above the play track, youll see a section that says loop, with 2 boxes, one that says Start = ##### and End = #####
This part is a little bit tricky to newcomers, but its pretty easy to understand after a few tries. Next to the numbers, youll see
< -That clickable box on the far rightright is the most important one. This is what determines your loop points. So what youll want to do, is listen to the song entirely, and find areas where you’ll be able to loop a section back into another. Once you find the parts you want to loop, click the box, and the number value will change. thats normal.
After finding and selecting the loop points, youll have something like this
Green means, itll play the selected area through once, and start again at the yellow point once it reaches the red point. Orange means that part will not be played. I recommend listening to it at least once or twice all the way through (loop included) so that you can try and adjust it if needed. Once youre done, hit okay.
Once its done encoding, you’ll have this.
You can also use this section to play through the song as if it were playing in game. Hit File->Save as
BE SURE TO SELECT THE FILE TYPE AS BRSTM FROM THE SAVE AS TYPE WINDOW. IF YOU DON’T ITLL SAVE AS A WAV, AND YOULL HAVE TO START ALL OVER AGAIN.
drop it in the STRM folder (in the case of project m, the file path is projectm\pf\sound\strm, same for brawl and other mods except it would be private\wii\app\RSB(x)\pf\sound\strm), and you’re set!
Sometimes the song will come out staticy in game. To fix this, defrag your sd card, or backup restore and copy everything back, OR something went wrong with the original music file you used, possibly faulty rip from the original uploader or something.
Once you get used to the process in this guide, you can bust out music in 5 minutes! Good luck!
