burn village

I don’t know how to explain to goyim that calling out anti-Semitism is not about hurt feelings or crocodile tears and everything to do with the fear of history repeating itself in the form of angry mobs hellbent on attacking Jewish people.

I don’t know how to explain that I am not calling Jay-Z out because I want to silence Black artists; I’m calling him out because I’m genuinely afraid that his false accusation about Jews owning all the property in America will result in people across the nation blaming Jews for the evils of the world and then inciting pogroms (violent mob attacks) against Jewish people.

I don’t know how to explain that I’m not calling out CDM because I don’t care about the liberation of Palestinians; I’m calling them out because I’m worried that if we allow non-Jews to police our beliefs and define for us what our ancient symbols mean, that it could ultimately lead to any displays of public Jewishness being deemed questionable or offensive, which could eventually end in violence against any Jews who are openly Jewish at public events.

I don’t know how to explain to goyim that nearly every Jewish person in the world either grew up with a relative who had to flee their home in the middle of the night because of this type of violence, or they actually experienced this trauma themselves. I don’t know how to tell them that this is an ingrained trauma in almost every existing Jewish family, and that it has been repeated every few generations across the globe since we entered the Diaspora nearly 2,000 years ago.

I don’t know how to explain that when people say almost the exact types of things that were shouted at my relatives by white Russian nationalists as they burned their villages to the ground that it doesn’t matter if you say you’re a progressive or an anti-racist, or you’re also marginalized in some way, because all I hear are the same words people have said to Jews for centuries before physically assaulting them, and I’m worried you’re going to eventually going to assault me, too.

I don’t know how to explain that if goyim read our history they might understand that we Jews have been used as scapegoats for the world’s evils everywhere on the planet from Lithuania to Ethiopia, and that regardless of our standing in society or our level of assimilation, that it’s always ended with our expulsion or murder or both.

I don’t know how to explain that I’m not trying to be petty or “take up space in the movement,” or draw attention away from other causes, but that I’m only asking for you to examine your words and actions now, while I still hope there’s time to pull out the seeds of anti-Semitism that have been planted, because I am literally afraid that if I don’t, you or somebody like you will ultimately be at my doorstep shouting “It’s their fault! Get them! Kill the Jews!”

I don’t know how to explain that I’m afraid you might believe the vitriol behind your words one day enough to kill me.

PSA:

if you play ANY sort of villainous character - from a pick-pocket to a full-scale serial killer - and i follow you, please know that i’ve come into this FULL WELL what i’m signing up for. i don’t expect you to soften your character for me, i’m not going to complain when they aren’t nice to my characters, and i honestly probably love watching them do what they do. not all characters are going to be the “good guys”, or the type of villain that can be redeemed. not everyone has a tragic backstory that makes them do the things they do - some people enjoy it, others just do it because they can, and for some it’s all they know. yes, there are villains with a soft spot or two - this doesn’t mean they need to change everything. our characters become friends/lovers even though my character is a “good guy”? you keep doin’ you. keep stealing those purses, killing those people, burning those villages to the ground.

tl;dr - I DIDN’T FOLLOW YOU BECAUSE I WANTED SOMETHING SOFT AND EASY - you keep bein’ a villain, babe, cause you’re  just as excellent as the heroes.

Most American school children learn that Japan attacked Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941, leading us to join World War II. This week marks the 75th anniversary of Japanese-Americans being subsequently rounded up and interned as suspected enemies of the state. But there’s another tragic and untold story of American citizens who were also interned during the war. I’m a member of the Ahtna tribe of Alaska and I’ve spent the better part of 30 years uncovering and putting together fragments of a story that deserves to be told.

In June 1942, Japan invaded and occupied Kiska and Attu, the westernmost islands of Alaska’s Aleutian Chain, an archipelago of 69 islands stretching some 1,200 miles across the North Pacific Ocean toward Russia’s Kamchatka Peninsula. From a strategic perspective, Japan wanted to close what they perceived as America’s back door to the Far East. For thousands of years, the islands have been inhabited by a resourceful indigenous people called Aleuts. During the Russian-American Period (1733 to 1867), when Alaska was a colonial possession of Russia, Russian fur-seekers decimated Aleut populations through warfare, disease, and slavery.

Shortly after Japan’s invasion, American naval personnel arrived with orders to round up and evacuate Aleuts from the Aleutian Chain and the Pribilof Islands to internment camps almost 2,000 miles away near Juneau. Stewardship of the internment camps would fall under the jurisdiction of the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Services (USF&WS). Furthermore, orders included the burning of the villages to the ground, including their beloved churches, as part of a “scorched earth” policy. The Army’s stated purpose was to protect the Aleuts, who were American citizens, from the dangers of war. But one officer told astonished Aleuts that it was, as he put it, “Because ya’ll look like Japs and we wouldn’t want to shoot you.” That exchange is part of a documentary video called Aleut Evacuation.

Will probably snap your neck if you don’t call him Ore-sama.

Fandom Kanato: Smol screaming child, bipolar, will like you if you make him deserts

Canon Kanato: Neglected sadist, quite possibly with Aspergers, with severe distrust towards other people, bordering on paranoia. Fandom Laito: Macaroon fedora pervert, constant boner, “Bitch-chan~”

Will use your fears to break you.

Fandom Subaru: Angry emo trash but is actually a cinnamon roll. Likes Blink 182, MCR, and punching wall-chan

Fandom Yuma: Giant gardening teddy bear, sugar-chan~ rebellious in a hot way

Canon Yuma: Can and will snap you in half. Beaten by his parents for not praying to God. Watched his parents burn alive and joined a gang, living on the streets. Sold himself as a slave to just to make enough money to survive. Sadistic, perverted, hot headed and can go on a total rampage. Kills you or someone else in almost all of his dark ends.

Fandom Azusa: Sweet masochist cinnamon bun who collects knives, doesn’t say much

Canon Azusa: Extreme masochist and sadist who enjoys self harm and harming others. Cuts you because he “wants you to feel good.” Enjoyed getting beaten as a child. Pain keeps him alive and gives him purpose, borderline suicidal.

(I might do more of these for other fandoms as well~)

And we all talked about the plausibility of assumed misogyny and general inequality in a world without Christianity and 'Original Sin' i.e. Fuck that noise; your home village burned to the ground and every other person you meet wants to kill you, but at least you don't have to deal with that bull shit.

The gnome bard and half-orc warlock (for context they are played by siblings who enjoy trolling the rest of the party on the regular) are the only players still conscious in the dungeon we’ve been trapped in FOR WEEKS  and even short rests always end in tears

Bard: Sooo, we leave them to die?

Warlock: You’re chaotic GOOD

Bard: … GDI

Warlock: Hey, how ‘bout that random magic archway we found that leads to nothing but a storage closet.

This portal turned our knowledge cleric from a male to female, but had no harmful effects.  She reported it was FASCINATING.  The human barbarian immediately began finding excuses to fondle her new assets.

Barbarian’s player: Wait, WHAT?!?!

Bard and Warlock grin wickedly to each other as they drag the barbarian, cleric, and ranger back to the portal.

- Upon waking -

Bard now female:  Sweet, whole new identity.  I can go back and rob all those towns I’m wanted in.

Ranger now female:  I’m an elf, I’ve lived for 300 years as a dude.  I’m ready to mix it up.

Cleric already transformed: FASCINATING, the apparatus seems to provide only a single use to one creature.

Warlock now male: I’m a half-orc in full plate armor, nobody saw me as a woman before anyway.  So this doesn’t really change my identity.

Barbarian now female to the DM: How do I look?

DM: Your life of battle and hard labor is still apparent, your body is heavily muscled and scarred.  You tower over the rest of the party as before. Your armor fits differently, but you judge it is still fit for combat.

Barbarian: But what about my boobs, how are they???

DM: … Uneven.  The left one is bigger than the right.

Jesus Christ.

NPR just told me that Betsy Devos’s response to campus sexual assault is to meet with men’s rights activists.

We were told we would not survive this presidency, but let me know how I can help you.

Fire boy and Ice Ice baby

After a while in the fandom, i was in the mindset of “ Hey but it makes perfect sense for Keith to be fire and Lance to be water
Because they blue and red ahah”

But then,

Actually it’s more than that : listen ;

Because at first, honestly :

Lance’s bright, loud personnality ScrEAms fire to me. A true good Leo. He got the bragging, the look, the style, the lead thingy. He’s a shiny sparkle. He lights the mood and he throws tantrums sometimes.

Keith’s calm, arms crossed while leaning against a wall silent is a Signature™ move for him, he’s rather cold at first. He’s a lonely broody boy. He relies on instinct more than skill, apparently.
And if he’s actually a scorpio it’s bonus round for making Him : WATERBOY.

But then we had “Keith’s a hothead” and some Insecure™ Lance, added to a whole lot of battles.

And while Fighting actually, Keith litterally jumps in the fire. Like, really, litterally, the boy straight dived from a cliff to a burning village. He’s never gonna stop until he runs out of things to punch. He goes for the face. He’s fast, and well… Burns. He’s all emotionnal about fighting, barely thinking before throwing a punch.

On the other hand, Lance’s pretty cool headed while under fire. He sats down and look around, reason differently depending on his teammates, wait and he’s silent as needed. He keeps cool. He’s fluid and doesn’t stop the mission but he never really bursted in them either. He’s what you need to make things flow.

His Bayard’s a long ranged one. More on the protection side, he’s a support. He can reach everywhere, we’ll see this.

Keith’s bayard is a Sword. It progresses little by little, piece by piece, tearing down anything at its fast pace. It’s deadly but only to what touches it, to what encounters it directly. It propagates.
Across a battlefield, Keith is a raging fire propagating.

Have you seen those rainy tragic moments of warzones movies ? Rain’s everywhere. In the ocean, every single person, ally or enemy, has their feet in water.
Water flows. It saves, protects, covers and drown, but everywhere at the same time. Funny how only some kind of rifles-like weapons can relate to this omnypresence and versatility on battlefield ?

So in battle, they meet up fire & ice/water expectations ; ( more under the cut because this is getting long).
