About Mick reminding the team that they aren’t as goody two shoes as they like to pretend and them believing they're heroes despite what they say in the intro... As the second season went on with that opening, it felt like they were trying to elevate themselves above normal heroes.

Hahahah yeaaaahhhh…. Mick’s opening was a breath of fresh air because of how tongue-in-cheek it was.

They really aren’t quite heroes and need to embrace that more? That they’re the temporal screw ups. Someone mentioned that they need to embrace their “Guardians of the Galaxy” vibe and I agree? Just misfits trying to save the day their own way because no one else seems to be doing it? It’s more accurate than saying they’re “not killers” or putting them down as “white hats” really.

Embrace the moral grey, embrace it.

i don’t know how i feel about the fact that s2 had more lena-centric episodes at this point than james, and that maggie sure doesn’t feel like someone who has a regular cast member credit to her name compared.

of course, the main problem overall is that mon-el took up most of that screentime and narrative this season in the first place, and in that perspective this episode was still very much a breath of fresh air. i also like lena. i just wish the show did better with its regulars so i could be enjoying her storylines much more.

i also wish we would’ve switched the minimal screentime mon-el got to ALEX, who i thought was supposed to be the secondary lead of this show, but maybe i was wrong.

“… I wonder if they’ll still have tickets for Lyon…”

Franck sighed as they walked around the outside of the mansion, the grounds laid bare for the winter and watched over by the guards stationed nearby. It was far too early for breakfast, and Franck was sure that most people weren’t even awake, judging by how dark the windows were. They’d only had permission to breathe some fresh air, because the immediate surroundings were open ground with nowhere else to go to; the fact that Franck had nothing on them save for the clothes on their back helped too, possibly.

They had the impression that the new France was in possession of many such buildings, mansions or houses or otherwise, for any employees, governmental workers, and officials to stop by whenever they wanted. Franck thought that was fair enough, but marveled that those places were so ordinary and unmarked; if they’d never stopped by here, or at the house that Xavier had hid out in during Franck’s trip to Belgium, they’d never have guessed that some of the most important people of the country could be collected in such places. This mansion was a good one, but compared to some within Paris - or even all over France, dotted around the countryside - its exterior was a mere pittance, certainly not a place Franck would have attributed to the President himself. They had to wonder then how many other seemingly-normal places around Paris had been made hideouts, but then the thought became too disturbing, so Franck had to quit it. It was just too early to angst about surveillance.

A faint rustle sounded from the hedge. Too small to be a person.
Wary still, Franck tiptoed over to see what it was. A small woodpigeon, perhaps only days fully-fledged at this point, was caught in among the brambles. “Now what are earth are you doing there?” Franck exclaimed as they reached in to pull it free from the bushes, but the bird resisted, thrashing about with its small claws spread out. “Hang on, I’m trying to get you out - god damn it -”

“What’s going on?”

Now that was something that made them jump, if nothing else. Franck hadn’t even been afforded the time to look around before Sebastian approached to gaze at the still-struggling bird, then back down at them, his elegant eyebrow raised in question. “It’s, uh,” Franck murmured, feeling very small all of a sudden, though much to their credit they didn’t just let go of the woodpigeon to work itself further into the brambles. “it’s caught in there… I’m just…”

Sebastian needed no further explanation. He said nothing, but reached in with his gloved hands to help, gently holding the bird across its shoulders and wings while Franck loosened a twig from in between its feathers, soon untangling its feet from the small branches so that they could pull it free. “It will need examining, Franck, will you be able to do it?”

“I’m sure.”

The President let go of the bird. The woodpigeon struggled something awful in Franck’s hands, shedding feathers everywhere as they pulled its wings open gently, looking for any marks or injuries; nothing at all. It wasn’t hurt, just a little dazed and increasingly more incensed that it was captured in Franck’s hands. ”You’re good, I think,” they said, and moved away from the bushes, raising the bird up high. “there! Off you go.”

Franck threw the bird into the air. It took strong flight and was out of sight within seconds, still trailing small feathers as it went.
They watched it for a while. Sebastian remained silent for all of this, and even when Franck finally looked around to give their thanks, his countenance was remarkably still and distant. Most bizarre.

… I wonder if something happened?

As a rule, Franck was nervous whenever Sebastian was nearby, with the President’s actions determining whether the emotion would persist - sometimes he did nothing but terrify Franck for seemingly no good reason whatsoever, but sometimes he demonstrated concern and gentleness that they simply couldn’t disregard. This was one of the latter times. Sebastian taking time out of his day to save a mere bird with his subordinate was already out of character as it was; looking at him, so far away and lost in his own thoughts, was yet another thing. “Sebastian?” Franck asked quietly, and when the man turned again to look at them, offered a little smile. “Thank you.”

Sebastian gazed at Franck for a few more seconds, then trailed his blue gaze towards the bushes again, brushing his hand over the hedge. “… I will need this trimmed,” he spoke after what seemed like an age, withdrawing his hand to peer down at his palm. “… it was good of you to help the bird, by the way. We see something like that quite often at the Élysée, when the roses bloom - yes, we must protect the helpless, indeed.”

Then he was silent again. Franck waited to see if there was more, but nothing more in the way of explanations came. They were just about to ask whether Sebastian had slept well (out of a lack of anything else to talk about) when the man sighed and took off the military coat that he was wearing, draping it carefully around Franck’s thin-shirted shoulders.

“You shiver,” he said, brushing the other’s hair back. “let us withdraw.”

Then he began to walk away towards the mansion. Franck gazed after him. Sebastian’s warmth soaked in around their back, down to their arms, bringing forth a small twinge where the veins stood out.

It would be amazing to see a healthy, drama-free relationship on SKAM, while other shit is going down with the main. I would be so here for it, since I do get tired of relationship drama sometimes, so it'd be a fresh breath of air.

HELLOOOOOOOOO ANON!

HELL YEAH! I would love that! Relationship drama can get very tiring  and it’s long overdue for Skam to have a slightly less stressful relationship on the show!!!!

Stop what you are doing. Go outside and breathe. The world will not end if you take ten minutes for yourself.

it really bothers me that people think that once you’re away from the abuse, you’ll instantly start recovering. in the times i had spent away from abuse, i had more panic attacks than i’d ever had before. that was because i was in a safer place to experience the feelings i’d repressed my entire childhood. it, unfortunately, really really doesn’t just stop or get better when you’re out.

yousef is just such a breath of fresh air because as viewers we’ve been feeling like sana is not getting the appreciation she deserves. we look at this amazing girl and we’re thinking that anyone would be in awe of her, because we are. seeing her interactions with yousef is lovely because, yes, they are adorable and precious, but also because since we can’t actually be part of the skam world and tell how great she is, it feels so incredibly nice to see someone as goodhearted as yousef truly appreciate her and truly see and notice how wonderful she is and always be so kind and loving to her

Not to bring up the discourse again, but…

Katie McGrath is my actual queen. I don’t think some people understand how important what Katie said probably is. For months there have been people saying that “Supercorp isn’t real!” and “It’s just a crackship!” and “You’re silly for seeing a relationship between Kara/Lena!” and “They’re not gay! Lena isn’t gay!” No one on the show has really, explicitly talked about Supercorp (as far as I remember. I could be wrong. I don’t follow all of the actors). They’ve talked about Kara and Lena’s relationship, but Supercorp has always mostly been ignored. And for Katie, as a member of the cast and one of the two actresses involved in ship itself even, to come out (so to speak) and say that we’re valid for what we ship and that she sees it too is so fucking amazing to me.

To hear validation, explicitly, about Supercorp not being a crackship and being entirely valid from one of the cast is so fucking nice. It’s such a breath of fresh air from the toxicity and hatred flying around the fandom right now.

So all the Katie haters out there, come fucking at me. Because I will defend this perfect woman with my life until the bitter end.

Awesome underated comedy/slice of life to whatch

I have to say it I wasn’t that much fan of comedy as a genre since I love tragedy and sad anime mores but once in a while we all need a good anime to make us laugh loudly:D. I became a fan of the genre after watching gintama I guess but I wanted to share some others anime that made me literally cry for the too much laugh.

1.

Tanaka-kun wa Itsumo Kedaruge

I literally fell in love with the anime. The comedy is great, the characters are awesome and special in their own way. And oh tanaka, his seiyuu (ono kensho) was awesome as always, no need to say he is one of my most favorites ever lol.

Synopsis

For high school student Tanaka, the act of being listless is a way of life. Known for his inattentiveness and ability to fall asleep anywhere, Tanaka prays that each day will be as uneventful as the last, seeking to preserve his lazy lifestyle however he can by avoiding situations that require him to exert himself. Along with his dependable friend Oota who helps him with tasks he is unable to accomplish, the lethargic teenager constantly deals with events that prevent him from experiencing the quiet and peaceful days he longs for.

You only need tanaka as a reason tho , he is the real Mvp, I’m quite fond of him

2.

Hoozuki no Reitetsu

Meet hoozuki one of the most badass characters I’ve seen in anime. This was such  a fresh breath of air. I mean, how often do you see the king of hell being treated like a little punk Lmao. And they announced it will have a second season yay

Synopsis

Hell is a bureaucracy, and business is running smoother than ever thanks to the demonic efficiency of Hoozuki, chief deputy to Lord Enma, the King of Hell. Whether offering counsel to the Momotarou of Japanese folklore or receiving diplomatic missions from the Judeo-Christian Hell, the demon who runs the show from behind the king’s imposing shadow is ready to beat down any challenges coming his way into a bloody pulp. Metaphorically, of course… The poster boy for micromanagement and armed with negotiation skills worthy of Wall Street, Hoozuki no Reitetsu follows the sadistic and level-headed Hoozuki as he spends his days troubleshooting hell. With an abundance of familiar faces from popular Japanese legends and East Asian mythology working middle management positions, this referential and anachronistic dark comedy brings new meaning to the phrase “employer liability.” Just how hard could it be to manage employees from hell, anyway? [Written by MAL Rewrite]

For the fans of tonari no kaibutsu kun, they also made an apparence in hoozuki

Watch it if you’re searching for:

  • Badass yet not overpowered as fuck characters
  • For the great comedy
  • Watch it if you’re interested in the japanese folklore
  • The lovely and refreshing artstyle
  • Watch it for those two Lmao, You will laugh until your stomach hurts, I garantee that

But it was a story of the past where Kokkuri-san was able to answer any question you had. Nowadays, it relies on a certain search engine, but is actually bad at anything digital. He was going to possess Kohina, but got worried about her living all alone and devotes himself to do chores as if he was her mother. On top of that, the dog ghost Inugami who is infatuated with Kohina and the old good-for-nothing supernatural raccoon dog Shigaraki decide to root themselves with her as well!
