Excited for the final day of the Masters! Raising a glass of white Bordeaux to all those golfers! Lemon, grass, green pepper, celery, and apple on the nose with a whiff of waxiness. Vegetal on the palate with green pepper and a salted lemon finish. Full mouthfeel from the Sémillon grape paired with nice, fresh acidity. #canibeyourcaddy
Oh boy - Sauternes with some yummy chocolate cake! Fresh and dried apricots on the nose with white and yellow peaches, honey, sage, candied lemon peel, and apples. Loads of dried apricots, peaches in white wine, honeysuckle, and apples on the palate. Reminds me a lot of Noval Black in that it is a price-conscious way to explore the category to see if you like it! Sauternes can get extremely expensive so this is a nice way to test the region on your palate or to enjoy on a weeknight!
I finished my mint julep so I’m cheering on the horsies with some quality juice! Wow. Cassis. Black plum. Mushroom. Tobacco. Bourbon vanilla. Orange blossom. Fresh ground pepper. Cocoa nibs. Jerky and charcuterie. Makes me want to get grillin’! DELICIOUS.
