but i did have to change your eye colour

1. How tall are you? I’m 5′0″  smollllllll

2. What colour and style is your hair? Right now it’s black and blue in a long-ish mohawk

3. What colour are your eyes? Dark brown

4. Do you wear glasses? Yes, completely blind without them and I’m afraid of contacts.

5. Do you wear braces? I did when I was a young thing.  Don’t know that they did much.

6. What is your fashion sense? It changes.  Somedays it’s “glamourous punk chic” other days it’s “unwashed apostate hobo”

7. Do you have any siblings? I have middle kid syndrome so bad.

8. What kinda student were/are you? I’m clever, but a big procrastinator.  So, I’m stressed a lot 

9. What is your favourite subject? I like anything involving critical thinking and writing

10. Favourite TV shows? Being Human US, Doctor Who, Firefly, Dollhouse

11. Favourite books? M JM Barrie’s Peter Pan, The Child Thief, Locke and Key, The Amory Wars, Invisible Monsters, Choke, The Fuck-Up 

12. Favourite pastime? Reading, Writing, Drinking, Playing D&D or Whitewolf games

13. Any regrets? … Yeah.  Um.  Pretty much every major decision I ever made

14. What is your dream job? I want to move into hospice care instead of cardiology.  There’s so much less money though, I need a bigger savings.

15. Do you want to get married? So much yes

16. Do you want kids? How many? … maybe?

17. How many countries have you visited? None yet.

18. What’s the scariest dream you’ve ever had? M I have stress dreams more than horror dreams.  I will dream that I got fired or that my sister was in danger and I couldn’t get to her on time, or the world is in chaos and I missed the chance to join the fight

19. Do you have any enemies? Um, probably somewhere.  

20. Do you have a datemate? huh?

“We never really knew each other, did we?” he whispers. She doesn’t lift her eyes from her knuckles rapping her knee in a repeating pattern.

“I guess not,” she shrugs non-commitally.

“Maybe it would have changed this,” he said.

She meets his eyes and he realises he never knew there was brown mixed in with the green of them.

“Maybe.” And even though he didn’t say it out loud he thinks she knows that what he really meant was “Maybe it would have made you stay.

She turns to leave but his voice makes her turn back one final time.

"What’s your favourite colour?”

A sad, small smile creeps across her face.


And then she leaves and he’s speaking to the silence when he says, “Mine too.”
