Dalia Grybauskaitė (b. 1956) is the current president of Lithuania, the first female president and the first president to be re-elected for a consecutive term. She also served as Minister of Finance and Vice-Minister of Foreign Affairs in the country.
Before becoming president, she was in charge of the EU budget, and shifted expenses so that for the first time the highest share was spent on growth and employment. She has been critical of human rights violations in Russia, being one of the world leaders who boycotted the Sochi Winter Games on these grounds. She is the recipient of several national and international awards.
