Chapter: 4/? Word Count: 19k Rate: Teen and Up Audience
Excerpt from the Prologue:
Magnus: “As a time traveler, Alec visited him in different eras of his life and yet time itself never distorted. Time obeyed in his presence. When he would eventually vanish back to his present, Magnus would discover new interests, spells, and pleasures in his absence until the next time they meet and time fixes itself again.
The ultimate curse of immortality: being left behind.” ____
Alec: “It’s agony being anywhere Magnus was not. Being immortal means having been abandoned by loved ones more times than he deserved and yet he would still choose Alec.
Time travel is cruel that way. Always going where Magnus can’t follow.”

Summary: “For $200, Alec has to kiss a boy !” shouted Lily before raising her glass of vodka.

He didn’t want to kiss a stranger, the only people whom he thought about were Jace and Magnus. His choice was quickly made, Jace was straight and had Clary whereas Magnus had no one.
Alec hoped he wouldn’t mind a little kiss.
For $200, he motivated himself before standing up under the encouraging and alcoholic cries of his friends.

Sometimes babies cry for no reason, just to get attention or to test out their new voice.
‘Helpful.’ Patryk thought, throwing the book in the bin as he held Tord against his chest while the baby cried, who, until up to this point, he had been the quietest baby he’d ever seen.
He was a strange baby who ate food without argument and didn’t really play with his toys, so for him to suddenly begin crying made Patryk worry.
He’d been trying every single thing to get the boy to stop, short of Paul’s suggestion of whiskey on his dummy, and they’d been up since 6am, it was now 3pm and the baby was still crying.
“Oh baby, what’s wrong?” He let out a heaving sigh as he switched shoulders and began to bounce the baby against his chest.
He was running out of ideas, and at this point even Paul’s stupid suggestion was beginning to sound logical, if not for Tord, then for him, he shook the thought away quickly, he’d been sober for years now, and no six month old was going to end it!
He began to hum as he bounced him, at first quietly, until suddenly he was singing very softly, it wasn’t a special song, and Patryk was no Cher, but he noticed that Tord’s ear shattering cries had died down just the slightest, so he kept it up.
“Twinkle twinkle little star, how I wonder what you are.” He kissed his baby’s forehead and noticed the infant’s face was almost dripping with snot, tears and drool.
“Oh, Tordy bear, you’re such a mucky pup.” He chuckled to himself and moved his index finger to wipe away his tears, the baby took his finger into his chubby hand and examined it at first, before opening his mouth and shoving the digit inside.
‘No problem.’ Thought Patryk, until he felt the baby bite down and he almost yelled.
'He’s teething .’ He sighed.
“My poor little man, do your teeth hurt, hm?” He’d actually stopped crying and Patryk could finally hear the real world again, including the click of the door opening.
“Fuck, it’s quiet.” Paul stepped into the living room and watched as Patryk bounced Tord for a second before stepping over to them and stroking Tord’s thin, blonde hair until it stood up like a mohican.
“Hey, little trooper, did you have a good five year cry?” He cooed and Tord gurgled around Patryk’s finger.
“He’s teething.” Paul rubbed the back of his neck.
“I had a hunch, but I wasn’t too sure. Either way I got him one of those rings.” Patryk bent at the hip to kiss him on the lips.
“You’re a blessing.”
He then watched as Paul took out the small teething ring, which was yellow with Winnie the Pooh smiling on top, and then a bottle of Jack Daniel’s.
“Aaand, I got this too.” Patryk laughed.
“Scratch that, you’re a curse.”
AU where Harry, Ron and Hermione’s solution for every persecuted party they encountered was just to bundle them off to Charlie in Romania like they did with Norbert.
First year: “Oh, cool, Ron’s sent me a dragon. Not seen one of this breed in a while, sweet. Better write him telling him I was happy to help.”
Second year: “Hagrid?? What are you doing– what’s this about a Chamber? Oh, never mind. Come see Norbert, you’ll barely recognise him. Ginny, you too, the more the merrier.”
Third year, speaking to a Howler: “RONALD WEASLEY NEXT TIME YOUR FRIENDS INTEND TO SEND ME A LARGE TEMPERAMENTAL FEATHERED BEAST WITH A LARGE TEMPERAMENTAL CONVICTED FELON – HOWEVER INNOCENT HE MAY BE – ON ITS BACK, WARN ME FIRST.”
Fourth year: “You know what, I’m just going to sit here on Hogwarts grounds, mind these dragons, and if my brother asks for any favours I’m going to feed him to them.” Followed by, “No, Hermione, I am under no circumstances taking any of these house elves with me. No.”
Fifth year: “Sirius! Nice seeing you again, I trust you’re well? Just as well Harry checked with the Order to make sure he wasn’t being tricked and sent you to me for safekeeping, huh?”
Sixth year: “Hey, aren’t you that Malfoy kid? They’re trying to get you to do what? Fuck that. Here, let’s not think about that now, I’ve got a job for you. Fancy learning how to tame a Hungarian Horntail?”
Seventh year: “You know, this dragon sanctuary wasn’t supposed to be an all year round summer camp for muggles and half-bloods, but I’m having a fair bit of fun here.”
Abu Huraira (Allah be pleased with him) reported that he (the Messenger of Allah) was asked as to which prayer was most excellent after the prescribed prayer, and which fast was most excellent after the month of Ramadan. He said: “The most excellent prayer after what is prescribed is prayer offered in the middle of the night and the most excellent fast after (fasting) in the month of Ramadan is the fast in God’s month al-Muharram.” Sahih Muslim 1163 b In-book reference : Book 13, Hadith 262 USC-MSA web (English) reference : Book 6, Hadith 2612
Simon stepped into the library with an armload of books. All returns for a change. Finally finished with papers and exams for the semester, it felt like checking one last thing off the list before he could relax and just enjoy the holidays. He placed all the books in the return bin before heading over the fiction section to see if there were any promising options for a little light reading. He stopped as he saw the other standing there, “Ah shit, sorry, I’ll come back later.”
Abu Musa reported Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ) as saying that Allah, the Exalted and Glorious, Stretches out His Hand during the night so that the people may repent for the fault committed from dawn till dusk and He stretches out His Hand during the day so that the people may repent for the fault committed from dusk to dawn. an assignment for my digital illustration class: illustrate a book cover
Young Maddi would be so impressed with this. Song of the Lioness was the series that got me into fantasy, and I owe a lot to it. I still remember finding all of Tamora Pierce’s Tortall books in a blue bin on the floor of my elementary school’s tiny library. I was drawn to “Alanna: The First Adventure” because it had a horse on the cover. The rest is history. (I told my parents I was going to be a knight when I grew up.)
New World (Cesur Yeni Dünya) teziydi.
Huxley, 1984’te insanların acı çekerek denetlendiğine dikkat çekerken; Brave New World’de insanlar hazza boğularak denetlenmektedirler.
Oh gosh, as for a song I’d reccomend “Loves just a feeling” done by Lindsey Sterling (violinist) and for the book…… one sec
