Burushaski = A new Indo-European language??

Given as a new discovery is the theory of I. Čašule that Burushaski is a member of the Indo-European language family, more precisely a descendent of Phrygian (cp. here). The Journal of Indo-European Studies will dedicate a complete issue to this. Of course this theory is not so new as stated here (Čašule wrote already in 2009 a book relating to this: Čašule Ilija: Burushaski as an Indo-European “Kentum” language. Languages of the World 38. Lincom Europa, München 2009) and this theory has been refuted on good grounds, cp. for example the article of Bengtson and Blažek (cp. here).

So in fact: nihil nove sub sole.
