SUNFLOWER—they follow the sun. That’s what everybody thoughts. The first thing they did when they woke up was to search for the sun and then weep as it disappears between the night. Say, “I know the sun would come back but I don’t know when”. Say, “This is something I need and I do not know how to stop wanting it”. She was blooming for the wrong thing, for the sun hamper their growth. They thought they need it, but not really. Not really. But look! Look! They’ve grown now! Facing the east; not the sun, but the east. They face the east now, with their petals draping beautiful across their heads, stand grounded on where they belongs.
ORANGE—do you know color that glows is the color that kills? When they first discover the glowing colors, they were so in love that they put it on every daring thing they have. Jewelry. Make up. On garments and on dish wares. Because it’s beautiful! It’s something new! It’s appealing! and because it leave us dumbstruck and I guess it’s nice to be ignorant to other things for a while. But it never last, it never last. Cause it gets to my lungs and and my heart and deviate everything until the person I am is not me anymore. And I have to leave it. Things that glow, beautiful as it is, doesn’t worth the killing it did.
Alright, look… How about I get off early tonight and I buy us a bunch of candy and we can sit around and get fat and we can watch a scary movie together? How’s that for a compromise? C-compromise? C-O-M-promise. Compromise. How about that’s your word for the day, yeah? It’s something that’s kinda in-between. It’s like halfway happy. By 5-1-5? 5:15. Yeah, sure.
hey i just wanted to say that if you’re already scraping by to make ends meet, the holidays are really hard. and that puts pressure on you and on your whole family. and if there’s one thing i hope you know it’s that you don’t need to prove you love someone by buying them something. i know we all want to get the people we care about really fancy things. but i’m okay if you get me like a smooth rock you found by the ocean. i know it’s true of other people, too. i’d rather you hand me a diy picture frame from popsicle sticks than something you had to go into debt to buy, and i think any person who’s worth their socks will tell you the same thing. and on that note? everybody loves socks, and they’re pretty cheap. yes, it’d be great if you and i stumbled on enough money to actually afford things. but love, i’ve learned, isn’t about the buying.
and on that note? for those of you out there who find the holidays a particularly dark time… i hope you know there will always be someone willing to open the door for you. even when it feels like there’s no one. even if that door is a window you have to crawl through.
and for those of us who have more than we need, i hope we open those doors. if you notice someone who is going to be alone during the holidays, or who is usually depressed but for no apparent reason seems markedly happy and is giving away their things, please invite them over. hang out with them, no matter how awkward it is. sudden cleaning and long notes about how much they love you are also signs of suicide. with recent changes in insurance, it’s increasingly harder to find mental health care, so help a friend out (and maybe even yourself!) by figuring out who still takes the insurance offered so we can all give ourselves the gift of coping mechanisms, the gift that keeps on giving.
“You’re probably hungry, so please accept this peace offering!”
He wants me to eat that thing?
Okay so, this is a Shance au based heavily on an anime I saw in like 2013 called gargantia on the verdurous planet.
Basically: Shiro has been in space his entire life preparing to fight in a war that’s purpose is to save the human race
But during a battle gone wrong. Shiro and his ship (aka: black lion in mecha form lol) get thrown way off from the objective and become suspended in space, to save the pilots life Shiro falls into a period of cryo stastis and when he wakes up he finds himself on earth. A planet heard of only in legends, and (supposedly) where the humans first originated from.
Earth is now almost completely covered by water, and all the humans (including Lance Keith Hunk Pidge Coran Allura Alfor Shay ect.) live on big floating man made islands.
Now Shiro has to find a purpose for himself, something he’s never even imagined doing, while also adjusting to a peaceful life after years of war and hardships and barely anything enjoyable, luckily he meets a very kind person (ya boy LANCE) who’s more than willing to help him adjust.
“not long time ago there was a boy that was alone just like the sun, with no moons, with no hope. but he saw a planet on his own and went there to see what he had to offer, and he wasn’t dissapointed.”
