boston street style

Meet Jenny, the lead singer and killer babe behind indie-band Dirty Dishes. This girl has been making some noise in the Boston scene for the last decade, but has transplanted herself into my hometown, Los Angeles! I fell in love with this girl’s music and obvious shared taste in style fairly recently (she’s killing it in those red Authentics), and totally felt the need to introduce you all to her pure AWESOMENESS. Check out why you need to know about Jenny, and her band Dirty Dishes. -brittany

Found this super babe walking around the Boston Commons, and looking absolutely perfect in her Sk8-hi’s! Who WOULDN’T track down this girl for a photo? She’s wearing 3 of my favorite things: a Harley Davidson tee, leopard print, and Vans. I’m in love. -brittany

The ankle boots/shorts combo is a look that we have been seeing a lot of lately. But there is definitely a reason that we were drawn to his interpretation. He rocked it! It’s hard to pull off and he does it very well. The shorts are just the right length and the boots have great studded detailing. In fact, every detail in his look seems carefully considered, all the down to that tiny flower pin on his left breast pocket.

Only a few days left of being 23, and I’m already feeling quite old. You see, I have a love/hate relationship with birthdays. I love that I have a day dedicated to me entering this world but I sort of HATE the fact that each year I get closer and closer to being old. You may argue that 24 is not old, however, I only have 6 more years of my twenties… come argue with me some more.

Even though her pants have such a bold pattern she doesn’t shy away from a patterned top. The black and white polka dots with the black blazer work as a nice pairing to the bright and chaotic flowers of the pants. Also love those shoes! I think we are going to be seeing a lot of those this Fall.

These last few days hanging out with Amanda, Alyson, and Leila Hurst have been way too cool for words. Not only did I get to share in awkward conversation with people who have an equally weird sense of humor as myself, but I also found a group of girls who also share my love for really great people watching. We came across so many stylish gems at Boston Calling on the 2nd day, and I am so eager and inspired to try out these trends for myself. What’s your favorite look?  -brittany
