Part 8 of Letters From the Dead

This has likely been our little girl’s worst birthday. First, she was sent home sick. Turns out she had the flu. It sucked to see her sick, but it’s something manageable. Not done. Next, she slammed her finger in the door, and didn’t want to hold still to let me get a good look at it. That night? Falls out of bed, bumps her head on her nightstand.

Let’s just say, I’m considering a plastic bubble at this point.

Day by day, things got easier. You didn’t miss your mom or Rick any less, but you felt like you weren’t an outsider anymore. You smiled more, and cried less. Jensen was gone a lot, as well, which you understood. He did take you with him for a couple cons, trying to get you used to the other members of the cast. For the most part, you would watch from the side, sit in the back, or a few times, you were in the crowd. It was strange when people recognized you, but you dealt with it.

All your accounts had been put on private, keeping only family and friends on there. You saw no reason that you, a 14 year old girl, should be open to the public like that. Your father was the star- not you. More and more pictures of you with JJ popped up on your Instagram, and soon, with you and the twins.

When Jensen was gone, you tried to help. You were a bit awkward and unsure at first, but she was patient with you. It got a bit hectic when Gen would bring the kids over, making you feel like a small army was invading, but they were good kids.

Before you knew it, July hit. You were standing outside, all but dancing. Your ponytail swung as you moved and you were biting your lip. Your best friend and her family were coming to spend a few days. They would be there to celebrate the fourth with you, and you felt like it had been ages since you’d seen them.

it’s been 3 months since Carrie died. and i was thinking today, it’s sort of… it’s comforting to know that she was happy with her life. she was writing, publishing a new book. she was doing tv. she was doing movies. she was doing star wars again. like, you could see she was in a good place. she stole the spotlight during the promotion for tfa and she was going to do it again for tlj. she “shocked” everyone by announcing she had an affair with harrison ford 40 years ago, and she wrote a book on it. she didn’t give a fuck. she did campaign against trump and she told people to go fuck themselves; she congratulated a pregnant interviewer on the sex; she told ellen degeneres she was open to dating an oxford professor; she showed an interviewer the middle finger after he said anyone would look good sitting beside jabba the hutt; she joked about how other people’s opinions on her appearance hurt 3 of her feelings even tho she was hurt by it; she wanted to move to the uk bc she didn’t want to live in the same country as trump; she threw a birthday party at a hotel in italy at 2am and the cops showed up at 5am to stop the party; she was strong, and she was honest, and she was brave.

it’s comforting to know what a thrill her life was, and that she still lived it intensely. but it’s also so fucking unfair exactly because of that. it was too soon.

Shortly after the overdose, Bob decided to tell Jack the story of why he really got put in the Stanley Cup as a baby.  It was Bob’s way of thanking the cup.

“After I won my first cup,” he told Jack, “I realized I’d achieved my dream, and I had married this amazing woman, but something still felt like it was missing.  I wanted to be a father.”  He told Jack how he and Alicia had tried to have a baby, but it just wasn’t happening.  As the months dragged on with more of the same, they started to get worried.

“And even when you were worrying you’d never truly be happy you managed to win the cup again, yeah?  That’s the moral of the story?” Jack snapped.  Bob shook his head, reached out to run a hand over Jack’s back, like he could smooth down his son’s frayed nerves.

“Non, non, non, that would be a terrible moral.  Actually my stats were worse that year than when I was a rookie.  But my team was incredible, and we made it to the cup again.  And here’s where the story gets good, you see, because I’d heard all kinds of wild legends through the league about ‘cup magic’ and how sometimes it would grant wishes”

“Or turn you into a fucking penguin,” Jack scoffed.

“Well I was playing for the Canadiens at the time, so I suppose there wasn’t much risk involved, but there was a whole lot of desperate hope.So on my cup day, after everyone else left, I sat down and had a chat with it,” he gestures to the table they’re sitting at.  “Right at this kitchen table.”

“Please tell me that’s the only part of this story that happened at this table,” Jack groaned.  Bob laughed.

This story, yes.”

“Papaaaa,”  Jack picked up his bowl of cereal and pointedly continued eating without letting his food touch the table.

“Oh for God’s sake, Jack, this table has been cleaned many times since, put your food down for a bit, I’m trying to have a moment with you here.”

“Alright, alright, fine.”  Jack obediently set the bowl aside and faced his father.

“As I was saying…” Bob cleared his throat.  “I talked to the cup.  I told it I didn’t care if I ever won it again.  All I wanted was a son.  If it would give me that, I promised, I wouldn’t ask to win so much as a faceoff for the rest of my life.  And I promised that I would love my son - that I would love you - unconditionally, more than anything in the world.”

“And you won a fuckton more awards anyway.”

“But,” Bob countered, “I didn’t win the cup again until after you were born when I was with the Pens.  And so when your mother brought you onto the ice to see me, I wanted us to put you in the cup, but it wasn’t supposed to pass along some kind of hockey magic and ensure the Zimmermann dynasty or whatever the fuck ESPN likes to say, alright?  We did it as a thank you.  We wanted the cup to see what a beautiful baby we had, and to feel how incredibly loved you were.”  Bob ran a hand over Jack’s newly-cropped hair, feeling the strands against his palm, almost as soft as when he used to sit next to Bob in his high chair smashing banana all over the tray.  “I kept my promise too,”  Bob said.  “I love you.  Unconditionally.  More than anything in the world.  And your mother and I just want to help you be happy, whatever that looks like.”  He smiled warmly at his son, letting all the pride he usually kept a lid on to keep from embarrassing Jack bubble up to the surface.  Jack looked down at his hands.

“How can you not be disappointed?  Look at me.”  Jack’s shoulders hunched in, shrinking him down, and Bob pressed his hand between Jack’s shoulder blades, rubbing circles in the way that always used to put him right to sleep as a child.

“I will always be proud of you, hockey or no.  Because you know what?”  Jack chanced a glance up at his father’s face and was held by his earnest expression.  “Winning the Stanley Cup isn’t even in my top hundred favorite memories anymore.  All of my best memories are with you and your mother.”  Jack didn’t say anything in response, and Bob was learning when to give him space to process, so he stood up, bending back down to kiss his son’s forehead as he snagged the now-soggy bowl of raisin bran from in front of him.

It took a few days for Bob to get a real response from Jack, and in the meantime he just left everything to percolate.  And then one night, Bob just couldn’t seem to fall asleep.  His knee wasn’t quite hurting, but it was on that edge where it just didn’t feel settled, and Alicia had been snoring, and at the back of his head he could feel some kind of humming, like he could feel the tense air in Jack’s room.  He’d gotten himself all worked up mulling that last one over until he had to get out of bed.  He stood in front of Jack’s bedroom door, looking at the light peeking out from below the doorjamb for minutes, listening to the sounds of floorboards creaking occasionally, pages rustling, a keyboard clacking.  After he’d gotten enough of the sounds of Jack just existing on the other side of the door to calm his racing heart, he went to the living room.

He settled into the couch with a box of crackers and a nature documentary when he heard footsteps creaking on the stairs.  At first, he was expecting Alicia coming to call him back to bed, but the footfalls were too loud for her.  Bob tried not to look surprised when Jack rounded the corner, keeping his eyes carefully trained on Animal Planet.  He held up the crackers in greeting.

“Joining your old man for a midnight snack, eh?”

“Oh.  Um, sure.”  Jack padded over to the couch and made himself comfortable next to Bob, pulling down the afghan from the back of the sofa.  They stare at the TV in silence for a long while before Jack speaks up again, quietly.  “Papa?”

“Yes?”

“So…what exactly was better than winning the cup?”

Sade Smols

I always scoffed at the local legend about the tiny people who lived in our town. That’s what the adults talked about when we were growing up - the little helpers who lived in the cracks and crevices of homes who scared away bugs and cleaned up crumbs. I never saw one. No one I knew did. But still, people talked about them as if they were there, like modern fairies.

This morning, I woke up to one sitting on my pillow, deftly cleaning a puddle of drool off my pillowcase.

He seemed as startled as I was.

“It’s okay,” he assured me.

I was surprised how loud and clear his voice was, as he was only four inches tall.

“I’m Sade Smols,” he said. “I’ve been cleaning here for the last six months.”

Drawing up treaties with the prisoners has been…exhausting. It feels like she’s doing the whole thing over again, except that she’s on the opposite side this time and she manages to get them to talk before exchanging bullets and spears.

So, in retrospect, not as exhausting as the first time around. At most, all she can complain is that it’s a little repetitive.

And she doesn’t have Bellamy by her side, this time. But she tries her best not to think about that.

She still finds time to radio him, most days, an outlet more than anything. Her voice doesn’t break on his name like it did those first few months, and then again at the five year mark.

It’s good for her, she thinks, talking to him. Madi has been a godsend for her sanity—giving her a sense of priority, a schedule, with all her lessons, and most importantly, someone to love—but she is still a kid, and Clarke misses talking to her friends. Misses Bellamy, more than anything. There’s no point denying it.

He was more than a best friend, which sounds overly sentimental to her own ears, but you don’t go through what they did together and not come out of it as each other’s person. So yeah, she misses him like a constant, familiar ache.

Or maybe she misses the person she remembers. Misses what her brain tells her he was. She can hardly trust her memories, now. Can hardly say for sure if he’d looked at her the way she thought he had, six years ago. If he’d really had the persistent aura of warmth that she still imagines.

The first thing Marinette did after finding out that Chat was Adrien was, in fact, not take the posters and pictures off her walls.

Oh, she thought about it (because, seriously, it was embarrassing, and the second he realized that Marinette was Ladybug and that Marinette was a shameless fangirl he would never let her live it down), but, in the end, she had to stop and just… look at them.

Because that was her silly kitty striking all those ridiculous poses, her silly kitty working hard — her silly kitty working for Gabriel Agreste, and whether he was his child or not, that was impressive as hell.

Looking at them didn’t give her that little punch in the gut anymore, she found. They didn’t make her feel giddy or lightheaded of anything of that sort anymore.

They just made her feel warm.

Hey, she wanted to say — not that she could, or that anyone would listen, but still, look at what my partner did! Isn’t he good?

It also kind of made her want to know what was going through his head in some of them, because she knew him, and knew there was no way he’d be able to pull off some of those expressions without thinking something utterly ridiculous.

On the other hand, there were some that were just so him she couldn’t believe she’d never seen it before. Casual elegance with warm humor and soft smiles — the only expressions she couldn’t seem to find was those absurd(ly charmin— nope, nope, nope, not going there) — absurd grins she loved so much.

Shit.

Did she say loved? She meant hated, obviously; they were so annoying! He was annoying. No amount of model-level looks could change that. Obviously. She didn’t know what she was thinking!

…Still.

She found herself going through her collection, a little ache making itself known in the pit of her heart as it became more and more obvious that ‘reserved’ and 'elegant’ were the only sorts of pictures she had.

It hadn’t bothered her before she’d known he was Chat — back when he was more of an unattainable dream than anyone in particular — and to be sure, Chat could be elegant anytime he wanted, but…

It was a little like a cookie without real butter. Still a cookie, no doubt about that, but… something was missing.

Maybe it wasn’t quite so surprising that she’d never made the connection after all.

But, well, missing parts or no, she still had pictures of her dumb kitty all over her walls, intentionally or otherwise, and…

Well…

It was embarrassing, but her walls felt almost unbearably lonely as soon as she tried taking them down.

There were worse things to cover one’s space with, she figured.

And then she put them back up.

Well... Here’s the thing...

Request: Hi dear! I was hoping I could request a Peter Parker imagine where the Reader is super shy and is Tony’s niece and they are up late studying together at Peter and May’s apartment (the Reader and Peter are together) and she misses her curfew and May insists that she stays over since it’s late and Tony gets mad and protective when he finds out the next morning? It would just be really cute and Peter would worry about the Reader and make sure she is okay and feels safe with him? Made by @thecoffeestudyblr

A/N: Here you go! Sorry, Danielle and I haven’t posted in a while. We weren’t writing anything good, so we made the mutual decision to post when we can write something good, so we won’t post as often as we started. Please please PLEASE let us know if you have any criticism. We would love feedback, positive or negative.

“Peter, I’m telling you, the answer is 2x,” you said, resisting the urge to throw your calculus book at the boy sprawled on the floor across from you. Peter sighed and shook his head, his eyes closed.

“(Y/N), I’m telling you, the answer is 3,” Peter answered, his tone calm and even. There was a hint of sympathy in his eyes as he finally opened them, glancing at you. He seemed saddened by the fact that the two of you were disagreeing. You turned your gaze from Peter and his big doe brown eyes and stared at the pile of papers in front of your crossed legs.

“I did the thing minus the thingy over ‘h’,” You answered, staring at your paper, your insecurity over your math-solving skills creeping up. You buried your hands in your hair, refusing to look at Peter, knowing you were going to get that look; the look that made you weak at the knees and you completely melt inside. You felt Peter shift across the floor, careful not to touch your papers and crinkle them as he scooted over to sit next to you. You caught a whiff of his cologne; faint, but enough for you to notice. You savored the smell as Peter leaned over, planting his hand on the floor, behind your back, and tilted his head to look at your paper. You stiffened slightly at how close he was, but you knew he didn’t mean anything by it, so you tried to hide your thumping heart and trembly fingers as best you could.

Dawn

Dawn is my little sister. When I was 11 and she was just a tiny baby, I hurt her really badly. I didn’t know what I did was going to cause so much trouble. I just wanted to do something nice. Something that would make us happy.

My parents made me go away for a long time. I didn’t understand why everyone was so angry. I missed my sister terribly. Even worse, I felt betrayed by the people I’d expected to understand me.

After six years of hospitalization, I got to see her again. My parents had passed away in a car accident while I was gone and I went to live with my aunt and uncle. Both were psychologists. Both understood the problem I apparently had. Still, they believed I’d learned to cope with it over the course of my rehabilitation. And they were right. I would never hurt anyone again. The mere thought of it was abhorrent.

“It’s pretty shady that you were so close by. You’re not stalking us are you?” Dean barks obnoxiously, stomping by you on the way to Baby. Having just finished the poltergeist case, the awkward tension is painfully palpable.

Expecting an immediate wise ass remark, Dean pauses and quickly turns his head. He witnesses you and Sam having a silent conversation, automatically causing his blood to boil.

“I live around here.” You state calmly, unfortunately your nervous habit of biting your bottom lip betrays you.

“Wait…” Dean aggressively slams the trunk shut then bolts in your direction.

The hallways were empty, what was quite useful for me and Draco. It was late, and we sneaked out our dormitories to hang out since none of us wanted to sleep. We ended up in the astronomy tower, the cold fresh air sending goosebumps up and down my spine.

“The sky is beautiful…” I said, looking up to the constellations.

“Not as much as you are.” Draco whispered in my ear and kissed my neck, hugging me from behind. I smiled at his silly complement and felt his arms pulling me more into him.

“That’s why you brought me here? So we could be alone and no one would listen if I screamed for help?” I asked, turning around to look in his Grey eyes.

“Believe me, Princess, if I was in intent to make you scream, it would be for more, not for help.”  He smiled sassy and kissed me. In that very moment it was like the whole world has vanished, and there was just the two of us, and I knew he felt that too. Being with Draco makes me feel good with myself and with life. I guess that’s what love means: to feel complete.

We were still kissing (who needs oxygen right?) when I heard an owl. I looked at the side of the tower’s balcony and saw Storm, my owl, with a package. I leaved Draco and walked to her, getting the small box from her hands and reading the note from my mom:

My dear, your idea for our garden worked. I’m sending the results. Miss you.

                                                                                                                              - Mom.

Curious, I opened the box to find it filled with strawberries, my favorite fruit of all. I smiled and felt Draco approaching me, trying to see what was it I had received. “I think I just found us something really good to do.” I said.

“Com’ sit here then.” He said, sitting in the ground and tapping his lap. I rolled my eyes and went to him. Although I would never confess, I loved when he was kinda bossy like that. It was just… Hot. There are not other words to describe it. I sat on his lap and got one of the strawberries from the box, handing it to him. When he went to grab it with his mouth I ate it. “Really Princess, you’re going to play this game with me?”

“I don’t know what you’re talking about.” I said, innocently and grabbed another fruit. This time, I actually did teased him, eating that thing in the most sexy and insinuating way I could. I don’t think that looked like I pictured, but Draco seemed quite turned on, so I didn’t mind at all. “I’m just eating.”

“I’m going to ‘just eat you’ out any of these days.” He said seriously enough for me to believe. I knew he was messing with me back, because his words affected me like no one’s else could, but I wouldn’t loose, not this time.

“I bet I taste better than this things…” I said, biting another strawberry.

“I bet on that too.” He said, using one of his arms to position me better on his lap. “Actually, I know you taste away much better then these.” He said, kissing my neck softly and running one of his hands through my leg, dangerously close to my pussy. “In fact, I wouldn’t mind tasting you right now.” With that I felt his hand slipping inside my pants. His fingers teased me and I moaned. “Merlin’s sake, Princess. I haven’t done anything and you’re already this wet?”

I knew he was smiling victorious, but I couldn’t care less.

“Draco… Please…”

Say it once more, Baby Girl. You know how much I love it when you beg.” He took the box of strawberries from my hand with his free one and putted it aside as he kept teasing me. I moaned again, and heard him laugh. “Just ask Princess. That’s all you have to do.” He whispered, biting my ear lobe.

“Fuck me.” I begged.

“As you wish, my love.” His fingers found my clit, pressing it gently and earning a loud moan from me. “Be quite, Princess, or you’re not winning anything.” I bit my lip, trying to focus on staying shut, but it was quite hard when Draco’s fingers slowly started bumping on me. I felt myself getting closer as his rhythm speeds up, and when I was at the age he took his hand off me, leaving me feeling empty.

“What the fuck Draco…”

“I said I wanted to taste you, darling. That’s exactly what I’m going to do. I just need a better place…” He held my waist and apparated us to an empty classroom. “This will do it.” He said, trowing me upon the table and laying me down.

“What if someone cough us?” I asked, nervous.

“Be quite and no one will.” He said, smiling as he knew he was going to make it really difficult for me. He positioned his self between my legs, pulled my pants off and started kissing my thighs, slowly coming up. “You smell good. Fuck, how’s that even possible?” He whispered for himself and got to my panties, sliding them down and taking them off me. I was starting to get impatience when I felt him kiss me gently, just to get rough right after, sucking on my clit. I had to bit my lip to the point of it almost bleeding so I could be kept shut. He smirked and inserted two fingers inside me, thrusting fast.

“Draco… Fuck… I’m going to…” I tried to not scream his name.

“Come for Daddy Princess.” That nickname was all I needed to cum hard. Draco licked me up and then helped me sitting on the table. I tried to catch my breath and he smiled, probably proud of the good job he has done. “As I said. Better then strawberry.”

I laughed. How could he go from such a Sex God to a jerk, I’d never understand. But Merlin’s sake, I loved it.

inell  asked:

Muffled, from the other side of the door - Stiles/Derek

I changed door to window, oops.

“Stiles, you’re 17 years old. You can’t possibly know what love is, let alone be in love!” The sheriff is yelling down stairs. If Derek knew what was happening in the house he wouldn’t have snuck in through the window. He guesses Stiles finally told his dad about them.

Fuck.

“You have no idea what I can and can’t know!” Stiles yells back. Whatever transpired between the Stilinski men in the last few minutes obviously hasn’t gone as well as Derek hoped it would. He was kind of hoping that John would be a little man, but ultimately accept them, and invite him over for dinner.

“You’re 17! He’s 25!” John yells again, Derek scents the air and smells whiskey in the distant. “I can have him arrested for statutory rape!” There is a bit of a scuffle like Stiles is trying to wrestle the phone away from his dad.

“Don’t!” Feet pound up the stairs and in seconds Stiles is at the door. Derek moves to the window, knowing he isn’t welcome.

“Mieczyslaw!” John is right behind him.

“Dad stop!” Derek can smell tears and he knows their Stiles’. He slips out the window and shuts it, but stay on the roof. Stiles’ room fills with light from the hallway. “You don’t know what I have been through the last 3 years. Derek has been there for me. Just because you know about all the shit that goes bump in the night doesn’t mean what he’s done for me, and what I’ve done for him goes away.”

John says something else, but he’s still out in the hallway, and it’s hard to hear.

“Just go away. I’m done talking to you dad.” Stiles slams the door and the light that came in from the hallway is gone. The springs from the bed squeal as Stiles falls onto the mattress. The same mattress that a couple days ago the shared while the sheriff pulled a double shift at the station.

Soft sobs come through the air, and Derek really wants to go in, but he also feels like he really shouldn’t. Whatever this is, it’s between Stiles and his dad.

Derek hears a soft, “fuck,” and his heart breaks a little bit. A knock comes from the door and a blur of light comes into the room.

“Kiddo,” John’s voice pipes up. Stiles doesn’t say anything back. The light goes away, but now there are two heartbeats in the room.

“I love him dad,” it muffled, and so soft Derek almost misses him.

Hearing it, is something Derek didn’t expect. The three words he’s been wanting to say for a while now but he never knew if Stiles felt the same way. Things are still kind of new, he didn’t want to say something too soon and ruin whatever this, whatever they, could be.

“I’m not happy about this kiddo. But if you love him, the least I can do is invite the guy over for dinner.” The springs squeak as John sits on the mattress too.

Derek feels weird listening to anymore, so he jumps off the roof and makes his way home. The words Stiles saying swirling around in his head. When he gets home, he gathers enough courage to text Stiles.

He says: “Goodnight Stiles. I love you.” And waits for a response.

It comes nearly an hour later and it says: “Goodnight Der, love you too”

Derek falls asleep easily that night, knowing Stiles loves him, and he loves Stiles.

I love you.
I love you.

When you say something too many times, it begins to lose its meaning.
I know this because I read it somewhere.
I know this because I felt this somewhere.
I love you.
Do you still love me?

How could we turn into strangers when you held my hand and gently promised me that this comfort will last for as long as we’re alive?
Now even a look at you has become so unfamiliar that I’d rather just look away.
Maybe this is what you meant by “As long as we’re alive.”
How could I still be alive with so many pieces of me missing, so many holes I’m trying to fill in with alcohol and spilled ink, so many lines on my palms that you claimed with your kisses?

All my life, I’ve been an actor.
I contort my emotions and make everyone believe I am someone other than myself.
Yet, the toughest role I’ve ever been forced to play is to act like we never knew each other. To choke back my tears, and rub my eyes and say I’m just tired every time they start welling up, to act like there’s nothing constantly missing from my arms.
I think maybe I’ve gotten so good at this that I can’t believe I’m myself anymore.
And the worst part is, I can’t hold this facade up for too long.
It keeps melting and have to keep building it up and I don’t know if I have the energy to keep doing this.

I still love you.
I still love you.
I’m afraid my words have lost all meaning,
And I’m afraid I will never be sorry to say that I’ll never stop loving you.
Even when I’m constantly falling apart.

When you woke up that Wednesday morning you knew something was off. You weren’t feeling quite yourself. Yet, you decided to go to work at STAR Labs. On your way there you were coughing from time to time and shivering but you were in the middle of the winter so you guessed you were just cold.

“Morning guys” you greeted everyone as you walked into the cortex.

“Wow, what happened?” Cisco asked the moment he saw you.

“Nothing, why?” You replied sitting on a chair.

“You look awful” he pointed out.

“Thank you?” You chuckled. “I think I might be catching a cold, but don’t worry, it will be over in a couple of days” you shrugged it off as you turned on the laptops.

Your work at the labs was your passion. You were a robotic engineer hired by Harrison Wells. Of course, that was before the particle accelerator exploded and created all those metahumans, before you al found out Wells wasn’t exactly Wells and…basically, before life turned complicated for everyone.

When the accelerator exploded those who didn’t die just left the place. All except Cisco, Caitlin and you. They were like a family to you, they took you in the moment you put a feet into the facility just a few days after arriving all alone to Central City. You were from San Francisco but working for Harrison Wells was something you couldn’t say no to, so there you were. Four years later.

“Sorry I’m late, I got caught in traffic” Caitlin said walking into the cortex with a cup of coffee from Jitters on her hand. “Wow, (Y/N), are you ok?” She asked when she saw your face, causing Cisco’s laugh.

“C’mon! Do I look that bad?” You asked frowning.

“I think you should go home and rest” was Caitlin reply.

“It’s just a cold, I’m sure” you sighed.

But it wasn’t. By the middle of the day you have been told to go home by everyone who came to the labs: Wells, Jesse, Cisco, Caitlin…everyone. It was frustrating. Even Barry sent you a text from Star City telling you to go home. Of course you didn’t listen to them since you didn’t feel that bad, but when it was already dark outside you forced yourself to go home after Caitlin told you had fever.

When you woke up the next day, you had to call Caitlin to tell her you wouldn’t be going to work today. You felt even worse than the day before.

“Don’t worry, we have everything covered here, I promise” she assured you before hanging up.

Still you felt bad for staying at home. Not just because you wouldn’t be able to help if something came up, but also because today Barry would be coming back from Star City after five days and you wouldn’t see him after how much you had missed him. That wasn’t strange since you had spent every single day with him since the moment he came in still in a coma. But it wasn’t until a few months ago that you had the courage to tell how you felt about him, just to find out he felt the same way all along.

Ever since, you were dating, which had turned out to be the biggest adventure of your life. He was fun, smart, sweet and loving, but he was also so protective and stubborn that it got to your nerves. You understood he was The Flash, a hero, but he didn’t understand you could make your own choices. Still, you loved him like you never loved anyone before and you couldn’t wait to see him again.

By noon you finally got a text from him saying he was back at STAR labs:

Back at the labs, how are you feeling? – Barry

You smiled a little at the text and sighing, wishing you had been there to hug him and kiss him, ignoring Cisco’s complains.

Feverish and missing you L - (Y/N)

I missed you too. I’ll go visit asap. Love you, xx – Barry

You smiled even more when you read he would visit. You imagined he would go eventually but sometimes he was too busy to do it, so you were so happy to know you would be seeing him that day after all. Putting your phone down, you covered yourself up and sighed looking up at the ceiling. You coughed a little and closed your eyes, falling asleep almost immediately.

A couple of hours later you were woken up by the sound of your door closing. You rolled around in bed trying to get your phone but it was too far so you just gave up and hide your head under the covers.

“Sorry, I didn’t mean to wake you” a very familiar voice said.

Immediately, you popped your head out and there he was. Barry Allen was standing at the end of your bed with a bag on his hand and a smile on his face. A smile that you returned but soon you were back under the covers.

“Go away! I look awful!” You exclaimed remembering how you must be looking like at the moment.

His laugh echoed the room and soon you felt the bed sinking by your side, letting you know he was just there, so you stuck your head back out.

“I haven’t seen my girlfriend in five days, I think she looks gorgeous no matter what” he said.

“You really know what a girl wants to hear, Allen” you smiled.

He chuckled while you sat up on the bed and pulled your hair into a bun. Despite what he said, you knew your aspect wasn’t the best. When you were done, you looked at him just to see that he had been staring the whole time which made you blush.

“I missed you” you said, making him smile.

“I missed you too” he replied before leaning in and wrapping his arms around you in a tight hug.

“I’m all sweaty” you chuckled.

“I don’t care” he smiled into your neck as he squeezed you. “How many times have you hug me and kiss me after being running around the city for hours?” He added.

“True” you smiled before closing your eyes.

You had missed him so much, his hugs, his smell, his embrace. All of him. He pulled away and placed a strand of hair behind your ear before leaning towards your lips but you placed a hand over his mouth, earning a confused look from him.

“I’m sick!” You explained. He took your hand off his mouth and kissed it softly.

“Then it’s a good thing I can’t get sick, right?” He smirked. You narrowed your eyes at him but didn’t have time for a comeback before he kissed you.

If you thought you missed him was because you hadn’t kissed him yet. Finally you felt like home again, like you were complete when his lips met yours.

“It’s a really good thing” you smiled when you pulled away. “How was Star City?” You asked with a frown.

“Complicated” he sighed. “They were all devastated after…Laurel” he said as he played with your hand. “She was amazing” he added.

“I know…I’m sorry” you whispered.

You never had the chance to meet Laurel Lance, aka the Black Canary, but you had heard Cisco and Barry talk about her and you had an idea about the amazing woman she was and how much she had done to protect Star City along with Oliver and the Team Arrow.

“Anyway, I brought something” Barry said looking up at you, smiling again. “But you can’t tell Caitlin or she would kill me”

“What is it?” You asked narrowing your eyes.

He smiled and took the plastic bag he had placed down on the floor. First, he took out some water and chicken soup. You raised an eyebrow: why would Caitlin kill him for that? Then he took out a chocolate ice-cream pack.

“Oh god…is it with cookies?” You asked with your eyes wide opened.

“My girl deserves the best” he winked.

“Oh my, I love you so much!” You exclaimed taking the ice-cream from his hands. “Oh, I need a sp-“ before you could finish the sentence, Barry was back from the kitchen with a spoon. “I’ll never get used to that” you laughed. Immediately you started eating it. “You want some?” You finally asked.

“I thought you’d never ask” he said taking a spoon out of his pocket and laying down next to you, sinking the spoon into the ice-cream.

Being sick wasn’t so bad if it was like this.

HUMO: You’re a feminist, you have already said that several times. Many young women do not like being associated with feminism, because in their eyes it is a movement that forbids them to wear heels.

Evelyne Brochu: Feminists are the reason that I can vote, and my main concern is not whether I should wear heels or not, but that I might soon lose that acquired right as a woman. That Donald Trump is completely disturbed. The first thing he did as president, was to abolish subsidies for abortion clinics. And isn’t it scary what humiliating statements the most powerful man in the world can make about women? Everybody says: “They are just words.” But words set the motion more often than you think. A man thinks much faster now, “If the most powerful man can say that, it is okay if I say it too.” While women previously where not given the same room as men to be angry, or different, or crazy, a man is admired for those things, “Look how strong he is and what strong opinions he has.” A woman would be called hysterical.

Women are constantly belittled. We are told how we should behave if we want to be loved. That’s my biggest concern. I could care less about those heels.

“That was 12 years ago, Gaston”

It’s been 12 years. 12 years since Gaston served in the army. This changes my perspective on so many things in the movie? Because the movie itself made it seem like it was very recent. In all honesty, I thought they’d only just returned because of their scene in ‘Belle’.

But.

If Gaston serving in war has been 12 years ago… It means Gaston is at least 30 years old. Probably a little older. Which makes sense, in all honesty I would’ve said Gaston is probably around 34. And I’m not sure how old Belle actually is, but it would mean Gaston is twice as old as she is. How old was she when Gaston came back from the army then. 5? 6? When did he start to want her? It’s obviously something that’s been going on for a while because Belle seems pretty done.

He himself, would’ve been around 15 when he got recruited for the army. Probably together with LeFou, of course, but still. They were so young. They went through everything together and I love how even after so many years, Gaston still needs LeFou around him. The poor kids…

But also, he still lives back in those days. He talks about the army quite a lot for someone who has been out for 12 years already. “Ever since the war I’ve felt like I’ve been missing something.” He’s been missing something in his life for the past 12 years… Honestly I feel bad for the man and it does make sense that he is so focused on Belle? It’s the only thing in his life he doesn’t already have. Surely Belle is what he’s been missing, right?

Also the scene in the forest with Maurice where he gets all angry and LeFou calms him down by talking about the war. If you didn’t believe him having PTSD already…

And the scene itself. He talks to Belle about his glorious days back in battle. The girl is too young to probably know anything about his life in battle (except for the hundreds of stories he’s probably been telling her). But it’s the only thing he feels like he can impress her with.

And what about his immediate response to the potential threat of the beast? Finally, after 12 years of walking through the village and spread hero stories about himself. Finally, he can show the entire village what he’s capable of.

I’m glad they took this scene out of the movie, because I don’t think it would’ve fit. But as for my understanding of Gaston’s background… Thank god they put this out as a deleted scene. There’s so many more thoughts about this being 12 years ago but I can’t seem to get them into words. Feel free to add your own thoughs on this.

ML Angst Idea: Just Like Him cont.

Continuation on this

Ladybug felt her heart shake with all the different emotions that are hitting her at once. Surprise by the reveal of her partner, Shock by her partner being Adrien Agreste, Sorrow for seeing both her partner and crush suffer for doing the right thing. Anger at how unfair it was for Adrien to be feeling this way.

The blond teen looked at his spotted partner after he wiped his tears.

“I know we are suppose to keep our identities a secret, I… I just … I don’t know.” Adrien spoke as he tried to compose himself.

“Enough of that kid, you have been tearing yourself apart over this. I think it should be fine” an agitated voice barked suddenly.

The voice belonged to the Kwami of Chat noir, a smallish black cat like creature with green eyes similar to that of Chat noir in costume. The creature was cranky, but understandably so, his chosen was going through a horrible time and he could only help him by transforming.

The kwami turned his attention to the super heroine.

“So, you are Tikki’s chosen. I am Plagg, It is a pleasure to finally meet the girl that has been haunting this boy’s dreams.” Plagg bowed

“Plagg!” Adrien irately called out. His mood seemed to have changed to embarrassment over his Kwami’s actions. The little cat seemed to know how to change Adrien’s mood rather impressively, it made Ladybug understand why this little cat was a good match for the blond.

“It is nice to meet you as well. I hope my partner didn’t cause you too much trouble.” Ladybug responded, using the kwami to change the subject.

“My Lady why?” Adrien asked, his chat like demeanor popping out.

“Nah, the kid is alright. He just has a habit of talking in his sleep. Like a few weeks ago he was having a very vivid dream about…”

Adrien quickly covered the kwami’s mouth.

“That is enough Plagg, or no Camembert for a month!” Adrien threatened as his cheeks were red with embarrassment.

“Kwami Cruelty!” Plagg shouted.

Ladybug couldn’t help but smile, seeing her partner struggle in embarrassment, it was a change of pace from the heavy mood. But she knew she would have to address it sooner or later.

“Claws out!” Adrien exclaimed as he transformed back into Chat noir. He turned his attention back to ladybug. “Sorry about that.”

Ladybug smiled

“It is fine kitty.”

Chat noir felt a bit of a grin reach his face before remembering what he did.

“So about the whole identity thing, I am sorry.” Chat noir apologized.

“I said it is fine. You don’t have to worry about it. If you want I…”

“You don’t have to show me who you are. I broke our agreement of my own will. I shouldn’t ask you to show me who you are just because I needed to vent.”

Ladybug felt her heart beat at the declaration. Here Adrien was hurting, his father in prison, his mother missing, people of paris treating him coldly, and yet he is still more concerned about her feelings. That is something Adrien would do, it was something so very Chat noir. The idea was so very both of them, that Ladybug understood how they were both one in the same.

“Chat, you really are an amazing person. You are going through so much and yet you still put my feelings over your own.” Ladybug talked as she did her best to remain steady. “You don’t deserve to go through any of this. This is something you shouldn’t be facing alone…”

“I am not alone.”

Ladybug looked at him.

“I have Plagg, I have my friend Nino, I have Nathalie, I have my friend Marinette and I have you. That is already 5 more people then I use to have.” Chat noir perked up a bit.

“4.” Ladybug spoke softly.

“4?” Chat noir repeated confused.

Chat noir’s confusion turned to surprise one he saw ladybug undo his transformation.
