A camping trip out into the boonies near a lake, river and creeks. Somewhere that wont be busy but you can count on meeting a few individuals that you can drink wine, smoke weed and drop lsd with. Bring the bare necessitys and a canoe. Star watch, campfires, listen to the music that plays all day and night. Sit on the dock and let the water and loon calls remind you how beautiful it is to be alive. Swim to the middle of the lake and tread water calmly with your head just above water. The humbling feeling and reminder of how small we are. Look up and see the infinite sky and feel humbled and bewilderment. Connecting with soul and nature.

Do you think hallucinogenic drugs really help open your mind? The Buddha said that to avoid clouding your mind. Don't drugs cloud your mind and keep you from the now? My personal experience with LSD didn't bring much insight and I had a prolonged panic attack. How do you open your mind with drugs?

First, I cringe when people lump everything our govt has deemed illegal under the term ‘drugs’, please look up ‘Entheogens’. Do you know that alcohol, cigarettes, and even coffee are mind altering drugs?
There are many paths to god, spirituality, an open mind, what ever it is you are seeking. Some may take the path of a church pew, some may take the path of a philosophy like Buddhism. And some may take the path of cosmic guides such as mushrooms. There is no right way, there is no one truth.

For me personally, I can say that just 10 years ago I probably would have identified as an atheist, or at the very least agnostic. I was on a path of self destruction in many ways. I thought the world was fucked and so was everyone in it. While mushrooms came into my life as a party experience with friends originally, it evolved into so much more. The self reflection that one experiences alone is worth it’s weight in gold. That being said, they are not for everyone. I like to suggest for anyone interested in doing them to research the hell out of it. Read other peoples experiences. And if they decide to go ahead and try it, to do it with someone you trust, and in a safe place.

I’ll leave you with this, an experience I wrote about 8 years ago the day after having a very intense experience. I hope you enjoy :)
