Could you please point me to some Autistic owned stim stores? Thanks!
Sure! Please note, though, that unless otherwise specified, these stores are based in the US. For those willing to shop from neurodivergent-owned businesses (as distinct from specifically autistic) there’s a little more choice. If you’re not in the US, you’re very likely going to have to pay extra in conversion and shipping costs (which is why I don’t use ND-owned as a basis for what content goes on this blog, as cool as it is to support fellow autistic and ND creators).
If you’re an autistic crafter and you’re not on this list, it’s either because I haven’t yet heard of you, I’ve committed the terrible crime of forgetting you or I’m unsure if you’re autistic (as per the brief). Please comment; I will add your name and details!
I’m pretty sure most folks have heard of Stimtastic by now (@stimtastic), but on the off chance someone hasn’t, I’ll mention it! I don’t believe anyone has had any negative experiences with their order; the linked Tumblr is packed full of happy customers saying great things. There’s everything from fidget toys to chewables! I love my braid pendant, scented vial necklace and - while I didn’t buy it from Stimtastic because I found it here in Australia - crocheted stress balls. @werevampiwolf makes their bead rings!
@yuuriandviktorkatsuki runs UK-based Etsy store Chloe G Crafts, where she currently stocks handmade bead bracelets and soft crochet bracelets, and will stock fidgety things made from split rings.
If you know more autistic-owned places to buy great toys, please let us know by commenting on this post or sending in an ask. Tumblr has stopped showing the notes in all reblogs, and we now get traffic enough that I (mod K.A.) don’t have the spoons to click on every reblog to see if there’s been an addition. We can’t miss comments, so you’ll help us a lot by commenting. Thank you!
A Glamour spell to aid in concealment in situations the user would like to go unnoticed due to safety and protection purposes. This especially works well at night for when walking home.
You will Need:
Small vial or bottle charm with cork
dropper (makes it easier)
Gray ribbon, string or yarn
Add your water to the vial, though be sure to leave room to add in your ink.
Add 1-4 drops of black ink into vial
Cork it tightly
Swirl bottle clockwise focusing on the ink mixing with the water inside it. Envision black shadows swirling about the bottle, concealing it from your view, leaving it in a hazy black fog of swirling shadows.
“Blackness please become my veil, keep me hidden without fail. Let me pass by like a shadow of the night, Until I return home to the safety of light.”
Tie gray ribbon/string around bottle so it can be worn around the neck
Wear it when you are in need of concealment.
Cleanse in the moonlight and night air; recharge via swirling the contents of bottle and visulization
[image description: four photos depicting examples of the prizes. The
first photo is a group of seven small glass bottles, each filled with a
different color of glitter, and topped with a cork, lined up on a dark
wood table with a purple curtain backdrop. The second photo is of a
black nylon cord with three round silicone beads in purple, teal, and
green stung on it, displayed against plain notebook paper. The third
photo is of a glass bottle pendant filled with pale colored sand-like
material. The bottle is topped with a cork and wrapped with copper wire
which is attached to a chain. In the left half of the image, the bottle
is shown in the light against a dark purple background. In the right
half of the image, the bottle is shown again in the dark, with the sand
glowing a pale teal. The fourth photo is of 20 different colors of
silicone beads displayed in a pair of clear plastic trays with rounded
indents in them, against a dark wood background.]
150 Followers Give/away!
To celebrate Neurodelightful reaching 150 followers, we will be having our first give/away! I want to thank those that have brought me to this point, as well as give those a chance that can’t afford stim toys a chance to get something for free. In return, I get a little bit of feedback so that I can make the shop even better!
There will be ways to win for both current followers AND new followers! Check below the break for more info:
Our biggest show of the year is in a month and I’ve decided that I’m going to make potion bottle pendants. Because there’s a HUGE overlap between anime nerds and gamer nerds, I made some mana potions.
I was thinking about doing health potions as well, but I don’t know if they’ll be as popular. Like… maybe I should make less and see if they take? Also, I haven’t done much gaming in awhile, so if there are any potion-y themed game items you wanna suggest, I’m all ears.
Ever wanted to own a Axolotl but couldn’t care for or buy one? Well here’s your best solution! These little critters were hand sculpted with sculpy and clear resin cased into a convenient bottle! Bottles are a little short of 2inches tall and come with a 22inch cord shown above!
