only places. You can meet POTs anywhere, from restaurants, to charity events, to the dry cleaners, to the grocery store.

This also brings me to my next point. It pays to be nice to everyone. You never know who is going to be a good networking connection later on. Sure, the older woman at the country club talking about her grandkids is kind of dull, but maybe she’ll introduce you to someone who could be a POT. Any sort of restaurant or bar staff are great to be friend, you never know what kind of gossip they’ll have on people who come in frequently. Maybe the guy grabbing almond milk next to you looks pretty average, but for all you know he’s a tech millionaire who dresses down while running errands. You just don’t know. So, my best advice: be nice and be friendly to everyone.

Part 3. Freestyle Location Ideas

I know I just got done saying that anywhere can be a freestyle location, and anywhere can, but I think we’re all smart enough to know that there are locations where you’re more likely to run into someone who could become a POT. I’m just going to create a list here; I’ll try to be as thorough as I can but feel free to add to this.

  • Lounges, Bars, Etc.
  • Upscale Restaurants
  • Lunch locations popular with local professionals (for example, in NYC, lunch locations in FiDi popular with Wall Street patrons)
  • Art Galleries
  • Art Auctions (and really any sort of high end auction)
  • Country Clubs (*This may present a large upfront cost to you)
  • Golf Clubs
  • Through Rich Friends**(see below)
  • Charity Events
  • Spas
  • Sporting Events (especially regarding big stadium events, where somebody is seating can give you a clue as to their disposable income)
  • *Also, just thought of this as a possibility: Sporting Events at Ivy League or comparable Unis here in the US and abroad; I went to an ‘upscale’ Uni and I meet a lot of wealthy people at Alum events, so if you aren’t an alum of an ‘upscale’ Uni then perhaps you could meet Alum at a sporting event or some other event

**I want to expand on this one a little bit. I have friend who are successful SBs who will be wing-women and help me along. Then I have friends who don’t know I’m a SB, and I don’t want them to know. When you’re introduced to a man via a friend who you don’t want to know that you’re a SB, tread lightly. If you lose a POT (or a SD) you don’t want to also lose a friend (and all of their networking connections!).

Part 4. Yes Looks Are Important

Whenever you are trying to make a good impression, and while you’re sugaring you should certainly be trying to make a good impression, you should strive to look good. This means different things for different venues. It is very important that you dress appropriately. A mini skirt and crop top are not appropriate for many venues; a “Sunday’s Best” church dress is also not appropriate for many venues. If you look like you fit in, people won’t be as suspicious of you. If you come to the country club in a micro mini, you may as well hold up a flashing sign that says “I AM A GOLDDIGGER”.

Dress well. Dress Appropriately. And stand out..just not too much. You want to try to be the most gorgeous woman/most handsome man in the room, but keep your look within the boundaries of the venue, event, time, location, etc. Look good, but look like you fit in.

Part 5. How to Talk to People

Ok this is really difficult for me to write. I really don’t know how to teach you in a post how to talk to people, but I get asked about it frequently enough that I need to address it. Every situation is different, every person is different etc.

I’m happy to give tips, tricks and pointers but the best thing you can do is practice. I wrote in a post a while back that if you’re going to be in any job that requires a lot of human interaction, and you aren’t completely comfortable talking to people, then you need to practice. Go to the grocery store and start striking up conversations with people in line. Go into these practice conversations with a goal: you want to learn 3 things about this random stranger by the end of your conversation. It will feel weird at first, but the more you do it the better you’ll be at it, and more importantly, the less nerve wracking it will be.

I think the hardest part about talking to someone is the introduction. There are settings where you really won’t be left with any other choice other than to walk up to somebody, shake their hand and tell them your name. When doing this remember to approach from the front, establish eye contact, speak clearly and give a firm handshake. And remember, listen to their name. Sometimes we’re so in our own heads that we don’t actually listen to the other person then we forget their name. It bothers people when you forget their name, so make a point to try to remember it. The more details you learn about them the easier it will be; remembering “Sally” is hard, but remembering “Sally” who is from Michigan, loves baseball and vanilla ice cream is a little easier.

Although that is one common way to make an introduction, you can’t just walk up to random strangers and shake their hand. I mean you can, if you want them to be really surprised and not want to talk to you any further. So, how then do you start the conversation? Well, as a general rule, I like to start one of two ways: either being funny, or by complimenting them. I picked up the latter method after working as a nanny to this woman who could charm anyone; I asked her for her secret and she said she always starts with a compliment. First, it often catches people off guard, and second, most everyone loves to be complimented. It’s flattering. I use this more on women than I do on men because when I use this on men I run the risk of laying it on too thick. But either way, this is one trick to make sure a conversation starts off on the right foot.

My own go to method, though, is to be funny. This, like complimenting, does not have a 100% success rate but it’s high enough that I keep using it. This has a lot of risks involved. You might offend someone. You might not be that funny, or have a sense of humor other people don’t like. You might meet someone with no sense of humor, or they’re having a bad day and don’t want to laugh. You don’t have to be a comedian to be a good SB, this is just what I personally use.

And sometimes I use humor in a way I know is especially risky. For instance, the other day I was parking my car and parked it backwards so my trunk would be closer to the elevator. My neighbor, who was also in the parking garage, saw it and when I stepped out of the car he told me I did a good job parking it. I could have said thank you, and moved on. Instead, I said, “Were you expecting me to crash it just because I’m a woman?” He was completely taken aback and caught off guard, and I knew he’d probably respond in one of two ways: think I was a bitch and not talk to me anymore, or, be suddenly very intrigued by his cheeky neighbor. He reacted the latter way; sometimes men like to be verbally spanked.

There are a lot of ways to use humor though. If you aren’t a cheeky person, don’t use cheeky humor. Find a method that reflects who you are. And in general, no matter which way you choose to introduce yourself to people, there is the risk it will be unsuccessful. That’s why, and this applies to all parts of sugaring, I say to cast a wide net, and not put all of your eggs in one basket. You’re going to fail sometimes, you’re going to be rejected sometimes, it’s just a fact of life, and the better you get at dusting yourself off after it happens the better off you will be.

Bottom line, don’t be afraid to be friendly, put yourself out there and start up a conversation with someone.

Now, once you make it past the introduction, it’s key that you keep it going. Be friendly. Be interesting. Don’t talk about depressing things or be a downer in any way, shape or form. And do not overshare, that’s so uncomfortable when people do that. Be warm. Be genuine. Ask questions. Don’t just talk about yourself. Listen to the other person.

If this is someone you think could be a POT, ask questions that will help you gauge if they could be a POT. Ask about their job, do they like to travel, etc. Be somebody who knows a lot about different topics so that you can keep up an intelligent conversation with somebody. If you’re talking to a guy who works in hedge funds, it’s going to be a lot sexier to him if you at least know what a hedge fund is versus if you giggle and say, “Wow you must be so smart. All of that economics stuff goes right over my head.” Don’t play dumb, be intelligent and well rounded.

Also, as far as how you talk: speak clearly, don’t mumble, don’t shout, and if you like to use your hands to talk, use them but don’t be so wild with them you become a spectacle. Nonverbal communication is great when used appropriately. Smile, nod your head, show you’re listening.

This is all I have for this segment. I’m breaking up this guide into 2 or 3 segments (we’ll see) because it was getting too lengthy for one post. So I’ll post the other sections at some point this week!

Part 1  Part 2 - Here  Part 3  Part 4  Part 5  Part 6  Part 7  Part 8  Part 9  Part 10.1  Part 10.2  Part 10.3  Part 11  Part 12  Part 13  Part 14  Part 15

After that exciting encounter, you spent your Sunday completing unfinished work and before you knew it Monday had come.

Dragging yourself into class you noted that, aside from you, Jungkook seemed to be the only other person in class this early. You paid no mind to his slouched sleeping figure and unceremoniously dropped onto your seat. You hoped, no, prayed he would not wake up but luck was not on your side as you heard his chair scrape the floor as he stood. His footsteps grew closer until they stopped behind you and you felt a tap on your shoulder.

“What?” You snapped your body to the side to direct a glare his way.

“I stopped wearing my ass as a hat.” He was giving you a stupid smirk and you hated the way it made your cheeks warm and gave you butterflies.

“Congrats? What do you want a medal?”

He leaned in close to your face, smirk still present and eyes sparkling.

“Your ‘thank you’.”

To say you were confused was a slight understatement and he seemed to understand that from the look you gave him. Despite this, he merely chuckled.

“You know, you look cute Jungshook.”

“What in gods name is 'Jungshook’?”

“Just something.” He walked around your desk and sat on the chair infront of you, resting his arms and chin on the top of your desk. Eyes looking up at you from under his lashes, you tried desperately to ignore him by pulling out a workbook and flipping to a random page. Your patience was very short, however, as you snapped a few moments later.

“Shouldn’t you have a random girl hanging off your arm right now? Why are you here?” He flashed his rabbit like teeth at you as he brushed a hand through his hair.

“I was waiting for you. I miss you.”

What?

“Where’s Kookie? I saw him walk through the gates.” Hye Mi’s loud voice interrupted him and he quickly retreated back to his seat as she walked in. She narrowed her eyes at you and stalked in your direction. By the time she reached you, you noticed the water bottle too late. Crisp cold water drenched you and you jumped off your seat in shock.

“What the fuck are you doing!” You shoved Hye Mi and glared daggers at her innocent smile.

“You looked hot. I was just being a good friend.”

You were not going to let her get away with this. Reaching into your bag you grabbed your own bottle and unscrewed the cap, dumping the contents onto Hye Mi’s head. Her screech resonated throughout the room and corridors as students flocked to the entrance to see what was happening. Her friends were quick to react and ran to her side. You stole a glance at Jungkook he seemed as apathetic as he usually did in class.

A sudden push brought your attention back to the matter at hand. Hye Mi was fuming as she reached for your hair and pulled. The yell you let out seemed to grab Jungkook’s attention as he stood and paced towards you both. He grabbed Hye Mi’s hand and stared her down.

“Let go.”

The anger in those two words gave you chills and apparently Hye Mi felt the same as she quickly obeyed. Your anger returned in a few short moments but this time it was directed at Jungkook.

Why did he want to help all of a sudden?

Why now after 2 years of torment?

“I don’t need you to save me, this isn’t a fucking fairytale Jungkook. Leave me alone.”

You left no room for a reply as you grabbed all your things and left without so much as another word.

-

School wasn’t any better the next day. Areum was off sick and when you arrived Jungkook wasn’t there (you hated that you felt slightly disappointed.) As the day progressed you done your work as you normally would, the death stares Hye Mi and her friends were giving you were nothing new.

Lunch came by quick and you headed to your usual table that you shared with Areum only to find it occupied by none other than Hye Mi and her friends. Not wanting to deal with them you opted to sitting outside. You needed some fresh air anyway. Walking out the lunch hall doors was something you immediately regretted.

You were greeted with the sight of Jungkook sharing a heated kiss with an older girl, you didn’t recognise. The pain you felt in your heart was what confused you the most since you seemed to recall asking him about the girls he normally has hanging off of him only yesterday. Your train of thought was broken when the girl spoke.

“What’s wrong Kookie?”

“Kookie, are you alright? What’s wrong?”

When you returned your attention back to them you noticed Jungkook looking at you with the expression a child would have when being caught doing something they shouldn’t be. However, you just scoffed at him and headed in the other direction.

You refused to believe you were tearing up because of him.

“Fucking hay fever…”

-

After that, the day progressed painfully slow and you counted down every minute until it was time to leave. You just wanted to go home and let out all your feelings to Areum.

The week seemed to be taking a quick turn downhill, however, as when walking home you decided to take a shortcut.

Your first wrong choice.

Walking past an alleyway wasn’t something that would have intimidated you if it wasn’t for the group of boys lingering in there, smoking. They were obviously from your rival school, judging by their uniform and they seemed to recognise yours too.

“Hey! Hey! I’m talking to you.” The gruff voice from one of the boys made you stop in your tracks.

Your second wrong choice.

The boy who had called out to you, stepped into the light and his obnoxious red coloured hair had set off alarm bells in your head. You had heard of the notorious leader of your rival schools gang but you never imagined you would ever meet him, let alone like this.

You hadn’t notice him draw closer to you until he had a firm grip on your wrist.

“You’re hot for someone who goes to a school like that.” He gestured to your uniform with disgust. His eyes seemed like they were undressing you as he eyed you up and down before a smirk grew on his face.

“Tell you what, how about you come hang with us and me and you can 'play’.” The suggestive idea he had in mind disgusted you enough to make your blood boil.

“How about you go fuck yourself, then you can go fuck all of your little groupies behind you.”

Your third wrong choice

His smirk dropped and his eyebrows furrowed at your reply.

“Feisty bitch aren’t you? Let’s see if you still think the same after I’m done.”

The hold he had on you was too strong and you only realised after trying to shake him off. When that realisation came that’s when you started regretting everything you had done.  He tugged you into the alley way and threw you against a wall. Slamming a hand on one side of your head, he took a drag of his cigarette and blew the smoke into your face, the smoke making your eyes water.

“I just thought you were hot and wanted to make you my girl. It didn’t have to go this way… oh well.” He proceeded to stub out his cigarette on your hand and sadistically smiled at your hiss of pain.

“Just try and enjoy it babe.” As he leaned in your hands made contact with his chest and you pushed him with all your strength. It was a futile attempt and you then realised  how he had gained his title as leader.

“I don’t want this!” You tried to scream but he saw right through you and covered your mouth.

“And I don’t care.” When you felt his teeth come into contact with your neck, you struggled even more and kicked out, hoping you would hit something. You had a stroke of luck as you somehow managed to kick him in a precious area. He stumbled back and yelled in pain whilst his gang acted quickly and pinned you in place.

“Stupid bitch!”

The sharp sting on your left cheek caused a tear to roll down and that’s all it took for the rest to follow soon after.

“Did you just fucking make her cry?” The eerily calm voice of Jungkook had filled the alley and everyone then turned to the new group of boys standing at the entrance. The look of pure resentment on Jungkook’s face had made even the leader stiffen.

“What? Is she one of your sluts Jeon?”

Jungkook completely ignored the question as he took a step forward.

“I asked you a fucking question. Did you make her cry?” The leader only spat at Jungkook.

“So what if I did? Bitch didn’t give me what I wanted.”

That’s all it took for Jungkook to lose it. He charged at the leader, his friends following after him. The members holding you down let you go to join the fight and you slid down burying your face in your arms and sobbing, the thought of what almost happened to you setting you off.

Yelling from the boys filled the alley, even the calm and collected Jin had joined in, delivering his own fair share of punches. The sound of fists connecting with bodies was something you tried your hardest to block out and it was only until you heard Jungkook hesitantly call out your name, that you dared to look up.

“They ran. They won’t bother you again so please… please don’t cry. I don’t like seeing you cry.” He took slow hesitant steps in your direction, scared that you may reject his sympathy.

“Hey! Don’t cry! I hate seeing you cry.”

“Kookie…” The nickname had slipped past your lips before you could stop it and you all but shot into him, your arms quickly wrapping around him. He was clearly shocked at what you had called him but soon recovered and returned your embrace.

“I promised myself I wouldn’t let anything happen to you… and I fucked up so many times but I swear it will be different…”  The genuinely concerned look he gave you was enough to reassure you that things would be different. You felt Jungkook grab your forearms and lift you up.

“Come on… there’s no way I’m letting you go home in this state, I’m taking you to mine.” He draped a black hoodie over your arms and put the hood over your head, directing you down the street, his friends following.
-

Sitting down in Jungkook’s front living room should have been awkwardly uncomfortable if it wasn’t for the 7 boys doing everything in their power to keep you happy. Jin’s bad dad jokes coupled with Taehyung’s strange faces and Yoongi’s yells of 'shut up’ was enough to keep you giggling. Not to mention Namjoon’s, Jimin and Hoseok’s dancing competition. Namjoon lost.

“Hyung’s! I need you.”

Jungkook’s voice was heard from the kitchen and the 6 boys each stopped what they were doing, one by one entering the kitchen. Their muffled voices were heard and you were sure you heard your name a couple of times but you brushed it off. Not wanting to sit silently and do nothing you stood from your seat and wandered around. Making your way towards the collection of demo CDs on his shelf, you scanned the names and found that one word was always found on each of them.

BTS.

The memory of Yoongi spray painting those exact letters on the wall a couple of nights ago flashed in your mind and you let a soft smile grow on your face.

“I’m gonna debut in a group one day! It would be a hip hop group with loads of members!”

“So… he was serious about that?” You whispered to yourself. A sudden shout from the kitchen made you jump, effectively knocking over Jungkook’s bag from where it was resting on a table a few moments ago.

“Crap…” You knelt down to pick up the things that dropped out when a picture in his open wallet caught your eye. It was of a 6 year old Jungkook and girl, standing side by side, grinning at the camera. Your eyes developed tears as you let out a mixture of a sob and chuckle. Taking the picture out, you flipped it around and read the messy writing on the back.

Jungkook and Y/N
Best friends no matter what happens.

You smiled at the fond memories.

-

“Leave Y/N alone!” A nervous 5 year old Jungkook stuttered out. He ran at full speed in your direction, successfully scaring off the girls who had previously threw sand and pebbles at you. It was too late however as the tears you had been holding in streamed down your face.

“Hey! Don’t cry! I hate seeing you cry.” He pulled out a crumpled tissue and wiped your tears away, his face contorted in concentration. Smiling when he had dabbed away all the tears he began patting the sand out of your hair.

“It’s okay. I won’t let anything happen to you!” He grinned, his eyes squinting and flashed his rabbit like teeth.

-

At the age of 6, both you and Jungkook were stood as close as possible, both grinning at the camera with your two front teeth missing.

“We’ll be best friends no matter what happens, okay?”

-
You approached an 8 year old Jungkook, sitting on a swing set alone. His head was hung low and he was pouting to himself. You crouched down in front of him and looked up at his face.

“Kookie, are you alright? What’s wrong?”

Jungkook’s eyes snapped open at the sound of your voice and he let out a small sigh.

“Se-Jun said I won’t be able to become a singer in music class today.” His brows furrowed at the memory.

“But Kookie, you’re a great singer! When your a famous singer everyone will love you and your voice! So don’t worry. Just don’t forget about your number one fan.” Your words seemed to work as Jungkook visibly relaxed. He hopped off the swing set and pulled you up, grabbing your forearms and beaming at you.

“That’s right, I’m gonna debut in a group one day! It would be a hip hop group with loads of members!” As he rambled on you merely smiled back at him, silently praying his dreams would come true.

-

The sound of footsteps brought you back from reminiscing.

“What are you looking at?” You looked up at Jungkook, smile on your face and his eyes widened.

“Wait! I told you I don’t like to see you cry!” He reached for you but you shook your head at him, lifting the wallet and displaying the photo.

“You’re such an idiot. You never really got rid of our memories together.”

He beamed at you, slowly shaking his head.

“How could I? The 7 years we shared together as kids isn’t something I can just throw away.”  You couldn’t control the ever growing smile on your face, happiness bubbling in your stomach. The rest of the boys stumbled out of the kitchen, Taehyung on Namjoon’s back complaining about something to do with having lines in 'Cypher’, Jimin, Hoseok and Suga playfully arguing whilst Jin was snacking on rice crackers.

It seems like your week just got a whole lot more better. Areum was going to love this story.

Self-Motivation

I have had a huge amount of people messaging me asking how they can be motivated to revise for exams, or to work when they get home. Here’s a post with some tips that will hopefully help you guys out!

  • JUST START: Maybe you are lying on the sofa watching Netflix, on your phone warm in bed, or curled up with a great book. The hardest thing to do is to start working when you just don’t want to, but if you ‘just start’ it can really flip your attitude. The process of cleaning up your desk and getting your books out to study can focus your mind, and get your head in the right place ready to work and revise. I often find that if I just start, it immediately becomes a lot easier to keep going.
  • SET GOALS AND FOCUS: It is really hard to motivate yourself if you have no set goal or aspiration to aim for and accomplish. By setting yourself goals you give yourself a reason to work, and this will immediately increase your motivation. Once you know what you are aiming for, try and keep those goals in the back of your mind all the time, and use them whenever you are feeling demotivated. Don’t be shy or conservative with these goals either - aim and dream big!
  • TRACK YOUR PROGRESS: Keeping a journal, or just some type of daily reminder of what you are aiming for and what progress you have made so far will really help you maintain your motivation. Being able to write down your thoughts will help organise the things you have to do, and reading through it at times when you’re feeling demotivated will help stimulate you and remind you why you are working so hard. It will also allow you to see how far you have come, motivating you to keep going in the same productive and positive direction, giving you a sense of achievement.
  • DON’T WORK ALONE: It can be hard to motivate yourself to work sometimes, so having a study-partner to give you that extra ‘push’ on the days you don’t feel so motivated can be invaluable. You don’t have to necessarily work with them, as you may work more efficiently alone; but having that person that you can rely on to tell you when you are procrastinating will really help just get you going.
  • FIND YOUR MANTRA: I have found that you can really get yourself motivated a lot, just by telling yourself that you are good enough, and that you can and will accomplish what you are aiming for. Make yourself a mantra which you can say to yourself to motivate yourself. It doesn’t have to be long or complex at all, just a little phrase or quote that you can write down, think in your head etc. to get yourself wanting to start studying.
  • SPLIT UP TASKS: If you sit down at your desk with an absolutely huge project to complete you will feel demotivated, and it would be easy to just think that there’s no point in starting to attempt the huge task. Instead, split up larger pieces of work into small chunks. This will make each individual task a lot more manageable, and it will mean you can ‘tick-off’ more tasks from your to-do list, which will give you a greater sense of achievement, motivating you more.
  • REWARD YOURSELF: It can be really hard to just study or revise all day. If you set rewards for yourself then these can be used to motivate yourself to work through the things you have to do, and finish all your tasks. These rewards can be anything; from allowing yourself to go out with friends in the afternoon/evening, or having a piece of chocolate cake if you finish all your homework.
  • HOLD YOURSELF ACCOUNTABLE: You can do this by making a public announcement of your goals/aspirations in a big way, or just by telling your parents that you are going to be revising for the next 3 hours. As long as you tell someone else, then you will be held accountable. The people you told know that you are meant to be studying/working and will be expecting you to be doing so, this will therefore make you motivated to work and stick to what you said you were going to do.
  • LEARN FROM YOUR MISTAKES: Everyone makes mistakes - it is completely normal and expected/ The key thing to do is not to lose motivation and feel bad for yourself. You need to accept the bad result/outcome, and choose to learn from it. Analyse your actions leading up to the mistake/bad test result etc. and see what you can do better next time. If you are feeling bad about it, then let yourself really feel it, and use that as motivation - to never have to feel like that again.
Unfriendly Competition // Min Yoongi

the prompt: I’ve been thinking lately about dragons;; Could I request a Dragon Tamer!AU with Yoongi of BTS? Where you two are both dragon-tamers in training (like you’re both students under the same master, kind of thing?) and you two have a very intense rivalry that’s literally all pent up romantic tension but of course neither of you realize it~ So you’re constantly teasing and trying to one-up each other, but things go too far when one of the baby dragons gets hurt?? And in nursing it back to health you two grow closer, and start to realize that you don’t hate each other as much as you thought… and actually might even like each other??

If you read fanfics, what's some of your favorites (with links please!)

alright, so there are some of my faves, tho I’ve read a lot of fanfics tbh, but it would be a pain to list them all. there’s more than one pairing in here, but most of them are taekook.

all of them are completed, because I’m really shitty at keeping up with the unfinished ones OTL, and they’re mostly one shots, tho there are some that are longer as well.

so here you go!

Kiss Me Hard Before You Go (1/1 | 20,271 | Rated E)

Dramatization. Do not try at home.

Get Me Out Of My Mind (Get You Out Of Those Clothes) (1/1 | 15,797 | Rated E)

Taehyung never thought he’d fall in love with his roommate. Then again, he never thought his roommate would have been a literal gift from god either.

Date Me (1/1 | 5,439 | Rated G)

Taehyung flirts with the cute high school boy and relishes in the flustered reaction he gets for almost an entire year. But when the following year comes along, he finds himself choking on his own words.

I feel safe in the 5 a.m. light (love in my arms and the sun in my eyes) (1/1 | 8,031 | Rated M)

And Taehyung thinks he’s never loved anyone more in his life than the boy above him who’s a little bit rough and sometimes a bit insensitive and maybe a little bit mean, but he’s also so soft and so gentle, and he treats Taehyung like he’s something so precious to him. And maybe he’s like that because of Taehyung, or maybe it’s because underneath everything, underneath the tough exterior and the sky-high walls, his heart’s more delicate than Taehyung’s, but all Taehyung knows is that Jeongguk fills up all of Taehyung’s vulnerable pieces with parts of himself.

Strings Attached

Summary:  Marinette could see the red strings of fate holding people together, but no one was allowed to know that.  That fact didn’t stop her from using her knowledge to nudge soulmates together.  Of course, this led to her getting a reputation as the class matchmaker, which isn’t an issue until her soulmate, Adrien Agreste, asks her to set him up with another girl.

Red Strings of Fate/Soulmate AU!

Chapter 2: Matchmaker, Make Me a Match

“Pound it,” the two masked heroes of Paris said after the latest Akuma had been purified. The fight wasn’t difficult. Neither of them had to use their abilities, though they both wished hawkmoth would’ve kept his Akumatizing for before midnight. The Akuma, “Road Rage,” was more of a nuisance than a threat. All he did was making annoying honking noises. Hawkmoth seemed to be running out of ideas.

Since neither had used their abilities, Ladybug and Chat Noir were in no rush to part after the attack, despite the fact that it was late night. Marinette always liked these moments the best, but she would never admit that to Chat.

“Purrfect as always, My Lady,” he smiled.

Ladybug ruffled hair, deciding to ignore the cringe worthy pun, “You didn’t do so bad yourself, Kitty. Besides, I think that was our easiest fight yet.”

“Well, we do seem to fight well together,” he leaned into her hand, “but that’s just because we’re made fur each other.”

She scoffed, but continued scratching behind his ear, “I don’t know about that…” but she truly didn’t. She could never really know who his soulmate was while he’s transformed.

“But, don’t you believe in soulmates, My Lady?” He pulled away, so he could look into her eyes.

When I was little I wanted to be a princess. I wanted to wear flower crowns in my hair, to have my nails polished, and my makeup done perfectly everyday. I wanted to be the definition of beauty.

When I was little, I wanted to be a doctor. I wanted to help those who were hurting and to make little girls who wanted to be a princess stop crying when she got her flu shot. I wanted to be the definition of helpful.

When I was little, I wanted to be a teacher. I wanted to know my times tables as well as I know the shape of his hands now and I wanted little girls who wanted to be doctors to feel smart enough to reach for their dreams. I wanted to be the definition of inspiring.

When I was little I wanted to be everything. My inspirations changed by the minute just as a sun sets. My aspersions were larger than skyscrapers and were moving as fast as rockets. But then life tore me apart. Piece by piece my innocence was lost. I was a Ponyboy stuck in a shredder that my elders called life. Tears were dried with time and I never got the chance to live. I wanted to have everything and to feel every feeling I just never thought that happiness would be the hardest to find. I never imagined a life where Prince Charming wasn’t real, being nice doesn’t always stop the tears, and most time inspiration fades, just as memory of times tables.

When I was little, I wanted to be happy.

Hey :) are there any new angst fics with happy endings? I've read all the ones that are in the tags! Thank you for your work! ♥

yep^^ some of these are still ongoing but they have ‘angst with happy ending’ tags so I’m assuming they’ll have happy endings once they are complete lol (here are previous angst with happy ending lists for anyone who wants to look)

(it’s not) Fine by roseycheol - You can’t fake what Jungkook did, the days spent bundled up together, the little notes left in Taehyung’s bag with stupid doodles of hearts and bunnies, the gentle kisses pressed to Taehyung’s forehead when Jungkook had to leave for class early and thought Taehyung was still asleep. Jungkook had looked at him like he was the most precious thing in the world and touched him with such a firm yet delicate care, Taehyung knew that Jungkook had at least loved him in some amount. But he’s hurt and angry enough right now to say it, and he’s not sure whether it’s more painful to think that Jungkook fell out of love with him or was never in love with him at all. (Taehyung and Jungkook break apart and fall back together)

you act like summer but you talk like rain. by cloverseoks - Jeongguk does urbanex. During one of his little expeditions to an abandoned factory, he stumbles upon the camp of a homeless person, one he finds himself dying to meet.

Only Breathing - Aquiver by Sharleena - Like all things about Taehyung, being loved by him is loud, messy and familiar. Under lilac neon lights his hair is a shade lighter and his skin is gold, Jungkook’s hands tremble when he touches it and Taehyung keeps mixing weird sauces in his ramen. “Do you still quiver when I touch you?” “Always.”

when i’m ready (i will fly us out of here) by cherryjjk - summertime in seoul feels a lot like a thunderstorm, jeongguk thinks.

Veni, Vidi, Amavi by yourluckytae - (I came, I saw, I loved) Ever since that day, Taehyung has been looking for something, chasing a dream he seems to be missing. Something important that makes his heart whole. It’s a creeping sense of someone he can’t quite grasp, who’s always on the tip of his tongue, nails on a chalkboard screeching loudly in his ear to remember. But every time he tries, it hurts. But he chases the dreams, the feelings, whatever it is that he’s missing because he thinks it would hurt more to never find whatever’s gone. Jeongguk stares at his palms absent-mindedly, body rocking with the movement of the train. His fingers trace over non existent words on his right palm. Something he hadn’t thought about in years. He has a feeling; something deep and nostalgic bubbling inside him tasting like chocolate muffins and caramel lattes and smelling of vanilla and strawberries. It stirs within him as his fingers trace each stroke over his palm. It stirs something melancholy, something sad. A feeling. (Kimi no Na Wa (Your Name) Au)

refrigerator humming, chewing gum and instant karma by locks - Taehyung sets the flowers down on the dining table, plucking the card off the little holder. “Dearest Taehyung, just wanted you to know that I’m thinking about you. I hope you’re thinking about me too. Love–” he pauses and squints before cocking an eyebrow and pursing his lips. “Hyung, why is the boss of your little boy band gang professing his love for me?” Yoongi drops the noodles on the floor with a loud curse as he burns his hand. Or, Taehyung’s been trying his hardest to avoid Yoongi’s criminal life for a long ass time, but a cute kid and his infuriating father keep pulling him deeper into the mix.

We Were Together (The Rest, I Forgot) by Kookie_andCream - Jungkook has always been able to see ghosts. When he meets Taehyung and falls in love, the last thing he would guess is that Taehyung is one. But somehow, in a world neither of them truly belong to, they walk the boundary between life and death together and make it work.

(some people might consider this a bittersweet ending but I think it’s a happy ending)

little do you know by aeterisks - Taehyung has been running away from Jeongguk for seven years. Now is the time to be brave. (Or, Taehyung is a producer who goes back to his hometown to find a new artist to give his song to. What he didn’t expect was for it to be Jeongguk, his first love.)

love, taehyung by ataezingkookie - take a deep breathe
and start at the beginning

tell them how we first met
tell them how we shared our dreams
even your weirdest ones

no, keep that as our secret

tell them that this is
that this has to be
one of the happiest days
of your life.

OR the one where Taehyung and Jeongguk just keep missing each other

i’ll return to you (a promised handful of orange blossoms) by meanho - “Do you think he’s cosplaying an anime, or manhwa?” Jimin asked, voice in a trance. Taehyung understood his confusion because it wasn’t every day you see a person dressed as fine as the king of Joseon himself stumbling through a crowd and knocking over some Sailor Mercury’s wand. “Hmm, maybe he’s going for someone from Yona of The Dawn?” Jimin scoffed, “Yeah right, more like my 9th grade text book.” (or, the taekook Rooftop Prince AU!!)

I know it will soon be our last (but I can’t let you go) by wolfsbanez - Jeon Jungkook is a guy who is willing to break as many hearts as he can and Kim Taehyung’s heart just happens to be on his way.

the world don’t stop ( it’s on again ) by dormant_bender - Jungkook just wants to be normal, but of course that’s impossible when the world has labeled you as “Spider-Man.” Despite his newfound power and abilities, the one thing he is still unable to do is confess his feelings for his best friend Taehyung.

Everyone lives with a love (that has come to an end) by wolfsbanez - Kim Taehyung thought he was ready for the perfect relationship and Jeon Jungkook just happened to realize otherwise.

i want to breathe; i hate this night by thebestofme - Finding out his sweet childhood best friend was now one of Seoul’s most wanted villains was interesting, to say the least; but what’s more astonishing is that a freak like Jeongguk is now considered a hero.

Black Dahlia by AmandaPleese - Jeon Jeongguk is not afraid to die. So he thinks. It’s not until he is staring into the eyes of his soulmate, black spots beginning to splotch his vision, chest on fire, far too many dark petals trying to come up his esophagus at once, that he’s terrified. It’s too much. Tears sting his eyes, and he looks desperately at his soulmate who looks just as desperate right back, his world beginning to teeter. His throats closes up, and he can’t breathe. Jeongguk thinks he’s never been more scared in his life. Jeongguk doesn’t want to die.

Spectator by TheSadisticMunchkin - Taehyung was used to being the spectator of his students’ stories. He enjoyed the way the pages of their life filled with the adventures and plot lines that he was more than happy to be a witness of. He was always going to be their number one fan. That was up until the moment he became a character in a very messy story.

everything means nothing (your kiss is a gateway drug) by nyxphrodites - Kissin’ leads to
Touchin’ leads to
Lovin’ leads to
Fuckin’ leads to
Someone always seems to get hurt // Jeon Jungkook’s in love and it’s not Kim Taehyung’s fault.

saudade by hurricanedelta - saudade. noun. a nostalgic longing to be near again to something or someone that is distant, or has been loved and then lost; “the love that remains”

Why Me? by bruhnam299 - Powerful CEO, Sang Sunwoo, catches sight of the pretty, little florist that works at the corner of the street, and what he wants, he always gets.

The World is Dark (But Baby you Shine Bright) by pinkeow - Where Taehyung sees nothing but darkness, Jeongguk is his light

I Got Lost In You(r Eyes) by NastaeTae - The earth is surrounded by a universe that doesn’t care, and filled with people that do. When something is out of place, the universe will correct it, no matter what the cost.

I Bloomed For You… by Meanie_Beanie_nim - Jungkook just barely registered the warm soft skin of Taehyung’s palm, before his whole world changed. His skin prickled almost painfully, and it felt like somebody had sent a great wave of electricity crackling through him. The world went black for barely a second as a strange weight settled in his chest, and then the world came rushing back like a flood. He looked up with wide eyes at Taehyung - no, at his soulmate - and expected to be met with the same surprised eyes as his own, but Taehyung just looked at him with a carefree smile. “See you soon, Jungkookie,” he grinned teasingly before releasing Jungkook’s hand and turning around to leave. Jungkook stood there for several minutes, just staring at the spot where Taehyung had disappeared, with only one thought in his head.  Why had his soulmate just left him?

Greed Pair - Run Back To Me

I’m making this mini series because of this post stream about the Servamps and Eves being separated and dealing with a distance limitation similar to the one in “His Dark Materials”.

Sloth || Pride || Envy || Wrath || (Greed) || Lust

“So, here’s the game plan.” Hyde said to his subclasses. Some were listening to him intently and others looked bored. Guildenstern was utterly exasperated with his servamp. Despite the danger, Hyde and Licht decided to turn their distance limitation into a game. Whoever caved in and run back to the other first would lose. It had already been an hour and Hyde was surprisingly composed.

Too composed.

Guildenstern’s eyes narrowed as he watched Hyde carefully. He knew his servamp too well to be fooled by his confident smile. But he didn’t say anything as he listened to Hyde’s instructions. “Hermia and Lysander, you two are on Licht watching duty! Make sure to protect him if anyone tries to hurt him. And try to make him miss me more by giving him little hints. Something like, ‘don’t you just want to run back to Hyde? You should go to him and give him a giant hug.’”

“How is that a little hint?” One of his subclasses asked him but Hyde waved away their words and went on.

“Puck and Demetrius, your job is to set up traps for me outside this room. If I try to leave the hotel and go to Licht’s recital, do whatever it takes to stop me. Gil, you have the most important role in this plan. You have to entertain me and distract me so I don’t leave this room.”

“Why do I have the hardest job?” Guildenstern frowned but he nodded. Before any of them could complain, Hyde pushed his subclasses out of the room. Once they were gone, Hyde slumped against the door and his smile fell. Out of all his subclasses, Guildenstern had been with him the longest so he didn’t need to act around him.

“Gil, I miss him. It hurts!” Hyde whined and sat on the ground. Guildenstern sat next to him and pat his head. “Do you think he misses me too.”

“How can he not with your distance limitation?”  He pointed out and Hyde pouted at him so he knew that wasn’t the answer he wanted. He curled into a ball next to him and Guildenstern sighed to himself. Long ago, he promised to take care of Hyde. That mostly consisted of punishing his antics but it also included supporting him. “If you miss him, why don’t you just forget this game and go to him?”

“The winner gets the prize.” Hyde explained but the prize seemed less desirable with every passing minute. It felt like a part of him was missing and it was replaced with a palpable agony that clawed at his heart. There was a weight over him and it was difficult to breath. He wanted nothing more than to run to Licht’s side but he held himself back.

“You’re not going to win against Licht. You’re too greedy to just sit here and wait for him patiently. Don’t you want to see his recital? There’s still some time left.” Guildenstern could see how tempted Hyde was. He rocked from side to side as he considered running to Licht. Something pulled at his heart, urging him to. “He must miss you too so why are you keeping him waiting.”

“I can’t leave Lichtan waiting.” Hyde laughed even with the pain he was feeling. He stood and looked down at Guildenstern. “I gave you an important job and you utterly failed, you know? Well, lets see if Puck and Demetrius did a better job than you.”

They both turned to the window when they heard someone scream Hyde’s name. Hyde recognized the voice quickly but he still ran to the window to see who it was. His heart jumped when he saw Licht running down the street. His smile couldn’t be larger as he threw open the window. Even though the weight on his heart was gone, he still had the strong need to be next to Licht so he didn’t bother to wait for him.

Guildenstern was caught between sighing and laughing as he watched Hyde jump out of the window. He would have to punish him for his recklessness later but he was happy to see his servamp so filled with life. “I say I did my job very well as your subclass.”

“Lichtan!” Hyde glided to the ground as quickly as he could. Dropping down two stories only took a minute but it had never felt so long in his life and he landed ungracefully in his hast. He ignored the pain in his ankle and scrambled to Licht. He didn’t care that people were staring at him or that he must’ve looked silly because all he could think about was holding Licht.

When he called his name again, Licht looked up and their eyes met. He could see how haggard Licht was and guilt tightened his chest. They both ran faster and Hyde reached out his arms to him. Hyde barely started his apology when Licht kicked him. He stumbled back and cried. “That really hurt, Lichtan. What was that for?”

“That’s for making me play that stupid game, Shit Rat!” Licht grabbed his scarf and began to shake him roughly. “I’m never letting you talk me into this ever again. I had to end my recital early because I missed you so much and I could barely play. Look what you did to me!”

“You missed me?” Hyde knew he shouldn’t smile but the thought that Licht felt the same as him made him happy. He liked to think that it was because of more than their distance limitation. With a gentle hand, he stroked Licht’s arm. “I’m sorry. Did it hurt you much?”

“I didn’t miss you that much to actually feel pain.” Licht denied but Hyde could see small tears in his eyes. They were a strange mixture of frustration and relief. He didn’t want to admit how much he missed Hyde. He thought that he would be able to win the game easily because they had been separated once. But this time, he felt its affect like an avalanche.

“Well, I missed you. I’m never going to leave your side again.” Hyde hugged him tightly and he was surprised when Licht returned it. Having Licht before him felt perfect and he didn’t know why he wanted to ever be apart from him. Then he grinned and said, “Lichtan, you do realize you ran back to me first and I won, right?”

Licht stiffened for a moment when he remembered the conditions of their game. He groaned to himself but said, “Fine. You get to pick where to eat tonight. Where do you want to go?”

“Wanna order Chinese take out? I just want to stay in tonight. We can eat and watch a movie on the couch.” After being apart and feeling the affects of their distance limitation, Hyde was certain that sitting across a table from Licht would feel too far. He felt Licht nod against his chest and held him tighter.

I was going to make them all platonic but my love for LawLicht made that plan go out the window. The others will focus more on family and friendship (maybe with the exception of the Sloth Pair). I admittedly never read “His Dark Material” so I don’t know how accurate this is and just went off descriptions I read.

WOAH can we see more of your project schedule?! thats so much work how are you getting this all done?

Little tiny chunks, my friend.  I get it done in little tiny chunks.  I do personal projects for an hour in the morning, and usually most of my weekends.  Each project gets spliced up into very detailed post-it notes checklists!  I am VERY motivated by checking off checklists.

It’s best to set small, manageable goals (draw 10 boards, write for 20 minutes etc) celebrate when you hit the goal, and then try to do 50% more!  The hardest part is just getting started–once I get start rolling I’m an energizer bunny!

And the project schedule helps me a TON!  I’m my own boss on these so I can move the deadlines however I want

coloring tutorial #1

no one requested this, but I’m really bored and have nothing better to do. so for this tutorial we’ll be doing coloring like these:

while the two examples have cyan as the background, I still use these steps in order to do any color porn gifs. for this tutorial you’ll just need to know how to make a gif, basic coloring skills, and how to manipulate layer masks.  this tutorial has a lot of steps, but it has a lot of descriptions (and pictures!) for each step. so here we go!

Ashton: As soon as you enter the apartment, Ashton knows that you’ve had a bad day. He can tell by the way your feet shuffle against the floor and by the way you don’t yell, “Ashton, how many times do I have to tell you not to leave your coat on the floor by the front door?” He watches as you plop down on the couch beside him, your eyes dull. He knows how hard being a CEO can be. You two had been rival companies until one day, you met and it was love at first sight. He knows by now that when a deal goes wrong, you take it badly. “Rough day?” He asks. You scoff. “That stupid fucking Washington deal fell through. They changed their minds.” You mutter, running your fingers through your hair. Ashton hums a little, leaning over to kiss the top of your head. “They didn’t deserve to be partnered up with you, anyway.” He says. You sigh, knowing he’s right but not giving in. “We really needed this, Ash.” You say. “Do you wanna take a warm bath? You’re looking a little stressed. And baby, you know I don’t like it when you’re stressed.” He says in a seductive tone, knowing you’ll melt on the spot. “Yes, please.” You whisper, closing your eyes. He pecks your lips and heads upstairs to run a bath. After a few minutes, he returns to drag you upstairs with him. A warm bath is running in the bathroom, full of bubbles. The bathroom is lit with vanilla scented candles. Ashton comes up behind you and rubs your shoulders softly. A small moan comes out of your mouth as the kinks in your neck and shoulders are released. “Do you want me to stay?” He asks quietly, placing a small kiss to the nape of your neck. You nod. He helps you get out of the uncomfortable business suit you’ve been in all day and into the bath. He sits on the sink counter as you relax, singing softly. “Ash?” You say quietly. “Hm?” He replies, scrolling through something on his phone. “I love you.” He glances up and smiles at you, but before he can reply, his cell phone starts to ring. “Damn it, I’ll be right back.” He says, walking out of the bathroom to take the call, which is probably a call from someone at his company. You sigh as you listen to him talk about budgets. As busy as the two of you are, nothing can dull the amount of love you feel for each other. By the time Ashton returns an hour later, you’re stepping out of the bath. “Sorry, love. It took longer than expected.” He apologizes, helping you put on a beige, fuzzy robe. “It’s okay.” You say softly, yawning. “Bedtime?” He asks, already knowing the answer. You both crawl into bed after you slip a tank top and shorts on. “Why do you think the deal fell through?” You ask, your thoughts refusing to settle. “Shh, go to sleep, baby. You’re exhausted.” Ashton murmurs, rubbing your back. You sigh and close your eyes, sleep pulling you in. The next morning, after Ashton has already left for work, you get a phone call. The people on the Washington deal have changed their minds, and they want to partner up with your company. You immediately know that Ashton said something to them or bribed them with some enormous amount of money, so you call him. “Ashton Irwin, you better not have-” You start, but he cuts you off. “Being a better company than yours has its benefits, love.” You roll your eyes and smile, knowing that he’s just playing around. “You’re not even going to say thank you?” He asks, a teasing tone in his voice. “Nah, maybe you’ll just have to spank it out of me later.” You end the call on that, smirking to yourself as you think of your now very frustrated husband who will probably come home earlier than usual.

Calum: “Mr. Hood, your wife is here to see you.” A secretary tells Calum from over an intercom. “My wife? What for?” Calum replies. “Do I need a reason to want to see my husband? This lady seems to think so.” Your voice barks back, the sound of annoyance (probably towards his secretary) in your tone. “Come on back, angel.” He says, chuckling. A moment later, you’re walking into his office. The office is clean and sharp looking, walls covering every inch of it so that no one can see in or out. “You forgot your key, again. And since I’m having a girls night with the other wives of your friends tonight, you’ll need them.” You say, holding up Calum’s key to the house you share. “So there is a reason you’re here.” Calum replies, smirking. You roll your eyes a little as he chuckles. “I keep forgetting to put it on the chain with the others. Thanks, gorgeous.” He says, getting up and walking over to you. He grabs your waist and tugs you closer, which erupts a giggle out of you. “Cal, I can’t stay long. I’m having lunch with your mom in twenty minutes.” You protest as his lips trail lazy kisses down your neck. “Mm, all I need is ten.” He replies. “Calum, not here.” You say, laughing a little. He frowns and pulls away. “I’m sure your employees are tired of hearing me scream their boss’ name.” Calum smirks. “See, I fixed that. This room is now soundproof.” You step away from him, grinning. “Still, I’ll look like a mess when I see your mom.” You say. He groans, running a hand through his dark locks. “You can’t just come here and expect me to not want you. You look fucking amazing.” He mumbles, eyeing your body hungrily. “Your secretary needs to go. She always says you’re too busy to see me.” You say, pouting. Calum reaches out and cups your cheek with his hand. “I am busy, that’s true, but I’m never too busy for you, darling.” You smile as his accent seems to thicken. “I love you, Mr. Hood.” Calum smiles at you as he walks back to his desk and sits down. “I love you too, Mrs. Hood.” He murmurs. “Do you mind saying that louder when you walk me out for your female employees? They look at you like you’re a piece of meat. And they do it in front of me!” You complain, pouting again. Calum smirks. “Someone jealous?” He asks. “Yes. I am.” You say sharply, biting your lip. “You’ve got nothing to be jealous of, angel. You’re the only one I want.” Calum promises, opening a drawer to his desk. He pulls out a little blue bag from Tiffany’s. “For me?” You ask excitedly, running over to his desk. “Of course it’s for you.” Calum chuckles, watching as you tear away at the tissue paper. You pull out a small, rectangle shaped box and open it. A diamond anklet lies inside perfectly, the diamonds shimmering against the light in Calum’s office. “Calum, it’s beautiful.” You say softly. He comes around and kneels down in front of you. He lifts your foot and removes your stiletto, kissing the arch of your foot. He moves his lips to the inside of your knee before putting the anklet on you, making you shiver. “You promise it’ll only be ten minutes?” You ask. Calum considers this. “No. I changed my mind.” He pushes the button for the intercom. “Julie, can you call my mother and reschedule her lunch with (Y/N) to another day? I’m afraid my wife isn’t feeling too well.” Calum lies. “Yes, sir. Anything else?” Julie replies. “Yeah, cancel all my afternoon appointments and meetings.”

Luke: Nobody really knew exactly what you and Luke were. All they knew was that everywhere he went, you seemed to be too. Everyone called you the “Power Couple,” since you owned a successful company and he was, well, a very successful musician in a band. Truth is, though, that you didn’t even know what you were to Luke. You enjoyed spending time together and had fooled around a number of times, but still, you both refused to put a label on it. Now, sitting at a large table at the annual dinner between all the boys and their families, you feel saddened by the fact that Luke may not be your boyfriend, due to the no label situation. You watch as Calum interacts with his girlfriend with bright eyes and a big smile. Luke notices you drifting from conversation, so he places a hand on your knee. “You alright?” He asks quietly. You nod, taking a sip of your champagne. “(Y/N), I know you. Something’s wrong. What is it?” Luke asks. You stay silent, moving his hand off of your knee. “Is it something with the company?” He tries. You look at him. His blue orbs have a sense of worry in them. “My company is fine.” You say quietly, not wanting to draw attention. “But my heart? Not so much.” Luke sighs as understanding sets in. You excuse yourself from the table and walk outside the restaurant, needing some air. You thought running a successful company was going to be the hardest thing you’ve ever done. Instead, dating Luke Hemmings was the hardest thing. You groan silently as paparazzi spots you from across the street. You turn and walk in the direction of your company building, trying your best to avoid the cameras. You needed to do some extra work, anyway. Luke doesn’t show up at your office until a few hours later. “Lets go home, (Y/N).” He says quietly, leaning against the doorframe. “Why, Luke? Why should I go home with you?” You ask, setting your pen down. “Don’t do this right now. You know very well what I feel for you. I don’t think that needs a label.” Luke says. “Well, I think it does. And until you feel the same, don’t come back.” You say quietly, your heart dropping to your stomach. Luke sighs and shakes his head, then turns to leave. You cry all night and end up sleeping at your office. The next morning, you see a notification from Luke’s Instagram. It’s a picture of you, asleep in Luke’s bed. Your hair is sprawled out over the cotton pillows and you’re wearing one of Luke’s band tees. Your mouth is slightly open. Luke captioned the photo, “really missing waking up to this beauty today.” It’s the first photo he’s ever posted of you. Someone knocks on your office door, startling you. Your blonde haired, rock star boyfriend stands there, his eyebrows raised. “Can we just start there and then figure out a label?” He asks quietly.

Michael: “Ms. (Y/L/N), the people from Clifford Enterprises are here to see you.” Your assistant says, poking her head in the door of your office. “Ask them to wait, please.” You say quietly, looking at a sheet from recent pay outs. “There’s no way in hell I’m waiting on you again, lady.” A guy with rumpled, bleach blonde hair says as he pushes his way into your office. “Ah, Mr. Clifford, you’re a pleasure as always.” You say, faking a smile. Michael rolls his eyes. “Are you done trying to steal my company?” He asks, sitting in front of your desk. “I’m not trying to steal your company. I’m trying to merge with it.” You say. Michael grits his teeth. “We don’t want to merge with you.” He says. “You may not want to, but you need to. Your company is failing every day and it’s time to face that you need my help.” Michael sighs and runs his hand over his face. “I’m working on fixing my company. We don’t need you.” He says firmly. You lean forward across your desk. “You’re a lot meaner when I’m not sucking your dick.” You snap, referring to the annual Christmas party between local companies from last year where you both got drunk and had sex in the bathroom. “And you’re a lot less sexier when you’re not drunk and trying to steal my company.” Michael retorts. “For the last time, Michael, I’m not trying to steal your company! We can merge and run things together.” You tell him, annoyed. He considers this, biting his lip. “I get to be in charge more.” He mutters. “No, we would be in charge equally.” You correct. “You of all people should know how much I like being in charge, kitten.” Michael says seductively, making you squirm in your seat. “We can schedule a meeting to decide who controls what another time.” You say, regaining your composure. “Or you could come over and kneel across my lap.” He suggests. You feel your cheeks heat up. “Michael, I’d appreciate it if you would refrain from sexual comments.” Michael smirks and leans forward. “And I’d appreciate it if you would stop trying to steal my company.” You scoff, standing up. “I see that you’re still immature. You can go.” You say, walking over to open your office door. Michael follows, giving your ass a squeeze before he leaves the office. You let out a small squeal. Michael laughs as he walks away from your office. “Stop being such a prune, (Y/N). No deal, but I’ll pick you up at eight for dinner.”
