Request: HIIII, can i request a Sam
Wilson fic where the reader almost dies on a mission and he comforts her?
You didn’t remember it being this cold when the mission
started; it was such a striking change in temperature that it woke you from
unconsciousness in violent shakes throughout your body that made your teeth
chatter. You had been knocked out when
the building crumbled around you, but you had no idea for how long you had been
down, and when you opened your eyes to see where you had landed, everything
around you was black and silent.
Summary: (of this series) As childhood best friends, you and Baekhyun were and are close in every way possible. Except for the fact you unfortunately have feelings for him and he happens to never look at you that way. What happens when he does?
Summary: (of this chapter) Let’s see. Baekhyun’s confusing actions and words are explained. Sangmi is here too :) And…another confession.
WARNING: There’s smut here, so I warn you in advance. If you feel uncomfortable AT ALL, you can legit just skip that part. I won’t be offended at all :) Also, it’s not important, I’m serious, I just wanted smut. It will not impact the story in any way if you don’t read it.
“Mhmm. Is that promise…do you still want to keep it?”
“Why?” he says, dodging your question.
“Because,” you say, pushing back the thought of telling him how you feel. Unable to say anything, he patiently waits in front of you.
“Princess?” he asks.
You think of the promise he made you years ago. So you decide to tell him anyway. “Would you still stay with me if I told you that I love you?”
His face says one thing, but his words say another thing. “Princess,” he whispers. “Don’t-”
“No,” you say, cutting him off. “Don’t you fucking dare not give me a straightforward answer.” you look at his face and already see the answer there.
It’s a mix of several different feelings. Confusion, vexation, anger, and the last emotion you expected to see. Love. But it isn’t the type of love you wanted to see. It’s a love he doesn’t want existing. He loves you, it just so happens he doesn’t want to. But you need to hear it. You need to know for sure that you’re right.
“You do, don’t do?” when he doesn’t answer you and just stares, you repeat yourself. “Baekhyun, you love me, don’t you?”
“Yes,” he says, letting out a breath and blinking rapidly.
You already know what he’s going to say next. He’ll back up his answer. “But?” you say, prompting him.
“But…I don’t want to.”
You knew this was coming, but you just thought he wouldn’t say it for the sake of your feelings. “Why?” but you already know.
“Princess. You know who I am. You can predict my every action and word I’ll say or do next. You should be able to predict this one.” he says jarringly as he opens the lobby doors and walks out.
Ideas for a Warehouse 13/Wynonna Earp fusion that I am definitely for sure never ever writing myself (i mean it this time)
-the earp family is torn apart by an artifact that made wynonna shoot ward and killed willa (idk how let me live)
-wynonna left when she turned 18 and she ran into another artifact and she keeps getting tied up in warehouse 13 cases (at first by accident and later on purpose because she starts seeking it out)
-waverly does all the languages work and ancient cultures and history degrees and starts publishing papers under a fake name
-thats what gets her recruited to the warehouse as a claudia-type person being set up to be a future artie
-dolls is the current artie-type. imagine the claudia and artie dynamic with dolls and waverly. i mean it wouldnt be exactly the same, but
-plus he does enigmatic boss who seems strict and tough but is a secret softie so well. also re: the drug thing in WE he could have some sort of dependence on an artifact like steve did when he died that one time
-and then wynonna gets caught up in one too many cases adn she’s recruited along with detective haught.
-detective haught is a detective but like steve and pete in wh13 she has a “special ability” that makes her stand out even outside of her being very good at her job (even if she does break the rules a fair bit) like she’s a bit of an empath like she’s Excellent at just understanding what people are feeling at any time and connecting with them through that. like, uncannily good at it
-haught and wynonna are like the field agents. and okay at first when they meet each other theres a little tension because haught is like in a nice suit and wynonna is in jeans and a t-shirt and like wynonna thinks haught is going to be uptight like all the other cops shes met (haught does look very by the book) and haught can tell that wynonna doesnt like/respect her at first and resents it. but then they get literally glued together by an artifact and they bond and they come back from their first mission bffs for life
-honestly they make a great team because wynonna inspires haught to improvise and think outside of the box a bit more and haught keeps wynonna from doing anything too wild and they just balance each other out and get along great
-also when wynonna gets there and finds waverly already there shes like “????WTF i though you were in purgatory?” and its hilarious.
-doc is the caretaker. like everyone is always like “is he…..doc holliday?” and its never confirmed or denied but he totally is.
-you have field agent haught bonding with wynonna and falling for the researcher who desperately wants to get out in the field and its all adorable
I have a doctory question: I have chronic depression and I've gone to therapy and I'm on meds but I constantly feel like shit nonetheless. I believe my doctor said I'm at the max antidepressant dosage but I feel like it stopped really helping after about a week. I'm also only 19 which kind of scares me with the possibility of my body becoming tolerant/immune to the meds after a while. Is there anything you'd recommend changing or doing in this situation?
*standard I’m not a doctor and only a third year medical student so work with your PCP on this one* but there are different classes of antidepressants, so maybe bring up with your doc that you’re interested in trying a different brand or even another class since your current therapy is sub-therapeutic. If you’re on an SSRI you can try an SNRI or TCA but theyre prescribed less frequently as they come with potentially more serious side-effects. Similarly, finding a psychiatrist to help as opposed to just your regular PCP may be fruitful to tailor a more wholistic regimen.
“an imagine where 10k finds out that you’re on your period so he’s all cute and cuddly and just super fluffy please”
Warnings: A little bit of fluff.
The same time of the month every month the journey became a lot more intense, even Murphy was quieter than usual, not wanting to wake the beast inside a menstruating Warren. Addy stepped out of the small convenience store with a victorious look on her face as she held up boxes towards the truck. Your eyes lit up at the sight, almost forgetting about the pain. 10K stood behind her carrying both his and Addy’s packs and they looked full to the brim with other boxes and food.
“Tampons? You found tampons. Thank, God.” You sighed. She chucked a box towards you playfully.
April showers bring May flowers… but film’s most infamous shower isn’t a rainstorm, it’s a 78 shot 52 cut murder! Filmmaker, Alexandre Philippe came to the 2017 Sundance Film Festival with his film 78/52 screening in the Midnight section. The film explores the legendary shower scene in Alfred Hitchcock’s 1960 Psycho. Philippe is pictured above, alongside actress Marli Renfro, who was the body double for Janet Leigh in the notorious thrilling shower scene.
“In 78 setups and 52 cuts, the deliriously choreographed two-minute shower sequence in Psycho ripped apart cinema’s definition of horror. With a shocking combination of exploitation and high art, Alfred Hitchcock upended his own acclaimed narrative structure by violently killing off a heroine a third of the way through his film, without explanation, justification, or higher purpose. Psycho played out like a horrific prank, forcing audiences to recognize that even the most banal domestic spaces were now fair game for unspeakable mayhem.
With black-and-white film-geek reverence, director Alexandre O. Philippe breaks down this most notorious and essential scene shot for shot, enlisting the help of film buffs and filmmakers alike—including Guillermo del Toro, Bret Easton Ellis, Karyn Kusama, Eli Roth, and Peter Bogdanovich. 78/52 examines Janet Leigh’s terrified facial expressions and the blink-and-you-miss-it camera work, not just within the context of the film but also with an eye toward America’s changing social mores—revealing how one bloody, chaotic on-screen death killed off chaste cinema and eerily predicted a decade of unprecedented violence and upheaval.” - Harry Vaughn

talesfromcallcenters: Do you think I should do anything?
Call comes in. Did my normal opening spiel.
Pet owner: Hi, I just started noticing that over the last month my pet seems to be having a lot of difficulty in moving. She looks like she is in paid. She is 18 years old and we just came from the hospital last month since she had a bulging disc issue. Do you think I should do anything?
Doctor’s note on account: Made it clear that if the pet should appear to appear to be in pain or have difficulty in moving they should bring back to hospital immediately.
Well doc I guess its not clear enough. I would recommend having drawings the next time you explain something to them.
TLDR: Doc told pet owner to bring pet in right away if they show certain symptom. Pet shows symptoms immediately after surgery and over the last month. Pet owner calls in asking if they should do anything.
Alright, look. I adore mutual pining. But let’s be real. Mart McFly would not be that patient. Doc would, he’d suffer. But Marty, as soon as he figured out what he was feeling would be bringing it up constantly in really not suave ways while Doc tried to be a good person and ignore his advances
“hey, Doc, what type of guy are you into again?”
“Uh, Doc, I just want to let you know I’m down for all kinds of experimentation”
“Doc look, I really dig that shirt on you would you mind taking it off so I can see what size it is?”
And it would be immediately obvious and he would not be able to let it go until one day he was just like “listen, Doc, I’ve got the hots for you”
And Doc would just be like “I know, you’re so god damn obvious about istg”
This boy has no chill.
