Granite State (5.15) – Saul wears white
Saul Goodman is one of the more colorful characters in the show (yes, that’s a pun) so the fact that the last time we see him he’s wearing white is as heartbreaking as it is meaningful.
At this point, Saul is no longer the same joker. He gives Walt very serious (and very good) advice – the last advice he’ll probably ever give as a lawyer, seeing as he’ll be managing a Cinnabon in Omaha in a few more months. His personality (shown in his colorful clothes and ties) has been erased, as well as his identity. This is Saul Goodman we’re talking about and he’s saying things like, “I don’t know any hitmen.”
He no longer gets to be a lawyer, and the funny thing about Saul is he’s a damn good lawyer.
