boston style

Our girl Micah is looking uber-fierce in her rad femme get-up! I love the way she pairs her Grey Sk8-Hi Slims with a vintage handbag and oversized camo jacket (a major trend for this fall!). How do you rock your Sk8-Hi’s? -brittany

The Boston Calling music festival happened over the weekend, and we spotted some cute style!  Boston’s really stepping their game up with boho-inspired outfits… and of course, throwing some Vans in the mix always makes it more awesome.  Check back later today for some more style shots! -alyson

*purple brocade*

hi everyone! i really didn’t *mean* to have so much purple in my outfit today! my hair nowadays is enough of a “pop of color” so to go purple head to (almost) toe was kind of much even for me…hahaha :) however, i was running late to attend an afternoon banquet & this was the only dress in my whole stupid closet that i was even mildly happy with. we’ve all been there, right ladies? then i thought, well, if you’re going to go full-on purple, just go ahead & commit ^_^

Since I was little I’ve always been into doing things on my own. From insisting on tying my own shoes (when I actually didn’t know how), to making my own clothes, I’ve always been a firm believer in the DIY method. With that being said, I’m pretty stoked on the awesome Vans Customs Shop where you can design your own shoes. I had way too much fun mixing and matching patterns and colors, and was hardly able to settle on just ONE design. In the end I chose a design that perfectly embodies my taste & style: bold animal print and a good color-block. Now my hair can match my shoes! -brittany

*goodwill hunting*

so, the other day i was in goodwill dropping off some donations & decided to shop around for a bit too. i found this GREAT coat & even though i had already bought about 5 coats this past winter, i couldn’t pass this one up…pristine, looked brand new & only $15!

it has a lot of fun details like a ruffled collar & balloon skirt bottom which you know is one of my favorite skirt shapes :) it’s also water resistant & more like a spring trench coat which will be great since this is like the 3rd rainy day in a row :( well, you know what they say about april showers & may flowers. in any case, once again, goodwill never disappoints :)

wearing: laundry by shelli segal beige coat || phillip lim x target shirt dress || wet seal leggings || alexander wang x h&m ankle boots>

With the sticky summer heat bathing the city, I find myself wishing for cooler fall days. So till then, I’ll turn the air conditioning on, put on my favorite plaids and sweaters, and pretend like it’s October. -brittany

Outfit Details: Love Vans Pullover //  Skinny Denim in Grey // Plaid Deana backpack // Leopard Sk8-Hi Wedges

*purple reign*

happy opening day, boston! just kidding! i’m so not a red sox fan. in fact, i stay faaaaar away from fenway park when there’s a home game, but i’m sure all the fans are out there enjoying the game & the fine weather we’re having :)

anywho, i’m just wearing old clothes as monday is my cleaning house & running errands day, so nothing thrilling, but obviously the newest thing about me is my NEW PURPLE HAIR! yup, finally took the color plunge & i just love it! there will be more changes over the coming weeks as i’m doing the color gradually so as not to damage my hair. stay tuned!

Found this super babe walking around the Boston Commons, and looking absolutely perfect in her Sk8-hi’s! Who WOULDN’T track down this girl for a photo? She’s wearing 3 of my favorite things: a Harley Davidson tee, leopard print, and Vans. I’m in love. -brittany
