How interesting. The episode closes out with the introduction of a new character: Yuma, a bat-winged Faunus. And it seems he’s assassinated Ghira’s messenger and ensured that Mistral will not learn that the Belladonnas support them.
That was a slow-paced, breather episode, eh? It can basically be summed up as: Menagerie is lax about the approaching war, Blake still thinks Adam is an ass, Ruby fights for her friends and Oscar thinks she’s cool, the Belladonnas are marked for assassinations, and Illia is faced with a dire choice. Not too much happened, but what did happen was interesting enough.
This Volume is going to have more episodes than normal, right? I do know that this show likes to bounce between setting up dominos and knocking them down. I think we’re back in the “setting up” phase, and because this volume has more episodes to work with, it can take its sweet time.
Good stuff. I look forward to seeing this Yuma guy in action… He can probably fly, so it’ll be interesting to see what he’s like in combat. He’ll probably be in that assassin squad assigned to Illia, I’d wager.
See you with more RWBY next week!
