yeah, i would describe myself as a content creator, wannabe innovator and market guru. i really like that term, guru. as the late steve jobs once said, “if you aren’t a guru, what are you?” do you know how long i spent memorizing that quote? a really long time because that’s what I care about. I love saying the same stuff that smart people and successful people say because if I parrot them, i get to be them. if i say enough elon musk or warren buffett quotes, i’ll be successful too. that’s what i devote all of my brain power on, being successful. i take a lot of omega 3 supplements so my brain works better. my workout routine reflects my world perspective. “put a little bit of yourself in everything you do” ~ steve jobs. I really only read about and talk about smart, successful people, because that’s how you become rich and good.

The Secret of See’s Candies

Have you ever tried Sees’ Candies? In Los Angeles and San Francisco, plant workers of See’s Candies start arriving each day at 4 a.m.

They stand at their stations and drizzle fondant onto maple pecan bonbons or count the nuts in each almond royal. They spread rum nougat into flat pans or break up chunks of cashew brittle by hand. All the while, they wear the signature white lab coats with their first names embroidered on the front in black stitching.

WHY YOU SHOULD READ 50 BOOKS THIS YEAR (AND HOW TO DO IT)

FROM MARK ZUCKERBERG TO BILL GATES, ALL OF THE MOST SUCCESSFUL LEADERS ARE AVID READERS. HERE’S HOW TO BUILD THE HABIT.

If you want to get ahead in business, sit down and pick up a book. Warren Buffettspends 80% of his day reading. Bill Gates reads for an hour each night before going to bed. And Mark Cuban credits part of his success to the fact that he is willing to read more than anyone else.

“Leaders are readers,” says author and syndicated radio host Dave Ramsey, who reads at least one book a week and gives five of his favorite books to every new team member as part of the onboarding process. “It’s in my DNA to always want to grow as a leader. We want our team to always be learning and growing, too,” he says.

“READING FORCES ME TO STOP THINKING ABOUT MY DAY-TO-DAY LIFE FOR LONG ENOUGH THAT I OFTEN FIND A NEW PERSPECTIVE.”

Business boils down to personal interactions, and exposure to new ideas challenges you and expands your understanding of viewpoints, says Joan Fallon, CEO of the biotech company Curemark, who reads a book a week.
