Shy anon here! Do you think Keith has experience flirting? *Cough Lance* I'm a Klance shipper too, but to shy to talk to you :3

Do I think that Keith has experience flirting?

No. I really don’t. The Voltron twitter stated that the thing he dislikes the most is “tomfoolery” and I am 99% sure that in his definition flirting is a part of that. It also doesn’t really fit his character - he is way too honest and open about everything. And he gets embarrassed easily (we all know that he usually has no problems with doing dumb stuff with the team but once it crosses a certain line, he just refuses. that’s what happened in the bad sound effects/laser guns scene hah). Even just the thought of flirting with someone probably makes him embarrassed.

That being said… he can’t be embarrassed if he isn’t aware that he’s flirting ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

Things you might not know about the production of Sense8

As found in the behind-the-scenes documentary, Sense8: Creating the World

  • All of the scenes were shot in the countries they were shown to be in. So they really did shoot in Mumbai and Seoul and Berlin etc.
  • They hired local actors and crews for each of the countries, which helped increase the realism of the scenes.
  • Between main, side, and minor characters, there were around 180 speaking roles.
  • When the cast visited each country they wouldn’t break between them. They’d be in one country shooting one day, and then shooting in another in the next.
  • The scene with Riley and Capheus, and also with Will on the plane to Iceland was literally shot on a plane to Iceland.
  • The cast described traveling around the world together for 4 months as something that created a family bond between them. They all grew very close and considered the feeling of the few times where they could all be together as ‘electric’.
  • They described being in the different cities as having different vibes and feelings that could only be experienced by really being there, which added a lot to their portrayals and helped them a lot with understanding their characters.
  • There were scenes that were shot two, three, or even four times due to having to do certain parts in different countries. This often meant that scenes could be changed a little as they had chances to watch over previous takes and see if they could improve it in some way in the new city.
  • The show really shot in the middle of the Gay Pride parade, and the scene where Nomi fell off of the motorbike was in the midst of the ‘Dyke’s on Bikes’ part of the parade.
  • They also had real wide-shots from the Mumbai Ganesh festival, however it would have been impossible to shoot the acting parts because of the vast amount of people that attend.
  • When shooting scenes where the sensates ‘share’, they don’t shoot one character doing the scene, shoot the other, and then put them together through editing. Clever camera shots where the camera pans away for a few seconds meant they would often literally switch places by one doing things like ducking and rolling away on the ground whilst the other jumped in their place.
  • Aml Ameen said that when he played Capheus driving the van, 90% of it was actually him. He got to drive around Nairobi, and was actually pulled over by the police at one point and the crew had to explain what was going on.
  • In Riley’s opening scene that establishes her as a DJ, she was playing to a real audience. She came on between two other real and well known DJ’s, and the audience wasn’t aware that she wasn’t a real DJ.
  • The very first scene Miguel shot as Lito was the sex scene in ‘Demons’.
  • The wrestling match that Lito, Hernando, and Daniela attended was a real match, with a real crowd and fighters.
  • Kala and Rajan’s dance scene was repeatedly shot all in one take rather than in short parts unlike traditional Bollywood movie dance scenes.
  • Brian sustained multiple injuries during the course of the show through Will’s action sequences including hurting his shoulder and his triceps, including an internal bleeding bruise.
  • Doona Bae was extremely excited about the cast coming to Seoul as that is where she lives, and so she gave them all tours around the city.
  • Similarly, Max Riemelt cooked dinner for his cast mates and showed them around Berlin.
  • Jamie Clayton said that her favorite scene in San Francisco was when Nomi was escaping by bike and decided to try and steal a car to get away before realizing she couldn’t drive, mentioning that she herself doesn’t know how to drive either.

And plenty more. It’s on Netflix. so you guys should definitely watch it if you haven’t already!

Random thing I just thought of

If this really is a song about the developing romance of bumbleby (which it does seem to be), it reminds me a lot of Boop. We got Boop in the volume 2 soundtrack but it didn’t really fit into that volume. It was just kind of there but we didn’t understand it because we didn’t get Ren and Nora’s big moments until volume 4 when that same song was played in a slow, acoustic version multiple times. So imagine “bmblb” coming up again during big Bees moments in later volumes, but in various versions to fit the tones of the scenes.

Hmmm so the makeup scene was good? Cause I know some antis are upset that it seemed one sided with only Jughead apologizing? But IDK haven't seen it yet. Thoughts?

Were they watching the same scene I was watching!? Betty might not have said the words, “I’m sorry” but the way she phrased the entire conversation showed that she was remorseful for the way things ended up. They were both so honest and it showed so much vulnerability on both sides that at that point, those words weren’t even needed. The making up part happened by both Betty and Jughead sharing things about themselves that they were too afraid to admit out loud, even after hearing Alice’s advice to avoid telling Jughead the truth about certain things. That’s what I loved about that scene. And that’s why I love this couple.

So I think what we need now is some art of a very flustered Marinette running into Chat's very wet, very muscly, very naked back~? ; )

You make my sfw fanfiction sound like sin. XD

And that kids is why you DON’T run around corners really fast no matter how much of a hurry you are to pick up your portfolio that you left on accident.

This was one of the first things I thought of before I wrote Stray Chat. You don’t know how long I had to wait before I could write that scene. XD

Various Caskett- These are just some of my favorite scenes

i haven't seen this done yet so how about a blurb where one of the guys (you can pick) is cast as your love interest for a music video :)) -puckerupmikey

You had what seemed like a million people yelling at you as you were rushed to another set for your music video, the jam-packed day resulting in an extremely strict time schedule that didn’t allow for you to even formulate a thought.

“Alright, Y/N, so in this scene, just stare at Luke like you’re in love whatever, and when I scream ‘NOW,’ you just lean in and kiss him,” the director instructed as his hand stayed on the small of your back while guiding you to your spot.

“What? Luke?” you blurted out before you were placed in front of Luke Hemmings, your heart nearly stopping as your jaw dropped in disbelief. “No offense or anything, but why are you here?”

“Our managers thought it would be good publicity,” he nervously laughed in response before fixing his hair. “Love your new album, by the way.”

“Thanks-”

“Alright, and we’re rolling!” the director cut you off as you forced a smile on your face and slung your arms around his neck. Luke’s baby blues watched your every movement as you mouthed the words to your song along with the music, trying your best to distract yourself from how perfect his broad shoulders looked in the black jacket that he was wearing and- “NOW!”

You stood on the balls of your feet so your lips could meet his, Luke instantly deepening the kiss and taking you by surprise as he pulled you flush against his chest. Something warm rose in your chest as you kissed him back with just as much passion, wishfully hoping that he wasn’t acting anymore either.

“And cut!” your director yelled as you pulled away from Luke, something indescribable swimming around in the crystal-blue of his eyes as he ran his tongue over his lips. “Are you two secretly in love or are you both just triple threats as actors on top of your music?”

A shade of red inevitably rose to your cheeks as you looked back up at Luke to find his lip ring tugged between his teeth before he gave you a small smile. “You don’t really have to act when you’re around Y/N.”

  • Interviewer: You're about to shoot the final episode. Having just shot the second-to-last episode, are things even more tense than what audiences think so far?
  • Elizabeth: Yeah, it's crazy. I mean, we haven't read the last script yet, and it's one of those 'I'm kind of scared to read it' because every single episode that is about to air is just huge. Everything that you thought was an absolute is kind of broken down, and honestly I don't even know if the team is gonna be together at the end of the season. They had this whole season mapped out beautifully. I mean, a part in the next, in the finale, is based on a scene that Iain and I auditioned with, like, over a year ago.
  • Me: THIS IS GOING TO BE SO BAD.
Watching Luke Cage last night, unspoiled:
  • Me: They're giving this guy a boatload of audience-sympathetic dialogue. They really want us to like him or trust him a whoooole bunch all of the sudden. They're pushing him as a "good guy" way too hard. Something screwy is gonna happen.
  • Husband: Yeah? This episode?
  • Me: Yeah. Probably. This or the next. Probably this one. He's either gonna die or he's a bad guy. Definitely one or the other. They're pushing it way too hard.
  • Husband: Or he's just a good detective who's close with his partner. *smirks*
  • Me: A'scuse you what now? 😒
  • Husband: 😂
  • Me: Oh he's with the kid. Is the kid gonna kill the Guy? No. Kid's talking redemption. Kid just stepped to where he can't see the Guy in his peripheral vision. OMG he's a bad Guy and he's gonna kill the Kid, watch.
  • Husband: With what?
  • Me: I don't know. He patted and talked about his sidearm earlier when he was talking to his partner, maybe he's gonna shoo—oh wait he's messing with his tie—
  • Guy I'm talking about: *strangles kid to death with necktie*
  • Me: Damnnnnn.
  • Husband: Damn. Much cleaner.
  • Me: Yeah, he's totally working for the bad guy. And this episode has at least one more effed up thing coming too.
  • Husband: How do you know?
  • Me: *pauses to double check* Still got ten minutes left.
  • Husband: 😳 Oh crap, yeah.
  • Me: Sorry, want me to shut up?
  • Husband: Nah, I know who I married.
  • Next scene: *Detective Guy goes and spills all kindsa stuff to Cottonmouth*
  • Me: Should've seen this coming earlier OF COURSE he's got a cop on his payroll OF COURSE it's whatsherface's partner I should've thought of that before now, dang I feel dumb.
  • Husband: Breathe.
  • Next scene: *Luke gives barbershop chess playing guy a huge bag o' money*
  • Husband: Oh, THAT'S why they brought up the accountant thing earlier. He does the books.
  • Me: What have I done to you?
  • Next scene: *one more effed up thing happens*
  • Me: Toldja.
  • Husband: Feel better now?
  • Me: Yep! Still should've called it earlier on the crooked cop though, ugh.
  • Husband: You'll get 'em next time.
  • Me: Don't make fun of me.
  • Husband: 😂

I saw tfa yesterday and i'm so overwhelmed it was so good!!! and REY!!! i basically cried because i loved her so much. but i just wanted ask if you have any thoughts on those reviews saying she's a mary sue and that she's too perfect and a Strong Female Character but not strongly written etc... do you agree? because i was so blown away by the fact that the main character is a female jedi and either way she's super important but i haven't dwelled much on it yet because i loved the film so much

I will literally fight anyone who calls Rey a Mary Sue. I will FIGHT YOU.

Rey is such a well rounded and interesting character and anyone that says otherwise isn’t actually paying enough attention. The only scene that we get where she’s “strong,” in my opinion, is when she fights those scavengers in the beginning who are trying to steal BB8. In every other way, she is capable. She’s able to fly a ship but she doesn’t brag about it; she knows plenty about the Falcon but she doesn’t brag about it; she keeps saving Finn but does not brag about it. She’s humble and efficient and she doesn’t look to anyone for acknowledgement or recognition. She wants Han’s approval as a father figure, but she doesn’t need it - “I think I can handle myself.” Finn tries to flirt with her and she says it’s his none of his business. That’s my favorite part about Rey, she says that she can take care of herself and she actually can. BUT it’s not like she’s some kind of bastion of all power - when she’s in a mismatched fight, she loses. Throughout the movie, she’s constantly being overpowered (often in really creepy and violating ways) by Kylo and even when she’s realized that she’s force sensitive, most of their fight at the end consists of her running away. The only reason she’s able to win eventually is because she takes that moment to center herself and use the force, something that Kylo would never do because he’s undisciplined and rash (perhaps it’s because while Kylo has too much Vader in him, Rey has too much of her father???? Only time will tell).

A Mary Sue would have been angry with Finn for lying to her, instead of forgiving him instantly and prioritizing his safety over her feelings. A Mary Sue would have talked endlessly about how her family abandoned her, instead of briefly mentioning that they’ll be coming back for her before moving on. Her faults aren’t entirely clear yet because we haven’t spent much time with her and she really hasn’t been tested at all, but to me she’s too hopeful and too stubborn. Rey runs away from the responsibility of the force, just like Luke once did. She protects the rebellion and BB8 even though she has nothing to do with it, just like Luke once did. She’s self sufficient and morally honest and a naturally good fighter. She’s basically Luke, just without all the whining, and you never fucking heard someone call him a Mary Sue.

What are your thoughts about bdsm? I'm a woman and a masochist, I throughly enjoy getting spanked by women and men. I love your blog and haven't seen this topic brought up yet.

I think we should be extremely critical of anything that eroticizes power imbalances. These things do not come from thin air, they reflect a society that’s deeply, painfully unequal, and eroticizing women in a submissive role contributes to the solidifying of the gender hierarchy. And before someone mentions female doms, male subs get off on the inversion of traditional gender roles because they know that outside of the scene they still retain social power over women. BDSM is not subersive or transgressive.

Not to mention the whole myth that it’s “safe, sane and consensual” creates a perfect playground for rapists and abusers, since of course they CAN’T be abusers, right? BDSM is so safe. And victims are dismissed and silenced. We’ve seen this happening time after time.

And I could go on and on with examples. Fetishization of racism, rape and pedophilia, promotion of dangerous and even potentially lethal practices like choking, a safe ground for misogynistic men who get off on beating women up, etc etc etc. My opinion on it is pretty much the standard gender abolitionist opinion: BDSM as a phenomena reinforces patriarchal values, is dangerous to women and does not contribute to women’s liberation.

I miss hearing your thoughts. What are you thinking of babygate? Is it Syco holding onto it and dragging it out? What do you see is even the point of bg at this time?

Hey lovely! Basically, I don’t think there’s a proper plan for babygate, but I think they need to fix that asap or else things are going to get messier than they are already. I do think Syco is dragging it out, but I think they’ve done a terrible job planning the whole thing and really don’t know how to fix it at this point. I think the boy are generally okay with it though…when they don’t have to participate…and when it was actually helping to raise Louis’ profile. Now it’s all just bullshit, and I think everyone is tired of it.

The point? Honestly at this point it’s gotta be spite. It’s not doing any good, and it’s pissing off fans. It’s just absurd and it needs to stop. They’re probably going to kill it for promo at some point though, because I can’t fathom it actually going to….the non-birth… like I said to IG today, “Look! I’m pregnant! My bump is just as big as Briana’s!” (My stomach is….fairly flat for my size. My bump looked like I’d eaten a piece of pie yesterday. Which I did. And probably more pie throughout my life.) . They really can’t drag it out that far. So hopefully they kill it in a round of promo. That’s the best case scenario, because then they get a last bump of publicity, and that’s the end. Based on the fact they’ve dragged Briana up to some concerts, I don’t think it’s going to just fade away into the void.

I don’t think it was ever a well-planned stunt, but I do suspect that when it started there wasn’t much bad blood between the boys and Simon, but I think that now there is, and that’s put yet another wrench into it. I honestly don’t know if the people behind the scenes even know what’s going on.
