Switzerland. Built in 1946 by the Swiss army, this former military
bunker was converted into a data center in 1993.
built around the remains of tirpitz, an enormous bunker of the atlantic wall, the bjarke ingels group created a museum complex that houses four distinct venues: a bunker museum, an amber museum, a museum of local history and a gallery for temporary exhibitions.
the architecture is sublime and manages to take you on a ride from history to future thats emotional and grounded in the hard reality of the past but conciliatory and contemporary at the same time.
everything is accessible and enjoyable for small children, too. our two two year olds loved to climb the exibits and interact with the multimedia installations.
