We had a lovely brunch at @mondoorganics where we enjoyed their take on the the breakfast classic- the savoury mince. Cape grim beef brisket with kataifi pastry, saganaki, topped with two poached eggs that were cooked to perfection. Tender, soft and full of flavour- this meal warmed our hungry bellies and an absolute winner during Brisbane’s winter! 

With seasonal changes to the menu- their dishes always serve the freshest produce! Overall a wholesome feed that has been beautifully prepared and presented! 

Flæskesteg med rødkål

Flashback to the Scandinavian festival where I picked up this delicious roast pork roll. The Danes love their pork- so it was only fitting to feast on one of their most famous Danish roast! Served with tangy red cabbage, the juicy and moist pork and the crispy pork crackling was a fantastic combination- you can’t stop at just one bite!  

Everyone loves smashed avo- and we’re no exception!

We’re a sucker for a good fritter and we were super impressed with the delicious bbq corn, pumpkin and coriander fritters from Chow House .The fritters were massive and the dish was super filling! However we weren’t quite as impressed with the lime chutney. We felt like the sauce was quite bitter and did not complement the fritters well. The redeeming quality of this dish was that there was a generous serve of haloumi- and haloumi always make everything better!

Picked up this super juice this morning from @janpowersfarmersmarkets . It’s been keeping me energised and happy all day! Can’t get enough of the Wednesday markets 

Kicking off brunch with the roast pumpkin and walnut smash from @kettleandtin and it truly satisfied my hungry tummy. Only thing better would have been that extra side of haloumi!!! #alwaysaddhaloumi

Today we successfully battled the crowds and got our hands on a few tasty treats! The guys at @gourmetcalamari have outdone themselves! Their lightly battered salt and pepper calamari melts in your mouth and it left me wanting for more. Plus- they were generous with their portions! And so it begins my love affair with fried calamari ️ #storybridge75

Once again, the @janpowersfarmersmarkets brought in the goodies with this mushroom garden delight from @ilovemushroomandorganics  

Hidden under the fresh salsa is a bed of spinach, couscous, lemon infused avocados and gourmet mushrooms cooked to perfection! A must have for all vegetarians and mushroom enthusiasts!

The braised shallots were delicious and packed full of flavour- definitely give caramelised onions a run for their money! 

The eggs were perfectly poached  and the potato gratin made the dish more substantial and filled my hungry stomach. I couldn’t get enough of the black onion purée, it was sensational and tied up the dish quite nicely I couldn’t help myself, I ordered a side of bacon as well  I’m loving the artistic flare to the dish. 

I can’t wait to come back and try the other unique dishes @goodnessgraciousbne has to offer
