Pan-Fried Pizza

Brian made us both a midnight snack the other night. He transformed an ordinary slice of delivery pizza (hey, we do that sometimes!) into something other-worldy! He pan-fried it in a cast-iron skillet, which made it the crispiest pizza I have ever had. Also he sprinkled it with some red pepper flakes for spice, and topped it with a fried egg and grated parmesan. Ugh…

Too good.

If you don’t follow his blog you should probably do that because he is a wonder-chef!

Oh! I passed the wines final! Now I move into the restaurants. I’ll be graduating in December! Can you believe it? But don’t worry, I’m not going anywhere. Shesalty is here to stay!

Thanks to Brian!

As most of you know, I am heartsick that my culinary BFF is gone. So one night I made this dish off of his blog (a blog that you should check out if you haven’t– You can find the recipe for this there!

What you are drooling over know is a Pan-Fried Parmesan Chicken Cutlet with Arugula Salad, 2-Hour Slow Roasted Tomatoes, White Beans, and Garlic Toasted Bread. It was out of this world!

I am going to one of the best new restaurants in Minneapolis tomorrow.

I. Can’t. WAIT!!!

Have a great day! Eat well. :D

Brianthony did it again!

If you are following me and like me, chances are you will like my awesome roommate, Brian. Please follow his blog at Do it! He is an awesome writer, great food photographer, and is all around one of the coolest people I’ve ever met. He made this dinner last week while I acted as the food paparazzi. Enjoy the goodness!

He seasoned the chicken with salt and black pepper first.

He rendered down some bacon…and also made a garlic crostini by pan-frying the bread in pure bacon fat. This guy really knows how to do it.

Then he used his glorious grill pan to sear the chicken with some sage.

He sauteed some perfectly tender broccoli with the bacon and sauteed garlic,

Sliced the chicken,

sauteed everything with some fresh basil chiffonade, cherry tomatoes, rigatoni,

A touch of butter and a splash of heavy cream (oh and the rest of the bacon fat),

Which turned into this:

A de-LICIOUS and satisfying pasta dish that my stomach is currently growling over.
