Miranda Lambert Reigns Again in 2015 ACM Awards Nominees

The 50th Academy of Country Music Awards take place this Sunday, for the first time at Dallas’s AT&T Stadium, home of the Dallas Cowboys. This will make this the biggest live awards show audience in awards show history (70,000 people).

With appearances by Garth Brooks, Taylor Swift, Keith Urban, and more, plus returning hosts Blake Shelton and Luke Bryan (the duo affectionately christened “Bluke” on Twitter), it’s going to be a big, big show.

Unsurprisingly, Miranda Lambert continues a nearly decade-long white-hot streak, leading the pack with eight nominations, including one for Entertainer of the Year. Unlike last year however, she won’t be facing off against her husband Blake Shelton for that coveted title – he’s not included in the category.

Who she will be up against in the Entertainer category: Jason Aldean, Florida Georgia Line, Luke Bryan, and Garth Brooks; the latter who currently holds the record for most Entertainer Of The Year wins with six trophies.

Although Shelton was shut out of Entertainer this year, he is a contender for Male Vocalist of the Year.

To celebrate the 50th anniversary of the ACM Awards, the show is leaving Las Vegas and headed to the Cowboys Stadium in Texas this year – giving frontrunner Miranda, who grew up in Lindale, Texas, a little home state advantage! Congrats to all the nominees!
