but i did pretty well on the music

anonymous asked:

harry only sold 70k more than zayn who did 0 promo vs harry's entire grand promo campaign with the entirety of columbia's heavyweights pushing his career. so i don't see where the grand evil success lies. he actually underperformed initial projections from columbia which are set extremely low on purpose to make the actual expected sales look better. the fandom drama and het stunt bullshit hurt his sales so much.

i think he still did really, really well. he debuted at #1 in both the us and uk, which is pretty huge. not to mention how his lls skits and music video have exploded. even if it wasn’t as massive as people anticipated, he’s still been very successful.

So in less than 2 months as a solo artist Harry has released a single that debuted at #1 and #4 in the UK and US respectively, performed on Saturday Night Live to positive reviews, was profiled for the cover of Rolling Stone magazine, sold out his first world tour in less than 30 seconds, made guest appearances on Graham Norton and the Today Show, released a music video that now has over 23 million views, did a four night residency on The Late Late Show which produced a Carpool Karoake segment that’s gone viral (it’s still trending #16 after 3 days), has released an album to critical acclaim that is now #1 in both the UK and US and broke a Nielsen record in the process, racked up more than 272 million streams on Spotify and Youtube, and has performed a concert at the Troubadour. With. Stevie. Nicks.

Seems like things are going pretty well?

everyone’s out here uploading their fan art for ethan @crankgameplays and pictures with him and i wanted to do something to show him how much he matters to me… so i wrote him a song.

i did my best to make it NOT creepy and i think i did pretty darn well! although to be fair, I am studying songwriting in university and I AM technically a professional musician.

ethan, i really really hope you see this and i hope you know how important you are to ME and to countless other people.

blue haired boy, i adore you <3

Inside the super-sized Glee reunion on The Flash-Supergirl musical crossover

Darren Criss is singing his heart out. Grant Gustin and Melissa Benoist are tap dancing. “It’s literally a Glee episode,” Gustin jokes. No, the Fox series hasn’t been revived. The trio are actually reuniting for the first time since their days on the Emmy-nominated hit series for a different kind of musical — and Criss may finally get his revenge.

His Glee character, Blaine Anderson, received a slushy facial from Gustin’s Sebastian Smythe back in 2012, but now the tables have turned, with Criss assuming the mantle of the dastardly DC Comics villain Music Meister in the highly anticipated Flash/Supergirl musical crossover. “It is funny that the last time I worked with Grant, he was the bad guy and he was singing at me, and now I’m the bad guy singing at him,” Criss says. Though it’s a different set, with the quick turnaround and prep, Criss concurs that this all feels familiar. “It’s just Glee,” he says.

In the March 21 episode of The Flash, Barry (Gustin) and Kara (Benoist) find themselves trapped in a movie musical of the Meister’s creation — an hour that has been years in the making. “We’ve always talked about doing it, from the very beginning, more in a joking way,” says executive producer Andrew Kreisberg. Gustin, however, was initially curious. “I didn’t ever think it would be a real thing, so when they told me it was real, I was like, ‘How?!‘”

Here’s how: As the Scarlet Speedster and Girl of Steel experience turmoil in their interpersonal relationships, they’re whammied by the Music Meister, a less mustache-twirling, more manipulative villain who causes victims to break into song. The character was famously voiced by Neil Patrick Harris in the Batman: The Brave and the Bold animated series. “I have made a pretty decent career of only taking over roles as made famous by child stars,” jokes Criss, who also played the titular wizard in the Harry Potter musical.

“I could not be happier that he’s here,” gushes Benoist, whose Glee character Marley Rose was mentored by Blaine. “He’s killing this role. He’s bringing such a fun energy, the way he did on Glee as well.”

Being fans of movie musicals as kids, the power-stripped heroes end up trapped in a golden-age send-up involving rival gangs and their kids falling in love — though expect many of the couples to come with a twist. The only way out? Follow the Meister’s script till the end. It may be a prison to them, but it’s heaven to Benoist. Noting she was born in the wrong era, the actress takes delight in the vintage ambience while sitting on a ’40s-era nightclub set. “Not that I don’t love the [Supergirl] suit, but it just feels good playing the same character in a completely different setting,” she says. “I’m eating this up.”

The Glee alums aren’t the only big names attached to the special episode. In a nod to Kara’s favorite film Wizard of Oz, everyone else in the vocally impressive cast is playing a character within this movie, from Jesse L. Martin, Victor Garber, and John Barrowman as rival mob bosses to Jeremy Jordan’s club pianist and Carlos Valdes’ aspiring artist busboy. Cherry-picking the movie musical genre — West Side Story, Singing in the Rain, and Guys and Dolls among the show’s inspirations — the hour also features some original songs, including “Runnin’ Home to You” from Oscar-winning La La Land duo Benj Pasek and Justin Paul, as well as the bubbly and playful Rachel Bloom co-penned tap duet “Super Friend.” “It’s a goofy song and it’s very consistent with that style of Crazy Ex-Girlfriend,” Gustin says.

“We were approached by Rachel Bloom, who reached out to us and she really wanted to write a song for us,” Kreisberg explains. “And Greg [Berlanti] had a relationship with Pasek and Paul, so we sat down with them — we hadn’t even seen La La Land with them, but Greg had been such huge fans of theirs.”

The episode also includes several covers, among them the Benoist solo “Moon River,” and an ensemble performance of Jackie DeShannon’s “Put a Little Love in Your Heart” that brings the denizens of the ’40s nightclub to their feet as the Meister conducts Jordan, Valdes, and John Barrowman in an epic, upbeat dance number choreographed by Glee’s Zachary Woodlee. “Some things are just star-crossed,” Valdes says of his two worlds — superheroes and musicals — colliding. “Some things are just destined and written in the stars. This felt like one of those instances where it was just something that was going to happen.”

Jordan concurs: “Ever since they announced the cast of our show — plus the casts of Flash and other shows having so many musical theater people in them — it was only a matter of time before they harnessed those talents and made something into it.”

All involved have unquestionable talents when it comes to singing, but Barrowman says the DeShannon piece doesn’t play to his strengths: “I’m exceptionally confident vocally, but they show me the dance steps and I’m not a hip-hopper, no way,” says Barrowman, who practices his moves on set between takes. “I panicked.” Still, Barrowman was determined to be involved once he learned of the crossover. “I hadn’t heard anything and I just basically then said, ‘I think you would be daft or stupid not to have me in this, really,‘” he says. “But they planned on it all along.”

On the flip side, Gustin says he was excited about slipping back into his dance shoes. “More than anything else, my true foundation was tap dance,” the actor says. “It’s been cool to get back to it.” Adds Benoist: “It’s funny how things stay in your muscle memory. It was fun to pick it back up again and see your body and be like, ‘Oh, we remember how to do this.'”

With everyone in one room, Barrowman admits, “I’m a bit fan-boying out to be honest,” explaining that he watched his castmates’ former projects Glee and Smash. “What a nerd,” Jordan responds upon hearing the news. “He plays it super cool backstage, so you wouldn’t know he was geeking out.”

Beyond Glee, the hour marks an even bigger reunion as Gustin and Supergirl‘s Chris Wood — who, along with co-star David Harewood, will guest in the crossover, but not sing — went to school together, while Criss counts Valdes, Pasek, and Paul as classmates. “It’s been a very sentimental crossover on so many levels,” Criss says. “Every day, every scene my mind is being blown. I can’t believe I’m here with Melissa Benoist and Carlos Valdes. ‘How do you guys even know each other? Oh, that’s right, you’re both superheroes!'”

Fun fact: Another classmate of theirs, Andy Mientus, also previously played a villain on The Flash, with Criss joking it’s about damn time he appeared in the Berlanti-verse. “I was wondering why everybody else I knew had been on the show but me,” Criss says with a laugh. In truth, Kreisberg says Criss was destined to play this role. “Darren so brings him to life,” the EP says. “I’m not sure who we would have gotten to do it if Darren had said no, but it turned out to be one of those things where we wanted Darren and Darren actually wanted the part. It was very kismet.”

Should the crossover prove successful, Kreisberg even has hopes for a sequel, and Criss would be elated to return to the wild, wild world of singing superheroes. “I would have liked to have written some songs,” quips the actor and musician, who landed the role too late in the process to do so. “I want to come back, I’m not done — then I’ll have my true payback!” Watch out, Flash!

The musical crossover will kick off at the end of Supergirl‘s March 20 hour, with the majority of the action taking place during The Flash‘s March 21 episode, both airing at 8 p.m. ET on The CW.

Chat Noir loves musicals.

It really shouldn’t surprise me. Cats exists, of course he loves musicals. After he found out I’m into musicals, it’s all he talks about when we’re on patrol. But I can’t even remember how we got on the subject. I think I was humming a few bars of ‘76 Trombones’ from The Music Man one day and he recognized it instantly. He started talking about various musicals he’d seen, either live or recorded, musicals he wanted to see (Hamilton and The Lion King topped the list), and his favorite songs from each. Which leads me to my second discovery.

Chat Noir has a beautiful voice.

They look at me and see a pretty face, but I no longer see value in that. Acknowledgement of it, even with the best intentions, just makes me feel lonely somehow. A smile of gratitude that quickly fades, while places tucked away and unseen ache and resonate through me, like vibrations of music no one can hear. He saw beyond my skin and curves, far past the errant hairs gently brushing across my shoulders. While everyone else stared at me, he gazed into me. My laugh was his pornography, his quest was my heart, and capture it he did. If only…Others mean well, but they don’t see. They miss so much. They rush to love someone that is not me, only a false idol made up of their own desires and insecurities. The more people look at the surface, the more I retreat into myself, into quiet places, making paths where there were none before. I used to leave stones behind to find my way back or perhaps to be found, but not anymore. I fear I may be lost within another world, and these words I send out into cyberspace are my only remaining connection.

My New Audio Sigil Method

A little while ago I tried my hand at making an audio sigil. I like how it turned out, but it was a bit too complex. The range of tones was just too great. It was great to make a track and just listen to it, but I wanted something that I could easily play on the piano, hum, or whistle. So, I rethought how I chose the tones that represented the letters of the alphabet. I decided to use just one octave of notes, no sharps or flats, just the 8 notes starting on C. After I dropped the vowels, the letters fit perfectly. Here’s what I came up with.

Note = Letter of alphabet

  • C = B, K, S
  • D = C, L, T
  • E = D, M, V
  • F = F, N, W
  • G = G, P, X
  • A = H, Q, Y
  • B = J, R, Z

Getting from a statement of intent to musical notes looks like this. “I sleep peacefully” get rid of vowels and repeated consonants “SLPCFY” translate into musical notes “CDGDFA.”  Now my audio sigil is quite simple and easily played/sung/hummed/whistled/etc.

Here, let me play it for you.

I am very happy with how this method turned out. It will be pretty easy to whip up a sigil in the morning for that day and whistle it as I go about my business.

RFA + V & Saeran with as childhood friends with MC who grow up together then puberty hits and it gets messy as they slowly realize their feelings (highschool!AU; I enjoy going thru your blog btw!)

i am so glad you like my blog! it’s still a little messy, but it’s getting there! ヽ(・∀・)ノ this is such an awesome request! i wrote this based off of the characters’ canon childhoods rather than what the characters would be like if the RFA was a high school organization, if that makes sense. i just felt like the canon childhoods would flow better with a childhood friend sort of thing. these headcanons turned out a lot longer than i had originally planned, so i hope that’s no problem…  ( ̄▽ ̄*)ゞ enjoy!

yoosung

  • yoosung is the posterboy for the “childhood friend” trope
  • you lived in the same neighborhood as him so you were always going to his house and vice versa throughout the years
  • yoosung had always been popular with The Ladies but high school really emphasized that
  • you were still the only girl he bothered to hang out
  • this proved to be a challenge for you, as you often became the victim of bullying and rumors
  • you both shared similar aspirations, such as going to sky university and an interest in animal health services
  • but as the time went on, you weren’t just giving him valentines as friendship tokens anymore
  • and the nights you spent at his house weren’t just sleepovers full of jokes and dreams
  • but you had no clue how express to someone you’d known your whole life that you wanted to be more than just childhood friends ヽ( `д´*)ノ
  • wELL that is until one night when you and yoosung were studying at his house after school for a big test the next day
  • you were really struggling with one biology problem so you just “heyyy yoosung did you get number 14 because i have no clue what they’re—”
  • “i heard some girls talking about you.”
  • “… yeah so number 14—”
  • “they were saying the most horrible things about you. all because i hang out with you and not them. all because i only accept your valentines and not theirs. that’s not fair.”
  • “it’s okay, yoosung. they can’t help it. a-after all, you’re really nice and handsome and—”
  • “i… i want to be able to protect you, MC.”
  • … WELL S H I T GO RIGHT ON AHEAD MY DUDE
  • and he did ♡(。- ω -)

zen

  • zen had a pretty nasty home life and was constantly spending his days at your house
  • sometimes he would legitimately run down the street to your house in tears because of his mother’s harsh words or because of a stranger’s VERY creepy comment
  • you would assure ur sobbing pal that he was cute but so much more than that!! (o´∀`o)
  • you two would re-enact movie scenes and musical numbers together all the time
  • zen and you were very close when you first started high school but he drifted from you when he ran away from home, got his own place, and worked several jobs
  • eventually he wasn’t showing up to school much at all anymore, despite all your worried texts
  • one day, you walked by a group of guys in the hall after school talking about a party they had attended over the weekend and how “that one guy hyun was out of control”
  • that could mean anything
  • you were aware of zen’s, uh, passion for alcohol and even some drugs you were pretty sure (the devil’s lettuce will always getcha)
  • zen never left for a party without a text from you that said “stay safe” so what could have possibly happened??
  • you immediately headed for zen’s place with a knot in your stomach and didn’t even knock before you barged in
  • you were hit with the stench of cigarettes and the sight of a tattered zen on a couch
  • “hyun! what on earth happened to you? where were you?”
  • he jumped up, rushed over to you, and practically collapsed into your arms
  • “j-just… heh, some finance issues. and a nasty hangover. nothing to worry about.”
  • “‘nothing to worry about’? zen, you’re HURT.”
  • you then proceeded to roast him and his dangerous lifestyle
  • “and smoking cigarettes? really? i don’t want to kiss someone whose breath is all smokey.”
  • “… you want to kiss me?”
  • “i-if that will knock some sense into that thick skull of yours!”
  • “you don’t have to tell me twice.”
  • ヽ༼ຈل͜ຈ༽ノ

jaehee

  • jaehee did not have the easiest childhood in the world per se ╮( ̄ω ̄;)╭
  • but you two were inseparable and did everything together
  • you guys definitely got the soul sisters nomination in your middle school yearbook
  • … gal pals amirite (¬‿¬ )
  • you were the shining light jaehee had always needed and when high school rolled around that became extremely apparent
  • when her mother died, jaehee was destroyed and the move to her uncle’s residence took a huge toll on her
  • but it amazed you how she was able to maintain excellent grades and such a happy disposition when everything around her seemed to be going wrong
  • you guys hung out even more if that were even possible
  • one of your guys’ favorite things to do was find tiny hole-in-the-wall cafes and order a different item from the menu each time you went
  • nothing could beat the look on jaehee’s face when she smelled the blend of coffee and tea and pastries as she entered a cafe
  • the night before graduation, you and jaehee had a sleepover but couldn’t fall asleep since you were both so excited
  • it was around 2 am when jaehee spoke up out of nowhere
  • “MC, my life has changed so much. both of my parents are gone now. i’m about to go to an amazing university. but there’s one thing that hasn’t changed, one thing that’s stayed beside me for so, so long.”
  • “yourself?”
  • she laughed that breathy laugh that you loved oH GOD you loved her laugh how long have you loved her laugh
  • “no, MC. you. and… i think i want you to be with me for the rest of my life.”

jumin

  • you and jumin were church kids ╰(▔∀▔)╯
  • both your parents and jumin’s parents were always joking about you two growing up and getting married one day, probably because you two were always playing house together (with a cat as the baby ofc)
  • but jumin stopped wanting to play house once his father divorced his mother and remarried
  • you watched as jumin would turn down any girls who asked him out in middle school out of his suspicion of them
  • you found it to be unfair but it’s not like it mattered who jumin did and didn’t like
  • … right?
  • jumin wasn’t the only kid in town being crushed on
  • you found your fair share of not-so-secret admirers in high school and it was anything but pleasant
  • a kind “i’m sorry, but i’m not interested” was never taken well by these people
  • you were constantly getting catcalled, harassed, and bullied by the ones who were supposed to be in love with you!!! (╬ Ò﹏Ó)
  • one day you complained to jumin about it and expressed how sometimes you were legitimately afraid of some of the people you had turned down
  • right as you finished talking about someone in particular, they passed by and whistled
  • you almost cried on the spot and jumin noticed
  • “th-that’s who i was talking about.”
  • “i could tell. you know, you can always hold my hand when he’s around. then he’ll think i’m your boyfriend.”
  • “but you’re not my boyfriend.”
  • “… well, i could be.”

707

  • i guess mystic messenger just has a thing for crappy childhoods
  • you and seven didn’t see each other often growing up
  • but you were the only one who could make him smile and give him some sort of hope
  • you two had a lot of classes together in high school but your shared astronomy class really stood out to the both of you
  • you slowly found yourself falling in love with the redhead in glasses who was always showing you things like distorted pictures of dogs with the caption “BORK”
  • seven was always “busy” whenever you wanted to come to his house and only came to your house for small periods of time before hurrying home
  • when you guys did hang out, it was mostly visiting a local car dealership and though it bored you more than any class you took it was low-key adorable to see seven’s face light up when he saw a sports car he really liked
  • you spent all of your breaks and lunches with him at school in the computer lab
  • it was kind of weird how all he did was practice coding and the occasional hack into the school website (this made for fantastic april fools’ day pranks)
  • seven had his moody days and his downright cheerful days but you were there with a smile no matter what kind of funk he was in
  • sometimes he would let something pretty ominous slip like “don’t get close to me” but you pushed his 3edgy5me comments aside
  • there was no confession moment between you and seven
  • one day you just started holding hands and then the next week you were kissing his cheek and he was lending you his sweaters and walking you home and then you were married JK JK JK
  • but you proved to seven that nothing about him could ever drive you away, no matter how dark and twisted he thought he was

V

  • you, jumin, and V were a squad to behold
  • but jumin found himself three-wheeling you and V as the years went on
  • V was always taking pictures and drawing, doing whatever he could to express his artistic influence, and you often joined him
  • V was not the most sociable guy so you were one of the few friends that bothered to interact with him and you never had to worry about someone trying to get with him
  • nOT THAT YOU WERE CONCERNED WITH THAT OR ANYTHING
  • you found yourself quite lucky to be able to witness a side of V that no one else but you were able to see
  • high school opened up new possibilities for V, including photography clubs and art composition classes
  • you often served as the model for various projects and pieces (≧◡≦)
  • it felt cool being best friends with the school’s most iconic Art Hoe
  • you guys could be found at the local underground cafe that had an open mic night and hosted slam poetry events on the second tuesday of every month at any given time
  • anyone could see that you and V had feelings for each other
  • but anyone could also see that you and V were completely oblivious to the fact (and completely oblivious to your own feelings for each other tbh)
  • V was photographing you one day when he mumbled out of nowhere and probably by accident, “you’re stunning.”
  • your jaw dropped open and right as that happened, he snapped a picture
  • “j-jihyun! you don’t really mean it.”
  • “i do, though. i’d tell you to look into modeling, but what would my photography be without you?”

saeran

  • you met saeran through his brother, and although you never directly interacted with him until your high school years
  • you would sneak your lunch leftovers through his house’s window on your way home from school almost every day
  • when his mother wasn’t there, you and saeran would quietly talk to each other and he would tell you about all of the horrors he experienced
  • yet he warned you not to tell anyone and especially to NEVER call the police (╯︵╰,)
  • it was late into your high school days when saeran was finally able to attend school thanks to “some blonde religious lady and her fiancé”
  • he was constantly upset at his brother for abandoning him and his mother for abusing him but you were able to soothe him most days
  • saeran was sick a lot due to his past and his weak immune system but you were always bringing him soup and a tub of ice cream to his new home
  • you helped saeran learn how to socialize and tutored him when he didn’t quite grasp a subject
  • “now, saeran. if you want to be friends with someone, what’s a good way to tell them—”
  • “i love you.”
  • “no, no, no! we talked about ‘i love you’ last week. you use it when you want to—”
  • “no, i mean i actually love you.”
  • “i… look, we need to focus on this—”
  • “do you want to go out for ice cream?”
  • you blushed harder than you ever had before but you were so hAPPY????
  • “v-very good. and… yes. i’d love that.”

My ass after this new leg and back workout.

“If you plant them, they will grow!”

I did try to do the split squats at the recommendation of a few of you guys in place of lunges, and I still found myself really uncoordinated. I’ll try again next time and research more options, but as it is I feel like I hit most of those muscles pretty well with this routine.

Thoughts and theories.

Pretty Little Liars S07E14.

Wow. What an episode. We’re going to skip over a lot of the boring subplots and storylines that have nothing to do with the current mystery, and rather talk about the answers (which were mainly already predicted) and theories we have formed after watching the episode.

1) This episode was everything. I wish the first three episode of 7B were just like this. The first half of the episode wasn’t as great as the second half, but the episode overall just gave us early PLL vibes and it was amazing. We got answers to old mysteries, and even got flashback scenes explaining things.

2) Let’s start off with Mary Drake and Pastor Ted Wilson. Hanna and Spencer visit an address that Peter Hastings private investigator has found that is linked to Mary Drake and when they get there, they find Pastor Ted there. Apparently she’s been on his couch for a couple of nights and when Spencer and Hanna leave, Ted finds out that he’s the father of Charles/Charlotte DiLaurentis. Apparently he and Mary dated when he was in college and their relationship resulted in them having Charles. Ted however, never knew about Charles. He did, though, meet Charles at a camp he held for troubled young boys. He pulls out a photo of himself, Charles and Charles only friend, Lucas Gottesman.

3) Aria finally get’s an interesting storyline. What’s in her file that is so bad that would make Ezra choose Nicole, and that Nicole would be visiting Ezra in jail? “Jessica kept excellent records.” Whatever is in that file is pre 5x01, so before Jessica died. Aria leaves a vulnerable Ali to go meet AD and when she arrives who takes the hood off? Sydney Driscoll. She tells Aria that she shot Spencer, helped Jenna escape and made up the new A game. BUT, she accidentally reveals an ear piece. AD was feeding her lines the whole time. She’s just a decoy. And something tells us that she’s being blackmailed to be on AD’s team.

4) Alison + Emily’s eggs = apparent endgame? Now 90% of the fandom predicted this storyline, but there was some sort of hope that the storyline wasn’t going to make it onto the show. Remember when AD stole Emily’s eggs all that time ago? Well he/she fertilised them and implanted them into Ali that time at Welby whilst she was being tortured by her former husband.

5) Who killed Jessica DiLaurentis? That would be her crazy, unhinged twin sister Mary Drake. There’s just something about Mary. Let’s go back to 4x22, Mary Drake, pretending to be her sister Jessica, sneaks up behind Spencer one night. Before she can say anything, Veronica walks into Spencer’s room. Mary tries to sneak out of the Hastings house but gets caught by Peter Hastings. “I had to see her. Just one look. She’s beautiful, isn’t she Peter?” This was kind of sad. You’ve gotta feel for Mary. ANYWAY, Mary found out that Charles wasn’t really dead (as Jessica had told her) and set out on a mission to kill her sister for all she had done to her. Mary asked Peter to help and when he denied, she took his pills and used them to kill Jessica. The use of wrong medication made Jessica’s heart stop, with Mary ultimately killing her sister.

Things we wanna discuss.

- When Peter revealed Mary used his medication to kill Jessica, he says Mary killed Jessica and buried her in the Hastings yard. This clashes with what Charlotte had said in 6x10; she found Jessica in front of the DiLaurentis house and buried Jessica before she went to New York to see Ali. This could go two ways; either Charlotte lied to cover up for Mary, which means she knew about her birth mother not being Jessica before the time jump, OR, it’s just Peter assuming that Mary buried her in their backyard because he wasn’t there to hear Charlotte say she buried Jessica.

- We sorta knew Lucas was connected to Charlotte/Cece somehow, but we didn’t think it would go all the way back to childhood. Were Cece and Lucas dating? One scene that stands out is in 5x05 when Lucas talks to Hanna about his mysterious new girlfriend who apparently is coming into town. At the end of the episode, Cece/Charlotte moves into a new lair (as she is back from Paris and 5x05 marked the return of Big A).

- Alison gave Aria a weird look at the end of the episode when Aria’s turn was skipped. It was super sketchy and suspicious, but it’s probably just Alison becoming super suss of Aria. She went missing, is acting shady and now her turn is skipped? Ali is totally catching on already.

- The acting in this episode was everything! Especially Sasha, she did so well! All round good job! And the music and camera angles, this episode was just brilliant! I really, really hope the rest of this season is like this, because that would really be the love letter we were promised! I’m giving the episode a 10/10 because I am completely satisfied with the episode!

I Don’t Dance: Part 2 - Jughead x Reader

A/N —
Hi all! Thank you so much for all the lovely feedback on ‘I Don’t Dance’ and with a couple requests I have been asked to write a second part to this story, so your wish is my command! I will eventually set up a masterlist for all my work once I figure out how to actually make one lmao, but I hope you enjoy it and please do send in more requests for more stories

Words: 1086

Warnings: Kissing

(Y/N) , (H/C) , (E/C) — Your name, hair colour, eye colour.

You and Jughead had finally reached the school dance. It was just as how he described it, student hitting on students, Reggie spiking the punchbowl, Betty and Veronica clinging onto Archie’s arm, welcome to Riverdale. Josie and the Pussycats were performing their songs on the stage as everyone danced along to the rhythm. (Y/N) held onto Jughead’s arm, feeling a bit self conscious as you watched everyone look so dressed up and fancy.

“Don’t worry, (Y/N), you look fine,” Jughead reassured you. You looked him in the eyes, sighing but nodding as you gave up and believed him. Jughead always figured out how you were always feeling, although at times you wouldn’t show it physically. “It’s the school dance, let’s make the best of it.”

You two walked to the punchbowl, greeting Archie, Betty, Veronica and Kevin.

“Oh my god, no way. You two are literally couple goals. I’ve got to Snapchat this.” Kevin gushed at the sight of you two, making Jughead and (Y/N) blush. He took out his phone and took a quick snap of you two, making Jughead roll his eyes but chuckle.

“Seriously, I had no idea you cleaned up so well, Jughead.” Veronica smiled at him. Betty and Archie nodded, although Betty was still blushy over Archie.

“It means a lot guys, thanks?” (Y/N) giggled at the compliments they have been receiving.

A little throughout the night, the rest of the gang danced on the dance floor or Veronica reassured Betty that she was perfect and didn’t have to feel self conscious about herself in front of Archie. You and Jughead both sat on the bleachers, a solo cup in one hand filled with two Cokes as you both sipped on them watching Reggie drunk hitting on Miss Grundy.

“This school is a joke, quite frankly.” Jughead laughed as he watched Reggie slur something flirty to every girl that walks past him.

“Tell me about it. But don’t you think Riverdale’s been a little different since the death of Jason? I mean, even Cheryl’s changed, and she’s the queen bee.” (Y/N) said, taking her (E/C) off Reggie and moving to Cheryl, staring up at the big banner of her dead twin brother, Jason Blossom.

“I’ve noticed that. Hey, have I told you that I’m writing a novel about it? If you want sometime, I don’t know, would you like to go to Pop’s and maybe read what I’ve got so far? Y-you don’t have to if you don’t want to, it’s just I haven’t told anyone about it yet besides my dad, but my dad’s too busy to read it at the moment.” Jughead blushed which made your heart flutter. You hated seeing Jughead sad at times, since he is your best friend and your crush, you knew you couldn’t let him down.

“That sounds interesting. I’d love to, Jughead. I haven’t seen you write in so long since you’ve drifted away from Archie.”  (Y/N) smiled at him, making him smile too at the sight of her being so interested in his writing.

“R-Really? I-I… thanks, I guess.” Jughead stared down at his cup before looking back into her eyes. The both of them piercing together their sight made them not realise they were leaning in. As soon as their lips were about to reach, an announcement on the microphone changed from Josie’s to Archie’s.

“Hey everyone. Uh, I don’t usually sing in front of this many people, but we’re gonna take things a little slower. Grab a partner and I hope you enjoy.” And with that, the atmosphere in the room changed, everyone going quiet apart from Archie singing on stage. (Y/N)’s eyes widened as she looked back at Jughead once again.

“You know, a little birdy told me that they promised me a dance.” (Y/N) smirked at Jughead.

“Oh, no, no, no, (Y/N) you know I can’t dance. I-I… I don’t dance.” Jughead blushed.

“Please, Juggie? You promised me, and it’s only one song for one night and I won’t ever ask you again.” (Y/N) pouted as she fluttered her eyes at him, finally making Jughead give in.

“Fine, fine, okay. Come on.” He smirked, standing up from the bleachers and holding a hand out. You smirked back up at him, standing up too and interlocking your fingers with his, guiding you to the dance floor to join everyone else.

As both of your feet hit the ground, you both stared each other. Not sure who to lead who as to admit, you didn’t have much dancing experience either, you took Jughead’s handing and placed them on your waist.

“I’m no expert, but I’m pretty sure these belong here,” (Y/N) giggled softly as she slowly placed her hands on Jughead’s shoulders. “And I’m pretty sure these belong here as well.” That made Jughead’s lips escape a snort.

“And now what?” Jughead whispered down to you.

“Well, from my knowledge in cheesy teen movies, I think we just stare at each other and sway along to the music.” And that’s exactly what the two of you did. She had to admit, Jug wasn’t bad at all at dancing, which surprised her since he persuaded her that he was awful at it.

The way they both held onto each other was warm and felt right. They both moulded together so perfectly and fit in each others arms like a jigsaw puzzle. Your fingers carefully played with the raven haired boys locks at the back of his neck, making him smile down at you as he carefully cradled you gently in comfort. The two of you knew that the song was soon coming to end, although the both of you wanted to stay like that forever. And then suddenly, it felt like all disappeared. It was just you, Jughead, and the music carrying you into a romance. And just like that, Jughead leant down ever so slowly and attached his lips with yours in a romantic, yet passionate, kiss. He moved his hands to hold your face steady and (Y/N) moved hers to his shirt to grip onto.

As the song finally came to a end, unfortunately your kiss did too. But Jughead still held onto your cheeks, staring deeply into your (E/C) eyes as he brushed a fallen strand of your (H/C) hair back. You gently placed your forehead against his, closing your eyes as you just remembered what just happened.

“I love you, Jughead Jones.”

A/N — Aaa, so that’s it! Thank you guys so much for all the love you have been sending my way for the first part, and it was extremely fun to write the second part. Please do send in mor requests! Also, are you keen for the last ep of Riverdale tonight?

EXO react to you listening to rap/rock music

Thank y’all for these requests! Thought it would make sense to combine them so here we go:

Sehun:*after he discovered that you do indeed like rap music, even though you’d denied it blue in the face, he used it as an excuse to show off his rap skills. He’d appear behind your shoulder at least twice daily to promote his imaginary mixtape or rap in your ear about his mixtape*

S:“Since you’re so fond of rap, buy my mixtape please, Y/N.”

Y/N:“You haven’t got one after 5 years, what makes you think SM’s gonna give you one now?”

S:

Kai:*definitely surprised when you eventually tell him your guilty pleasure is rock music, but he doesn’t mind listening to it. Tbh he actually quite likes it and he finds it makes a change to the music he usually listens to aka the weeknd can you believe kai invented the weeknd*

i didnt know what gif to use so have this pureness

Tao:*confused when he walked past your room and saw you sat on the bed listening to rap music and chilling. Mainly confused because you supposedly hate this kind of music, but he saw this as a chance to introduce you to some bomb rappers*

“If you like rap music you should check out this rapper, his name is Z.Tao. Thank you, bye”

D.O:*he was kinda taken aback when you said you like rock music, especially since you’d hated on it many times before. But eh, it didn’t make any difference to him except that he now chooses music for sex otherwise you’ll be banging to metallica or smth*

Chanyeol:*honestly he didn’t think rock music would be your kind of thing, but when he said you could choose the music in the car one day his eyes were opened. He couldn’t help but start laughing out of surprise which you kindly didn’t appreciate*

Chen:*was more than glad to show you his own rocker skills when you admitted your secret love for this kind of music. Got pretty butthurt though when you sat on the couch looking unimpressed after his private performance*

“Want another kind of private performance? ;)”

Baekhyun:*oh boy the teasing and mockery would basically never end when Baek found you listening to rap music. The teasing might not have been that bad had you not ranted about your hate of Kanye West literally earlier that same day*

“How’s my little rockstar today?”

Lay:*really surprised when he heard you listening to hard rock and lowkey screamo music, and then started insisting he could do it and that he was scary too which was so adorable that you struggled to function*

Suho:*didn’t care that you liked rock music, didn’t make any difference to him. The only thing he didn’t approve of was the song you’d chosen as your alarm ringtone - it was so loud and scared him so much when he woke up to it he fell off the bed*

Kris:*he walked into your room and pulled your headphones off to see what you were listening to only to hear Juice blasting through. Considering the way you’d dismissed the song when it came out, it was a bit of a surprise to him*

K:“Thought I wasn’t your style”

Y/N:“Make that joke and I’m removing this from my playlist”

did i just make that joke end me make me delete my account

Luhan:*saw you lying on the couch with headphones in and wanted to hear what you were listening to so he unplugged them from your phone. Over the protesting coming from you he heard heavy rock and a song he didn’t once think you’d enjoy listening to so he backed away out of the room*

“Well this is mildly terrifying”

Xiumin:*since he thinks you’re the softest bun like him, he was shocked when he heard you listening to Drake. But he didn’t give a damn, because it’s just a music taste, but he did use it as an excuse to tease you lowkey*

“Yknow I’m pretty sure Drake got a lapdance…”

I don’t own the gifs, credit to respective owners

TADAAAAAAAA... Shirtless Gladio unlocked. Gladnis incoming. Prepare yourselves.

First of all, I want to dedicate this entire photoshoot to @billionhighways and @terra-bunny for their endless cheerleading when I was trying to unlock that flaming outfit. If we can call it that. But here he is:

So guess what I did next… Yes. You’re welcome. Pretty boyfriends:

Started with romantic, hand in hand, bathed in moonlight moments:

Then I suspect there must have been a combination of music and alcohol from the restaurant because we had some nice grinding dancing. :)

Ignis, where is your hand?

Okay, now we all know where your hand is… shameless Iggy.

Gladio was so tired by morning…

Well, they were both tired, but still adorable.

Trying so hard to pose, hand in hand again.

Leaning on each other… they really looked like they needed some sleep.

( Inspired by an imagine by fandomoftears I really hope you don’t mind me writing this. It was just such a fun idea! )

Warnings : Balthazar does make a sexual comment. This imagine is kinda lengthy. Sorry, I got carried away.

You didn’t want to go; you weren’t really the religious type, but when a few of the Angels offered to go with you on a trip to visit your old family church, how could you say no? Cas accompanied you in your jeep since he knew you hated driving long distances on your own and the two of you met Gabriel, Balthazar, and Lucifer at you mothers house. It really was the oddest situation. You walked through the door to see your mother fawning over ‘how adorable’ Lucifer was and the angel looked surprised at the attention to say the least. Your mother knew about what you did for a living and she was beyond excited when you told her about the Angels. She insisted on meeting them, so this trip really did work out for everyone.

“Oh, (Y/n), these boys are all just so cute! And they’ve been so well mannered. I can’t really get the littler one to talk though.” She whispered the last part, cutting her eyes towards Lucifer.

“Luce, you feeling alright?” You laughed at him and he stuck his tongue out at you.

“Better now that you’re here, (Y/n).” He soon replied and your mother made a small squealing sound, squeezing your elbow.

“He’s flirting with you, (Y/n).” You mother said excitedly. You rolled your eyes. “So, where is everyone sleeping tonight?” She asked, looking around at the five of you.

“Angels don’t sleep, mom.” You said, laughing a bit as you carried your bags upstairs. The Angels had begun following you closely ever since you walked through the door and your mother was more than amused by it.

“I want to stay where ever (Y/n) is staying. We wouldn’t be sleeping much anyways.” Gabriel winked and you turned around on the top step, quickly punching him in the arm.

“Oh, you kids.” Your mother giggled before walking out the front door.

“Could you be anymore obnoxious?” You snapped at Gabe as you reached your old bedroom, throwing you bag on your bed.

“I could, but you keep me on a leash, doll.” Gabriel threw himself on your bed, bouncing once in the air before settling down on the soft mattress.

“Can you boys imagine how many times a sexually awakened, teenaged (Y/n) has touched herself in this very room.” Balthazar waved his hand around the room for a dramatic effect and you groaned in annoyance. “Oh, stop stressing yourself, love. We’ll be on our best behavior tomorrow morning.” He promised, sitting down in your office chair, spinning himself a bit.

“I hope so.” You mumbled before laying down next to Gabriel. “Don’t make me regret this.”

“We’re just poking fun at you, sweets. Now, you should get some rest. Big day tomorrow.” Gabriel seemed more excited than anyone and you didn’t see why. It was just church.

-

“(Y/n), are you sure this is a good idea? Should I be here?” Lucifer was holding your hand like a lost child and you felt kinda bad for him. “Of course I shouldn’t be here. What kind of question is that?” He was uttering to himself and you stopped, turning around to face him before walking through the church door.

“Listen to me, Luce, you’re fine. No one knows who you are and I want you with me. I need you with me.” You whispered to him. He smiled softly at you before taking in a deep breath and walking through the door with you.

“This is exciting.” Gabriel smirked, flopping down next to Castiel. Your mother was sitting in the front row, but you thought it would be best to keep your little party of angles in the back in case they got too rowdy. You were honestly worried at how happy Gabe was over this. He had to be up to something.

“Gabe,” you sighed, leaning forward so that you could see him past Balthazar. He shot you a wink.

“I’ll keep an eye on him, (Y/n). He won’t do anything out of line while I’m here.” Castiel promised you.

“Thank you, Cas.” You smiled a bit at him before the preacher took the stage.

“Let’s get this party started.” Balthazar said, resting his hand on your thigh. You never really noticed how close you were with all of the Angels until now. It was nice.

-

You were halfway through the service and you could tell the boys were getting antsy. Lucifer had both of his hands wrapped tightly around your right one. Balthazar was tapping your thigh impatiently and snickering quietly to you in between sarcastic remarks. Castiel kept leaning forward to look at you every time the preacher said something he didn’t like. Gabriel was just scaring you now. He was quiet. Too quiet.

You leaned forward to get a peak at him.

“Relax, darling. He knows better than to upset you.” Balthazar whispered to you, but you just couldn’t shake the worry you felt.

“There are signs everywhere of the Lord’s presence.” The preacher was saying. “When you’re in times of-” He fell silent, staring towards the back of the room. You and everyone else turned around to see a flag blowing frantically without a bit of wind in the room. Balthazar placed his head on your shoulder to hide his red face as he tried to hold in his laughter. You glanced at Gabe to see him smirking, at the amazed expressions on everyone’s faces.

“Oh my god.” You whispered, turning back around in your seat.

“God is with us ladies and gentlemen!” The preacher began shouting and the room erupted in applause.

“I’m gonna kill him.” You swore, looking up at Lucifer to see him smirking as well.

“He’s not harming anything, (Y/n).” He chuckled a bit. “If anything, he just gave these people a story to tell.”

“Yeah, I guess you’re right.” You sighed, allowing yourself to laugh a bit and settle down in your seat. This actually went pretty well for having four Angels in church.

-

“It was great to see you, (Y/n).” Your mother hugged you tightly before kissing your cheek and turning around to look at the Angels. “Don’t think I don’t know that it was one of you who pulled that flag stunt.” She raised her pointer finger and looked at them sternly before breaking into a smile. “That was the most entertaining service that church has had since (Y/n) switched the piano music with an ACDC song.”

“You did what?!” Gabriel burst into laughter and you giggled a bit. “This whole time you thought that I was going to be the one to start trouble! We should have been keeping an eye on you instead!”

“Oh, hush.” You rolled your eyes before hugging your mom one last time.

“Don’t be shy, boys! Come back with (Y/n) and see me anytime!” She said as the five of you walked towards your jeep. You all waved your goodbyes as you pulled out of the driveway and started down the road.

“I actually had a lot of fun with you guys this weekend.” You admitted to the Angels, smiling to yourself.

“See? We’re not that bad.” Gabriel poked your cheek before turning up a song on the radio.

“Now we just need to meet your father.” Balthazar added with a devious smirk. Gabriel smirked as well when he saw a look of horror flash across your face.

“That is so not happening.”

anonymous asked:

have you seen "theneedledrop"'s review? he's the biggest music reviewer on youtube...he was pretty harsh but he had good points as well...

I don’t think I did – I’ve certainly not watched any YouTube reviews (and I have negative interest in doing so – there’s only so much male critique I can take, especially not in written form. I am far far more interested in the reviews from women. For the most part, male music reviewers can go wank in their own corners out of my line of sight, thank you).

Don’t get me wrong – I loooove this album. It’s flaws make it what it is, which is just the first step in Harry’s solo career. It’s a reflection of this time and place. Harry couldn’t have made this album if he were fully out, I don’t think, and clearly his inspiration from figures like Bukowski and some older rock and roll includes these female archetypes. As trite as they are to us, they are meaningful to Harry, not necessarily because of what they say about women, but because of what they say about male desire and introspection and demons. I think many of us would have preferred more ambiguity, but that’s not the project Harry was doing. Harry was writing an album to tell about his journey over the last 7 years and that includes his interest in that music and those writers. He used that source material in a way to tell his own stories about fame and ego and frustration but he had to work within the confines of his reality. Which means his metaphors are trapped in an older discursive framework than maybe he’d have liked, but they still served to tell his stories, to get his point of view across. It’s just that the more constrained your metaphorical options are, the fewer people that are going to truly get where you’re going.
