but he never got to meet his mom

You know I just love this woman.

She hasn’t even met the man for more than a couple hours but she has already given him a loving nickname, like he’s part of the family.

She cooks for him.

Also she made it EXTRA-LARGE, I’m sure not everybody gets that special treatment.

“An extra-large for the handsome russian boy.”

And just look how delighted she gets when Victor praises her food. She’s just the perfect mother in law.

And never forget this.

She looks so proud, so pleased, and you know most parents want their kids to find someone who’ll take care of them the same way they did, because their kids are their treasures, they are what they consider most precious in their lifes. And she knows her son has finally found the one, he has finally got to meet the man who’ll treasure him above everything, and I think she knew it since Victor walk through their door… You know, how moms have this sixth sense about people, and more when it involves friends or lovers.

That smile, she’s a proud mom, and she knows his son now has someone who will be sure to hold him up even in the hardest of times.

Now imagine them both coming back to Hasetsu after the grand prix… and having to explain the rings, their engagement, and the future date for their wedding. Imagine her joy. Imagine her with her future grandchildren, I don’t know I just love her too dam much.

Bonus:

“An ecstatic smol mom, skipping after listening to his future son in law praise her cooking skills.”

Solangelo headcanon: Nico knows about the whole ‘taking your partner to meet the parents’ tradition, so when he and Will have been dating for awhile, he decided to take Will to meet Sally Jackson cause she’s the closest thing he’s got to a good parent

Percy (whos staying with his mom during this time) is lowkey baffled that Nico is introducing his boyfriend to a woman he has no familial relation to, but Sally is overjoyed beyond belief and gives Will 'her blessing’ (though he never needed it, and Sally agrees) and she treats them to a blue breakfast as Sally comments on how healthy Nico looks

Idk where I was going with this but Sally Jackson is the best mom to all

“I never knew that love had a sound, until I heard you laugh.” Since you got scouted at age 17, you probably haven’t had the time to spend your birthday back in L.A. despite this, I hope wherever you are, you’re surrounded by people who love and care for you. Even if we are unable to meet one day, the fact that you and I exist under the same sky is enough for me. Instead of making a graphic, I decided to gif clips of your laugh/smile, because all I want for your birthday is your happiness. Thank you for working hard for us~ Happy Birthday to my favorite boy, Joshua Hong ♡ #가장_위험한_세븐틴_교회오빠_탄신일

Imagine this: The X Files season 19 Dana Scully kicks butt as head of the FBI where she gets special privileges to bring Daggoo into the office with her. Also makes an appearance- her puppy dog husband Fox Mulder who comes in tow with Trainee William Scully-Mulder, fresh graduate of Georgetown, debating between joining the FBI and going to medical school. His mom said she’d be happy with whatever decision he made and promised not to give him special treatment if he decided to become an agent. His dad schooled him on the government’s conspiracies against him and warned him that once he got in, he was never getting out. Young William, the momma’s boy that he is, decided to use his talents to bring criminals to justice and help make the world a better place. Also- he gets to hang out with Daggoo while his super important head of the FBI mom is in meetings. Overall it’s a win-win-lose situation. The only one who lost is Fox Mulder but he wins because he’s married to super hot and immortal Head of the FBI Dana Scully.

When Evan was younger his mom signed him up for violin lessons to get him to meet people and have a creative outlet He never admitted it but he really enjoyed it and he got really good, but decided to quit because they wanted him to perform in a big concert that would have stressed him out wayyyy too much. anonymous asked:

do you guys still have heihei and pua?

While my mom has great memories of Hei Hei, he died soon after she got back to Motonui after her journey, so I never got to meet the little guy. According to the village, he tasted great, though! What little of him there was to eat.

As for Pua, he’s on his last leg, but hanging in there! He’s pretty fat now, with a bunch of piglets so when he does go to the big pigpen in the sky, we’ll always have his memory in them.

“I never got to meet my family. Papá…,” Isaac stiffened. “Papa always told me they were bad people. They wanted nothing to do with me and mom.” A lie if he ever heard one. Growing up, his mother always showed him pictures of her loving family. So bright and knitted together. She was smiling so happily he almost thought the picture was a fake.

His mother never smiled like this. It only pointed out how broken and fragile his family was and the cruelty of the man he called his father.

“Your father told you this?” Seth asked, shocked. What kind of father would do this? He swore he heard a small accent in the boy’s tone, different from before but he quickly switched back. “What kind of man would do this to his child…” He was disgusted. It was angelic law to never mistreat in a manner like this. And it was steadily growing more obvious to him that Isaac was a complete shut in; never ever to see the world.

“He was a very bad man…”

“Isaac. If you knew your family was out there, what would you do?”

Isaac perked up, bubbling with excitement. “I would ask them about mom! About the song she sang to me! About our family! I don’t think they were ever mean! Mom was always nice! Um… I just don’t want to be alone.”

Ruffling the boy’s hair, Seth smiled, “But you are never alone, remember?”

His smile brightening, he nodded, “Mhm!”

Imagine Stydia after the Sheriff dies.

Stiles becomes this… shell. And Lydia doesn’t know what to do. For the first time since high school, she’s terrified of him. She’s afraid to leave him alone. She’s afraid to hover too much. She’s afraid to let him see how much she’s hurting as well because she loves his dad too.

There’s this moment where it hits Stiles that there’s consequences to his behavior that he never realized– his dad is dead and he never got to meet a grandchild. “I destroyed his life, and then I didn’t give him anything back,” he says to the wall one night. Lydia buries her face between his shoulder blades and tries to use the force of her body to stop him from shaking, but she is so small. So small.

She hasn’t seen Stiles get this bad about about his mom in years– actually, maybe not ever. But the absence of both of his parents demolishes the progress Stiles has made in his life. Tarnishes any sort of barrier he has build between himself and the experiences he had with his mom.

And Lydia, for the first time, has to reverse their roles. She touches him constantly, even though she isn’t sure he wants it. She tells him she loves him frequently, and openly, until she feels like she is offering him up her blood– anything, anything, anything as long as he is okay again. She places his head in her lap while he cries and strokes his hair and calls him “my love,” something that she’s never done before and doesn’t do again for years and years and years.

She muddles her way through cooking and forces him to eat, telling him stories– stories about himself and Scott, stories about Stiles and his dad, stories about random stuff that happened at work that day. And she spends every single day terrified that she isn’t enough, that her growth wasn’t enough, that years and years of loving him so much that it makes her ache will not be enough to fix this. He’s lost his dad. Lydia doesn’t know how she can do anything to even begin to bandage that wound.

She relives the funeral over and over again, the black dress she’d worn and the black tights and the way her wedding ring had hurt so much because of how tightly Stiles’ hand was holding it, making the ring dig in to her skin.

Lydia wishes he would talk more, but he is wrapped up in guilt for something that Lydia doesn’t think exists. She realizes, belatedly, that he’s abusing himself just so he can have fresh feelings for someone who’s gone.

It’s one of those things that remind her of how complicated Stiles is. Even when she thinks she has her husband figured out, she finds herself crying to Scott on the phone one night, Lydia’s legs tucked under herself as she sits on the bathroom floor, whispering to her best friend that she doesn’t know what to do. She’s terrified of him. She’s terrified because this could have been it, the final thing that tugs Stiles away from them, and Lydia can’t lose her husband. She is certain that she has always needed him more than he needs her. She can’t lose her husband.

Tbh, all I can think about is what Han Solo was like as a father when Ben was really young before everything turned Terrible

  • like can you just imagine little Ben sitting beside Han in the cockpit of the Millennium Falcon, laughing and pressing the controls as Han explains what each one does
  • or Han never ever being able to say no to Ben, like you want that piece of candy, you got it, kid
  • or Han and Leia arguing about whether his first word will be mom or dad and Ben smiles and opens his mouth and it’s a pretty spot on imitation of Chewy
  • Han ‘Can Talk His Way Out Of Anything’ Solo being at a loss for words when at the parent teacher meeting, Ben’s primary school teacher talks about exactly how colorful Ben’s language has been in class because he knows Ben didn’t learn most of those words from Leia
  • bedtime stories that may or may not be toned down versions of Han’s adventures as a smuggler or alternatively, of a war, where the hero always gets the princess
  • Han always worrying about Ben because even after saving the galaxy, he’s still got some enemies from his smuggling days
  • Ben saying he wants to be just like his dad and Leia snorting with laughter with Chewy laughing too, but hey, there are worse people to wanna be like Darth Vader

For my beautiful @bellalou5 whose birthday was yesterday, she has give me the beautiful gift of her friendship and I wanted to make something special for her. I know I am a day late but this is for you, Happy belated birthday, sweetie. You’re wonderful and you deserve everything.

He cried, he won’t lie. He cried when he got the acceptance letter. He was going to college, Percy Jackson was going to college. Annabeth and his mom were screaming and cheering while he held the letter in his hands, reading over and over the words.

He never thought this day would come, he honestly thought he didn’t had a chance getting accepted in college, but the proof was in his hands. Percy Jackson was going to start his freshman year in Ithaca next fall.

“You did it, sweetie.” he raised his eyes to meet his mother’s. She was looking at him, she was crying and he bet that if he turned to see Annabeth, she would be crying too. “You got it.”

“I’m going to college, mom,” Sally put her arms around him. “It’s actually happening.”

Growing up with a single mother who worked 3 jobs just so they could survive week by week was nothing he was ashamed of, he was proud of his mother for everything she did for him, but living like that make college not an option. He started working since he was little, first it was little jobs like dog walker or paperboy, jobs that didn’t pay much but they paid for his lunch and his school notebooks and pens.

He tried his best at school but it was hard when he barely slept because of his work and his dyslexia didn’t help him at all, that’s when Annabeth came into the picture. He was failing miserable sixth grade, he was crying in the library, hidden between bookshelves, he had just gotten another F and he had to tell his mom, that’s how Annabeth found him, she sat next to him in silence until she took the failed text from his hand and told him she was going to make him get a B, she did.

Annabeth became his best friend and as sad as it sounded, she was his first friend. She helped him with his homework, even doing his when he had double shifts. Annabeth, unlike him, grow up rich, her parents were divorced so she always got twice of everything, her parents trying to buy her love with material things, even if they never were home or went to her piano recitals.

Annabeth opened a new door for Percy’s life, she helped him with school and she gave him the best gift he could ask for: friendship. Annabeth became close with friends a year younger than them, and those friends soon became his friends too.

High school started and Percy got a new job at a small café not far away from his place. His situation at home was getting a little better, his mom had gotten a better job and they moved out to a better apartment. Sally had two jobs now and had more free time, while Percy had a job that gave him a better income, but it wasn’t enough for college, he knew it and Sally knew it, she always apologized for it but Percy didn’t hold it against her. He didn’t mind not going to college and he was okay with that decision.

Annabeth convinced him to join the swimming team in their sophomore year and that’s when the small window of hope opened. He was really good at swimming and with time he started listening to his couch drop the “swimming scholarship” more and more often. But still he didn’t want to let hope in his heart, he didn’t want to try and believe he could make it only to have his dream crushed, he always knew college wasn’t for him, but now? Now he couldn’t afford to think different.

But Sally and Annabeth thought different and they begged him to try, they believed in him, they knew he could make it, why he couldn’t see it?. Annabeth dragged him to colleges, asking him to please considerate, he was smart and he was talented and he could help the sea life if he studied marine biology. So he did, he applied, because Annabeth and Sally wanted him to, and they were his girls, how he could say no to them? He couldn’t lose anything, he had his mind set on not going to college.

But now, now he had a letter in his hand telling him he had a swimming scholarship and they were more than happy to have him in their college next fall.

“I had to go to Ithaca and look for jobs near campus,” Percy said.

Annabeth laughed. “As long as it is closer to Cornell than your campus. I want you near me.”

“Greedy, aren’t you? You will have me in the same town, now I have to be extra close to your campus?” Percy said.

“Now kids, you two will have time for that later,” Sally said. “We have to call Paul and tell him we are going to go out for dinner.”

“Mom! No.”

“I’m not taking no as an answer. My baby boy is going to college, the hell I’m not going to celebrate it.”

“Annabeth, you support me, right?”

“My boyfriend just got accepted into college, I kinda feel like celebrating it,” Annabeth said and Sally gave her a high five.

Percy wanted to argue about spending money in something as silly as taking him for dinner, but Annabeth and Sally had this huge smiles on their faces, smiles he was sure he was mirroring, and against all odds and against what most of his teachers thought, he got accepted into college. Sure, it was not a full scholarship like Annabeth’s but it was a pretty sweet scholarship indeed and for one night, he allowed himself not think about money and the future and just celebrate that he was going to college.

Ok but seeing how five of the eight members in the Suicide Squad have been/are parents. We could have PTA Squad AU.

- Katana’s that stay at home mom who always brings the best treats.

- Boomer’s that embarrassing dad who never wants to show up to these meetings and always gets into fights.

- Harley’s the problematic mom who’s not afraid to tell Beth her cookies are as dry as her personality.

- Croc is just a friend of Harley’s who shows up to eat all the snacks then leaves.

- El Diablo usually shows up late or has to leave early because he’s got an important call to take. Either way, he makes a lot of noise coming or going.

- Deadshot just sits in the back judging all these guys and praying his daughter isn’t friends with any of these parents’ kids.

- Slipknot came for the first meeting but made a scene saying how stupid this was and never came back.

- And Rick Flag is the poor sap who was put in charge of these events.

((Fear not I am indeed alive and still continuing this blog! As of tomorrow, I am free, so I’ll get started on some asks, but here’s a picture of a cute idea i’ve had since I’ve been gone so long~
Because En didn’t really formerly meet Atsushi or Kinshiro until all three were in middle school, I assume he never got to see that super cute little schoolboy outfit Kinshiro wore when he was younger (I assume the flashback it’s shown in is from elementary school,  it looks like an elementary school uniform to me), and to be honest I think his reaction upon finally being shown would be pretty similar to mine… so here it is! Atsushi had asked his mom to email the picture to him once the realization struck him and he thinks its hilarious, and also kinda cute. Kinshiro is confused.))

Okay so when my mom and dad were first dating, my dad told his parents about her but he never brought her around, so they never got to meet her. He even got her knocked up and failed to introduce her to his parents, so they think its some big joke every time he mentions her. Well one day my moms in labor with my oldest brother (whos like now 32), and calls up my dad to tell him hes about to be a dad. So naturally he yells “SHES HAVING THE BABY!” and after 9 long months of trying convince his parents that he really has got a girlfriend, they both just look up at him, and then back down at their newspapers bc frankly, the jokes getting old. My dad races to the hospital, with a shitty old polaroid camera (keeping in mind that this is 32 years ago) and takes a picture of my mom holding their baby, but the picture doesn’t develop right. My dads 100% Irish and my moms white as can be, and now they have a picture of what looks like a black woman holding a black newborn. Later that night, my dad goes back to his parents house and shows them the picture, proud as can be that he has a son, and they laugh hysterically. “Youve gotta be kidding Ed, even if she was dark skinned, the baby would at least be light enough to be a mix of your irish blood and hers, but this kids dark as can be. Who are you trying to fool?” (also, they lived in a very white suburban neighborhood, probably 3 black families in the entire town at the time so my grandparents arent buyin any of the bullshit my dads layin down for them). Okay but my dad ends up bringing my uncle with him to the hospital the next day, and my uncle is the first in the family to meet my mom and brother, and when he finally meets her, hes in total disbelief, but runs home and tells his parents that Eddies really got a girl knocked up and that theyre grandparents now. With both my dad and uncle telling my grandma and grandpa that my dads really got a girlfriend now, they end up going to the hospital the next day to meet my mom but by the time they get there, SHES ALREADY GONE HOME. Now my grandparents are fucking pissed that their two jackass kids drove them all the way out to the hospital for a practical joke, and to make matters worse, my brother was born on April Fools Day. So yeah, thats the story of how my dads entire family went almost a week before meeting my mom after she had my brother back in ‘84 bc they all thought my dad spent over 9 months on an April Fools prank. Gotta love em

Guys guys guys

I went to dinner with my mom last night (at a bar) where she wanted to meet up with some friends. I’m a social person and I like meeting others, but I always have to prepare myself to be misgendered and either suck it up because I’ll never see them again or go forward with trying to correct people and risking putting myself in danger.

So my mom introduced me to her friend and I shook his hand. He got all surprised and said “wow! You shake hands like a man!” And I just kinda…. “That’s because I am one”. He looked at me and I didn’t see any doubt or judgement in his face- I didn’t even see understanding. He just said “holy crap, dude, you’ve got a serious case of baby face. I bet you’re going to be carded forever.”

And that moment literally elated my soul. He legitimately took me as a cisgendered man1 a baby-faced cisgendered man. I’m so fucking happy and it totally made my night.

Kisses

Harry would kiss you on your forehead when he feels like he has to make sure you feel safe with him. He’d do it when he’s in public with you and the paparazzi come really close, or when you’re nervous because you’d meet his mom for the first time.

Harry would kiss you on the temple when he’d got you cuddled up with him. He’d love to kiss this spot especially, because he’d feel like it’s a really personal and intimate spot to kiss somebody.

Harry would kiss you on the nose when he’d want to make you laugh. You’d scrunch your nose beneath his lips and a cute giggle would be heard soon after. He’d never fail to make you laugh.

Harry would kiss you on the cheek when you wouldn’t pay attention to him at all. You’d be caught up in your book, your phone, a TV show or the music in your speakers. He’d admire your beauty because you were just being you. He’d also love the smile that would light up your face after this tiny gesture of his.

Harry would kiss you on the lips whenever he had the opportunity to. He’d always go for a tiny peck on your perfect lips, because he just couldn’t resist them. He’d only deepen the kiss when it was appropriate though, just because he thought these intimate moments were meant for you two only.

Harry would kiss you on your neck when he wanted to catch you off-guard. He’d love how you would get goosebumps because of him. You’d inhale harshly, and he just loved to have this effect on you.

Feels like home (to me)

I got this prompt on AO3 by Cuppatea13 : Olicity through Roy’s POV. I actually had already written one but got another idea. It’s a bit sappy :)

There was a time when Roy used to call Oliver and Felicity mom and dad in his head. And maybe a few times out loud with only Diggle as a witness. Which never failed to make the former soldier grin as they exchanged a knowing look.

If he’s being honest with himself, there’s a part of him that still sees them that way. His childhood and teenage years definitely lacked parental guidance. Not to mention love, or even basic affection. As he told Oliver once, meeting him had saved his life and gjven him a purpose.

Meeting Felicity…She had always been so genuinely kind to him, taking care of him and fussing over him when he got hurt…Even if she was only 6 years his senior, she is the closest thing to a maternal figure he has ever known.

Kurt smiled as he walked into the empty house. He set his bags in his room picked up the note that was sitting on the bedside table, left by Burt. “Welcome home kid, come down to the shop when you get home -Dad” He shrugged a bit and locked up again, walking to the shop.

His Dad owned an auto shop a few blocks from their house. He never spent much time there as a kid, much more content to sit at home with his Mom and watch movies or play dress up with her clothes. After she died though, Burt needed someone to watch Kurt after school. When he couldn’t find anyone, Kurt started going to the shop instead. He ended up spending most of his time there, and working once he was old enough to do more than just help out. He’d gone to New York for school the year before, but had come back for summer break since he was living in the dorms. He jogged into the shop, looking around, “Dad?

Don’t think about Karen Peralta hearing about “Santiago” or “Amy” at least once during like 70% of her phone conversations with Jake for YEARS, until one day he called her and told her that they were dating.

Don’t think about Karen Peralta hearing about Sophia, and then hearing about how Sophia broke Jake’s heart.

Don’t think about how Jake probably hasn’t brought anyone home to meet his mom since high school (ie when he didn’t have a choice) because the relationship never got to that level.

Don’t think about how as much as Jake wants to protect Karen, she wants to protect him, too, and how happy she is to see that Jake has found someone who clearly loves him a lot.

Don’t think about how Karen was probably a little nervous to meet Amy because she knew how much Jake cared about Amy.

Don’t think about how Karen definitely knew that Amy was lying about the laxative thing (not at first, but once she realized that Roger was gone, she put two and two together) and she decided in that moment that Amy was a Good One™ and that’s how Amy earned her future mother-in-law’s official approval.

Don’t think about the fact that Amy and Karen were alone in Karen’s house when Jake went to get Roger back. What did they talk about? I hope they got a little less awkward and actually had a nice conversation.

Especially don’t think about Karen and Amy sending each other emails that are mostly exchanging embarrassing stories about Jake, but also sometimes Amy asks Karen for advice, and sometimes Karen just wants to know how Amy and/or Jake is doing.

Don’t think about Karen giving Amy her “something borrowed” when Amy and Jake get married.
