Fangirls, remember the absolutely lovely folks from High Fructose Zombies? Well the artist, Sarah Braly, told me that her fantastic toys, Zombfectionaries, are being featured in P!Q at Grand Central Terminal.
Hey Fangirls! A couple weeks back I was lucky enough to go to Special Edition: NYC and meet some absolutely lovely independent creators. I think independent creators are some of the most amazing and inspiring people on the planet. They make what they love, and to me, that’s beautiful. Two of the individuals I met at SE:NYC were David Phillips and Sarah Braly. Let me tell you, Fangirls, these…
Here are some print shots I took from tonight’s Annie Awards. It was cool to see Craig McCracken win for Best Animated Children’s TV Production for Wander Over Yonder. It was something I was not expecting but good for him because he’s awesome.
Also the talented Kristen Schaal won for Best Voice-Over Performance in an Animated TV Production. It was for Louise from Bob’s Burgers. Another perfect 10 in my book.
Also Gravity Falls won one more Annie before it officially ends on President’s Day with Matt Braly winning Best Directing for a Animated TV Production. It was for the episode Northwest Mansion Noir. Another thing to say yay to.
Also, Inside Out won every award that was animated feature based (including Best Animated Feature) except for Pixar’s other 2015 film the Good Dinosaur which won one award and Neither film was included for Best Animated Independent Feature. It just shows how the people behind the Annies are crazy for Disney and Pixar.
While I’m a little disappointed that NWHS didn’t win any awards (that episode was and still is the greatest thing I’ve ever watched), I am so happy for Matt Braly for winning! He deserved it. Northwest Mansion Mystery was an amazing episode, and definitely deserving.
