@buckaroogirl I got to the party late (came from Portland to see you and support Tom), but got to hear you sing a couple songs. Wished I had gotten to meet you, but had my dogs and was stuck on the outside watching towards the end. You did great up on stage from what I heard/ saw :)
Thanks for supporting Tom blasdel! He’s an old family friend, so it was awesome to see the turn out to support him in his recovery!

It is okay to want a man with a deep heart instead of a boy with wandering hands
It is okay to want to wait for the person that makes you calm, not nervous
It is okay to not settle for something halfway - when you want the whole thing
It is okay to want a man, not a boy.
It is okay to make mistakes, try again, and loose hope momentarily.
It is okay to wonder if you will ever find him.
It is okay to admit when you have.
Dear cowgirl, do not settle.
Do not feel guilty for demanding something more than “something”
You are worth waiting for, you are worth EXPECTING.
Dear cowgirl don’t give up, and keep your expectations as big as the dreams you chase 💋
“What do you mean you are JUST a ranch wife and stay at home mom? Don’t you work?”
“Don’t do that! It’s not ladylike!”
“Don’t do that! It’s too confident you’ll intimidate people!”
Hey cowgirl, ever had any of the above said to you?
I always hear it, and you know what! Where it used to bother me-now it makes me giggle.
Because guess what?
It doesn’t matter.
Plain and simple, don’t laugh to yourself-you know you change things you love about yourself sometimes to suit others. It’s not evil, it’s human nature…& as women - we just are a lot more likely to cave.
Please do me a favor though, ok?
I wore false eyelashes to ride Broncs and painted nails to fix fence. I don’t care if that makes me less of what someone thinks of as a cowboy-girl. I am me, I am unique…& so are you!
No matter what your “THING” is, don’t let anyone change you. Don’t let the world change your perfection…that is what makes you YOU! Celebrate it! Embrace it, and ROCK it.
Have a thick skin, but maintain a softness that means you care.
A strong backbone, but don’t forget to bend when YOU are not at stake.
A sense of self worth and love.
No matter what. You matter, whether you be hippie-hunter-cowgirl-congresswoman-CEO or stay at home mom.
Be unique, love your quirks and embrace the “you'ness” of you.
Don’t trade in your authenticity for approval. 💋
My first album #highway80 was all Nevada and Elko county, literally.
I wrote all the songs except one when I was 14 years old and stepped foot for the first time in a recording studio, and when I still here that cowboys relate to and love this album-it makes my heart so happy!
For fun, I’ll be giving away a signed copy of Highway 80 to someone!
All you have to do is LIKE and COMMENT on the picture with why you love the cowboy lifestyle!
