After what felt like a week of waiting (it was only 4 days, but I’m really impatient), I got my first Bullet Journal last night!!
In honor of this moment, I thought I’d share my organization with all (14) of you! Most of these ideas were borrowed from Pinterest, but I found some ways to individualize!
I bought an A5 Rhodia Webnotebook (Dot Grid) on Amazon for around $17(??) dollars. The reason why I was willing to spend so much was because I couldn’t obtain a cheap notebook that would be able to do everything I needed it to do. The Rhodia webnotebooks come with a small pocket in the back like Moleskines and Leuchtturms do, but I haven’t found a good reason to use this feature yet.
I started my notebook like most; Title page, Index, and then a yearly calendar. From there I added my ‘Important Dates’ page with all of the Holidays and birthdays I need to remember. Notice I *starred* birthdays specifically.
The next page consisted of my monthly spread for July 2016, where I listed all of the days of the month and wrote in any events or birthdays i needed to keep track of. As you can see, my older sister is coming into town on the 23rd, and staying until the 1st of August!
The following page includes my scholastic and personal goals for July 2016. I will refer back to this page when preparing my weekly and daily spreads.
The next page is my weekly overview for 7.10-7.16. I included all of the things I desire to get done this week, an inspirational quote, and a habit tracker. I got the general layout idea from @eileenisstudying (THANK YOU!!!!)
I forgot to put a key on my first page, so I decided to lay one down before I started my daily spread. The key is pretty self-explanatory, and most people with bullet journals follow this key or something really similar. To make this key, I just used some old construction paper I found in my closet.
My next page is my daily spread, and you can see I’ve already laid out today’s plan! Again, @eileenisstudying, thank you for the idea!!!
Thank you to everyone for giving me ideas for my very first BuJo!!
“Nothing”, Sakura told him as she wiped a tear from her eye. “It’s just, we become so far, and we’ve been through so much…I didn’t think we’d still be here, being able to watch this sun set together.”
“Believe me Sakura, we’re gonna be together forever”, Naruto told her.
Sakura looked up to her blonde teammate. He gave her that toothy fox grin he always saved just for her. As small chuckle escaped his throat, making Sakura smile and chuckle herself.
The kunoichi wiped away her last tear, “Thank you Naruto…For everything.”
Sakura and Naruto returned to viewing the sunset before them. It was okay that the sun was setting over this horizon. Because they both knew the sun would rise in another horizon. It would still be the same sun, hanging over the same heaven and earth they were bound to. And no one would change that, no matter what they said.
Sakura gave Naruto’s hand a light squeeze. They had been holding hands this entire time, not letting go once. They didn’t ever want to let each other go. Not when the sun set, not when the sun rose. They would still be with each other until the sun stopped rising over their heaven and earth.
(Today is labeled as Narusaku day. I was working on another Naruto and Sakura one shot. However, I’m sad to I still haven’t finished it yet. I didn’t want to leave anyone hanging today, especially be Naruto and Sakura. So, I made this. I borrowed the picture from Pinterest, but I can’t trace or back to where it’s from. So I just wanna clear that up. Anyways, I hope you’re all having a hood day. Take care everyone, and ship what you love no matter what.)
When Welcome To Night Vale announced their 2015 live tour and that they would be in Washington DC, I immediately knew I wanted to stitch him a deer for his collection. It took a month and a half, stitching every lunch at work and every free moment I had in the evenings and on weekends, but I did it!
The two different deer patterns were borrowed from Pinterest (and I sadly did not save the links). I decided to change the larger deer to different shades of purple since that is Night Vale’s color. I’m especially pleased with the eyes being the lightest color; thought it made it pop a bit more.
Sadly Joseph Fink himself did not come out after the show but I was able to give it to the Proverb Lady/Joseph’s girlfriend, Meg Bashwiner. When I said that I had something for her to give to him, she immediately said, ‘Is it a deer?’ And she was so excited to see the deer! She said they never had an embroidered deer before and she was very impressed that I had done it for them. She told me she’s actually the one who organizes all the deer in their apartment and she would get it safely back home.
Even if I couldn’t put it in the hands of Joseph Fink himself, I’m so glad I did it! It was one of the more complicated projects I’ve ever tried (OMG never doing flowers ever again!) but the reaction of Meg Bashwiner was perfect. I hope they enjoy the deer!
