“arch im kinda nervous”

i admit as we near the familiar diner

“you’ll be fine, it’s just Betty we’ve known her since we were in diapers don’t stress sis”

i huff my stomach turning as the neon sign comes into view

“i don’t know about this I haven’t been home for a really long time i think id rather just go home and rest”.

we pull into the parking lot and i turn to beg to my brother but he pulls the keys out of the ignition

“come (y/n) they are excited to see you, it’s been years at least come in for something to eat then I promise ill drive you home whenever you want”

i sit back and think it over before my brother starts again “dad wants me to help you ease back into it- it’s your first day back at school and wouldn’t you rather have people to talk with tomorrow so it’s not so-” he pauses

“terrifying” i finish

“i was going to say daunting but yeah terrifying works too” i huff
“fine but you owe me Archie big time” a smile spreads across his face as he gets out of his truck. “what have i gotten myself into” i think aloud copying my brothers actions and following him toward the entrance.

“oh and heads up I kinda didn’t tell them you were in town-”

i spin on my heels but he grabs my shoulders “it was supposed to be a surprise” he whines i run my hand over my face “fine- you’re so annoying you know that right”.

he sighs throwing his arm over me and walking me toward our normal booth we’re a spot Betty, Kevin & an unfamiliar raven headed girl.

“arch who’s the other girl-”

“(y/n)” i hear Betty call looking shell shocked

“i-i- I can’t believe your here I-” she chokes on her words.
things didn’t exactly end well between Betty & our friends when I left, after my parents divorce i went into a downward spiral and i was forced to leave with my mother no note no explanation to any of my friends as to where i was going or why and let’s just say i was terrified that they hated me.

“betts” i smile tears welling up

she looked so much older from when I last saw her the more I looked the more she looked different yet entirely the same. she stand from the booth her blonde hair swishing in her ponytail as she rushes over to wrap her arms around me pulling me into her warm embrace

“i thought you were never coming back” she whispers as she held me “me either” i whisper back crying slightly.

i pull away and wipe my eyes glancing to Kevin who’s jaw was lying on the ground “you going to close your mouth and come give me a hug or?”

he glances to me shocked with no movement as if he’s too scared to move in case I run “Kev!” i joke

I spread my arms as he climbs over the raven haired stranger and leap into my arms causing me to stumble back slightly.

“wow” he breathes pulling me at arms length examining me

“girl you got hot” he blurts

I laugh tearing up at the sight of my best friends “you finally grew your hair out im obsessed you look so so so good Chicago treated you well”

i run my fingers through my long red hair “thanks kev, it did it really did” “oh and you look so much thinner!”

I freeze at the comment catching my brothers gaze.

he senses my reaction and laughs stiffly

” I mean you look great, seriously” i breathe a sigh of relief laughing to cover my awkwardness.

“thank you i decided to loose a few pounds and well it worked!”

they smile at me “well have a seat we’ll order and we can catch up!” Archie offers and i nod slipping into the booth opposite Betty Kevin and the other girl.

“you going to introduce me to your pretty friend?”

i ask glancing at Betty

“oh of course this is Veronica Lodge-”

“Ronnie works” she smiles at me

“im (y/n) Andrews im-” “Archie’s twin?”

i nod “obvious?” i mentally face palm “yeah the red hairs a bit of a giveaway” i nod my brother sliding into the seat next to me.

“so you’ve met my sister ronnie” she nods sipping her milkshake “I sure have, will you be going to school this semester”

i nod “i sure am, now both the crazy red headed twins will be attending Riverdale hey arch” i nudge my brother.

it falls silent at my comment and i shift uncomfortably

“oh my god- what did I say?” i glance around Veronica looking equally confused.

“what other twins” she askes confused

“the blossoms..” i finish

“(y/n) I thought I told you about Jason in the car” i furrow my eyebrows at him “I just came from the airport arch i was half asleep and jet lagged i don’t think I was really paying all too much attention to you” i laugh.

“god please don’t tell me their dead- i was going to ask Cheryl for my spot back on the vixens, I miss cheer the girls in Chicago were awful”

still silence

“Jesus will someone tell me what’s going on” my brother touches my shoulder gently

“Jason was killed a few months ago- it was the Fourth of July weekend-” i zone out my breathe catching in my throat.

this is why mum didn’t want me to return home, there’s a murder running around. everything makes sense now while it seemed so eerie when I first got back and how mum refused to let me contact anyone from back home including Archie the past month.

“wow” i exhale “i had no idea- but polly oh my god Betty your sister must be devastated” she nods inhaling sharply let i said something wrong.

I glance down to my food not feeling hungry at all “um arch can we go home im not feel so hot I think I need some rest before tomorrow”

he nods “of course” “ill see you guys tomorrow” i smile waving goodbye to my friends before following my brother out of Pops and into his truck

“you okay?” i nod my attention slipping away “yeah just a lot to process that’s all” he nods pulling out of the parking lot driving toward home.

and you couldn’t help but think something was off something was missing or maybe it wasn’t a something it was a someone

Teen Romance Flick 101

Word Count: 14K+
Pairing: Peter Parker x Female Reader
Summary: After failing your Algebra test you have to ask Peter Parker– one of the best students– to be your tutor. As you get to know each other better, feelings begin to develop between the two of you.
Warnings: None.
A/N: This is one of the most common tropes and let me tell ya: I haven’t got one single regret. I kept characters nameless and generic because I don’t want to mess up the characterization of the Homecoming characters– but I’ll probably update this fic when it comes out to make it fit better in that universe. [F/N] stands for Full Name in case you don’t realize it.

You stare at the giant red F on your test and you feel your stomach clenching, because you studied so much for this test and it still wasn’t enough. The bell rings and your classmates stand up, rushing out of the room to get out as soon as possible– but you stay behind, putting everything on your backpack slower than usual. Once everyone is out you walk to your teacher and take a deep breath before coughing to get her attention.

“Ah, [Y/N]. I was thinking you were going to talk to me after class.” She says with a warm smile and that makes you feel worse– because she’s an incredible teacher and person and she tried so hard with you, but no matter how much effort comes from both of you the fact that you are a big class with many students is a guarantee that she just won’t be able to give you all the attention you need to fully understand what you have to do.

You smile back but it’s only half-hearted– and she sighs and joins her hands on top of her desk.

“You can take a make-up test in two weeks– and that’s the best I can do to help you work out a solution for your grade.” You feel your soul returning to your body and let out a sigh of relief, because not everything is lost.

“Thank you so much. I really tried but Algebra is just so hard for me–” You say apologetically and she lifts up a hand, shaking her head.

“I know you did. You’re a good student, [Y/N]. I know that. Which is why I have a suggestion for you– to help you understand Algebra better.”

“Yes! Anything, really.” You respond eagerly, nodding.

“A tutor. A student who has no problem with the subject and can explain things to you one on one– someone you can ask any questions you possibly have how many times you want.”

“I can’t believe I hadn’t thought of that. Well… I guess it’s because I only know two people who are good at Algebra, and they have way too much on their plates for me to ask them to tutor me on top of that. So, do you know about anyone I can ask?” You ask with a hopeful smile, while wracking your brain to try and remember which students in other classes are good at Algebra– but you’ve never cared enough to find out so you come up empty. Your teacher grins and nods.

“Peter Parker.”

“Before I tell you anything else, I need you to know that I’m okay,” you said quickly when dean answered the phone.

“Y/N what’s going on?” Dean asked gruffly. You could easily picture the scowl, the clench of his jaw, that worried look on his face. And it was only going to get worse.

“I’m in the hospital,” you said, wincing.

What?!” Dean exclaimed angrily, making you drop your face into your hands. Oh, this was going to be so very terrible… “What happened?” he growled, but before you could even open your mouth to respond, he changed his mind. “Never mind. Just tell me where you are, I’ll be right there.”

You heard him long before you saw him. He was practically shouting down the hall looking for you, stomping along in those heavy boots of his. Finally someone must have told him where you were, because then the door was slamming open, and a whole lot of panicked Dean came barreling through.

“Are you okay?” He demanded, grabbing your face in his hands. His eyes were darting around, checking you for injuries. That was when he saw your knee. “What. Happened.”

I fell Dean. I’m fine.”

“That doesn’t look fine.”

“I sprained it, okay? That’s all,” you reassured him, patting his arm. Thankfully he was interrupted as the doctor came in.

“Mrs. Winchester,” he began, glancing up from your chart, “oh, you must be her husband.” Dean shot you a glance, but he nodded instead of blowing your story. It had been the only way they would let him in to see you. “It looks like a pretty good sprain, but nothing too serious. I’d recommend advil and some ice, but otherwise just rest and try to keep your weight off it for a few days. If you’re not better in a couple weeks, we can explore other options, maybe do an MRI. Other than that, you’re free to leave.” The doctor shook each of your hands, and then he was gone again.

“Stay here and rest, I’ll go get the paperwork squared away,” Dean grumbled, still sounding angry despite the less-than-serious diagnosis.

“Bullshit…” you muttered as he left, reaching over for the crutches leaning against the wall. You hopped off the bed, wincing as your muscles protested the movement. They were sore, but nothing felt too bad, so you snatched up the crutches and limped out into the hall. Dean turned at the sound from where he stood at the nurses’ station and gave you a look so terrible you stopped in your tracks and briefly reconsidered your priorities. But then you clenched your jaw and continued hobbling over to him.

“What are you doing? Go sit down.”

“No. We’re leaving, come on.”

“You’re insane, you know that? You’re going to hurt yourself.”

“Screw you,” you retorted angrily, turning to go past him. But Dean reached out and snagged the back of your jacket, holding you in place as he signed the paperwork - with a fake name, so what the hell was the point? - and listened carefully to the nurse’s instructions.

“Hey,” Dean scolded when you tried to rip out of his grip, “seriously, will you calm down for two minutes?”

“I’ve been here for three hours,” you hissed, “I called you for a ride, so get me the hell out of here already!” Dean narrowed his eyes at you, but you just glared right back at him. When a muscle in his jaw twitched, you realized he was really mad. Well, shit.

“Fine. Let’s go,” he said tightly, gesturing for you to lead the way down the hall. It was slow going with the crutches, but soon enough the two of you were out in the parking lot and Dean opened the passenger door of the impala for you.

“I don’t need help,” you snapped when he went to grab your arm and help you into the car. Dean growled something under his breath, crossing his arms and watching you struggle until one of the crutches slipped and you went plummeting towards the ground. Strong arms caught you, and then you were pulled against Dean’s chest in a tight embrace. Before you could say anything, Dean was speaking, his voice right in your ear.

“I know you don’t need help, okay? But you also don’t need to do this by yourself. Let me help, sweetheart.” You pulled back and looked up at him, green eyes sincere, his expression worried. When you finally nodded, Dean cracked a smile and kissed your forehead, helping you into the car.

Masterpost

It had been a week since I ended my relationship with Monty and since that moment I had been receiving messages and calls, which I didn’t answer, he tried to talk with me every day in the halls or at lunch, but I had avoid him perfectly.

I understood why he felt the need of talking with me, because for him it didn’t make sense that what we had would had ended, our relationship worked so good, we were the image of balance you need between two people in order to make something work. I heard people talk when I passed next to them, how the wonder why we had broken up.

The truth was that I was broken inside, but I was the best when it came to pretend a complete different feeling outside that what I was feeling inside, for example right now in the inside my heart was completely shattered and even more when I saw Monty and his attempts of talking with me, but in the outside I made it look like if I didn’t care about him, like if I didn’t even know him.

I thought that he would end up giving up and he would move on with his life, but day after day he kept coming to me, he didn’t want to forget about us.

There was a day in particular that I found really hard, Monty’s birthday. That day everyone wished him happy birthday in the halls, someone even invited me to the party they were throwing for him at Bryce’s, I obviously wouldn’t go.

When I opened my locker I saw his present, I had bought it a month ago because there were a couple of tickets for an important baseball game and I knew how much he wanted to go and his mother didn’t let him buy the ticket because he got a bad grade, but I knew he wold end up passing that subject and that’s why I bought them, but now they were useless.

I had them in my hand, but I didn’t put them out of my locker so that way no one would see them. That was the first day I felt I could end up crying in front of everyone in that hall, but the sound of a locker closing next to me brought me back to reality and I left the tickets, closing my locker like if there were a bomb inside.

I leaned my back against the cold metal and I looked at the people around me until my eyes met with his for a few seconds, making him start coming in my direction.

“(Y/N) wait please!” he exclaimed when I started to walk away from him.

“Happy birthday Monty!” I looked behind for a second to see how one of the cheerleaders had stopped him to talk to him, even though he kept looking at me.

I locked myself in one of the cubicles in the bathroom, I had to go to my next class, but I didn’t think I could make it; I needed to take a break.

My hands were shaking, which made me even more nervous, so I crossed my arms in front of me, trying to make them stop. I repeated over and over again that everything would be fine; that I had made the right decision even thought it was painful.

I leaned my back on one of the cubicle walls and I slid until I was sitting on the floor, I hugged my legs against my chest and when I heard the bell rang that’s when I burst into tears.

I made myself stop when I heard the bathroom door opening, I even hold my breath to make it look like I wasn’t there, but they had heard me.

“I know there’s someone there” I heard a familiar voice say “I didn’t mean to bother you, but if you need help… I won’t judge” then I recognized the voice, it was my loved friend Hannah.

“It’s me…” I sniffed not moving from my position “(Y/N)” I added.

Silence appeared for a few seconds before I saw under the door how Hannah had sat on the other side.

“Do you want to talk about it?” she knew everything I was going through and all my thoughts, sometimes I wondered if she knew me better than I know myself.

“No” my voice cracked in that moment, showing that I was worse than I expected “I don’t know…”

“I know I’ve said this before… but I think you should do something about it and you should definitely talk to Monty and hear what he has to say about it”

Silence appeared again, this time longer than before. I knew Hannah was right, but if I talked about it I feel like the pain wouldn’t stop and if I talk to Monty I didn’t know how that conversation could end up.

I opened the cubicle door and Hannah stood up quickly, wrapping her arms around me instead of say or ask something else, I hugged her back until I felt I had my strength back.

I spent the rest of the hour with her, talking about the possible scenarios I could find when I talk with Monty, even though I don’t think anything could prepare me for what I would find.

When the bell rang again when left the bathroom and Hannah went to her next class, wishing me luck, and I walked to the classroom where I knew I would find Monty.

He was talking to Zach when they exited the class and when I saw him my heart skipped a beat and my body froze, I was close to turn around and leave, run away as fast as I could, but I saw Zack warning Monty of my presence and when he looked at me he stopped talking.

He started walking in my direction; I guess he thought I’d try to run from him, because I saw his surprised expression when he noticed I didn’t move, looking at him all the time.

“Ca-can we talk?” he sounded almost confused.

I just nodded while I bit my lip, so hard that in any moment I could start tasting the blood.

We walked in silence to the gym, which was empty. I drop my bag on the floor next to the bleachers and I turned in his direction.

“I’m sorry, okay? I don’t know what I’ve done wrong, but I’m sorry, please forgive me” He said walking towards me and taking my hands in his.

I looked at our hands and then at him again. People weren’t use to see this side of Monty, how he needed another person and he would do anything to keep someone by his side, even though he hadn’t to act like the asshole everyone thinks he is.

I put my hands away from him and I saw in his eyes how much that hurt him “You haven’t done anything wrong Monty” I said with a weak smile “You are the perfect boyfriend, every girl would be lucky to have you”

I didn’t know if his expression was more confused or surprised by my words.

“But then… why? Why did you break up?” that was the hard part of this conversation.

“Because…” I sighed heavily looking at my hands, I couldn’t stop playing with them “You deserve someone better Monty and-“

“What? What do you mean with someone better?” he said cutting me “I want you (Y/N), I deserve you” he cupped my face with his hands to make me look him in the eyes.

“You don’t get it… I… I can’t give you what you need” I put my hands on his, moving them away from me “I’m sorry Mont, sorry that I can’t believe that anybody ever really starts to fall in love with me, it is not your fault, I’m a mess and I’m never going to change, I’m sorry if I’ve hurt you because that’s the last thing I wanted to do…”

We stared at each other in silence, I was trying to keep my façade and not start crying and I really think he was feeling the same way because he started biting his lip, something he only does when he’s feeling vulnerable.

“I don’t know what’s going on” he said in a calm tone “But (Y/N), I love you, I am in love with you” he got closer to me if that was even possible “Please tell me what’s happening, let me help you. I’ve tried to ignore it because I know you don’t like to talk about your problems, but this is enough” he put one of his hands in my cheek and that gesture and his words were what he needed to break me and let the tears fall fast through my cheeks.

Without a second thought he brought me towards him and he hugged me, rubbing my hair slowly and kissing my temple. I wrapped my arms around his waist tightly, like if something was going to try to take him away from me.

It seemed like if we stayed like that for an eternity and I was okay with that, because being between his arms was my favourite place to be.

“I didn’t want to…” I cried griping his shit “I didn’t want to…” I repeated closing my eyes tightly.

Monty made some space between us to be able to look at me and when I opened my eyes to see him I noticed how worried he was.

“(Y/N) what’s going on?” I closed my eyes again and I tighten my lips together trying to find the right way to say what I had to say.

“Something happened to me…” I opened my eyes to see his face when he heard my words through my shaky voice “in that party we went two weeks ago…” my tears started to fall faster and my voice was cracking with every word.

“Wh-what do you mean? What happened?” I could hear how fast his heart was beating in that moment, even faster than mine.

“I drank too much… an-and I went to one of the rooms to rest” I sobbed “someone entered the room… I thought it was you when I felt kisses in my neck” I bit my lip trying to stay as calm as I could “but when I opened my eyes it wasn’t you…” I cried even more than before because of the memory.

I felt his body tense under my hands and how much he was trying to keep himself together.

“I-I tried to push him away… but I couldn’t” he wrapped his arms around me again and I cried with my face hidden in his neck “I was so scared….” I whispered “I tried to scream… fight… and I couldn’t”

“Who did it?” he asked in a cold tone after a few minutes in silence.

I didn’t say anything so he made me look at him and he repeated the question.

“I know what you’ll do if I tell you who did it” I said wiping my tears.

“Of course you know it! I’m going to do what that son of a bitch deserves!” he exclaimed finally losing it “Why didn’t you tell me anything? You should have come to me first” he add softening his voice and trying to make me look him in the eyes.

“Because I still can’t believe this has happened” I answered looking at him and starting my crying again.

“I’m sorry” he said quickly cupping my face with his hands and kissing my forehead “I’m sorry” he said once again “fuck this is so frustrating” he whispered before making me look at him “but you’re going to be okay, I promise” now he seemed to feel guilty and that made me feel even worse “I’m going to be by your side through everything and that asshole it’s going to pay” I shacked my head when I realized what he meant.

“I’m not going to do anything” I said it so weakly that I almost couldn’t hear me, but I know he heard me because of how he reacted.

“You can’t let this go away so easily babe” he tried to sound as calm as he could “You can’t let him go away with what he’s done”

“I can’t do this Monty… I know what’s going to happen if everyone knows about what happened, one way or another people will look at me and talk about me; it’s his word against mine”

“If someone dares to say something about you I’ll make sure they don’t see the sun again” I couldn’t help but smile weakly, even though I wouldn’t let him do anything to anyone it was a relief knowing that I could count on him and that he was by my side no matter what.

“I love you” I said out of nowhere, getting what I wanted, which was see him smile “I just thought you would be better without me after what happened, because I don’t know if I will be the same again” I said looking at him through my glassy eyes.

“There’s nothing you can do that makes me stop loving you” he said caressing my cheeks with his thumbs.

I put my hands on his and I closed my eyes, enjoying the touch of his skin against mine.

“Mont?”

“Yeah?”

“You have to promise me that you won’t do anything if I tell you who did this” I said after a long silence.

I didn’t want to say his name out loud because it was something pretty painful, but I think Monty deserved to know.

“I… I promise you” he said not very sure

I opened my eyes, I knew he would be furious no matter the name I said, but I knew even better that when he heard who did this he probably would lose it, but I had to do it “It was Bryce…” I said feeling a lump on my throat.

I felt his hands tense and I could see how he clenched his jaw; he had to sigh deep a couple of times to control his berating.

I slide my hands through his forearms, making him come back to this moment and not think about all the possible scenarios where he killed Bryce. There was a mix of rage and helplessness in his eyes, something I hadn’t seen before.

“I’m so sorry for doing this to you, I’m sorry for ruining your birthday” I said with a shaky voice.

“You haven’t ruined anything” he said calmly “You haven’t done anything wrong, do you hear me? So stop apologizing” he added kissing my forehead.

I gave him my best smile thanking him his words “Can we leave?” I asked in a whisper.

He nodded before kissing my lips carefully and wrapping his arm around my shoulders. He grabbed my bag and we left for the rest of the day.

After that day I didn’t go to school for a few days, the same way I didn’t go the week after the party, it was like coming back to that again.

Monty came to my house after classes and he stayed until I fell sleep at night, but that day he didn’t showed up at his usual hour, I decided to wait in case something came up and he was coming late, but after an hour I called him, not getting an answer and then I started to get worried.

I went to his house to look for him, I saw his jeep on the entrance and that calmed me a little bit because at least I knew where he was, but when I knock at the door and nothing happened I started to get worried again. I took the emergency key, which I obviously knew where it was and I got in like if I were at my own house.

“Monty?” the house was in complete silence.

I went upstairs to his room and then I heard his voice, in his bathroom, I heard how he was swearing and letting some groans scape his lips.

“Monty?” I asked knocking at the door.

I suddenly stopped hearing him and after a few seconds he unlocked the door, I waited for him to open it, but when he didn’t I pushed it open and then I saw him, he had a black eye and cuts in his nose, cheek and lips.

My eyes were wide open by that moment and I went to him quickly, taking his face between my hands carefully.

“What happened?” I asked worried.

I didn’t get an answer, just the look he gave me every time he does something he know I don’t approve and then I knew it, I knew what he had done so I put my hands away from him.

“I had to do it, I promise you I’ve tried to control it all this time, but today I couldn’t help it anymore” I noticed how his voice was about to crack “I couldn’t do like anything happened after what he did and I wasn’t there to stop it” and then it hit me, he felt more gilt than all the rage he could hold against Bryce and getting in a fight with him was a way to try to release all that guilt.

“Look at me” I said putting my hands on his neck “there’s nothing you could’ve done, you can’t blame yourself for this”

“I should have been with you and nothing would have happened” he said with tears in his eyes.

I wrapped my arms around his neck and brought him closer to me, trying to comfort him “stop it Mont, it’s not your fault” I felt his arms around my waist and how his body relaxed under our touch.

I didn’t know how I would get over this or if I could be the same again, stop feeling this fear that something is about to happen all the time or the feeling that I’m hopeless, but if I knew something for sure was that if I had Monty by my side I would be fine and we’d get over this together.

Unfaithful (Part II)

(Part I)

A Little late, I know… But hopefully worth it!

Warnings: Language, mentions of domestic violence (on reader)

I adjusted Daniel, making sure he did not fall off my hip as i walked down the streets of my old hometown. Nothing changed since the last time I was here.

I walked towards Polly’s house, trying to keep my head down, in the hopes I could avoid all of the other Shelby’s. When I knocked on the door, I saw the curtains peel back a little, then the door swung open quickly, hitting the wall.

I was pulled into a hug by the woman who I considered a second mother, trying not to flinch when she squeezed me. After a few seconds of silent embracing, she pulled back to look at me. My eyes flew to the ground, not wanting to look into hers as she saw the reason I was here.

“My god…” She whispered, placing her hand on my chin to fully examine my wounds.

I knew I had a bruise surrounding my left eye that was slowly fading. There would have been a scratch on my cheek and a large bruise around my neck. Those didnt include the ones that would no doubt show up in an hour or two from what happened today.

“You been fighting in a ring or something?” I scoffed and placed my son down on the ground, hissing at the stabbing pain in my side.

“Sure as hell feels like I have.” Polly grabbed my hand and led me to the couch. I sat down, never meeting her eyes.

“Who did this to you?”

“You know I’m not going to tell you that.” She sat back in her chair with a sigh.

“Okay. So let’s start with where you’ve been for almost two years.” I released a shaky breath I didn’t even know I was holding.

“When I left your house, I moved back home with my parents for a month or two. They weren’t too happy to see me, knowing that it meant something happened between Tommy and I.”

I paused for a second, remembering the day I found my husband sleeping with the woman he told me I need not worry about.

“I stayed there until I met someone. It was a man I knew from childhood. He offered me a place to stay, in return for my assistance in the house. His wife had died a few months before, and he was having a hard time taking care of his lad. So I agreed. Everything was fine until we started getting involved.”

Polly could see that what I’d been through was horrible. “You don’t have to talk about it if you don’t want to.”

“No, it’s fine. I need to talk to someone Pol.” She nodded, beckoning me to continue. “We started to let our relationship develop after eight months of me just tending to his house, cooking for him, and making sure his son was alright. It was actually fantastic in the beginning. He was sweet for a while. For six months he bought me things and treated me like the fucking queen. And then the gifts stopped. The affection stopped. The adoration stopped. It all stopped and the pain began.”

I sighed thinking back to the countless beatings. For no reason at all really.

“Why’d it take you so long to leave? You know you will always be family. We could have gotten you a house. You and Tommy have a son for fucks sake!”

“The physical pain was bearable. I could take a hit. But I couldn’t come back and watch him be with someone else Pol. That was more likely to kill me than the punches.”

It was hours before Polly and I were interrupted by her nephews. I thanked god Tommy wasn’t with them.

“Polly!” Arthur burst through the door, holding up a battered John. They both paused when they set their eyes on me.

“John, what have you done to yourself this time?” I asked with a small smile in my lips.

“Where the hell have you been sister?” Arthur sat john in a chair before coming over to embrace me, burying his face in my hair. His hug hurt, but I missed my Shelby boys.

Well, most of them.

“Oi, what happened to your face?” John asked from his seat. Arthur turned me around so the light from the fire illuminated my bruises, his eyes softening. Arthur was always caring and protective.

“I tripped and fell down some stairs.” I lied, not trying to convince them, but to let them know I wasn’t talking about it. Especially with them. They were known for acting at the flip of a coin, never fully thinking anything through.

“Bullshit. A man has been putting his hands on her.” My head snapped to the left.

“Polly! Can I not tell you anything in confidence?!”

“Not when it concerns your safety (Y/N).”

“Who is the bloke, aye? We’ll have to go and let him know that no one fucks with the Peaky Blinders.” The younger Shelby stood from his seat shouting.

“I’m not a peaky blinder John! I don’t need you two going out and fighting my battles anymore! I’m not a little girl.” The front door started to rattle and my heart stopped.

This is it. I have to face Tommy now. The man I’d been avoiding for more than a year.

When Michael walked through the door with Finn in tow, I allowed air to fill my lungs.

“(Y/N)!” They both shouted, lining up to hug me.

“Finn, you’ve grown a whole fucking foot!” I laughed, looking up at the boy who I remembered towering over at one point. There was a comfortable silence in the room as I looked around at the family i had missed so much.

“Does Tommy know you’re here?” Michael asked, ruining my nostalgic thoughts. I shook my head, avoiding everyone’s eyes.

“How about you boys go into the kitchen and I’ll take Y/N upstairs to clean up.” They all agreed, each one stopping to kiss my forehead before exiting the room. I sighed and pressed my hand to the side of my body where there was a throbbing pain, finally realizing how exhausted I was from my trip here.

I walked upstairs after reassuring Polly I would be fine as long as someone was watching Daniel. I remembered where everything was and had no problem fitting into the clothes that I had left here over a year ago.

I stopped in front of the vanity mirror that sat to the side of the bed, staring at the reflection that I barely recognized anymore. My hair hung past my shoulders, still dripping water. My skin was still dark and looked filthy, despite the scrubbing I had just done minutes prior.

When I left the room after dressing myself, I could hear my son crying. It was well past his bedtime and the only way he would calm down now is if he had a cup of warm milk.

I started down the stairs and became confused when Danny’s cries suddenly stopped.

“You boys haven’t let my son cry himself to sleep have you?” I questioned as I rounded the corner, immediately regretting even coming back to Small Heath in the first place.

Standing directly across from me was Tommy Shelby, a pair of small arms wrapped around his neck.

The talking ceased, the air became thick. Visions of Tommy fucking that woman replaying over and over in my head.

He hadn’t changed one bit. His eyes were still a piecing blue, but they sported something I had never seen before. And I couldn’t quite put my finger on it.

“(Y/N)…” I physically flinched at the sound of his voice saying my name.

I held my hand up, signaling him to stop.

“Everyone out.” I said flatly. When no one moved, I tore my eyes from Tommy’s to look at the lot of them. “I mean it! I don’t care where you go, just get out of here!” They were startled my volume. They had obviously forgotten who I was. “Polly, can you put Daniel down for me please?” I asked in a much softer tone. She nodded and went to take the boy from her nephew, who looked very reluctant to let him out of his sight.

Then we were alone.

As always, I love feedback and criticism. It is 100% ACCEPTED. So let me know how you liked it. And if you have any input for what you want to see in the next part. :)

Imagine Chris bringing you breakfast at work.

“Morning, baby.” Chris mumbled into your skin as he peppered it with soft kisses. You stretched in his arms and smiled, pressing your back against his front. “I’m definitely going to miss waking up to you when I have to leave for ‘Infinity War’.”

“Aw, sweetheart.” You reached behind you and looped your arm around his neck, pressing your face against his pouty one. “I’m going to miss you too. But hey,” you reached for your phone to check the date and your remaining days together, when you saw the time; 8:14AM, you were late for work. “I gotta go!” You broke out of Chris’ grip and jumped out of bed, nearly falling face first when your feet got caught on the sheets.

“You’re going to go to a funeral home if you’re not careful,” he sat up, chuckling. “Babe, relax.” He told you; you resembled a pinball as you bounced around the room, scrambling an outfit while you brushed your teeth. “I’m sure Xenia can manage without you for a while, I mean- who’s getting flowers so early in the morning?”

“You don’t understand.” You told him as you continued to brush; it was probably hard for others to understand, but Chris had your toothbrush talk down pat. “We’ve got a huge order of table arrangements to do today. It’s for a wedding and the bride’s totally insane, if she comes in to do an impromptu check- Xenia’s going to be fucking pissed I’m not there.”

“Okay, well- you still need breakfast, so I’m going to go quickly whip something up for you to have on-the-go. What do you want?” He flipped the covers off his legs and started to get out of bed when you stopped him.

“No time,” you told him then entered the bathroom to rinse and spit. “Don’t worry about it, babe. I’m not very hungry anyway, I’ll just pick something up later on my lunch break.” You told him and closed the ensuite door behind you so you could pee then change.

While you were changing, you heard footsteps which meant Chris was doing what you told him not to anyway. You sighed with a smile because you loved how unbelievably caring your boyfriend was, that smile faltered slightly when you realized it wouldn’t be long until you had to say goodbye to him for at least nine months. God, you were going to miss that perfect specimen of a man.

You went downstairs and into the kitchen to kiss Chris goodbye and chuckled softly at his variation of “quickly whip something up for you to have on-the-go.” You’d usually just make a smoothie or a protein shake for him when he was running late, but Chris? He had to make a feast with pancakes and bacon and eggs. For a man who was about to run off and be Captain America for the last time, one would think he’d cut his normal eating habits.

“Chris, baby. I love you, but I really don’t have time for any of this,” you told him then pressed a kiss on his cheek. “I have to go, okay?” You grabbed an apple from your fridge then headed for the front door, Chris following behind you. “I’ll see you after work?” You quizzed as you cupped his clean shaved face in your hand; he nodded. “I would really like to see Cap with a beard in 'Infinity War’, you should really pitch that.”

“Maybe he does and I just shaved to throw you off,” he teased and you laughed then pecked his lips before heading for your car. “Drive safe,” he called as you climbed in. He waved until you drove out of the driveway and around the corner.
• • • • • • • •
“I can’t say I like you with Chris,” Xenia began and your eyes narrowed. “Without him, you’re always on time for work. With him, you’re almost always late.” You chuckled when you realized she was just teasing you. “What do you two get up to every night, hm?” She smirked and you laughed, feeling slight heat rise to your cheeks when you thought back to your late nights with your boyfriend.

“Like I haven’t covered for you when you go out and party a little too hard with Tris,” you playfully bit back and she chuckled. “Speaking of, congratulations.” You smiled when you saw her smile; she’d just gotten engaged to her girlfriend of six years. “I can’t wait to see how beautiful your wedding is.”

“And I can’t wait to order flowers from a shop where we don’t have to arrange them,” she said and you both laughed. “What about you and Chris?” She asked when you both settled. “Think you’re ever going to tie the knot with him?”

“I’d like to,” you nodded, smiling. “But it’s not really my choice, is it? He knows I’m in it for the long haul, if he wants the same thing then- he can propose. But I’m not going to push him, I’m good with what we have. Plus- I think he’s got enough on his plate at the moment with 'Infinity War’ coming up and his contract ending.”

“Is he planning on signing another?”

“I don’t know,” you shrugged. “He’s said a few times that if Marvel wants him, they have him, but I personally feel he’d be happier doing something else. He loves directing and he was so happy directing 'Before We Go’, so maybe he’ll go look for something else to direct. He just wants to be known for more than Captain America, and he should- he is so talented.” You were so busy talking about Chris that you didn’t realize he’d walked into the shop and had heard everything you said; he smiled at Xenia who’d spotted him the second he walked in.

“I think you have a customer,” Xenia beckoned her head at Chris and you turned around; you immediately smiled when you saw his face. He held up a little picnic basket and you knew he’d brought breakfast to you. “Oh my God,” Xenia chuckled when you turned back to her, suppressing your excited smile with pressed lips. “You’re not even engaged yet and you can’t spend a minute apart,” she teased and you and Chris laughed. “Go, I’ve got this.”

“Thank you,” you reached over the workbench and hugged her, before gesturing for Chris to follow you into the back room. He gave Xenia a quick peck on the top of her head as he walked past, making her laugh. “Yes, fooood.” You cheered as Chris laid out the spread his made this morning on the table. “I’m so hungry.”

“I knew you were lying about being hungry,” he chuckled. “You’re always hungry.”

“True,” you grinned as you forked a piece of pancake onto your paper plate. “Mmm!”

Chris chuckled as you audibly enjoy his breakfast, there wouldn’t be a day where he wouldn’t find you adorable. His chuckles turned into laughter when you did a little dance in your chair, humming happily as you ate. God, you were such a dork, but at least you were his dork. He reached across the table and took your hand in his, pulling it to his lips. You raised an eyebrow as he kissed the back of your hand; he smiled in response.

“I thought the flowers were going to be the prettiest thing in this shop, I was very wrong.” He complimented and you chuckled, shaking your head. “You know,” he said as he released your hand, scooping himself some scrambled eggs. “This is the first time I’ve brought a girl breakfast after she skipped out on me in the morning.”

“We’re dating,” you chuckled.

“Still left me cold and alone,” he pouted then laughed when you laughed. “But hey, some girls are just worth chasing.” He shot you a wink and you smiled, kissing the air in front of you. “So, you think I’m talented, huh?” He began with a smirk, feeding himself some eggs.

“Of course I do. I’ve always thought you were talented, incredibly talented for a matter-of-fact.” Your eyes narrowed at his question; it seemed random to you until you realized he was talking about what he heard earlier. It dawned on you that he might have also heard you talking about marrying him. “Exactly when did you walk in on our conversation?”

“Around the time when my beautiful girlfriend starting complimenting me,” he told you and you let out a breath you didn’t know you were holding in. “But,” he continued and you tensed, “I may have also heard said beautiful girlfriend talking about marrying me.”

“Oh,” was all you could manage.

“Hey,” he chuckled when he saw your tension; he reached over the table and placed his hand over yours. “Don’t look so worried, that’s definitely the direction we’re headed.” Your shoulders relaxed a little and you smiled at him. “I’ve just got a lot on my plate at the moment, like you said. I want to marry you, you bet your ass I’m going to marry you.” You laughed at that. “But I’m going to do it when things settle a little, okay?”

“Okay,” you nodded, smiling.

“I love you a lot more than you know, Y/N,” he told you. “You’re never going to be the one that got away,” he assured you then kissed the back of your hand again. You smiled and pressed your hand against his face, to which he turned in to and kissed your palm. “Never.”

“Likewise, Evans.”

Okay I’m pretty sure Lay did the whole “he spread my butt cheeks” thing he did to Xiumin to Taeyong.
Where the hell did Lay’s hand go?
Why did the inside of Taeyong thigh lift up?
Why did Taeyong move to the side like something touched him that he wasn’t prepared for?
What did Lay say in Taeyong’s ear?
“It’s refreshing, right?”????
Lay, why must you grab everyone’s ass?
What is that? I need answers why are you like this?

Imagine your first fight with Chris.

A/N: Part 3 😭 Did I cry? Oh, I definitely would’ve if I wrote this in the privacy of my own home. But seeing as I was in public, I had to take a few deep breaths and get through it without crying. You can read the previous parts here: (Mini-series - Masterlist; Mini-series Spin-off: ‘Unexpected Reader - Masterlist’, ‘Little Ways Away - Part 1/Part 2)

Friday came and that meant it’d been five days since Chris last spoke with you, and five days since you started ignoring his calls. Both of you were going insane not being able to speak to the other, but that was where you were at and needed to be. So Chris took Sebastian’s advice into consideration and stopped pushing, he ate up whatever lie you gave him and hoped you’d call soon because he was seriously missing your voice. You wanted to call, God, you wanted to call. You wanted to hear his voice; you wanted to see his face on your computer screen; you wanted to tell him about how Jack dropped a fork down a customer’s dress and hear him bellow with laughter, but you couldn’t.

Things with you hadn’t improved; you were still stressed and on the verge of having a mental breakdown that you didn’t want to bother your very busy boyfriend with. As frustrating as you knew you were being, you still believed Chris was better off not knowing. You believed that because you hadn’t talked to him, you couldn’t hear how worried he was about you; how stressed he was because he couldn’t talk to you; how much he needed you while he was pulling sixteen hour days miles from the girl he loved. He, too, was on the verge of having a mental breakdown but was too afraid that you’d do what Sebastian said if he pushed too hard. So he left you alone, gave you the space you apparently needed, and suffered in silence.

The two of you really were too similar, incredibly good at repeating history, and becoming increasingly insufferable to those around you. If you’d just let your incredibly wise best friend give you some brutally honest advice, you wouldn’t be in this situation and the last five days wouldn’t have been your hell on earth.

“Hey, babe,” Ava called from the kitchen as came through the front door; Dodger barked.

“Hey, sorry.” You gave them both a quick wave as you rushed down the hallway to your room; you were running late for work due to an impromptu meeting with Professor Killian, who was concerned about your recent decline in mood. They followed you; Ava with her bowl of Lucky Charms, and stood in your doorway, watching you bounce around your room gathering your work clothes. “I’m running so late, Jack’s texted me twice already and-” you stopped and looked around, frowning, “where the hell is my apron?”

“I think it’s in the wash, but you can use mine.” She told you and walked over to her room to grab it while you got changed. “What were you doing at school anyway?” She asked as she walked back towards your room; she stood in the hallway and waited for you, whereas Dodger left for the living room. “You don’t have classes on Friday, did they change your timetable?”

“No, thank God,” you took the apron Ava was holding out and shoved it into your handbag. “I got an email from Professor Killian because he’s concerned about me. Apparently I’ve been very distracted and unproductive in his class.” You rolled your eyes and Ava pursed her lips in response because she knew your professor was right. “What a ridiculous accusation, I turned in two drafts yesterday.” You headed for the bathroom to quickly fix your hair before you left for your fine-dine restaurant job; Ava followed, quietly eating her cereal. “Have I been distracted and unproductive?”

“I don’t think you want me to answer that,” Ava said with a wince.

“Seriously?” You narrowed your eyes at her. “How have I been distracted and unproductive?”

“Babe-” Ava sighed and followed you as you headed for the front door. “Since you decided to stop talking to Chris, you haven’t been particularly focused on anything.” You stopped and turned to her with raised eyebrows. “You go through your days upset and distracted, and yes- you still do your writing and you go to work, but you’re lacking your usual perky personality and it is very noticeable. I mean- If Killian noticed, you know you’re on rough terrain.”

“God, I know,” you sighed. “I know you’re right. I just- I’m trying,” you told her and she nodded, knowing very well you were. “And I want to talk to him, I just feel like if I do- I’m going to freak him out and make him worry and- I don’t want to do that while he’s busy with work.”

“You know he’s never going to be too busy for you, right?”

“I know,” you managed a smile. “But I still don’t want to add more to his already very full plate. I know I’m being very frustrating and ignoring him is not one of my best ideas, but it’s all I have right now.” Ava reached for your elbow and gave your arm a light squeeze because she was starting to understand why you were doing what you were doing. “I’ll talk to him soon, I just need to figure out how to explain everything to him so he doesn’t worry about me after I hang up. Am I making sense?” You chuckled wearily with limited humor. “I feel like I’m just blathering.”

“Perfect sense,” she assured you, smiling. “You care about him, that’s why you’re doing all this. Props, sweetheart. Really, I’m very proud of you and the way you’re coping with everything.” She gave you a quick one arm hug and you smiled, hugging her back. “You’re going to be fine, like I told Chris- you’re a tough nut to crack. But y'know, in a positive light- not the mysterious, hard-to-deal-with meaning. Though you are a puzzle sometimes, a very complicated puzzle.”

“Yeah, I’m a fucking macadamia nut,” you joked and both laughed. “I really gotta run,” you told her and she nodded, making her way to the couch to join Dodger as your phone started ringing. The ringtone was your average, day-to-day, every-man ringtone so you picked up without looking at it; you’d no idea Chris had borrowed a phone so he could trick you into picking up his call. He didn’t want to push, but he had a terrible day and he needed to talk to you. “Hello?”

“Here I was thinking you’d let this call go to voicemail too,” Chris’ voice came through and you felt your breath hitch in your throat. “Um-” He chuckled with limited humor. You were too stunned to process the emotions wrapped in his tone; you couldn’t even tell that he’d been crying. “Hey, um- God, it’s so good to finally hear your voice. How are you, sweetheart?”

“I’m good,” you found yourself lying again. “I’m actually on my way to work, so can I call y-”

“Of course you are,” Chris muttered bitterly; his hand tugging at his hair as he tried not to swear.

“Of course I am?” You felt your eyes narrow even though you knew you deserved whatever Chris was throwing your way. “What is that suppose to mean?” You bit as Ava turned; she saw the expression on your face which meant the call you’d been avoiding had arrived. She found herself lowering her bowl and planting both feet on the ground, preparing to intervene if she needed to- if the fight became bigger than it should. Dodger was on alert too, like he could sense the storm brewing between you and his best friend.

“What is that suppose to mean?” Chris bit back with a scoff. “Are you kidding me right now, Y/N? You haven’t spoken to me in five days! Did we get into a fight, did we break up? I don’t know because we haven’t talked!” You tried to interject, but he didn’t let you. “You’ve avoided all my calls and attempts at FaceTiming you, you reply to all my texts in less than five words- like what is your problem? Did I do something to piss you off, because if I did- please, let me know.”

“Chris-” you began then sighed, “I’m sorry, but this sounds like a fight I can’t get into right now.” You heard him scoff on the other end and you wanted to kick yourself. “It’s not you, okay? I’m just-” you glanced at the clock hanging on your wall, “I need to go. I’ll call you after work and we’ll talk about this then.”

“No,” he practically growled. “We’re going to talk about this now, Y/N. I’ve given you enough time to sort out whatever the hell is going on with you, I want to resolve this now. I don’t care if you’re late for work, this is a lot more important than a shift where they can easily get someone to cover for you. What is going on? Did I do something to upset you?”

“No! God, Chris- not everything is about you.” Your heart ached at the sound of his voice, it ached for him. “I already told you, this isn’t about you.” You said, as you realized how much it was; you missed him dearly and it was affecting your entire being- mind, body, and soul. Up until you heard his voice, you didn’t realize how much your life was in shambles. Sure, school was great and work was good, but- you were alone and apart from your soulmate that you took nineteen years to find. You were not okay, you needed the next seven months to be over. “I’ve just been busy, okay? And I’m busy now, so I really need to end this phone call and call you back later.”

“Don’t you dare hang up on me,” he warned; his voice broke but you were too distraught to notice. “Y/N, we need to communicate. We may be perfect for each other, but God- we are terrible at being in a relationship.” Your eyes narrowed at that. “Couples are meant to be honest with each other. We’re meant to tell each other everything, yet here we are arguing about something that could’ve easily been avoided if we just talked.”

“I don’t even know what we’re arguing about!” You cried with a deep frown; Ava noticed your hand clench into a tight fist and she knew you were about to lost it. “You started this argument, Chris,” you accused and he scoffed. “I was just trying to get to work.” There was a long pause where neither of you said anything, then you did, “I know we need to talk, but I don’t have time to talk to you right now.”

Remember love and how it was a strange concept? How it could either be the simplest of things, or the most complicated? How a wrong move, a poorly chosen word, bad timing- how all of these factors were capable of tearing a soul into pieces? Well, the two of you were about to experience that ache and anguish.

“Make time,” he bit, trying to hold back his tears. “Have Ava cover your shift so we can talk, Y/N. I’m not asking for a lot here, I’m asking to talk to my girlfriend.” You turned your back towards Ava so she didn’t see you starting to cry, but she knew. “All I want is a second of your time, Y/N, a second of your time to just talk. Can you give me that? Can you give me that and ask me about my day? You’re not the only one who is having a hard time with all of this. I miss you too, and I need you too.”

“This is not how I imagined this conversation would go,” you mumbled under your breath instead of keeping it in your head. That was your mistake; the straw that broke the camel’s back; the prompt that brought forth words Chris didn’t mean and regretted immediately.

“Of course not,” Chris bit. “'Cause everything is just fucking perfect in your stories, isn’t it?” You felt your heart break at the harshness of his tone as well as the bitterness of his words. “Newsflash, Y/N, this is real life and I am not perfect. I am nowhere near fucking perfect,” he spat and you bit the inside of your cheek to stop yourself from having a full on breakdown.

“What is your problem, Chris?”

Chris could hear your voice shake and he knew you were crying. He knew he was hurting you and it broke his heart to think that you were crying because of him, but he couldn’t stop the foul words from spilling out of his mouth. “I can’t be the perfect guy you want me to be,” he told you and a whimper escaped your lips. “Your expectations are too high and I don’t know how to live up to them. I thought I did, but-” he swallowed, “I don’t.”

“What are you trying to say?” You breathed and Ava jumped up; she knew exactly what was happening. You waited for him to say something, but he didn’t, so you did. “You know I never asked you to be anyone you weren’t, I never expected anything from you.” Ava tried to take the phone out of your hand, but you moved out of her reach. “But clearly, I was wrong. Clearly…” You trailed off because you couldn’t breathe. “I overreached and this was a huge mistake.”

“Y/N, no! Hang up, hang up now!” Ava hissed at you, but you ignored her with a shake of your head and tears streaming down your face. Both of you were tired and stressed out, neither of you knew what you were doing- you were just doing it. “Give me the phone,” Ava urged, reaching for your phone only to have you dodge her attempts, “give me the phone now!”

“If you don’t want to be with me anymore,” you continued before Chris could process what was happening. “If this is too difficult for you, Chris…” You took a shaky breath, doing everything you could to hold yourself together. “Then let’s just quit while we’re ahead, okay?” You didn’t wait for him to confirm, you just muttered a “okay.”

He finally processed what you were saying and frowned because that wasn’t at all what he wanted, or where he’d imagined your first fight would end. “No no no,” he quickly said before you hung up on him. “No, that’s not what I want. Y/N, I made a promise-”

“It’s fine,” you whispered. “I didn’t expect you to keep your promise anyway, you’re Chris Evans after all and I’m just…me.” You couldn’t hold it together anymore and you knew it was time to hang up. “Consider that letter void,” you managed with your quivering voice. “Like you said, Chris, this is not a story- it’s real life.” You hung up before he could say anything else, slamming your phone on the dining table as your hand flew to your stomach where you felt like you’d just been stab. “Oh my God,” you covered your mouth with your other hand. “What did I just do?”

“Hey,” Ava was quick to go to your aid, placing a comforting hand on your back that you shook off because you knew you’d lose it if you accepted that comfort. “Y/N, you can’t possibly go to work.” She tried to stop you as you grabbed your bag and made your way to the front door. “No!” She ran in front of you and blocked the door, pushing you back with one hand. “You are not going anywhere, you need to process this.”

“I need to go to work,” you told her in the firmest tone you could muster. You heard Dodger bark, but you couldn’t even look his way because he reminded you too much of the guy you’d so carelessly broke up with. “I’m fine, really,” you tried and failed to assure her. “Now please move out of my way because I am really, really late. Please,” you demanded and she reluctantly did as she was told.

The second you stepped out of the house and the door closed behind you, you broke down. You staggered down the first flight of stairs, hiding on the second so Ava couldn’t see you if she came out. You buried your face in your hands and sobbed, wishing you could take back the past five days so you could do it right this time. You had the perfect guy- the man of your dreams, and what did you do? You tossed him aside like he was nothing when he was actually your north, south, east, and west. You wished Chris was wrong, you wished real life was like your stories so you could be less of a fucking idiot and not ruin everything good in your life.

Drink Up

Title: Drink Up

Pairing: Benny x Reader

Word Count: 1,385

Warnings: fluff, there’s a bit of fang kink thing going on.

A/N: I may have had this idea and so I wrote it and I was super impatient and wanted to push it to today, which is Monday where I am! So I hope you all enjoy this! Feedback is welcomed and appreciated! I love you all so much! <3 <3

There weren’t many instances where Benny came on hunts with you.  He usually didn’t get involved when you had a hunt to go on.  Yet he insisted that he go on this one with you.  You had to admit, you liked having Benny by your side.  According to Dean you and Benny were a “power couple”.

You promised Benny you would stay in the truck before he gave the all clear.  You expected Benny to be done with the vampire’s nest already.  He was great when it came to protecting you.  However, you were done waiting for Benny to come back.  You were worried that something had happened to him.

You hopped out of Benny’s truck, pulling out your machete.  You were ready to hurt anyone who would dare stop you from getting to your beloved vampire.  “Benny,” you called out.

“[Y/N],” you heard a faint voice say.

Part Two

Paralyzed (Grayson x Reader)

Song: https://youtube.com/watch?v=fwgwkZaOe1k

Requested: Nope, just an idea I’ve been having for a while.

Summary: You, Ethan and Grayson grew up together. You were very close to both of them but you were closer to Grayson causing deeper feelings to arise, it became harder and harder to control those feelings especially since he keeps coming for girl advice to you.

Word count: 1453

Warnings: Sad, all over the place.

(A/N) : I haven’t written anything in a very long time so my writing is pretty rusty, I apologies for that.

Growing up with two very sporty and energetic boys was hard at times, especially since you weren’t a very sporty person. Ethan and Grayson have always tried to get you into sports and they succeeded as you played a variety of sports with them when you guys were younger.

School was hard, people were making fun of you for hanging out with them, they often teased you saying that you were dating both of them. Mean words were thrown at you and they defended you every time. Ethan was better at keeping his cool and he was only throwing words back at the bullies, you couldn’t say the same about Grayson. He was the one getting more physical when guys were starting to really bother you and some of them touching you without consent.

You understood the reasons as to why they left but they left you alone to fend for yourself. With time, you grew immune to the insults and started defending yourself when the guys or girls were starting to get physical. You owed it to Grayson and Ethan for teaching you how to do so. Having two masculine influences growing up was starting to become an advantage.

When they decided to move to Los Angeles it was one of the most devastating moments in your life. You were so mad at them that you didn’t even help them pack and you didn’t even say goodbye.

“Gray, we have to go. We need to arrive in time at the airport to get trough security, we waited long enough. She isn’t coming.” Ethan tried to make Grayson get in the car as he was standing on the front porch of your house.

You were in your room, tears streaming down your face as you peaked from the window of your bedroom. You were afraid that the moment you hugged him, you weren’t going to be able to pull apart. Not only did they left you by yourself in school but they were going to leave you for good. Visiting during summer wasn’t enough and it wasn’t the same.

The day they left wasn’t the most devastating moment, it was a close second. The most devastating moment is happening right now.

You were in Grayson’s room, on his bed to be precise. You were staring at him as he was running his hand trough his hair in agitation. He was rambling to you about this girl he saw on Instagram. That girl was gorgeous, you couldn’t deny it. No one could. He’s been talking about her for about a week.

You tried to push the strong feelings that you had developed for Grayson but you couldn’t anymore. It was killing you inside, seeing him look at girls that he meets, a certain way. The way his eyes sparkle, the way he bites his lip eyeing the girl up and down. His face becoming flushed, he begins stuttering. You were seeing those reactions for those others girls.

With you he was his normal self, you know all of his emotions, form angry, to sad, to happy, to goofy. You have never experienced the flushed Grayson though. Now, you have, for another girl.

“Should I message her? No, that would be too weird. I mean, what do I say?” He has been rambling on and on.

“How about you text her a hey, Gray? Don’t you think that would be a good start for a conversation?” You asked him as you placed your hand on his shoulder, in order to ease his nerves.

You were very good at masking your emotions, at pretending that everything was fine.

“You’re right. I’m such an idiot for getting so worked up.” He chuckles as he wraps his arm around your waist giving your hip a little squeeze as he places a gentle peck on your cheek.

“What would I do that you, Y/N?” He asks with his big, mesmerizing smile.

You have him a weak one in return, the one you thought resembled a grimace.

That night, you had difficulty sleeping, it was becoming harder and harder to control your emotions. It’s been so long since you discovered that you were falling for him. How could you not? He’s the nicest guy you ever met, besides Ethan of course they were both very similar in that way.

Grayson could change your bad mood with just a simple smile, he had that kind of a big power on you. It was becoming too hard for you, being so close to him and not act upon your feelings.

Not seeing him that often was suppose to help and it did in a way. When you weren’t around him, you had the illusion that your feelings subsided but once you come and see him again, staying with him for three months of vacation. It’s a lot and the departure destroys you.

The night before the day you were supposed to return home in New Jersey, your feelings were all over the place, it was becoming too much for you. You couldn’t control your breathing, your mind was in a very dark place and you couldn’t escape all the bad thoughts. You had to tell him.

You, Ethan and Grayson came home after being out, you were distant the whole night.

“Okay, Y/N, you need to tell me what’s going on. I’m here, I’m always here to listen and you know that. Did the fans we saw earlier say anything bad to you? If they did you need to tell me.” Grayson pressured as he crouched in front of you as you were sitting on the edge of the bed.

You shook your head with a frown. “No, they didn’t say anything bad. They were really nice actually. It’s just…something that has been on my mind for a really long time and I don’t know how to say it. I’m scared..to say it, actually.”

Grayson’s worried expression changed to a confused one. You were scared? You’ve never been scared to tell him anything before.

“I..” You stopped as you had to take a deep breath, your heart was pounding. You squeezed your eyes shut. You had to do this, it was hurting you too much.

“I can’t come visit anymore.” You blurred out quickly. Your eyes opened wide as you stare at him, that wasn’t how you planed to tell him.

His eyebrows scrunched, his mouth was parted as he stared at you.

“Wha-what? What do you mean you can’t visit anymore? Are you guys having money troubles? Because I told you before, we’d be happy to pay for your ticket, we said that since the beginning-”

“No! Grayson, it’s not money problems. I just can’t be around you anymore.” You interrupted him, getting up as you started pacing around the room.

You couldn’t look at him, you couldn’t see his hurt expression after you said that. Grayson didn’t get were that was coming from. What did you mean by that? What did he do wrong?

“Did I do something wrong?” He asks, his voice quiet and wary.

You quickly shook your head and stopped pacing, you were facing him now, his eyes were filled with sadness.

“No, you’re doing everything right and that’s the problem.” You said, your voice beginning to shake as tears were welling up into your eyes.

“I can’t be around you anymore without wanted to hold your hand or kiss you. I can’t watch you fall for other girls. I can’t be the best friend. I’m sorry, Grayson. I tried, trust me. I really tried to bury these feelings away. Our friendship means so much to me but for a while now, all it does is hurt me.” You finally let it all out, tears were running down your cheeks. Your vision was so blurry that you could only see his figure. The lump in your throat made it hard for you to finish your sentences.

Grayson was speechless, he couldn’t believe what he was hearing. How did he not see that his best friend was hurting. How did he not see that he was the cause of your suffering. He slowly made his way towards you and wrapped his arms around you, letting you cry into his chest. He was holding your shaking body to him, holding back his own tears.

“I’m sorry.” He apologized quietly. What was he apologizing for? Was he sorry for not noticing? For not return your feelings? Or both?

The day of your flight, your said your goodbyes to both of them. You couldn’t look Grayson in the eyes, the guilt that was in them made your heart ache, your heart has suffered too much already.

(A/N) : Well that was pretty crappy, I’m sorry like I said my writing is pretty rusty. Leave some feedback, is you want and if you guys have any requests I’ll be happy to hear them out! Thank you for reading !

(Not my gif, credits to whoever made it!)

Imagine Chris being worried about you.

A/N: Part 2, yay! Not much to say here, just building things up for y'all. 😏 You can read the previous parts here - (Mini Series - Masterlist; Mini Series Spin-off - ‘Unexpected Reader - Masterlist’; ‘Chapter 2 - Little Ways Away: Part 1’) Enjoy. X

“Bet you thought I was going to answer the phone. Well, I’m not because I’m busy so-”

Chris hung up before your voicemail could finish talking, sighing because it was the seventh time he’d gotten your voicemail in three days. He was starting to get worried because he hadn’t spoken with you since Sunday, which was when he’d questioned if you were really okay and you’d lied to his face. The two of you agreed to have a proper conversation after that one, but it was yet to happen. Every time he called, you’d watch it ring and let it go to voicemail then text him back with an excuse as to why you couldn’t answer: “I’m in class.”, “I’m on my way to work.”, “I’m in the library.”, “Dodger and I are going for a walk.”, “Ava and I are on our way to a movie.”, “I have to call my mom.”, “I’m going grocery shopping.” Out of the seven times, you’d only told the truth twice about why you had to miss his call.

Now Chris didn’t know if he was really that unlucky and you were really that busy, or if you were avoiding him so you wouldn’t have to deal. You knew him, as well as he knew you, so you got what he meant when he said “I’ll call you tomorrow and have an actual conversation, okay?” The last thing you needed was a worried boyfriend- something Chris would’ve become if he’d confronted you and you’d broke down crying- so you decided it was better if you avoided him for a while. In your mind, it was a good idea because yes, he’d be worried, but he’d be less worried than if he knew the truth about your struggles. You knew he had enough on his plate with a project as big as Infinity War and that he didn’t need you to be on it too.

In your mind, you were being a thoughtful girlfriend; in Chris’, however, you weren’t. And though Ava knew how things would end if you didn’t reconsider your bad idea, she said nothing because since she spilled the beans to Chris- you’d politely asked her to stay out of your relationship. She agreed, of course, because as your best friend she’d always respect your decision- even if it was “a fucking stupid one.” That comment was unsaid because she knew you didn’t need a fight with her when a fight with Chris was obviously on its way. All of this, everything that was happening right now was the calm before the storm. Eventually Chris would get ahold of you and everything you thought you could avoid would come crashing down onto you.

“Bet you thought I was going to-”

“God dammit, Y/N,” Chris cussed as he slammed his phone onto the table; Sebastian looked up with a raised brow. “Sorry,” Chris muttered, rubbing his forehead. “I just-” he huffed, “I’m trying to get ahold of Y/N and she won’t pick up and I’m kind of freaking out. She’s clearly going through something, but she won’t talk to me about it. And I don’t- What the fuck is going through her mind?” Sebastian pursed his lips at Chris’ obvious frustration. “Does she think this is a good idea- to just avoid my calls like my worries are just going to disappear?”

“I think it’s a good idea to breathe, maybe?” Sebastian suggested and Chris took a slow, deep breath. “Okay, now that you have some oxygen in your lungs,” Sebastian teased then chuckled when Chris shot him a weary look. “Just relax, man. I’m sure everything’s fine and you’re just overreacting.”

“I am not overreacting, she-”

“That sounds like something someone who’s overreacting would say,” Sebastian cut him off with pursed lips and Chris rolled his eyes. “Oh come on, Chris,” Sebastian chuckled. “She’s a university student, what do you expect? Do you remember your university experience? 'Cause I do. Things get busy and chaotic and overwhelming, but it’s nothing that we couldn’t handle. So stop worrying so much, Y/N is a capable girl. If she’s not telling you things, maybe it’s because she can handle it.” Chris huffed and Sebastian sighed, “I know you feel like you have to protect her 'cause she’s younger than you, but maybe you’re being a little overbearing?”

Chris had nothing to say because Sebastian made some pretty solid points. Like you, he had a best friend to knock some sense into him, buff tense situations, and talk him out of some dumb decisions. Perhaps Sebastian was right, perhaps he was being a little overbearing. But he couldn’t help it, you were important to him and he knew you weren’t the kind of person who talked about things unless he pressed. That was one of the differences he’d found between you and your second person protagonist, you were more concern with how he saw you which meant you’d lie to him if you had to. He realized that the two of you really needed to discuss that before it became a bigger problem than it already was, and he knew it would because honesty and communication were two of the most important factors in a successful relationship. Clearly those were the areas the two of you lacked in considering everything that’d happened between the two of you.

“I’m sure she’ll talk to you when she’s ready,” Sebastian consoled. “Until then- I don’t think you should push her. I don’t know her as well as you, but I feel like she’s one of those girls who- y'know, the-more-you-push-the-further-she’ll-run? She seems like the type, and it’s not a bad type- it’s just tricky.” Chris sighed and nodded in agreement. “But she obviously cares about you, so don’t give up on her. After all, you don’t know what her reasons are. Maybe she doesn’t want you to worry and that’s why she’s not telling you anything.”

“I’m not going to give up on her.” Chris wasn’t sure about a lot, but he was sure about that. “She’s a puzzle, that one, but she’s one of those puzzles that when you figure it out and finish it-” he smiled when he thought about you, “it’s going to be beautiful and incredibly satisfying.” Sebastian found himself smiling at Chris’ smile; he was very happy for him friend, that was for sure. “And I know for a fact that she’s not telling me anything because she doesn’t want me to worry, that’s exactly the kind of person she is. But,” he sighed with a small smile, “that’s one of the many reason I love her. What?” Chris chuckled when he heard Sebastian chuckle.

“Nothing,” Sebastian shook his head. “I’m just- Y/N is the first girlfriend you’ve spoken so openly about.” Chris narrowed his eyes, but his smile remained on his lips because his friend was right. “You’ve never talked about any of your other girlfriends before- well, not when the relationship was still so new. But with Y/N? I mean- you keep photos of her in your trailer, you introduce us over FaceTime, you talk about her all the time and it is- This is a new side to you that we all love,” Sebastian admitted and Chris’ smile widened.

“Yeah, well-” Chris’ smile reached his eyes when he thought about the future he was planning to have with you. “She’s different.” Sebastian nodded, because obviously you were. “I know I can spend the rest of my life with her, and I want to. I really, really want to,” he admitted with a soft chuckle and Sebastian smiled. “I um- I just want her to live her life first, before she settles down with me. I don’t want her to miss out on anything, y'know?”

“That’s sweet,” Sebastian nodded. “I like her with you, I think we all do. She’s…” He trailed off, trying to find the right word then settled on what Chris used earlier, “different. But it’s the kind of different you want to welcome into your life.” Chris nodded in agreement. “I don’t know, I think you knocked it out of the park with Y/N. I haven’t met her in real life, but- I’m fairly confident about what I just said.”

“Me too,” Chris nodded with a smile.

“So try and remember what I said earlier, so you don’t do anything dumb to lose her,” Sebastian reminded him and they both chuckled. “'Cause man, Chris, you’d be a world class idiot to lose a girl as amazing as Y/N, who’s obviously perfect for you.”

“Believe me, I know,” Chris chuckled as his mind flitted back to the conversations he’d had with Ava, your mom and dad, your older brother, his mom, Scott, Carly, Shanna- literally his whole family, Kevin, Scarlett, Robert, both Chrises- basically everyone and anyone he’d spoken to about you. He didn’t need more people to tell him what he already knew; you were special and he wasn’t going to let you go. “You’re not the first person to tell me that.”

“Yet I’m sure I won’t be the last.”

“Yeah, me too,” Chris chuckled.

Issac Lahey x Female!reader
(This is the other version of the imagine I posted the other day.)
Author: T- @fandomtextimagines

Issac’s P.O.V

“Today is the day. The day I tell my best friend Y/F/N Stilinski that I like her. No, that I am in love with her.” I whisper to myself.

I asked Y/N to come to our game today to support me. But what she doesn’t know, is that I am going to show her that she means more to me than anyone else in the world.

“Lahey!” Coach’s voice rang through the locker room. “Get on the field or I sit you on the bench and give Stilinski your place!”

Stiles poked his head around the lockers beside Finstock. “Really?!”
Coach turned to him.

“What the hell, Stilinski?! Get out of here or you sit the entire match. You too, Lahey!”

I ran out of the locker room and onto the field just as we were all getting into place.

“Issac!” It was Y/N’s voice. I looked to the bleachers. Y/N was sitting with Lydia, Malia, Hayden, and – Brett.

I fought back the urge to wolf-out right then and there so I could rip out his throat out of his miserable neck.

“Hey, princess!” I called back. I could hear her heartbeat quicken as I ran to my spot on the right side of the goal.

The match started and I immediately ran for the person with the ball. It took almost no effort to knock him down, get the ball, and start running to our goal.

“Come on, Issac! You got it!” Y/N yelled from the crowd.

“Just for you, princess.” I whispered before shooting the ball into the goal, right above the goalies shoulder.

The bleachers became a sea of screaming people and Y/N was standing in the front, cheering the loudest. I felt my love for that girl swell in my chest so much I though I was going to pop! But, that love quickly got replaced with anger when I saw Brett leaning closer to her, brushing her hair behind her ear. The more she moved away from him, the more he moved closer to her.

I could feel my eyes light up and my claws push through my regular nails. “It’s almost half-time.” I said to myself “The sun, the moon, the truth. The sun, the moon, the truth.” I chanted, trying to calm myslef down.

“THAT’S HALF-TIME, BRING IT IN, BOYS!” Finstock called us to the bench.

“Okay, so the only thing that is changing is I’m taking Corey out and putting Stilinski in for the second half.

     "For real, coach?!”

“Yes, Stilinski. Unless you want to keep your ass on that bench.”

“No, thanks. Bench makes my ass cold.” I had to interrupt. I need to go talk to Y/N.

“Coach, can I go take care of something?”

      “Three minutes, Lahey. Three.”

I said a quick “thank you” and ran to Y/N. “C'mere. I need to tell you something.”

Y/N walked behind the bleachers with me. “Is everything okay, I?” I shook my head.

“No, but it will be. I love you, Y/N. I have since day one. I just never had the balls to say anything. But-but seeing Brett flirt with you, really got to me. I love you, God I love you so much it hurts, Y/N. You have no idea how much love I have for you and how much love I want to give to you. So, will you let me love you, and just be with me?”

Y/N smiled. “I’m surprised it took you so long, Issac. I love you, too.”

I leaned closer to her, my lips barely touching hers. “Lahey! Back to the field! Now!”

I groaned. “Go kick some ass, baby.” Y/N said.

I walked back to the field and Y/N sat down next to Lydia.

“Go get ‘em, babe!” Y/N yelled.

I grinned. That’s my girlfriend. And my number one fan.

Sharing a title with a rather obnoxious and self absorbed man wasn’t something to flaunt about, although you had one of the highest ranks, you couldn’t possibly let the thought slip that you shared the position. Granted, you had received the rank a good time after the man had. But, still, you had the title and he couldn’t do anything about it.

Imagine Chris realizing he’s in-love with you. (Part B)

A/N: Part 4B, yay! This is honestly taking so long, I’m so sorry. The two of them are just insufferable. 😂 (Unexpected Reader - Part 1/Part 2/Part 3A/3B/Part 4A) Enjoy! X

You decided to skip the date with Sam after seeing Chris at your doorstep. You wanted to go, but you couldn’t do it; you couldn’t pretend to be interested in another man. So you left him- looking politely pissed as he was a nice guy and it was fairly obvious you were lying- with the excuse of a family emergency. Sam, compared to the other guys you’d agreed to date before you met Chris, was amazing; he shared your interests, he cared about you, he was funny and good looking and so ridiculously nice. You would’ve been lucky to date him, and you wouldn’t have mind if you had to date him, but that shouldn’t have been how it felt.

Falling in-love shouldn’t have felt like a chore, or like you were settling. You should have felt excitement and passion, but no, you felt nothing. Sam could’ve kissed you and you would’ve felt nothing because your mind would be thinking about Chris and how his lips would feel on yours instead. You knew when you said yes to Sam that you shouldn’t have, now you’d hurt the feelings of the nicest guy in your class because you couldn’t admit the one you were in-love with was Chris.

And now you were too late.

Since you couldn’t go home in fear of running into Chris, you spent your time wandering a mall instead. You bought things you didn’t need to distract yourself because retail therapy was something you always found incredibly effective. You then went to a movie alone, ‘Gifted’ was the movie you decided to watch. Again. This time, however, you entered the theatre feeling more vulnerable than when you watched it the first time. You were lucky there weren’t many people watching a 8:50PM movie on a Thursday night, because you sobbed like a baby and it wasn’t just because of the movie.

The second you saw Chris on screen, you broke down. He was the one and you weren’t going to get the life every being dreamed of when they found their soulmate. There wasn’t going to be a cute proposal, or a wedding. There wasn’t going to be a nice house, or a picket fence, or mini versions of you and him running around. There wasn’t going to be a surprise trips to Rome. There weren’t going to be articles about the two of you being a power couple, or taking home six Oscars with the film you made together. God, you weren’t even going to get to dance with him in your backyard listening to Ed Sheeran’s ‘Perfect’, because life wasn’t perfect and you couldn’t just write a story and expect it to come true.

The movie ended around 11:00PM and you took a cab back to your apartment. In the cab, when you finally turned on your phone- you saw text messages from both Ava and Chris. Ava sent you about five because she was understandably worried and confused by your absence in the apartment. You’d left at 1:30PM for a coffee date, you should’ve been home by 4:00PM at the latest. Ava knew you; you weren’t the type to prolong anything on the first date, especially considering the one you loved wasn’t the one you were with. You sent her a quick ‘I’m okay, on my way home’ text, then replied to Chris’ one which simply asked “are you okay?” Your thumb hovered over the send button as you reread your reply “no, we need to talk.” Were you really going to tell him now? Now that he was in a relationship with someone he undoubtedly could have forever with? Are you honestly that selfish? No, you weren’t. You deleted your four words and responded with a simple one, “perfect.”

The lights were out in the apartment by the time you arrived home, which meant Ava had gone to bed. She’d received and replied to your text; she knew you were okay now, so you’d didn’t blame her for not waiting up even though you could’ve used some company. It was nearly midnight and Ava had classes in the morning, unlike you who didn’t have anything on Fridays. You passed her room on the way to yours and quietly opened her door to leave a bag from Topshop by the foot of her bed; there was a dress you saw that you needed her to have.

“Hey,” you flinched when you heard her voice speak to you in the dark. “You okay?”

“Yeah, I’m good,” you lied with a forced smile that you were glad she couldn’t see and decipher. But she knew, she could hear it in your voice. “I’m sorry I worried and woke you,” you whispered, patting her foot through her blanket. “Go back to sleep, I’ll talk to you in the morning.”

“There’s something for you in your room,” she told you before rolling over to go back to sleep.

You quietly made your way back out, closing the door behind you. Your eyes narrowed as you walked to your room, you pushed open your ajar door and saw the bouquet of roses Chris had said were Ava’s and an envelope sitting on your bed. You lowered your shopping bags onto the ground and sat down on the edge of your bed as you picked the envelope up. It felt heavy, like there was a long, long letter waiting inside for you. You could tell by the handwriting that it was from Chris, you loved the way he’d scrawl everything else but write your name with utter perfection. You stared at it for a little while, contemplating whether or not you should read it. What could it have been? He always spoke to you in person, why did he need a letter now? Was this a letter ending your friendship because he was in a relationship now and the two of you were too close for Scarlett’s liking? You’d never even met the woman before, could she have known? You were terrified to read it, because what if after reading it, Chris was no longer in your life?

“Grow some fucking balls, Y/N,” you muttered to yourself before carefully ripping the envelope. You were right about it being a long letter, it was at least four pages. You decided to get comfortable before you started reading because you had a feeling it was going to be a bit of a read. Just in case, you grabbed your tissue box and settled it on your lap.

“He wrote a story,” you mumbled to yourself as soon as you caught sight of the first sentence.

She opened the letter wondering what he could possibly have to say to her, wondering why he couldn’t just say it to her in person. She was an irrational person with thoughts beyond herself; an imagination so wild and expectations so high that it both amazed and scared him. He knew when he gave her the letter that her mind would’ve had a hundred thoughts going at full speed before she even read it. She’d think a thousand bad things, and one good, because that was the kind of person she was; she spent her life searching for greatness and striving for perfection that she didn’t believe she deserve. She’d question everything good in her life, like they were just part of a vivid dream that she would wake up from. He was one of those things she questioned, and he didn’t understand it. To him, she was part of the vivid dream he was afraid he’d wake from. To him, he was the lucky one who didn’t deserve a girl like her.

The further she read, the more she realized he was writing her a letter because he felt the same way she did. She knew now why he chose to write instead of speak, because she was the same; she used written words as a way to articulate the constellation of thoughts she couldn’t use spoken words to. She also used her writing as a shield to hide behind so no one could see her cry, or hear how fast her heart was beating. She used writing to make sure she was the only voice one heard, and that was what he needed from her now; to hear him and nothing else.

How was that, Y/N? I’m not as big of a fan as English as you are, but I think I kind of nailed it. I just needed that to capture your attention as well as give you a bit of an introduction to what this letter is going to be about. You’re a writer, an incredibly talented writer, so you should be able to read between the lines of the first two paragraphs and realize that I, too, am in-love with you.

Yes, you read correctly.

I am in-love with you. Read it, read it again. I don’t care how many times you read that line, or this whole letter- I just need you to hear me and understand me. I am in-love with you, Y/N, and I want to be with you. I’m sorry it took me this long to tell you, I just couldn’t until I figure out why I loved you. I didn’t want to start something with you based on an illusion, and I didn’t want to love you because of the series. I wanted to be sure that what I was feeling- what we were feeling was because of who we are when we’re together now, not who were are when we’re in the story. I’m sorry if that doesn’t make sense and I’m sorry if I made you feel like I didn’t want to be with you because I did, and I do. From the moment I saw you at that check in talking to that little boy, Jasper, I wanted to be with you. Then you snapped at me and- God, I knew you were the one. I’m sorry I let fear get in the way, I’m sorry I wasted so much time not being the man you needed. But no more, I’m done being just friends.

I want more, I want a life with you. I’m sorry if I’m being too straight forward, but that is what I want. I know you’re only turning twenty and you’ve got this whole life ahead of you, so I’m not asking you to marry me. Yet. I’m going to marry you, oh- you bet I’m going to marry you. But I don’t have to marry you now, I’m very capable of waiting. I’ve waited almost thirty-six years to meet you, I can wait a little while longer to marry and start a life with you. I want you to go pursue your dreams first, write a screenplay for a big production company and win an Oscar. I’m going to be there with you every step of the way, just as I hope you will be there for me as I continue on my career’s journey.

I wouldn’t normally do something this extreme and futuristic, but you’re not a normal girl. You are the kind of girl who plans her entire life to the tee, you appreciate long term commitments and you don’t do causal well. You’re amazing and I’d be an idiot to let you walk away from me, even my mom said so. You haven’t met her, but she loves you already. If you agree to being with me, you can come with me to Boston on Sunday for the week. I’d love to spend some time with you (as your boyfriend) and have you meet my family before I have to go film Infinity War. I know this is a lot to process in a short amount of time, but I have a feeling you’ve thought about this before so it shouldn’t be hard for you to come up with an answer.

Call me when you’re ready to talk?

You read the last line and nearly fell face first as scrambled to your feet, grabbing your house keys and phone from your bag. There was no way you were going to just call him, you needed to see him in person. The smile on your face since reading the line 'I, too, am in-love with you’ hadn’t faltered. Christopher Robert Evans was in-love with you. It was time to go and do what Ava advised, “just grab that man and kiss him already.”

Part 5

She knew.

She sat in front of him, holding her fingers and staring down at them with furrowed brows as if they might give her the words she needed to say.

He knew she saw the gashes this morning on his shoulder, on his side. Not the kind of thing you acquire when working as a lawyer. He should have been more careful.

She sat in the chair opposite his desk as if she were a client. As if she were trying to distance herself from him. The thought made Matt start to panic, he swallowed and shifted his feet. She wasn’t saying anything. All Matt wanted was for her to talk. He didn’t know what he wanted or needed her to say, but just something would be better than the suffocating silence they currently sat in. Anything to make him feel like he wasn’t going watch her walk out the door and never come back.

Anything to make him feel like she didn’t… hate him. For what he hid from her. For what he does. For who he is.

.

“I-” you paused. It was one word but it didn’t feel right. This whole situation didn’t feel right. You glanced up at Matt, you knew he was anxious. You could hear his shoes shifting, his throat bobbed as he tried to calm himself. His hands sat in his lap, one thumb brushing quickly over the other in nervous rhythm. You hadn’t told him why you wanted to talk with him alone in his office, but you guessed from the tension in his face that he had a pretty good idea.

.

Matt was getting dressed for work when you saw the gash on his shoulder. He faced away from you as he took off a black short sleeved tee. Obviously your eyes drifted up from your book to watch the lean muscles of his back ripple with movement. He winced as he turned to slip on a sky blue shirt, dropping his shoulder slightly put the wound in clear view, another one creeping around the side of his torso. They looked to be a week old at most. Your heart sped up, your eyes widened. Your mind was bombarded with a stream of questions. How did he even get that? Who did this to him? How was he even in a position to- what was he doing- where was he- How could he- what was he thinking he-

And then it dawned on you.

You’d seen the newspapers, the tv spots, you remember feeling a sense of familiarity staring at you in the face as you watched the footage.

You had been following the articles and even talking with Matt over breakfast about how the impact of having a vigilante in Hell’s Kitchen would have a serious effect on the crime rate, hopefully a good effect. Matt never had much to say. More than once he had changed the subject to something more lighthearted. You just let it go, thinking that it probably didn’t sit right with him that someone was taking the law and justice into their own hands…

But…

The roughness of his hands… the strength in them. The nights where you would wake up reaching for him only to see the other side of the bed empty and cold. The little bruises and cuts where he ‘walked into things’.

It was a big jump to make. Massive in fact. You backtracked for a second, you needed proof before you could even consider listening to your minds paranoid ramblings. But that didn’t stop your breathing from picking up. That didn’t stop the ‘what ifs’ from plaguing your thoughts. They piled up on top of each other so fast that you felt like you might not be able to take another breath.

Matt’s head turned as he buttoned up his shirt.

“Are you okay? You seem awfully quiet this morning.”

“Fine!” you chirped. A little too quick to be genuine. Too quick for Matt to ignore. Matt paused in reaching for his tie.

“You sure?”

“Absolutely. Just excited to start the day!” You flung the sheets off of you exposing your bare legs. Wearing only a large grey tee you jumped out of bed and swung around to throw your arms over his shoulders, narrowly avoiding the wound.

Running your fingers through the tiny hairs at the nape of his neck, he slid his hands up under your tee, lifting it high enough for you to feel a light breeze on your backside. He wrapped his hands around either side of your waist and began running his thumbs up and down the small of your back. “I’m excited for every day that I get to start with you.”

Whatever tension there was in Matt’s frame dissipated. He smiled wide, leaning his head slightly to the side. “You’re full of cheese.”

You shrugged. “What can I say? It’s a talent. Maybe I should start classes. Could save up some money and get myself a plaque. ‘Y/N, Master of Cheesery’”

Matt snorted and slid his arms all the way around you, pulling you as close as he could. You had to rise to your tiptoes to fold your arms behind his neck, leaning your cheek against his. Your bodies molded together and he hummed once in content as he swayed the two of you from side to side. Dancing to no music. “I wish I didn’t have to go in today. Foggy needs me to go over this case one more time before tomorrow. I can think of a few things we could do right here that would be much more fun.” He sighed out his nose. You held on a little tighter, you didn’t know if you wanted to uncork this bottle. But you knew that you needed to.

“I’m gonna drop by at lunchtime.”

Matt nodded and turned to kiss your cheek twice. He pulled away reluctantly and let your arms drop to your side. Picking up his jacket from the bed he made his way through the living room and towards the front door. You trailed behind him, gripping your fingers tight behind you. Matt opened the door and turned around to you leaning against the doorframe. “We can talk about some stuff.” he raised his eyebrows.

“Stuff?”

“You focus on your case for now. I don’t want to distract you. We’ll talk when I come in.” You leaned in and pressed a kiss to his lips. He left with a small frown on his face.

.

It had taken a lot of digging. A lot of thinking like someone who wanted to desperately hide something. Finally you found your proof, tucked away in his father’s box. The mask that he wore to his nightly endeavours. The Devil of Hell’s Kitchen’s mask.

After giving yourself some time to cry, to scream, to punish yourself for not seeing it sooner, you got up, got dressed, put the red mask in your bag and left the apartment to meet Matt. To have a conversation you weren’t sure you were prepared for.

.

And here you are. Sitting in his office trying to find the right words to begin with. None of them seemed to suffice. This was Matt, why couldn’t you just talk to him?

You stood up suddenly and turned towards the door to close the blackout blind that hung from it. Then you walked behind Matt to close the blinds on the windows. It left the room dark so you switched on his desk lamp and instead of sitting down on the chair you perched on his desk next to where he sat so you were facing the wall to his back. Instead of looking at him, you stared unseeingly at the strings on the blinds.

You took a deep breath. You reached into your bag and held the mask just behind him.

“Matt, I know about your night job.” You said firmly and put the mask on the desk in front of him. He reached out and ran his fingertips over one of the pointed tips for a mere second before pulling his hands back to his lap.

He remained silent.

“I’m not mad. I just- I’m.. worried.” your breath hitched, “I’m scared, Matt.” your bottom lip trembled making you reach up with both hands to cover your face.

Matt’s hands stopped twitching and instead gripped tight, his shoulders tensed and his face screamed how much he didn’t want to have this discussion.

“You don’t need to be scared of me.” He muttered in a low but steady voice. Dropping your hands and swinging your head round to him, you scooched up along his desk to sit in front of him, your legs hanging down either side of his. You brought your hands to his cheeks. Cradling the hurt you saw on his face. The disappointment, not at you but in himself. You could feel the muscles in his jaw tense.

“Matty-” your voice caught, and Matt almost flinched at the noise. Clearing your throat you tried again. “Matty, I’m not scared of you. I’m scared for you.” Matt’s eyebrows twitched together, so you slid your hand down to just above his shoulder, where you both knew the tightly stitched wound sat. “This, is a big deal. Did you think I would be okay with you coming home with giant cuts on your body? God forbid I wake up in the morning to see you bleeding out on the couch-” you bit your lip and looked away, trying to pull yourself together. You needed to be a little bit stronger, just enough to deal with this.

Matt tentatively put his hand on your knee.

“Y/N, I’ve trained for this. I was trained from a young age to fight like this and it’s something I’ve known how to do for a long time. I’m not just some billionaire thinking he can make a suit, fight crime and take on the world all in the same day. I’m going to do better. I’m making this city a safe place. My city. Ours.” He took your hands in both of his and rested them on your knees.

He licked his lips and shifted in his chair, you could see he wanted you to believe him, to trust him, to.. accept him. “I’m sorry I kept this from you. Part of me is saying I should let you go to protect you from this, from the people who might want to use you against me if they found out what you mean to me. I couldn’t-” he swallowed, “I won’t let that happen. I can’t lose you. You’re the reason I can do this and still smile everyday, not hate myself for keeping this a secret from almost everyone I know. I love you.” he paused, gripping your hands slightly tighter for a second before leaning back in his chair a little. “But I understand if you can’t cope with this. You don’t have to say anything if you don’t want to, you can walk out that door and I won’t stop you.”

You were quiet. You just looked at his face and all it’s features as your hands warmed between his. You could see how much he didn’t want you to leave, but you knew that he would let you go if you wanted to. You knew he was genuinely sorry, but he had reason to keep it all from you. He was trying to do the right thing. Not just for him or you but for the whole city.

Make a decision. A little voice in the back of your mind prompted you. And you did.

You slid off the desk and into his lap, he pulled your joined hands up to give you room, but didn’t let go. Not quite ready to release you just yet. His face remained set. You smiled at him, just a small slightly wobbly curve of your lips.

“I love you too, Matt. But-” you could see his brows wobble a touch. You squeezed his hands before releasing them then took off his glasses and put them behind you on the desk. You wanted to see his eyes. You slid your hands back over his, threading your fingers together.

“I’m not leaving you.” You had to reassure him first. His shoulders dropped the heavy weight on them and he leaned his forehead against yours. His breath hitched slightly as he tried not to cry in relief. You almost burst into tears at the sound, instead a few dripped down your cheeks and hit your joined hands.

“You need to tell me everything. And I mean every little minute detail that occurs, I don’t want the highlights.” He nodded lightly. “and you’re gonna teach me how to fight.” His head shot up. “You’re not coming with me. It’s too dangerous.”

You snorted. “of course not, but if you’re worried about me being a target then I need to learn how to defend myself. I need to show these guys that my badass boyfriend isn’t the only one who can handle himself. The Master of Cheesery can pack a punch too.” You held up an arm to flex your muscles and pulled a strained face.

Matt grinned as he brushed away the fallen tears and pinched your flexing ‘muscles’, “That means you’re gonna have to actually get out of bed in the morning and you know, exercise.”

Your pursed your lips and rolled your eyes. “The things I do for you, Matt.”

He swallowed. “I know. Thank you.” He leaned in to kiss you, but you pulled back and put a finger on his lips. “Uh-uh. You’ve got some serious ass-kissing to do Matt-Matt.”

“What?” came his muffled reply, his lips squished behind your finger.

“You’ve been keeping something from me for God knows how long. You’re gonna have to make it up to me, your loyal and forgiving girlfriend. Starting with dinner and later listening to Stephen Fry read Sherlock Holmes on audiobook. With blankets. And malteasers. And kitkats.” Matt kissed your finger twice in quick succession.

“Anything.” He said sincerely. He would do anything for you. You smiled as you replaced your finger with your lips, brushing them over his in a soft kiss.

Title: Dark Memories of Day Past

Pairing: Dean x Reader

Word count: 1.925

Warnings: talk of sexual assault, hurt/comfort, cursing

A/N: I have debated about posting this for a long time. I figured that maybe… it might help someone. Feedback is welcomed and appreciated as always. I love you so much.

Dean watched your body hit the wall next to him.  You and Dean were here to get rid of  a shapeshifter, only to be interrupted by a demon. The shapeshifter got away and the demon tossed you around like a rag doll.  Dean could see how hurt you were.  It tore him up inside.  He was going to kick this demon’s ass.

As soon as Dean climbed to his feet, the demon exited the human it was possessing.  “Oh come on,” Dean shouted.  “You coward son of a bitch!”  As the black smoke disappeared out of the window, Dean’s eyes darted over to your body.  You were still lying on the floor.  You were lying face down, almost in the fetal position.  Dean saw the blood and bruises that covered your face.  He winced, unsure if he should move you at all.  He didn’t want to cause you any pain.  There was no way Dean was going to leave you here.

The Winchester picked you up off of the floor, leaning you against the wall you hit not too long ago.  You were limp in his hands.  He made sure to check your pulse.  You were still breathing, but just barely.  You had cuts and bruises all over you.
