broke 20 somethings

tfw your final form is gonna be the kooky old woman living on the edge of a town that everyone assumes is a witch and exists solely to feed birds and encourage the youth to rebel and call everyone under age 70 whippersnappers, but you’re currently the broke 20-something with 30k in student debt and back problems.

This, my friends, is the poster child for broke, hungry, and hopeful 20-somethings. I’m eating pasta for breakfast because that’s all the food I have right now. $.89 in the bank.

But I’m working hard, I’m doing what I need to do to get by, and I love living in New York. So I’m not losing hope yet! :D

Also I’ve had coffee and feel very hyper/goofy (hence picture #2)

Finally Debt Free

I still can’t decide if this is something I should be shouting from the rooftops or quietly celebrating because talking about money, especially debt, is a bit of a faux pas.

Even though I can’t decide if its proper, I’m still going to shout it loud and proud- I am finally free of credit card debt for the first time in about 5 years. My determination to pay of my debt has finally succeeded. Living with my parents for the last 9 months and avoiding Saks Fifth Avenue and online sample sales like the plague has finally paid off- literally.

Now if only I could begin to seriously chip away at those student loans….one can dream.

Should I buy myself something nice to celebrate?  ;)
